Underwear Review

Category

Papi is a brand of underwear I’ve not come across before so I was eager to try these Modal Euro trunks out. First impressions are really important with underwear and these tick all the right boxes.

The Modal material is soft and feels really nice on. The colour is a bold orange with a black and orange waistband containing the Papi logo, which certainly works for me. The trunks are well put together and when you try them on, the ticks continue, as they feel great.

The Euro trunk is a style of underwear is a new style for me and is a very short-legged trunk. So much so that the square cut legs finish above the base of the pouch in a similar style to that of a brief but maintaining the square cut of a trunk. It’s a style I’ve seen more in swimwear than underwear. The picture demonstrates what I’m talking about much more clearly.

The pouch is a nice size and works for the average man – looking sufficiently filled out – but I reckon would also work for the man who has no need for any kind of wonder jock uplift. The material is stretchy but doesn’t lose shape or style.

The trunks offer full rear coverage and a thin (1″) piece of material connects the pouch to the rear of the underwear. Herein lies my only concern when wearing them – if you don’t make sure everything is in the pouch and things get trapped in this region, it’s not comfy, trust me!

I’ve worn these trunks a number of times in all situations and give them a big thumbs up. The material is super soft, comfy, wicks moisture away well, and you can often forget you have them on.

My only caution is how the trunks will wear. My review pair already has a couple of pulls on them. I’ve managed to pull a couple of stitches around the leg by not being careful enough when removing them. Having said that, I wouldn’t let this minor concern prevent me from buying another pair.

I reviewed a medium and they fit as expected. Papi provided the pair for this review.

I love getting new undies to review. It’s like an honest version of Christmas. A surprise package arrives at your door, you open it up and you don’t have to lie saying you like it; you can give the honest truth.

When I first opened the package and saw the Body Tech Colorblocked Briefs, I thought it was a joke, I thought Body Tech had made undies out of the scraps left on the cutting room floor. That said, I loved how they looked. They are different, made with a panel construction each of a different color. These panels help the briefs hug your body and really show off the pouch.

These briefs fit well and hugged even my lacking rear-end. The separate pouch in the front could be a little bigger but it works well to bring the boys front and center without pushing them too far out.

These briefs also have some cool grommets on the front of the waistband to give them some flair above the pants. After only wearing them a few times, one of the grommets is starting to fall out and these briefs have never even been in the dryer.

I really fell in love with the bright colors and unique panel design as well as the fit. I wish the construction was a little better but I will continue to wear them with or without the grommet.

When I received this pair of underwear to review, the first thing that caught my eye was the extremely soft and lightweight Rayon fabric used in the construction of this sexy and stylish brief.  Once again, Andrew Christian remains consistent with conduction, functionality, and fashion forward designs.

Upon further inspection, I immediately discovered the hidden ‘comfy cup’ AC refers to that is represented across many of his other styles.   The horseshoe shaped inner cup is lined by soft elastic that gently aids in lifting and supporting the family jewels.  Once you’ve experienced this unique and flattering construction for yourself, you won’t care to ever go back to the traditional brief.  I wore these while on vacation in Palm Springs and let me tell you, these kept me dry all day long in the hot desert heat and provided the comfort and support I’ve come to cherish with the AC brand.

One other valuable component to these sexy briefs is the trademark “anti-muffin” elastic waistband.  At approximately 1.75 inches (4.45 cm), it carries the signature Andrew Christian name along with sporty stripes.  The tri-color waistband, along with the contrast stitching along the leg openings and on both sides of the pouch, adds an additional sporty look to the overall design.

In summary, if you’re hot natured and sweat a lot anytime you exert even the least amount of physical activity, then these cool, lightweight, and absorbent briefs are a perfect addition to your underwear collection and come highly recommended.

In the past week, I’ve tested 3 pair of underwear from the 2xist SLIQ (sleek) collection and, unfortunately, these are my least favorite.  In reviewing any pair of underwear, I attempt to stay very subjective and open minded; however, these were a real challenge and left me somewhat disappointed.  Typically, I find 2xist to be the leader and one of the top designers when it comes to men’s fashionable underwear that I fall in love with. These briefs simply don’t fit the bill.

Overall the briefs are well constructed and consist of the typical blend of fabrics which consists of 90% cotton and 10% Spandex.  This provides adequate support, flexibility, and comfort but these unfortunately didn’t hold up during my test. To be more specific, the seam around the bottom of the leg would not keep the brief in place and I constantly had to adjust by pulling them across by ass.  This wasn’t an issue of wrong size; I have a 31” waist and these were a medium size pair.  I have to believe that they weren’t cut properly to cover the entire backside of my buttocks as it caused the fabric to pucker from the base of my leg up to the lower hip.  Sorry 2xist, but you need to take these back to the drawing board.

However, I will acknowledge the fact that these briefs are very light weight and extremely comfortable and create a very sleek esthetic.   In all other aspects, I wasn’t disappointed with how they supported my junk, which is actually one of their signature features with the SLIQ line.  Their extreme contoured pouch offers more support and an enhanced natural profile.

In summary, I think 2xist may have to rethink their design or it could have simply been a case of a defective pair. I would have expected this to be discovered during inspection. I’m not suggesting that you totally disregard this brief but it might be something you look out for when testing out their new SLIQ line.  These briefs are available in the following colors:  Black (as shown), Sangria, Charcoal, and White.

Though it’s starting to get quite cold outside, there is still plenty of reason to spice it up inside. If you need some help finding spice, look no further than Croota. They are known for making awesome underwear and swimwear at an awesome price.

Surfers Paradise is a great pair of underwear. Not only does the fabric itself have a design but the waistband has one also. For me, it’s the little things that count and this is certainly one of those things. When you combine that with the witty sayings on the waistband, this makes it a great pair of underwear and something worth buying. Since there is so little fabric, there is little room for error and makes this underwear so so comfortable. It survived all day which is pretty hectic these days, so that’s saying a lot.

The Surfers Paradise is comprised of 95% Cotton and 5% Polyurethane. Although there isn’t much fabric on there to start, what little fabric is there is very very very comfortable. It’s a great pair of underwear, and if you’re lacking something creative in your drawer, you need to check the Surfers Paradise out. Besides the blue plaid color, there is also a purple color that deserves a look as well, even though blue is a waaay better color.

Croota provided me with this pair of underwear to review.

I was given a pair of Papi Cool Pass United Trunk – Mexico to review and was very excited as this was the first pair of Papi Underwear that I’ve worn.  They were incredibly comfortable and showed off all the good things in life.  When I first put them on, I heard a little stitch popping but never saw any evidence of it.  I was a little concerned that I might have received a pair that was a too small for me but that was not the case.  After several washings and wearings, I can say they have held up nicely.  🙂

These are great undies and I love the colors.  My wife thought I was wearing Christmas undies because of the red, green, and white color scheme.  When she saw the number on it, she realized they were a sports trunk supporting our brothers south of the border (in Mexico) and she really liked how they showed things off “south of the border”.

This great pair of undies hugs the boys and keeps everything right where it needs to be.  There is a pouch front that gives good support and provides a great profile.  They are made of 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex.

If you are looking for a great trunk and want something that would be great for the holidays then check out Papi Cool Pass United Trunk – Mexico.  I’m thankful for the opportunity to try these and I really did fall in love with Papi!  So check out all that Papi has to offer at http://papiinc.com/thepapistore/. Thank you, Papi, for providing me with this pair of underwear to review.

I got a whole bunch of Undergear.com undies

I got to meet with Undergear.com back in Aug while in Vegas. I am expecting some really great things from them. They are stepping up quality, have a great designer, and redoing the holiday catalog (as we have seen)! UnderGear is taking underwear seriously.

The pair I got to review was the Body Tech ® Solid Brief which is a mix of a brief and a boxer brief. The first thing I noticed was the covered waistband. I am typically not a fan of because I don’t think they fit as well as most. But, again, I was surprised. The waist band fit pretty well.

The Solid Pair, in general, really impressed me. I liked the fit and the pouch it created. More often then not, boxer briefs really don’t fit me well and bunch up and don’t have support in the pouch. These did and I was glad they did. I would suggest checking them out.

We get the second in the Obviously series. This time, we get to check out the new Full Cut Boxer Brief. This is another pair from the Autumn line.  Once again I got another green pair! YES! So now I have probably 3-4 pairs. When I think of it, the other pair of Obviously I have is also green. So, I guess there is something with me, Obviously, and green.

I will say I was looking forward to these because, of the pouch. I don’t care for boxer briefs without a pouch. The Obliviously pouch is ergonomically designed. I do like how they have integrated it into the boxer briefs.  Some of my favorite boxer briefs all have pouches. Not all pairs do, so I usually stay away from the ones without pouches. Hence why this pair was perfect for me

The pair really fit well. I was very happy with them. I wore them on a night out. I knew that I probably wouldn’t have much issue with them since I enjoyed the brief. It was a low key movie night at a friends. The one thing that really struck me with these is it didn’t feel like I was wearing boxer briefs. I felt like I was wearing briefs

These are also available in the same four colors as the Low Rise Brief: Plum, Kiwi, Glacier and Blue Stone. Like I said, they are perfect for Autumn

It’s been a long time since we have reviewed some Obviously, possibly over a year. They have released a brand new line called Autumn. If you have been on the net, you have seen these at many of your favorite retailers. I got two pair to review: the Low Rise Brief and the Full Cut Boxer. This review is about the Brief.

When I got the briefs, I noticed they are my favorite color: green. There aren’t too many green undies out there. It’s a rare color lately, so that had me super excited. The current range of colors are: Plum, Kiwi, Glacier, and Blue Stone. They are the perfect colors for Autumn.

The one thing I have always liked about Obviously is the pouch. It’s just very ergonomically designed. It really fits well and doesn’t hold things in and make you uncomfortable through out the day. As most of you know, a pouch is one of my favorite things. So, I have to say hats off to Obviously for that!

I wore them to run errands, and yes, it seems I have a lot of errands lately. They fit pretty well. They are also super soft and you can tell they really pay attention to materials. Have you ever had a pair of underwear that just drove you crazy because of the materials it was made out of? Well I don’t think you will have that problem with these.

I reviewed the briefs and now it’s time to review the Boxer Brief. We all know I’m a little picky when it comes to Boxer Briefs. I hate the ones that ride up, drive me crazy, and loose their form. So, I had big hopes for this pair and it would live up to the Spanx quality.

I will say I wasn’t disappointed. Like the briefs, these have the 3D technology. Pouches in boxer briefs are something I always love. The pouch is very similar to the brief. The pair that I wore to run errands in, really held up well. My usual concerns with riding up didn’t happen. These pretty much held their shape all day. The legs stayed in place and the rest kept its form.

I will say that Spanx is doing a great job with men’s underwear. I think the boxer briefs would be great for wearing to work or even to the gym. They have the panel in the front that allows airflow and they are very classic styling.  Like the briefs, these are not shape wear but they are definitely great quality underwear.

I wore these for a full day which sometimes makes me nervous with a review pair. I usually wear them for a bit and then again a second time. I had no choice but to go from 8 in the morning till 8 that night. I was very happy and even happier that I have a matching t-shirt and tank to go with them!

We bring you more Spanx! I have really been enjoying the shirts. When they sent me the undies, I was really excited as well. I have to make one disclaimer about the shirts. I noted they rode up some but found if I pulled them down below the waist band of the pants, they generally stay in place. So I was very happy!

I got the briefs and really liked the design. The pouch has a really new and innovative front. It has mesh along the side that makes it very breathable. I haven’t seen this much in men’s underwear. So Spanx has put their own spin on underwear. I love pouch underwear and wondered if this would give much support. It gave me great support through out the day. This technology is what they call the 3D pouch.

You may be thinking that if it’s Spanx it will make you appear thinner. Well, that’s the case for the shirts but not the underwear. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check them out. I think they have tackled men’s underwear and done a great job at it. I hope they keep designing more.

The construction of the briefs was great too. They used high quality materials and it was sewn together very well. The sizing was very true also. It has traditional American sizing. I am in between sizes and maybe should have gone down a size. But, when you are on the line, you never know what size to get. I say, if you’re on the line, go down to a smaller size.

Frank Dandy Superwear!  I had never heard of this company, so this pair of underwear was a pleasant surprise.  The complany was founded in Sweden in 2003 as an anti-tighty-whitey company.  As you know, the tighty whitey can be a bit predictable and it is always good to have underwear that adds spice to your life.  The products from this company include underwear, leisurewear, beachwear, and accessories.  The patterns challenge what one thinks when pondering what a pair of mens underwear should be comprised of and really pushes the limits.  Precisely, the underwear is called Men’s Hayman Boxer, Raspberry, 95% Cotton, 5% Elastane.  This pair is navy blue with a white palm frond pattern and raspberry waistband.

I modeled the new pair in the mirror and found them to be exciting underwear.  I really liked the fit.  I found the fabric to be soft and flexible, having just the right amount of support in all areas.  This boxer brief has an almost flat front which I found to be the right flexibility for me.  The leg length hit mid-thigh.  Waistband width was a plus at 1.75” (4.45 cm) since I do not care for a large waistband.  The overall stitching on the pair of underwear was nice and looked good with the natural line of the male form.

After I commuted to work for an hour and a half and spent the day working, I found this pair of underwear to not ride up with normal wear and was comfortable over a long period of time.  My experience reveals no major complaints about this boxer brief.  The size large was a great fit for me as well.  Underwear sizing is not totally universal and, frankly, never seems to go with the size of your pants.  I found that the large was a great fit for size 34 pants and would probably be good for a size 32-36 with regular washing, drying, and wear.

After reviewing the Frank Dandy website, I have to say that I am impressed with the pattern selection, cut, and style offered from this company.  The entire selection is one that I would enjoy trying.  The fabric and cut are the main things  making us want to try more of this brand.

These were provided by Kingston Lounge Now, North American Distributor for Frank Dandy.

I met Frank Dandy at Curve and have struck up a great relationship with them. They are distributors based here in the Atlanta and have some really fun and great underwear. The thing I like best about Frank Dandy is they do some really cool things with prints. They aren’t boring and plain.

I got probably the most conservative pair they have. The Frank Brief. They have a really great waistband. Which you now I love. It’s a blue, white and red waistband. A little thicker, but felt great. If you aren’t a fan of wider waistbands you may stick to the regular.

The brief fit great. I liked the fit and feel of them. They were made out of a nylon blend that really breathed thought out the day. One thing that I know you guys may like is they are an awesome gym pair. They are simple in styling but fit great. I’m sure you wouldn’t draw too much attention to yourself.

These are perfect for those of you wanting a great pair to wear to the gym but still be stylish and not draw too much attention to yourself. I really enjoyed them and will wear them often.

The title of these N2N pair of briefs brings a whole new meaning to the word, Twilight.   I have several N2N pair of underwear in an array of styles/colors and I’ll have to say that thus far, this is my overall favorite pair.  I love the sexy black color with light grey and yellow stripping that’s incorporated into the waistband.  Give time, I suspect these briefs could gain equal share of recognition and popularity as the movie with the same title.

I wore these outdoors all day during a photo shoot and they held up extremely well in the heat and felt comfortable throughout the day.  Perhaps these are conducive to warmer weather due to the fact that they are constructed with a blend of 90% cotton and 10% Spandex.  Similar to a jock waistband, these fundamentally create extra freedom and provide a breathable fabric that makes them cooler than you traditional pair of bikini briefs.  The baby ribbed material provides an extra sporty and textured look that gives their silhouette color an extra added visual punch (also available in heather, and white).

My hope is that these will hold up after multiple wares and washes. Like many high end designers, a slightly higher percentage of man-made material (i.e. Lycra, Spandex) or quality cotton could further their life expectancy and go a long way with an even more polished and finished look.

The Twilight Brief is the first pair of underwear from N2N.  I have tried their workout shorts and liked how they performed.  I had wanted to review underwear by them and now I have been given the chance.

I was happy with the material, made up of 90% cotton and 10% Spandex.  It is comfortable with a good amount of stretch.  Call me spoiled, but I had hoped these briefs would come with a formed pouch.  With all the brands out there which sport an accentuated pouch, I would think N2N might want this great feeling brief to give its wearer the most comfort as possible.  I’m not a fan of briefs that push everything against my body, or in better terms, require me to form my own pouch.

The waistband is a color combination of yellow, gray, and black with the N2N logo surrounding the body.  The band measures 1.5 inches (3.81 cm).  To be elastic, it is a smooth material so not to cut into the body throughout the day.  The leg openings are lined with a cloth covered elastic band.  The altogether fit of the brief was helped by this feature.  The briefs remained in place all the day of classes and lots of walking.

I have to admit right off the bat that I am not much of a boxer briefs guy.  When I first received these Frank Dandy Pitch Boxer Briefs, I was a little hesitant.  I pulled them out of the packaging, however, and they looked more like a square-cut brief than a boxer brief.  Either way, the fit of these is amazing and the fabric is so soft, causing these to be towards the top of my underwear drawer.

To start off, the Pitch Boxer Brief looks good.  They have a college style to them that isn’t over the top but adds flair.  The pin stripes are not something I see on undies often, but it’s something I really like.  They also added a slight 70’s styling with the small cuts up the side.  Secondly, the fabric is soft and fits well.  The only downfall to this is if you are lacking a butt, like me.  They don’t hug your buns, leaving them a little baggy in the rear.  They held their shape well and never rode up, even though the legs don’t have tight elastic around them.

The Pitch Boxer Brief was my first interaction with Frank Dandy.  I have to stay I am really happy with the fit, material, and overall styling.  I will definitely revisit Frank Dandy again.

Baskit is a brand of underwear that has been around for a little while, and has really taken their undies to a new level as of lately. When I first tried Baskit, they were your pretty standard men’s underwear company. Their collections were your stereotypical basic colors, and cuts. How things have changed.  If you haven’t checked out some of the new styles and cuts from Bakit, you are missing out. Baskit has taken their collections to a whole new level.

One of the new collections that Baskit has launched is its Fine Line’s Collection. With this collection, you can tell that Baskit is starting to push the limits of their collections. In Baskit’s Fine Lines collection you will find a mix of Briefs, Thongs, Square Cuts, and trunks, in White and Indigo. This whole collection is made of a silkier fabric with thin (fine) mesh strips. They are very attractive, and very sexy.

I received the Baskit Fine Lines brief in a size medium and indigo in color.  The sizing was perfect for my 32” waist. The waist band is very traditional. It is white with a gray band and features the Basket logo all the way around. But drop below the waistband and these undies are anything but typical.

This pair of undies is made out of 90% Nylon and 10% Spandex giving them a silky soft feeling that stretches and moves with you. They also feature a decent size pouch that I found to have plenty of room and supported everything just fine. The leg openings are decent in size, and stretch to fit and not ride up.  The patter is something that you just need to see.  It is very sexy looking, in that it has these mesh vertical strips that run all the way around the brief. They are reveling, without being to reveling.

The one thing that I didn’t like about these undies is the care tag on the back.  If you have read any of my past reviews, you will know I am not a big fan of a care tag in the back to begin with, but this tag seemed to bother me more than others. These undies are some soft and light weight, and then you add a tag that to some could ruin the experience.

I haven’t gotten to try Baskit in a year or so, but I am very pleased with how far they have come, and am very excited to see where they plan to go. Overall, I really liked these briefs. They are a great mix of sexy and functional, which is hard to find.

I love it when underwear brand take something that has the whole world bussing and makes an underwear collection around it. One of my favorite brands is Gigo. If you have never tried them, I highly recommend them. They not only fit great, but they have some of the most fun patterns, colors, and fabric combinations of any brand that I know.

This summer the world was engrossed with everything soccer as the World Cup took over our TV and internet connections. Gigo took all the excitement that is World Cup and turned it into some fun undies. What I like best about the World Cup special edition collection is that it allows you to support your favorite team while supporting, well, you know, your soccer balls.

I received the World Cup style in a size medium. They are a pretty traditional trunk cut undies with a black waistband with a gray Gigo logo and a soccer ball print. The one thing that I really liked about this pair of Gigo, is that it was a more traditional cotton fabric.  The other pairs of Gigo that I have had, have all been a synthetic, which I like, but it was nice to try a more traditional fabric. The fabric is very soft and has a great feel to it.

If you have never tried Gigo, one thing you will want to keep in mind is that they run a little small. So, if you are one of those guys that sit on the border of the size chart, I would go with the bigger size. Gigo is known to be a tighter fitting brand, but that is one thing that I love.  These Gigo provided a great pouch so even though they fit tighter, there is still plenty of room for your “soccer balls.”

I have worn these running and for everyday wear, and they are great for both.  One thing that I did notice is after a few washes the black on the soccer ball patterned fabric has faded, which is something that didn’t happen with my other pair of Gigo.

Overall I really liked this pair of Gigo. They are fun and sporty, comfy and well constructed; all great qualities that I look for in a great pair of undies.

You can see these and the entire World Cup collection on the Gigo website, but if you want to get your hand on a pair you will need to check out a site like Underwear Station. These boxer cuts will cost you around $28 USD. This pattern also comes in a g-string and a jockstrap cut as well.  Underwear Station provided me with these undies to review.

What can be said for Andrew Christian that hasn’t already been said?  I don’t think there is anything else that can be said other than the guy is a pure genius in the arena of underwear designers.  It’s refreshing to know that a designer has come along that realizes underwear should fit you in accordance to what you posses and not what little or more the designer guesses you can place inside their creations.  A true testament to the designer is when his/her creations accentuate the wearer and not force them to hide their body.  Andrew Christian has nailed this premise with his Almost Naked line of briefs, trunks, and boxers.  I have acquired a pair of boxers to review for UNB.

I should state before I get into the review that I am not a frequent boxer brief wearer.  I do not wear boxers at all, but I will occasionally put on a pair of boxer briefs.  No matter the design, if I wear them, they have to be comfortable.  My complaint about boxer briefs is that on my body, they ride like you would not believe.  I will spent most of the day stopping on the sidewalk or in a store and pull the legs back into place.  As you can imagine, this does cause some strange looks from others.  I simply stand up and smile, mostly at the other guys smiling toward me, because deep down inside, they know exactly what I’m doing and why.  When I wore these, I found myself missing those looks as I never once had to pull them back into place.

I hold the Andrew Christian Almost Naked Sport Boxer in the utmost high praise.  The material (94% Super Soft Rayon made from Bamboo and 6% Spandex) is soft and flexible yet strong enough to stay put when you are actively moving about the office or out in public.  The Sport Boxer features the Anti-Muffin Top elastic “for a slimmer looking waistline.”  The waistband measures 1.75 inches (4.445 cm).  The leg openings are the same fabric and color as the piping along the sides (not visible) adding to the aesthetic of these boxers.  The construction of the natural-hang pouch is beyond explanation.  Whatever you posses, the pouch will easily uplift and present.  I’ve seen pictures of certain performers wearing the Almost Naked line and, without a doubt, there should be no second guessing whether or not they will provide adequate room and allow a natural hang to avoid pinching.

I wore these while at work for an eight hour shift.  The problem with many of the boxer briefs I wear is that when I am sitting at work, the boxers slide up my leg and tend to bunch.  I was surprised when I stood up and felt the boxers  had remained in place.  That caused me to love them from then on.   I reviewed a medium but feel that I could use a small.  My body is stuck in one of those “in between” sizes where you never truly know what size to purchase.

A wonderful aspect about purchasing from Andrew Christian is the fact that you can be sure you are buying American made products.  These and other designs created by AC are made in the design studio in Los Angeles, CA.  That, in itself, gives me motivation to buy from this company because it allows many Americans to have jobs in this time of economic insecurity.

The Andrew Christian Almost Naked Sports Boxer is a fantastic addition in the world of men’s underwear.  If you are a constant wearer of this design, having this boxer in your collection would be a benefit.  You can find the AC Sports Boxer at the company website located at www.andrewchristianshop.com and they are priced at $34.00.

Hi guys.  I’m Wayne, and although I spend a lot of time on the site, this is my first time reviewing.  In other words, bear with me!

Recently, I purchased a pair of the Andrew Christian “Show-It” thongs.  I know what some of you are saying right off the bat.  “OMG!  That’s enhancing underwear!”  Why, yes it is.  I work in retail as a department manager, sometimes putting in 13 hours a day.  I need a pair of briefs to provide the right amount of support so I don’t have to make the dreaded “crotch adjustment” in public.  That was my reasoning behind this purchase.

Andrew Christian underwear is made in the good old U.S.A.  Maybe someone at AC likes me, but every time I place an order, even though I pay for the regular USPS ground shipping, someone bucks it up to priority shipping without charging me anything extra.  No complaints here!

These undies are made from 90% cotton and 10% spandex.  The cotton makes them breathable while the spandex provides support in all the right areas.  The waistband is only a mere 1 1/4″ with the “anti-muffin top elastic”.  The designers hit the mark.  Personally, I can’t stand elastic that bunches up or rolls over during the course of the day.

The “show-it” technology incorporates a cotton pouch for your junk.  Slide them on, and with one adjustment, you’re pretty much good to go.  It kept my package in place all day without me having to make the any adjustments.

I’ve worn these underwear two times since receiving them.  They look great and feel just as wonderful (that is, if you’re into wearing a thong, which I can understand if that’s not your style).  I was at work during both times I’ve worn them.  The first time was for only an eight hour shift.  No problems and   comfy all day long.  The second time I wore them, it was for a longer day…a 13 hour shift.

I feel the thong strap could have been cut a bit longer because after many hours, they were becoming a little uncomfortable.  I powered on, however, and made it through the day.  I’d have to say that for a regular day, or a night out on the town, you’ll be fine and comfy the entire time.  Depending on how tight you pull up the thong back, you may want to rethink your choice if you’re going to be wearing them as long as I did.

A personal love of mine is trying underwear I thought, in the not too distant past, I would never have the chance to try.  The feeling of sliding new exciting underwear into place is one that cannot be described in words.  A chance to try underwear from another country…well, that can provide this exact feeling.  I am proud to have had the opportunity to wear a pair of James Tudor underwear.

The James Tudor Half Fall Boxer
The James Tudor Half Fall Boxer

From across “the pond”, James Tudor rises as an innovative new brand in the UK.  The motivation, it seems, behind this new brand is the need and desire of men to have underwear that meets the growing demand of fashion and comfort, something we believe should be synonymous with each other.  From the logo waistband to the piping, James Tudor has taken great strides in providing today’s man with both characteristics in “revolutionary styles, from the magnetic fly to the traditional basics such as the athletic brief.”

This review pertains to the Half Fall Boxer in black with white piping in size small, being 30-32 inches (76-81 cm).  When first slipping them on, I noticed the leg openings were a bit snug but not overly tight.  This was credited to my thighs being somewhat meatier than other small wearing men.  The crotch is crafted perfectly with a nice opening, circling the male anatomy and creating a nest for its home.  The fly, if that’s what it is referred to, is not your normal opening.  Three buttons fasten the fly closed.  The waistband is 1.5 inches (3.81 cm) wide with the logo front and center.  The material is 95% cotton and 5% Lycra.  The piping creates an amazing frame around the hips.  The tags are placed in non-irritating locations and are not rough to the touch, indicating great thought and design in the creative process.

The feel of these boxers is phenomenal.  The material is a fantastic combination and one that will provide you with hours of comfort.  The opening in the fly is not restricting to retrieval in the slightest.  The buttons unbutton to a perfect spot where one can easily remove and replace his tackle.  During a day of walking at school and shopping, there was no binding or pinching.  The cut may be different to some as it is cut more squarely than some other brand trunks.  Never the less, it is centered on comfort and style and I believe James Tudor is spot on.

I was given a pair of Extreme Ring Brief from Undergear® to review and they can be purchased for $16.99.  At first I thought it was a swim suit as the material reminded me of swimsuit material.  I examined the brief and realized that indeed it was undies.  It has a material inside that you use to keep the boys forward to enhance and create a nice eye catching bulge.  However, the pouch that is suppose to house the boys once through the ring seemed a little low and I had to make adjustments to make the boys comfortable.

It’s in an army green and I really like the color.  Once I had them on I enjoyed the material as it is soft and flexible and supportive.  The cut was nice and comfortable but I don’t think these are useful for all day wear.  They would be great for a date night or special occasion.  Every time I had to take care of personal business I had to re-feed the boys through the ring and adjust the pouch just to be comfortable.

N2N Bodywear Trainer Short
N2N Bodywear Trainer Short

I was recently given the chance to review the N2N Bodywear Trainer Short. This short can be purchased from the N2N Bodywear Site for $24.00. They come in black/olive, gray/yellow, and navy/white. N2N provided these for review. These are gym/lounge shorts, but who’s to say you can’t wear them as underwear. That is totally up to you! They are comfortable enough for either.

The material of these shorts is so wonderful against the skin…smooth and not clingy in the slightest. The material is stretchy and 100% cotton. I reviewed a small and there was plenty of room. If there was an X-small, I would have been quite content. The drawstring came in good use. I felt the waist sat low.

I wore these shorts for a while before I put them through a workout. I knew from the moment I put them on that one should wear either briefs or a jock underneath. There are still a bunch of people out there at the gym that are very conservative and don’t want to see, much less imagine, someones junk flopping from side to side. I looked at my crotch and could see an outline of the guy. Given this, I put on my briefs then put on the trainer short. All was corrected. I’m sure if one chooses to wear accentuating underwear underneath, you will get as much of the attention you are expecting or wanting to get.

If there was anything I would change, it would have to be the drawstring. I’ve never been that crazy about drawstrings on any article of clothing, including jogging pants. I’m more of an elastic waistband guy. Why? Because the last thing I want to deal with when I go to the bathroom is having to stop…untie…pull out…put back in…tie back up. With these shorts, the issue is when you untie, you better be ready to have a hand free to hold them up. Otherwise, you will be the weirdo at the urinal with your shorts around your ankles. Just let me know what gym you go to first so there can be pictures!

Overall, I will give the N2N Bodywear Trainer Short a 4.76. The fit for the size was a little weird, but that is just personal taste in my workout gear. The material, as I said, feels fantastic. Make sure you read the care instructions…”Hand or machine wash cold water and tumble dry low.” My personal issue with the drawstring affected the put together score and more the overall score than any other aspect. The look is great and daily wear is all a matter of what you are comfortable with in public.

Obviously is a brand I have heard so much about. Everyone I know whose purchased them has loved them. Needless to say, I was really excited about reviewing them. They came and I put them on the next day. First thing I noticed was the pouch fit me rather funny. It has a very good and fitted pouch, but it felt like it was slightly squeezing me. I thought, if this is going to feel this wPage_body_product_PLBR_green_sinuousay through out the day, there is no way I can wear them. After about 20 minutes, however, I didn’t notice it.

I wore them for that day and they fit very well. The material is incredible. We have told you about Micro Modal before and I wasn’t sure how it would fit. It reminded me of a nylon lycra blend. It was comfortable and breathed through out the day. I was glad they lived up to their reputation. The best thing is they sent me a green pair. Do you ask why I was so excited? Well, green is my favorite color and whenever I see green undies, I get them. It’s not often you see that color in the choices.

One thing I noticed is that you should never wash these with anything containing Velcro. I washed them with some cargo shorts and I Page_body_product_PLBR_graphite_sinuousfound my briefs stuck to the cargos. I thought,”What in the hell is going on here!” I first thought that maybe they melted but I didn’t set the dryer that high. When I looked further, I noticed it was the Velcro. It didn’t do any damage to the undies except a little to the inside of the waistband.

I did like these and will wear them again. The materials are my favorite and I hope  more companies use this type. It’s truly amazing. Even though the fit didn’t agree with me at first, they became much more comfortable and the day passed.
These were furnished by Obviously and you can pick them up at the Obviously website for $23.59, depending on exchange rates. We will be reviewing more Obviously, so look for them soon. They include the thong and jock!
