4168aI haven’t bought much counterfeit underwear. However, this seems to be going among brands. Obviously is taking steps to fight counterfeiting. Here is how they are planning to do it

Obviously Apparel has always had a strong culture of innovation – always striving to bring you highly engineered products – it’s no surprise that our designs are some of the most copied in the industry.

But now Obviously is taking on a new challenge, and we invite every underwear lover, every store and every underwear brand to join us in the fight to stamp out cheap counterfeiting of genuine underwear products.

Counterfeit products use cheap imitation fabrics and elastics to bring a sub-standard product that does not meet any of Obviously’s stringent environmental, social and design criteria – a product you still pay top dollar for but receive a cheap imitation instead.

So how are we going to do it?

Starting early next year, every single Obviously product made in our factory that you buy will come with a unique anti-counterfeit code on it.

Our encryption technology will utilize advanced military grade encryption and has a guaranteed zero percent chance of duplication of codes between products.

To check if your product is original you simply visit www.obviously.com.au, punch in the code and your product will be verified as a genuine original within seconds.

It’s that easy. Perfect peace of mind.

If your product is identified as counterfeit you will be notified and you can ask your supplier why they are selling fake goods.

We encourage every underwear brand to follow our lead and stamp out counterfeiting for good, for the sake of our customers and the entire industry.

Whether you are a store, a customer or another brand, please feel free to contact Obviously for more information about this new system. Once implemented these anti-counterfeiting measures will be available for all others brands and stores to license from Obviously.
