  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 10/10

Pros:

  • Comfortable
  • Fun Print

Cons:

  • Sweaty
  • Price

Welcome to my first sportswear review on UNB! I recently had the opportunity to try the JOR Action Shorts, and I am impressed.

I will admit my bias going into this review. I have been a fan of JOR tights for a few years now so the shorts are just a shorter version of something I already love. That said, they aren’t perfect, but they are quality.

While definitely comfortable, you’re going to sweat your balls off in these, literally. The polyester fabric doesn’t breathe a ton and may not be for everyone, but I don’t mind that.

These shorts also are somewhere between short and compression short. Meaning they are certainly tighter than your average short, but not as tight as I find most compression shorts. The only semi-annoying part was the elastic at the bottom of the shorts did feel a bit tight around my thighs.

These really win when it comes to styling. The JOR Action Shorts have a fun, wild pattern to help spice up typical boring gymwear. These aren’t meant to be hidden under a pair of baggy shorts, show these off! Much like JOR tights, these shorts do a great job of showing off the butt, so all those squats won’t go unnoticed.

Speaking of squats, an important element for me when it comes to sportswear is what I call the Squat Test. Can I squat at the gym without the shorts riding down? The answer for these is YES! These will definitely work well for leg day, or any day at the gym.

Overall, I’m a fan. They are an investment, but high quality. If you like tight shorts, consider adding these to your collection.

JOR furnished the 1028 Shark Swim Bikini for review. All opinions are that of the reviewer.

Rating: 9/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 8/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:

  • Fun print
  • Comfortable fabric
  • Stylish bikini cut

Cons:

  • Sizing
  • No drawstring
  • Letters/numbers printed on back won’t be for everyone

If you’ve listened to the most recent UNB Podcast, you’ll know that summer swimwear season is NOT canceled. So what better time to review a new swim bikini, right before the summer heat arrives!

The first thing I noticed about the JOR 1028 Shark Swim Bikini was how soft it felt. If you’re going to lounge by a pool or catch some sun in your backyard, this would work well for an afternoon in the sun.

The second thing I noticed is the bikini cut. The style is just a bit skimpier than a tradition swim brief, both my package and butt were covered, there’s just a little sexy hint of butt cheek sticking out. This is right up my alley, but some may prefer to opt for a fuller swim brief cut.

I love the design of the pouch. It is styled to appropriately hold a man’s equipment, without being obscene. I think it has the right balance of sex appeal, while still being something you could wear on a crowded beach (if that ever becomes a thing again). Some may want a little extra room, but I felt that everything fit nice and snug, which I personally like.

One of the downsides of this bikini comes to the sizing. While everything was able to fit in, I felt as if I was just barely fitting in….the pouch, the back, the sides. Admittedly, the quarantine has added on some pounds, so I won’t deduct too many points for that. I know that some prefer to go up a size in JOR, so my advice is to look closely at the size chart. If you’re towards the top of a size range, you may consider going up, if you don’t want an overly snug fit. Be careful not to go up too high though, as there’s no drawstring to help hold things in if it’s too big.

Finally, let’s talk about the print itself. The name may confuse you at first, or at least it did for me because I thought this was a camouflage print at first. Look closely though and you’ll see the sharks in the design. It’s a fun print overall, though I’m personally not a huge fan of the lettering and numbers on the back.

Overall, this is a great bikini with great design and construction. Spend a little time reviewing their size chart to ensure you get the right fit, and you’ll be set!

PAIR: JOR 1028 Shark Swim Bikini Printed

COLORS: Camouflage Shark Print, though other swim bikinis are available

FABRIC: 87% Polyester 13% Spandex

SIZES: Small – X-Large

COST: $46.00

Rating: 9.6/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros: The mesh is very soft and not scratchy like some I have worn before, the number of colors available for purchase, the stitching and construction is very top-notch

Cons: The pouch center seam isn’t seen down and can be a slight annoyance, the piping on the sides can roll and bunch cutting in slightly, and I hate the paper tag at the top of the back T.

I purchased this pair during the “Corona-pocalypse” of 2020. Shipping was pretty prompt and only took four business days to arrive. Rick Majors is an International Jock exclusive brand.

Initial Thoughts: This pair was a joy to see, I bought the pink color, and it was very bright and vibrant. The piping was very well stitched and pretty thick, the waistband specifically was larger than the leg bands and looks to stay put. The fabric is very soft and not scratchy like previous mesh pairs I have had. The construction overall seems very good. Most seams are covered and not noticeable from anyone, not the wearer. The waistband is connected and sewn together on the left side of the pair. The joining there is kind of clunky and would be better suited if they had moved it to the center behind their logo tag, which would offer extra strength because it is seen in also.

Tryon: This pair is as advertised, very sheer, and absolutely no imagination is needed with these. These are definitely a sexy evening kind of underwear. The fabric is still very soft, and after just walking around for a bit, still, no scratching noticed. The waistband isn’t tight, but make sure you order the correct size, these could cut into you if you go small or fall off if you go larger. The pouch, while not enhancing, it is there and keeps everything together out and in front. The leg bands on the sides do roll-up, a minor inconvenience. The back sits like a T, and the back strap rises higher on the lower back but is very comfortable.

Daily Routine: The great quarantine of 2020 continues to make daily life boring af. My normal job is a CT technologist, and that requires a lot of walking and pushing hospital stretchers around, but since my start date was moved due to COVID-19, I have been doing a bunch of nothing. So I helped the kids do their work and sat around and watched Tiger King. Everything was comfortable, and minus the rolling on the sides, it stayed in place.

Final Thought: Very sexy pair of underwear that would be good for a night out and/or bedroom sexy time. You could wear these for a day at the office or work, but I would recommend against wearing these for a workout or strenuous activity. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to spice things up and have a little adventure.

John Sievers Sleek Natural Pouch Thong Review Rating: 9.4/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros: Fabric is super soft, the definition of the pouch is great for all-day wear, the number of colors available for purchase

Cons: The tapering at the pouch and back strap can pinch if you don’t get adequately settled, could be worn with you pointing up, but there will be a lot of excess pouch material for just your testicles.

I bought this pair after seeing it online for a while and liking the look for some time. I was able to get a little extra income recently and decided to splurge and “Treat Myself.” I purchased the neon green pair and waited about five days for the package to arrive during the “Corona-pocalypse” of 2020.

Initial Thoughts: This pair is bigger than I figured it would be. What I mean is it was larger than some other things I have marked as a medium. The green color popped and was super bright, and you’d definitely be noticed if someone saw this, male tail or sexy time. The fabric was very slippery, being88% polyamide, 12% lycra will give the slippery silk effect, but the fact it was so soft was what caught me by surprise. I rubbed this fabric a few times cause they just felt so nice, inside, and the outside parts. The waistband is large, 1.5 inches, and the logo is centered on the front to make sure those you want to know can find this brand by the name. The waistband has a good stretch and is also really soft.

Tryon: The pair is a mid-rise on the stomach and sits high on the back, similar to a Cocksox triangle. Once everything was situated, the pair was comfortable. The pouch is a natural style where everything hangs down slightly and is pushed out. I say it hangs, but the pouch elevates but not in a fashion that would be considered enhancing. The waistband is soft for a band, and due to the larger look, it stretches but doesn’t cut in. As a man with a lot of dad bod, it didn’t create a huge muffin-like some of my other pairs. The fabric is super soft, as expected, and is really nice to the touch. The one thing I noticed was where the pouch connects to the back strap, the elastic tapers in rather quickly. I didn’t believe this would be an issue, but it was noteworthy, a rash on the taint isn’t fun to deal with.

Daily Routine: Considering how we are on lockdown currently due to COVID-19, I couldn’t go out and do my regular routine, so I spent the day cleaning, doing a home workout, and getting up and down a lot dealing with my children. I did a light run and walked my dog that day, and never really noticed any issues with the thong as all. The Tapered spot I mentioned didn’t run at all and stayed in place, although I did have some slight pinching to my sack once I readjusted after a bathroom break, I never noticed it again.

Final Thought: If you sometimes need a natural hang, these are perfect for you. With all my thongs, I would prefer a defined pouch, and this delivered on that front. The fabric is top-notch and really soft to the touch; you or a partner might not want to take the hands-off. Everything considered I would recommend as daily wear for anyone that likes thongs or someone who wants to try a thong. This is a great pair and well constructed. Be careful though; if you’re not into maletailing then wear a belt cause the back does come up rather high.

Next up UNB Readers is something I personally have sought for years – a form-fitting ruffle bikini. Now, you may be asking yourself, “That’s something strange to look for” to which I respond with “Not sure we can be friends” lol! Not really, but I do know like myself there are men out there who yearn for a good pair of ruffles to go to on those days you feel your sexy self or even the days you don’t. Fortunately for us all BodyAware answered the call and has made several entries into the ruffle market. Today’s review is dedicated specifically to the Camo Corkscrew brief, but be sure to look for other styles they offer for us ruffle lovers out there!

Please note All opinions of the review are my own and were not influenced by BodyAware.Rating: 9.6/10 (Average of the ratings below)

Daily Fit: 9/10
Sizing: 10/10
Construction: 10/10
Styling: 10/10
Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:
Holds everything firmly in place
Breathable and lightweight
Perfect for letting the jeans or shorts hand a little low to show off!

Cons:
As expected, not to be worn on cold winter nights
If you don’t like giving a show, you will be checking your waistband all day
Doesn’t come in a thong

If you are looking to try out your first pair of ruffled underwear or have been a lifelong searcher (such as this writer) do yourself a favor and pick these up. They are comfortable for not only day to day but I guarantee whoever sees you in them will go bananas – including yourself so stay away from mirrors!

I am taking a deep dive look into what could become a hot button topic – ruffles. I know men of all kind read the blog, and I am sincerely hoping I get all kinds to read this particular review as I need help spreading the message. Ruffles are not just delicious chips or for women only; men need to take up the mantle and start requesting and wearing more ruffles! Personally I love the extra flair it gives underwear and on the days where a thong won’t work ruffles help make me feel just as good on the inside as they do outside. Much to my pleasure then when BodyAware re-released this pair as part of their Outlet store as I had the opportunity to pick them up!

I put my pair on as soon as they arrived and have cycled them in my weekly drawer since. These are fantastic for everyday lounging and moderate moving – don’t expect a super tight hold in the gym although if your a runner these might just be perfect. These were great to lounge around the house in and grab the morning paper. I definitely enjoyed wearing them on my trips to the store and out with friends. I did some heavier lifting and working out as well in them and found myself adjusting way more than I prefer.

For the amount of times I have worn and washed them the Camo Corkscrew Brief is holding up extremely well. I would firmly stand behind my ratings of 10 for both fabric and construction if questioned. Previous pairs that had ruffles either don’t fit quite right while falling apart almost immediately. Plus, with the added bonus of a muted mesh, you can give your special someone(s) a little peek without revealing the full show. BodyAware nailed it here and I am thrilled that I will have this pair for years to come!

BodyAware is consistent with their sizing from my experience with the company so you should be safe ordering your go to size. I wear a medium and these are just about what I expect with no complaints. That said, a forewarning to new ruffle wears – yes, there is supposed to be a touch of sag in the fabric but not enough to let everything move about like the back of a moving truck.

What more can be said at this point gang? Ruffles are the new hotness and us men need to get on it! Although BodyAware only lists Smalls in stock at the time of writing, they do have other ruffled offerings worth checking out. So don’t sit around missing all the fun – grab a pair and strut it for the world!

Welcome UNB Readers to my first review! Before I get started I want to encourage you all to provide any feedback you may have about my review. I want to make sure I am capturing what you guys want to know more about so if I miss anything don’t hesitate to leave me a comment! Onto the good stuff now!

UNB Tim knows my weak spots and sent me the link to the N2N Raider Singlet awhile back. I am working on a seperate piece to dive into my love of bodysuits/one pieces, but just know the obsession is real. Anyways, once I saw it, I immediately ordered it due to the nature of N2N products going quick. And boy howdy I sure am glad I did! Keep reading to find out why…

Rating: 9.2/10 (Average of the ratings below)

Daily Fit: 9/10
Sizing: 10/10
Construction: 10/10
Styling: 10/10
Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros:
Truly comfortable and unless you are wearing nothing else, you will forget it is even on!
Super soft nylon feels AMAZING against your body all day long
Mesh material breathes great during workouts and will get you noticed

Cons:
Bathroom breaks can be tricky
N2N products sell out fast
Too tight in some areas

I would highly recommend this pair (available only on the secondhand market now) but more broadly I would recommend giving N2N bodysuits a try in general. You definitely get what you pay for and in the long run I am seeing the durability outlast many of the cheaper pairs I have bought.

Specifically for the Raider Singlet, this bad boy is hot as all get out and no matter your size or cut preference, if you want a brilliant all-in-one look no further! Going from warm undergear when I am shoveling the driveway to only outfit I need when I work out; it is as versatile as it is sexy!

Introduction Being my first review – and my first recommended pair from UNB Tim – I was both apprehensive but nonetheless thrilled to get my hands wet! I classify singlets in the bodysuit family, so the style was a no-brainer for me. In terms of N2N overall, I have a few of their swimsuits but overall I haven’t delved much into the brand. I have loved the singlets and bodysuits they put out I just couldn’t bring myself to spend that much – I mean how good could they be? My swimsuits from them are fantastic so it is nothing about quality or service at all. Quite the opposite in fact; it truly was me trying to justify the cost. Well, I am here to tell you to save your pennies because they aren’t charging enough.

For this review, and all others, I am a firm believer of putting each pair through its paces. From experience, it is one thing wearing it to bed but something else entirely to go about your day-to-day. I am a fairly active individual and would comfortably say that almost anyone could wear this on a daily basis. From grocery shopping to helping a friend move, it was a universal pair that I often found myself going for but it was already in the wash. What was a bonus is that if you get hot during whatever activity – you can easily wear this with shorts/pants and be totally comfortable.

N2N is no slouch when it comes to the quality of their products and the Raider Singlet continues that notion for me. I have had this now for about a couple of months and after repeated washings and wearings it still looks and feels brand new. The only true critique I have is that the elastic around the legs is firm so allow yourself extra time for the bathroom. That said, it tends to be a common issue depending on the type of singlet so I can’t fault them too much.

Being 6’2” has its goods and bads, and I want to let everyone know that with height comes the battle of size. I am a thinner guy and normally wear mediums in my underwear, but with bodysuits/singlets I have to go up a size otherwise bye-bye shoulders! I find mostly that the height stretches suits out enough to work but every now and then I notice extra fabric in places it shouldn’t be. This was the goldilocks however – no matter what position I bent myself into or stretch I did, this sucker held on in all the right places!

Needless to say, I fear anytime UNB Tim now recommends something as I know without a doubt it will be something I absolutely, positively, 100% must have and cannot live without! Just kidding, I love getting those messages, although maybe not my bank account… If you are able to find the Raider singlet do not hesitate to scoop it up for its flexibility and feel. It truly is a part of my go-to drawer now and have I said how good it makes you look wearing it yet?

In this review, we will take a deep dive look at one of BodyAware’s recent releases – the Iridescent Brief. Upon receiving one of their email alerts regarding a new product, I saw and fell in love with these briefs the moment I scrolled up and laid eyes on them. I knew I had to try them even though normally I shy away from the type of material these looked to be made of. The reason being is that in my years of loving underwear these types of underwear tend to look really good, but outside the bedroom forget it. I have had pairs you can hear while walking in the office as well as pairs that just felt like it was a cast. That said, when I saw the ruched back I was sold. Anything that draws attention to the rear is meant for me so I decided to take the plunge and bought both silver and purple, just in case I did love them and my size sold out – I have learned you can never be too careful lol!

Rating: 8.2/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 8/10
  • Construction: 8/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 8/10

Pros:

  • The ruched back gives your assets a life even if you sit for a living
  • The metallic sheen is sure to get you noticed
  • Great for lounging and tanning

Cons:

  • Front pouch has extra fabric that sags
  • Tends to sit low and slide down if you are being too active
  • Small frays have already started showing

RECOMMENDATION
If you are looking for something to show off in or draw attention then look no further. If you want to get aboard the ruched trend express then jump on. If you want a pair that answers those needs and can be your go-to for the chores, look elsewhere.

As you may already be aware, the obsession I have with BodyAware is very real, almost palpable. As of lately I personally think they have been on fire with their new releases. As I discussed above, it was a surprising purchase for me then when I saw these released primarily due to the material it looked to be constructed of. Remember the review I wrote about the Camo Corkscrew Brief and how ruffles are the new hotness? Well readers, I am ecstatic to let you in on another trend that is about to take men’s underwear by storm – the ruche. (If you haven’t read that review yet stop here and go read it. Promise we will all wait for you to finish. Ok, done now?)

So for me seeing how perfectly this pair executed the ruched back I immediately thought it was worth the risk of getting cuts from hard fabric; if my ass looked even a fourth as good as the model’s it would be totally worth it. Once they arrived I was excited to get going and immediately swapped out what I was wearing for them.

Overall I will guarantee these are unlike any other metallic or shiny pair of underwear you have. The inside lining is nylon and your boys will love you all day long. The first couple of times I wore these it was just around the house or to go grab coffee in so I had no problems or complaints. It was when I wore them while rearranging furniture in my house that I noticed myself pulling them up frequently.

Initial impressions were good out of the box and wearing them for the first time. I was giddy as a schoolgirl when I felt the inside too – reminds me of wearing a nylon or spandex type brief and it gave me no PTSD from previous pairs being too taught and scratchy. However, I have noticed after just a few washes my pair has already started to fray in places which is frustrating considering how much wearing I wanted to get out of them.

I ordered a medium and these seem to run on the smaller side of that spectrum. That said, I would still tell you to order your normal size as the pouch is where I think the most room for improvement exists. It works well if you walk around all day stiff or are very gifted, but for us normal folk you will have some extra material to contend with.

So gang what does this all mean for you? I would say if you are into any aspect of these briefs, be it color or the ruched, you will not be disappointed. I personally am using them now as more of a posing brief and tanning suit thAn anything, especially with the fraying that has started. While not in my daily drawer, I still love this pair of briefs and how good they make me look and feel inside. So much so that I bought the other color it is offered in!

Matador Meggings provided the Navy/Blue Meggings for review. The opinions are that of the reviewer.

Ratings

  • Daily Fit – 10
  • Sizing – 9
  • Construction/Materials – 10
  • Styling – 10
  • Daily Performance – 10
  • Overall – 9.8

Pros:

  • Unique and thoughtful details
  • Variety of designs
  • Comfortable and functional

Cons:

  • Some issues with the tights sliding down
  • Higher price point

Call them tights, call them leggings, call them whatever you want. They are a growing trend in the world of athleisure wear, and I am here for it! I was excited when the opportunity presented itself for me to try Matador Meggings.

When I first slipped the tights on, I immediately noticed that they really molded to my body in a good way. They aren’t as tight as some compression pants I’ve tried, but hugged my body more than traditional tight. I found it to be just the right balance and great support for a workout.

The second thing I noticed was all the small details, which really help Matador Meggings stand out from their competitors. As someone who loves to wear tights to the gym, it can be annoying to figure out what to do with the things that I typically have in my pockets when I wear shorts. Where do I put my phone, wallet, keys? Matador has thought of all of these things and provided not one, but two pockets! One pocket has a zipper to keep valuables such as your wallet or keys secure. The second pocket was perfect for holding my phone. There is also a loop in the back where you can run a towel through so you’ve got it handy to wipe down your gym equipment. These details make the tights ideal to wear to the gym or to run your errands, or both!

So how did these hold up to a workout? Pretty good! The only issue I had is that I did find they slipped down through my workout. This is not uncommon for me as my butt is on the big side, but there were moments where I definitely knew my thong underneath was on display. I decided to try working out without anything underneath and found that the slipping didn’t happen as much. I’ve also been informed that a new design will be launched soon which includes a drawstring, which will eliminate that issue.

You might be thinking, wearing nothing underneath your tights? Can you do that? What about VPL? No worries! Matador Meggings thought of this and has provided a soft cup in the crotch to prevent visible penis line. I really appreciate this feature because even though I don’t mind showing off online, sometimes VPL is a bit much for Midwestern suburban gyms. For guys who wear shorts over their tights, it’s time to ditch the shorts and wear tights with pride, without worrying about showing it all off. If you are a guy who likes to be more on display, you can easily remove the crotch cup and let it all hang.

Overall, there’s little that I don’t like about these tights, and the issues I did have are going to be rectified soon with a new design. I do hope that future product releases include full-length tights (the current design is 3/4 length) and shorts. I know the higher price point will be of concern to some guys, but I feel these tights offer a lot for the money. The attention to design details and their sustainability efforts help Matador Meggings stand out from many other brands. I’ve already got my eyes on some of the other designs!

Jockstrap Junkie recommendation: I’ll bet you’re surprised to see the Jockstrap Junkie write a review for a boxer brief; however, being an avid underwear collector, I do have styles other than jockstraps in my collection. Under Armour (UA) is my go-to when it comes to boxer briefs. Although I don’t wear them for working out as I get too hot in them and I get better airflow from a jock (which is why I marked them low, many of you guys will love them for working out), I do wear them quite a bit for daily wear. If you’re a guy with more of an athletic build, the UA BoxerJock scores the best in my book.

UA has been in my underwear drawers for years. I have quite a few pairs of the ‘Original Series’ of the BoxerJock and UA introduced the ‘Tech’ series to the BoxerJock lineup about a year ago. I purchased three of the BoxerJocks online from UA as the sporting goods and department stores don’t stock a variety of UA and I do like a lot of prints. The Tech BoxerJocks have a six-inch leg, logoed waistband; fly front, no seams running along the glutes creating a smooth look, and the synthetic blend. The seamless butt feature is the noticeable difference between the ‘Original’ and ‘Tech’ series. UA does have a lot of different colors and prints to choose from online which makes them quite a bit of fun or classy depending on the mood. Red, White, and Blue patriotic theme was the mood I was in when I ordered these boxer briefs.

As stated in previous reviews, I’m an avid jockstrap wearer; however, there are instances where boxer briefs are more appropriate and/or fit the need better than a jock. If I’m going to be doing a lot of desk work and wearing jeans or slacks, there’s a good chance I’m wearing boxer briefs; otherwise, it’s boxers (gasp!) or jocks. Two of the best qualities of the UA BoxerJock is the fly and the non rolling legs which make them great for wearing under jeans and for sitting all day. Since I usually wear them while sitting a lot at work, the pouch is awesome as the pouch keeps you from squashing the nads.

I prefer the synthetic blend over the cotton blends as the poly/Spandex fabric has a more stretch; which is perfect for those of us who have larger thighs. One of my pet peeves regarding other brands of boxer briefs is that the legs either strangle the thighs or don’t stay in place on the thighs. UA has done well in this construction. The fly and pouch are also awesome features. For those of you who like to have a little lift for the boys; BoxerJocks are going to make you proud. I’m a guy who uses the fly of my boxers and boxer briefs, and UA has hit a home run with an easy access fly that stays closed when it’s supposed to so Willie doesn’t go wandering about. Waistband rolling is almost non existent which is another plus as I do have some love handles that other brands couldn’t handle.

Large is my normal sizing and UA matched this as UA is very consistent in their sizing. Another feature when looking at UA’s size chart is the aspect they also show the waist and hip sizing. This is a plus for guys who struggle with not being able to find underwear that fits well; kudos to UA for including these measurements. UA also has a wide range of sizing from Small to 3XL which is great for both the big guys as well as the more trim dudes.

For all the boxer brief wearers, UA BoxerJock Tech boxer briefs are a definite win in my books. Although boxer briefs wouldn’t be my first pick for a night on the town, I wouldn’t be ashamed to show them off either. And, for those of you who aren’t into the other styles of underwear as I am, I believe you’ll be impressed with these for working out, daily wear, and even on a date. Definitely add to your gym bag and your undie drawer.

Pros: Pouch breathes exceptionally well, leg straps don’t cut into glutes, excellent pouch support

Cons: Manufacturing tag needs to be a tear-off, not a plastic sheet needing to be cut off.

Jockstrap Junkie recommendation: Jack Adams created a nice all-around jockstrap that is both function and fashion. Very few jockstraps I’ve tried over the years hit all of the requirements I have for a jock, and the Nano Jockstrap knocked it out of the park.

This is my second round trying Jack Adams jockstraps. Several years ago, I tried one of their jocks and found out that I didn’t have enough ass to fill it up. Fast forward to today, I’ve done enough squats to justify owning multiple Jack Adams jockstraps. The Nano Jockstrap is a great all-around jockstrap, especially during the hot & humid summer months. The micro-mesh pouch provides excellent support while allowing the bat & balls to breathe. Another great feature of the micro-mesh is that you don’t feel like the boys are getting pushed through a strainer as with other mesh pouch jockstraps.

I wore the Nano Jockstrap while doing everything over the summer, and this jock has been in my normal rotation of jocks, and it gets worn about once a week. Whether you’re working out, mowing the lawn, hanging out & being lazy, or out on the town, Jack Adams hit a home run because you’ll be comfortable in all aspects. The breathability is the biggest asset of this jockstrap.

Micro-mesh is fantastic, being constructed from 67% Lyocell/33% Cotton, you get great support and no swamp nuts. The pouch is single-layered with a center seam as well as an accent stripe in one of the pouch corners along with contrasting piping pouch edge for a nice look. A 1-7/8″ waistband and 1-1/8″ leg straps construct this classic silhouette with the leg straps attaching under the waistband, creating a nice eye-line around the waist. On the waistband, the ‘jack adams’ name is prominently displayed on the front of the jockstrap.

Jack Adams offers the Nano Jockstrap in sizes ranging from Small to X-Large. I purchased a large and the fit is perfect. For those of us with larger glutes, the Nano Jockstrap is awesome because the leg straps don’t dig into your butt cheeks. When wearing all day outside, active, and sweating, the pouch maintains its shape and support. A word of caution for those who don’t have much junk in the trunk, this jockstrap may not be a good fit as the leg straps may sag on you.

The Jack Adams Nano Jockstrap is a nice addition to the underwear drawer. Whether you wear it in the bedroom, the boardroom, or the gym, you won’t be disappointed.

Pros: Great novelty & fun branding, classic cut, comfortable

Cons: Only has two sizes, sizing runs small, the pouch doesn’t breathe well

Jockstrap Junkie recommendation: If you like meat, add some “prime beef” to your underwear drawer. All puns intended.

As a junkie of underwear, especially jockstraps, and also have a bit of humor in my personality, I purchased the Meat Classic Jockstraps purely for the novelty value. The waistband has “Meat” on the front and “Prime Beef” on the back of the waistband. The writing makes for a fun conversation jockstrap. I did take a gamble with sizing on this jockstrap, which I will discuss a bit later in this review; otherwise, this jock didn’t disappoint on the novelty factors.

Per my usual routine, I give a jockstrap an all-around wearing. I’m not a fan for wearing the Meat Classic Jockstrap for working out. My beef is that the pouch doesn’t breathe well due to the double lining. One of my main reasons for wearing a jock is for breathability. However, the pouch is very comfortable, has ample support, keeps form, and I would wear for a night out, lounging around, or every day.

For a novelty brand, I was expecting the quality to be “choice” however, Meat Underwear came thru, and “prime” is what I got. This was a pleasant surprise. The nylon/Spandex blend makes for a nice smooth finish on the pouch, the waistband is a soft material, and the leg straps don’t cut into the rump or hammies. I would describe the silhouette of this jock as a classic cut where the leg straps connect to the waistband at the hip, and the pouch covers the sausage & meatballs. Pouch support is pretty standard, no extra lift features, and the double finish seam creates a nice finish both inside and outside of the pouch.

Here’s where I gambled and lost on the first try. With the sizing of S/M is 28″ – 34″, I thought I’d try the S/M as I have a 34″ waist. I was wrong as the sizing is close to the lower end of the range; therefore, my second order was the L/XL, and they do fit like I would expect a large waist jockstrap to fit. Guys on the XL spectrum, you will probably have problems with these jockstraps running too small.

If you like a bit of fun in your underwear drawer, get you some Meat! Whether your lean or a bit more marbled, these will definitely be a fun conversation piece. Life is meant to be fun, so go for it!

Cocksox furnished the CX02PR Zebra Swim Brief for review. All opinions are that of the reviewer.

Rating: 8.6/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 7/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:

  • Playful prints
  • Dual use as underwear

Cons:

  • Unlined
  • Price

While I have tried a lot of Cocksox underwear, this was my first opportunity to try their swimwear. I would consider the CX02PR swim brief a combo swimwear/underwear.

This swim brief has no drawstring and is unlined. Other than the Polyester/Lycra fabric blend, this is as close to Cocksox underwear as swimwear gets. This of course is not a complaint from me, but something you should be aware of as you consider your purchase.

I’d say this one is for the really bold man who is looking to show off a bit at a pool party or on a beach. The pouch is the Original Cocksox pouch which is designed to lift your package up and out to enhance the look. Combined with an unlined pouch, and a see-through when wet white fabric, this isn’t for the timid. While I personally am a fan, I did deduct some points for these items simply because I know that this one wouldn’t be appealing to a lot of guys.

Thankfully, Cocksox has provided a few color options for this swim brief, and some of those would work better when wet, if you’re not looking to show off EVERYTHING. The fabric is comfortable and the quality is top-notch, as one would expect from Cocksox.

If you’re feeling bold, check this Zebra print swim brief. For those who are not as bold, you may want to check out one of the other color options and/or other styles. The quality is worth it, you will just need to read descriptions to find the right style for your comfort level.

  • Daily Fit: 8/10

Pros:

  • Roomy pouch
  • Bright, bold colors

Cons:

  • Price

If you follow me on social media, you will see that I am not a big fan of trunks. My biggest issue is how tight they feel around my thighs. But, always being one to give things a fair shot, I put on the Cocksox CX68N trunk with an open mind.

The first thing I noticed was of course the constriction around my thighs. That admittedly went away after a few minutes and I could then turn my attention to the amazingly soft fabric. Feeling the soft and smooth fabric against my skin was a nice treat.

This trunk features the Cocksox Contour pouch which is less enhancing than their original pouch. I actually really enjoyed how the contour pouch looked and felt. Having recently reviewed another Cocksox product with the original pouch, I noted that lesser-endowed guys may have some extra fabric left in front…not an issue with the contour pouch.

I really love the bold color of this trunk. While the official color is Octane Orange, the pouch itself is a light blue/turquoise color, which is also used on the trim around one of the legs, yellow is used as an accent on the other leg. Add in the multi-color, comfortable, waistband and you have a fun, playful trunk. The other color options are also a combination of other colors, so it’s a step up from a standard solid, one-color trunk.

If you are a trunk over, this is one you should add to your collection. The roomy pouch and the soft fabric are worth the additional cost compared to other trunks.

Pros:

  • Fun print
  • Great balance of comfort and style
  • Great pouch

Cons:

  • Price
  • Pouch could leave some extra fabric hanging for smaller endowed guys

I have been a fan of Cocksox for many years so I was excited to try some of their new stuff. The wild collection lives up to its name with this fun giraffe print (also available in zebra). I used to feel that animal prints were suited for tacky underwear, but I have had a change of heart and mind during the past year. Animal print, on the right style of underwear, can be amazing. I think Cocksox does a good job with this animal print on one of their classic styled briefs.

Cocksox has been a favorite of mine for years thanks to the roomy pouch. This pair features their Original Pouch which is designed for comfort and to enhance your bulge, putting it a bit on display. Because of this styling, some smaller-endowed guys may have a little extra fabric hanging, which may not be appealing.

I love the thinner sides that connect the roomy pouch to the full-coverage back. The elastic around the back keeps this bikini from riding up, making it perfect for wearing almost anywhere

Price is one potential downside. The $20-$25 range tends to be my sweet spot and these are just slightly above that range. That said, Cocksox has always been a quality brand whose product stands up to the test of time. They will be an investment, but will be money well spent.

Overall, I’m VERY please with this brief and I’m glad it has been added to my collection.

  • Construction is awesome and will last for a few years

Cons:

  • Not every guy will like a boxer brief
  • It could be too “loud” for guys who love classic colors

UNB Tim recommendation: If you are a brief guy and need to branch out this is the perfect pair to try. It’s colorful, fun and has an amazing pouch. I enjoyed wearing it and will definitely wear it again

I am not a big fan of boxer briefs because they usually don’t have good support. That is not the case with this boxer brief, Cocksox puts a pouch in everything they make, which is a good thing. Plus with the stripes, I was looking forward to this pair.

It has been a while since I wore a boxer brief from Cocksox and was looking forward to seeing how it did. I knew being a style I don’t wear regularly; I wasn’t going to wear it out all day. I wore it for errands when I knew I would be back. However, the pair was excellent and gave me the support I come to expect from Cocksox.

The construction of Cocksox is one of the best. All their underwear is very well made. They use some of the best fabric on the market, that feels amazing against your skin. Plus they make undies that will last for several years in your underwear drawer.

Sizing for me in Cocksox has never been an issue. The brand has had consistent sizing that I have never had a problem. Check the sizing chart to be sure and always go a size bigger if you are on the upper end of the size scale.

I didn’t love this as much as I loved the brief I reviewed. That is because I LOVE briefs. But this is a pair that for a brief fan that needs to broaden their horizons. The pouch will fit amazing, and the color of the fabric will make a statement.

Pros:

Cons:

  • Limited stretch pouch

4Hunks has pretty much is out of the park with their Thunder Jock. While it has all of the basic jock elements, it takes it to another level with so many of the design elements and fabric.

Let’s start with the fabric because it is the first thing you notice when you touch this jock and put it on. The cotton is smooth and silky feeling, it’s a delight to feel against your package. Unlike the traditional jockstrap, there is no wide waistband here, it is minimal and comfortable.

Now let’s look at the styling details. A layer of mesh runs throughout this jock with a pop of colorful cotton fabric underneath. I received the yellow, but red is also an option. I appreciate that 4Hunks knows its audience and embraces some fetish abbreviations for their color options…WS for yellow and FF for red. The ass straps have the primary jock color (yellow or red) with a solid black trim.

So what don’t I like about this jock? Honestly, the only negative was the room (or lack of) in the pouch. I would have liked to see more stretch in the pouch, something that would show the bulge off a just a bit more. This is a fairly common occurrence for me with jocks so if you don’t typically have that issue; this is a great jock you should try.

  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros:

  • Print is amazing
  • One of the best Pouches
  • Classic style with a twist

Cons:

  • Only con is I don’t have it in every style

UNB Tim recommendation: If you like fun and bold prints, this pair is for you. It’s not a typical print seen in underwear. That is what makes it fun. The pouch is spot-on amazing, still one of the best on the market. If you are a Cocksox fan or just an undies fan, this is a must-have pair.

I am probably one of the biggest fans of Cocksox there is! When I was in Vegas in Feb, I got to see all the new stuff, and I was amazed. The Paradise Palms print is one I MUST own! The super fun beach print is fantastic. It’s not something you see in undies regularly. Let’s not forget to mention the pouch!

This pair was worn around for errands and office work. But it could be used to work out or be active wearing. The Cocksox pouch is perfect for working out due to the support it offers. No matter what you do in this pair, you will love the fit and feel of these.

The construction of Cocksox is one of the best. I have had several pairs that have lasted 5 or more years. The fabric and construction of these are what you would expect for Cocksox. There is nothing worse than investing in a pair and only have it last a few times. Well, don’t worry that won’t happen with Cocksox.

Sizing for me in Cocksox has never been an issue. The brand has had consistent sizing that I have never had a problem. Check the sizing chart to be sure and always go a size bigger if you are on the upper end of the size scale.

I loved this pair! I want more of these and especially the CX01 Bikini! OMG, I love love the new prints that Cocksox has come up with for this year’s collection. Make sure you check them out. They have stripes and original animal prints as well. We will have those reviews soon.

Pros:

  • Soft and comfortable fabric
  • Contoured pouch

Cons:

  • Expensive ($33)
  • Basic design appeal

For those who are familiar with me from social media or my website (scruffygear.com) this review may come as a surprise. For the first time, I am reviewing a trunk. Yes me, in a trunk

I usually have two issues with trunks and boxer briefs. The first is that I find that most ride up my thighs during daily wear. The second is that the designs tend to be a bit too conservative for my taste.

With the design of this trunk, there is not a lot of fabric covering my thighs to ride up. However the fabric that was there, did ride up as usual. If you do not typically have that issue with trunks, you should be good to go with these. As far as the design, these trunks are basic, solid colored trunks. I do appreciate Cut For Men’s expanded color options to help brighten things up a bit

Once I look past my usual issue with trunks, I actually found myself pleasantly surprised wearing these. The fabric is an amazingly soft, lightweight cotton. I lounged around the house in these on a very hot and humid day and remained cool and comfortable all day. I appreciate the contoured pouch from both a comfort and design perspective. They add just a hint of sex appeal to an otherwise basic trunk. I also found the waistband to be extremely comfortable, in fact it was hardly noticeable at all which is perfect.

The pouch includes a slot for a front pad which you can purchase at an additional cost. I gave the pad a try and found that it did add a bit of size to the bulge appearance, but that also comes at a bit of a cost of space for your own equipment. If you are above average endowment at all, skip the pad for sure. If you are going out for a night on the town and want to show off a bit, add in the pad for some extra fun.

Overall, I found myself really enjoying wearing this trunk…and this is coming from a guy who never wears trunks! I don’t imagine myself wearing this on a daily basis, but I can totally see myself lounging around in these during a lazy day at home. If you are trunk guy, I highly recommend these. The price point is a bit high, but the comfort is highly worth it.

Pros: This brief is interesting. I like the front pocket reveal and the mesh in the back is super sexy.

Cons: I think the fact that they were too small for me influences my feelings about them. The material is comfortable but doesn’t feel very durable. I wouldn’t wear this daily.

Andrew recommendation: These undies are cute and sexy. I’d wear them in the right size.

Pros:
Nice fabric and soft waistband

Cons:
Sizing runs way too small
Expensive ($30+ shipping)

A new brand for me to try this time around – C4M, which stands for Cut for Men. They’re very unique, opening in 2018 by a designer from Mexico who currently lives in France. They offer the standard cuts – brief, trunk and boxer brief but they also make a longer leg style called biker. T-shirts and tanks are also available.

I was pleased with the soft waistband and fabric (95% cotton, 5% Elastane) as well as the sexy cut. These look like a sporty brief but are cut small enough to not be basic. There is also a pouch where you can insert a pad to increase your bulge. (sold separately for $9) However, as soon as I pulled them on, I knew they wouldn’t last me the whole day.

Sizing runs VERY small, and I would absolutely recommend going a size up. The cut is, but they were so tight that my package was pretty much squished flat. I did try to insert the pad to see how it looked, but that makes them even tighter! It does increase the size of your bulge but not very much, so if you were looking for a bit more than you naturally pack, it might be useful. If you love to really show off, this pad wouldn’t fit the bill.

I would like to try another pair of these briefs in a larger size because there is plenty to love. Nice fabric and cut along with a great assortment of colors, which many brands don’t bother with. I appreciate options other than black, white, and gray! I would say give these a try because they have the potential to be a great, everyday pair. My ratings are based on getting the correct size.

Pros:

  • Fun, playful prints
  • Wide range of sizes

Cons:

  • Fabric is not very breathable
  • Back rides up a bit

The first thing that caught my eye about these briefs were of course the bold, playful prints. The pop art prints are sure to liven up your undies drawer. The pattern with the lips was especially playful as they literally are kissing your butt. The sizing worked well for me and the pouch was designed to hold everything comfortably.

The polyester/elastane fabric is not my favorite. Especially now in the heat of summer, the fabric does not breathe well and my package quickly works up a sweat. That said, these might work well in fall and winter, but are briefs I would not wear much during the summer. The back of these briefs has a seam running down the middle, which is a bit noticeable when wearing. I also found that the back rode up a bit on my booty.

Fabric is certainly all a personal preference so if you’re a polyester fan, have at these. I will say that the fabric feels nice and smooth on the outside, but not as smooth inside. I always appreciate brands who have a wide range of sizes for a variety of body types, and Debriefed certainly delivers in this area. The prints are fantastic and fun and I always love to see guys add some fun to their underwear drawer.

Pros:
Nice fabric with stretch
Reliable, everyday pair of trunks, but with a modern, updated style
Bum Chums offers lots of colors and fabrics, so there’s something for everyone

Cons:
Sizing can be a little tricky
The pouch could be a little bigger
Price can get high with currency conversion and shipping

Another pair of Bum Chums for me to try – this time a hipster. I usually stay away from hipsters/trunks/boxer briefs because they always ride up my legs and don’t support the way I like, but I love my BC briefs, so I went in with an open mind.

These were my pair for a short work day and some errands, and I have to say that I liked them from the minute I pulled them on. The fit was right, they had a decent pouch and nice fabric. They also stayed in place really well compared to other trunks I’ve tried, which was a big plus.

Sizing is pretty standard, but they mention that there is a right amount of stretch, so you don’t need to size up. (Fabric is 92% cotton and 8% Elastane) The size chart says a medium fits 32-34, which I would generally say was too big for me as a 31-32, but this pair was just right. If I wanted the fit to be tight, a small would work, but it was nice to have room up front. My biggest complaint with lots of underwear is the lack of room for your package, and since these don’t have an enormous pouch, the medium made up for that.

Overall, another great experience with Bum Chums. I might even be more open to trunks/hipsters after trying theirs. I do have one small complaint, and it’s probably due to my lack of humor, but I don’t love a silly brand name – especially when it’s emblazoned repetitively around my waist. It makes me just a bit self-conscious if my pants ride low or if the band shows when I bend down, etc. Bright colors and patterns are fun, but writing (especially a silly name) just isn’t my thing.

Pros:
A good, updated version of a classic brief
Nice fabric with stretch

Cons:
Limited colors
The pouch could be a little bigger
Not inexpensive and shipped from the UK, so the price can add up

Mr. Smith’s is a brand out of the UK with only two styles (briefs & trunks) and three colors (black, white & gray/silver). This is my second pair of Mr. Smith’s, and I anticipated enjoying them after my initial positive experience with a pair of trunks. I like a good, classic pair of briefs that work as everyday wear and these fit the bill. The cut is between basic briefs and bikini briefs, which I feel would make it appealing for any brief wearer. There is a standard sized waistband with Mr. Smith’s logo repeating all the way around.

I wore these running errands and hanging around the house, but I think they could be worn at the gym, as well. The website doesn’t give exact fabric details, and there wasn’t a tag in the back, but it does mention that the cotton fabric has a touch of Lycra which helps them keep their shape throughout the day. They stayed in place with minimal adjustments necessary.

With a 31-32 waist, I usually wear a medium, and these fit as expected. There is a pouch that’s a bit bigger than average but not as exaggerated or large as some brands these days. I think ordering your actual size would be just fine for most guys.

I enjoyed my second pair of Mr. Smith’s and would recommend giving them a try. For guys who aren’t adventurous with underwear but would like to elevate their gear, these would be perfect. Nothing too risqué or flashy, pleasant and comfortable, and you could be seen changing in the locker room and blend in.

Pros:

  • Great material
  • Sexy but practical fit
  • Fun print if you like playful undies

Cons:

  • Back can ride up a bit
  • Would prefer a simpler waistband and other prints (IMO – this wouldn’t be a con for everyone)

Debriefed has a website that sells several brands but also have their own line.  This pair is part of their Cartoon Collection, inspired by 70s and 80s cartoons.  The collection comes in briefs, jocks, hipsters and even a singlet.  There are a few different cartoon/comic prints you can choose from, as well.

These were my pair for a travel day because I immediately loved the feel of the fabric and the cut was great, as well.  I’ve never been a cartoon or comic book fan so I might prefer these in a solid or stripe, but the print is fun and sure to stand out in your underwear drawer.  The elastic around the legs gives nice contrast and the waistband is your standard size and comfortable.  I do wish brands wouldn’t always have their names written on the waist repetitively because I do prefer a simpler look.  The pouch is accommodating, the back provides full coverage but is slim enough to keep them sexy.  There is a center seam in the back which I think helps with definition but it can ride up a bit, which I actually think is kind of sexy, but might annoy some people.

The fabric is 81% Polyester and 19% Elastane which means they are very stretchy and super smooth.  Cotton has it’s place but I really love a silky smooth fabric when it comes to underwear.

Sizing seemed right on with a medium fitting just right for me (31-32).  These have plenty of stretch but if you’re on the upper end of the size range, Debriefed suggests going up a size.

These were a nice surprise and I will be checking out more briefs from Debriefed, especially in this material.  They were really smooth and show off your body in a flattering way, which is great and not always the case for a solid, everyday pair.  Give these a shot and feel like a superhero!

Pros: The stretch fit hugs and feels excellent to me. I also really like how AC created a sexy cut to this singlet, with deep low reveals – offering a very hot look. The fit will be flattering to many shapes, which is something I find important to note.

Cons: While this is an excellent product in general, this pattern might not be my favorite. The $ theme is fun, but not my personal taste.

I am a long time AC supporter, as I find they have a wide range of products geared toward guys looking for a good fit and a large variety of styles. They take risks and offer new cuts and styles of men’s underwear and other clothes that are unique and sexy and comfortable. I love many of my thongs and jocks, and they are the first brand I found with a jock/thong – something I found very sexy and a unique combination. Singlets, in general, are somewhat new to me, but I was very excited to give this one a try, as it was my first singlet from AC and was happy to find they lived up to their standards. Personally, being a thicker guy, I fear a singlet (traditionally) to be unflattering and call attention to all of the areas I was self-conscious about. But happy to see this was not the case.

I have yet to wear these out and about, as I think they call for a special occasion or play date but will bring them with me to PTown this summer and think they might make an appearance there. In the meantime – I spend the afternoon in them around the house. As a big undies fan, I was not sure how they would feel, but I truly enjoyed them! Feeling the shoulder straps stretch and tug gently as I moved about was a fun aspect, and the fabric was soft and comfortable. Having them snug on my rear end was great for good booty look, which always makes me happy. So while not daily wear, fun addition to a gear night or other fun adventure. The rainbow colors also make them a good fit for pride events.

True to AC fashion, this is a well-crafted garment. It withstood very well during my wearing and moving about. Snug fit on me could easily put some strain on the seams, but no signs of weakness for sure. And it washed well without any pilling or struggles. I’d also like to mention the very comfortable fitted pouch. I believe this is the Almost Naked style AC is known for, and always fits right and shows off a significant bulge.

For me, I had on an XL, which many of my followers are shocked to see me in. But I find AC sizing to be forgiving to larger guys and able to accommodate us with comfort. I can’t speak to smaller sizes or fits but I know this one worked for me. Also, being 6’ tall, and new to singlets, I was worried about the shoulders being too snug – but that worked great too and fit very well. The biggest area of concern for me was the belly region, but with this cut, it falls right above the pubic area and left my belly free from impact on sizing. Same with the skimpy back, allowing for the sizing to fit very similar to a pair of AC trunks, rather than a traditional singlet. I was also worried about my thick thighs, and while a bit snug, they fit well – similar to any pair of AC trunks.

As a bigger thick guy, I have had a bit of fear around singlets in general. While they are incredibly sexy on other guys, and I enjoy the sporty aspect, they have scared me on the fit. I was most pleasantly surprised how well they fit overall and good they made me look. The cute thick edge trim and side details added a sporty vibe that really was an excellent addition. Best of all is the flattering cut and the attractive package and booty they gave me. I’d be very comfortable wearing this for one special partner or showing off at the right themed evening. Therefore, I’m happy to give this a 9/10 for my first review. Very recommended!
