Pros: Amazing Fabric, good boxer brief pouch design, and great for an active guy.

Cons: Looser fit, only in 5 colors .

UNB Tim recommendation: I would definitely recommend these. If you are a boxer brief fan and are an active guy. These are for you. The fabric and pouch will give you breathability and support. Even if you aren’t a boxer brief guy. I say try something new. I see a big future for Krakatoa and think we are going to see amazing things from them .

Krakatoa Underwear is one of the new kids on the block. I originally found them on Instagram. We reached out and started a relationship with them. They are two passionate guys about making the best underwear they can! They have a cool pouch design. The two pouch guys, Salvatore and myself, decided to give them a go.

Let me preface this by saying if you’re a long time reader you know this. I am not a fan of boxer briefs. It’s the fit I don’t like.Salvatore and I  split up the collection. Which is a brief, trunk and boxer brief. We both will be reviewing the boxer brief. I drew the short straw and got the boxer brief. Little did I know what would happen.

The first thing you notice when you take Krakatoa Underwear out of the package is the fabric. The fabric is a 92 percent Micro-Modal + 8 percent Spandex. Modal is my favorite fabric for underwear. The first reason is it’s super soft. Next, it breathes throughout the day. Third, it’s just so darn comfy.

I put these on and headed out for a day in the Georgia heat and humidity. This was going to give them a workout. Working my part time job is a lot of driving and moving. The one thing I noticed was the legs weren’t super tight. Which is my preference. This is because I hate when the legs ride up during the day. Usually, pairs that are looser in the fit will do this. However, these never rode up or bunched. I was super impressed.

The pouch is a new design, for a boxer brief is pretty good. I had no issues of things getting out place during the day. Again, I was surprised. Having a looser cut to me usually, spells disaster for a full days wear. It’s a good design for a boxer brief pouch. We need more brands to do that!

How was the sizing? I hear some of you asking. Well, this is one of the few times I may suggest getting a size smaller. The boxer briefs were loose in the leg and I had more than enough room in the waist. I like my undies a bit tighter. If you are a fan of looser cut undies get your size in inches. If, however, you want this tighter, go a size smaller. It’s not often I tell you guys to go smaller!

Find these at the Krakatoa Underwear site. Which happens to have free shipping in the US!

s-l1600King Style Underwear provided me with these undies for review. This is my first pair of King Style Underwear that I have had the opportunity to review.  If you are looking for something a little different these are for you

Rating: 7.8/10

Pros: The waistband is awesome and I love the style of the fabric.

Cons: Inner separation brief is great for lift, but not sure I could wear it all day.

UNB John’s recommendation: I would recommend these if you are looking for a sexy pair of trunks to wear out. That also, provide a nice profile on a hot summer night.

This is the first pair of King Style that I have had the opportunity to review. I actually got another pair in this same package to review so be looking for that review as well.  The first thing that I noticed when I took these out of the package was the fun waistband. I love wearing your non-traditional brands. That when people see the logo waistband they are intrigued. The other thing I noticed was the fun fabric. The fabric has a slight sheer striping to it. Which makes these a super sexy pair of undies that you wouldn’t mind showing off.

The pouch is also unique. I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it at first. After trying another pair of “separate pouch” trunks, I thought I had an idea. When you put these on, you will notice a hole in the pouch which almost looks like a built in cock-ring. Which can give you lift and nice profile. But it was a little tight for “everything” to fit though. so after a little research, I found that you are just supposed to put your shaft though the hole and separate your shaft from your balls. This was a lot more comfortable and was a unique feeling for sure. It took me a couple of times wearing these to get used to that feeling. The front pouch also has just a flap of fabric over where your shaft sits. Which was nice as it added for movement over the day. As you went through your day these undies almost catered to the size and position of your shaft. This was also very convenient when using the restroom. Just lift the flap and you are ready to go. I am sure this could be convenient in other ways as well. 😉

Overall I really like these as a night out pair of undies. I am not sure the pouch would be something I would be able to wear all day or to the gym. But if you are looking for a sexy pair of trunks that have a bit of uniqueness to them, these are for you. If you are looking to try something a little different and have an open mind, I think you would enjoy these as well.

Pros: Interesting design, was comfortable for a days wear. Not hard to put on

Cons:.Guys who don’t like to dress up may not like it. Others may not like the sleeve design

UNB Tim  recommendation: I was surprised how much I liked this. If you want something different that doesn’t constrain or

This is a review I swear I wrote a while back. I had King Style follow up with me and realized I didn’t post it. So my apologies to King Style for the delay. This was my first time wearing anything by King Style. They are for a lack of better word, interesting. They have some designs that are not the norm with pockets, sleeves.

Normally I wouldn’t like these types of pairs. I say this because the pairs are overly complicated in the way you put them on and how they fit during the day. But I gave it the UNB try. The Style Stripe boxer is a little interesting. They look like regular boxer briefs but have a sleep that your member goes through. When I put them on they were pretty easy to get into. One thing I noticed is that the sleeve is open at the top. So it has a bit of a peekaboo effect.

I didn’t wear these on a day where I was going to be gone for too long out of the house. If things go wrong I didn’t want to be in these for an entire day. During my wear running some errands I forgot what pair I was wearing. I was really surprised on how they fit. Unlike other pairs they didn’t constrict or bind. There isn’t any elastic involved in the pouch design. It felt like I was dressing up. So those guys who are the kind who dress up you need this pair. It will keep everything pointing up.

The sizing was pretty good. Note that their sizing doesn’t match standard US sizing. I am usually and XL and wore and XXL. This means you may have to move a size up from your usual size. If you buy from any site they will have the size chart. We also have posted it above.

Underwear Review N2N Bodywear Neon Classic BoxterN2N Bodywear furnished the Neon Classic Cotton Boxster (NC16) for review.

Rating: 7.4/10

  • Daily Fit: 6/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 7/10
  • Styling: 8/10
  • Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros: Colors, Fabric.

Cons: Leg Bands, Restrictive Pouch.

SALVATORE Recommendation: I am typically a brief guy, but have been attempting to add more boxer briefs and trunks to my collection. The simple reason is that my wife thinks they are sexy and comments on trunks or boxers briefs every time I wear them. I am not saying that you should select your underwear solely on what your wife/girlfriend/significant other thinks. I am saying that she does play a role in influencing what I buy and wear. After all, we enjoy going underwear shopping together.

This particular design gave me the opportunity to try something new and add a trunk to the collection. Because I am so into anatomical pouches. The write-up and look of this boxster seemed to be a perfect pair. To add to my budding collection of trunks and boxer briefs. I received them in the mail, opened them up, got excited about the look and feel and decided to try them on. These are my findings:

Pouch: Contrary to the pictures posted on line of the sexy model with the big package hanging naturally inn an ergonomical looking design, there IS NO POUCH. The boxster is virtually completely flat in the front causing testicles to stick to legs. This overwhelmed my disappointing feelers. My system failed to recognize the potential of a pouchless trunk.

Leg Bands: The leg bands are extremely loose fitting and cause severe bunching under clothing. Personally, this is the number one reason I stay away from trunks and boxer briefs. I do not like the bunching effect. I have found several well-constructed trunks that do not bunch. The tradeoff is a really tight leg band that sometimes leaves ridiculous lines under clothing.

Fabric: The cotton and spandex blend is the most appealing thing about this trunk. The fabric is super duper soft and feels so incredible laying on the skin. WoW! Is all I can say about the fabric. Although I have been very critical about this boxster. I recommend the pair for a lounging lay around the house day type of garment. The color pops and will draw attention if you happen to be standing in front of an open window or door. Who knows, maybe that is what you are after!!!!!!

I also recognize that I have a bias towards pouch types and briefs. With that said, many people are not bothered by a snuggly fitting pouch and bunching under their pants. That’s okay. I will always say that N2N puts a lot of effort into their designs and makes incredible garments with men in mind. Don’t let me dissuade you from making the purchase. Go buy a pair and do an honest assessment for yourself. Enjoy this great men’s underwear designer.

Junk UnderJeans Junk X TrunkJunk UnderJeans furnished the Junk X Boxer for Review

Rating: 8.6/10

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 8/10

Pros: Junk X Pouch, contemporary design, great material

Cons: Waistband rolled on me during wear

UNB Tim recommendation: These are great for the gym or work. They are made for a guy with a bit more junk in the front. However, the front won’t be too big for you. The trunks held their shape all day and gave me the perfect amount of support.

I continue my Junk UnderJeans reviews. The Junk X has a really good pouch. Junk X pouch is one that is a bit roomier. It, however, won’t be oversized. There are  a few pouches on the market unless you can fill them out they look like you are wearing a sock on your junk. The design of the pouch is very good. Hats off to Junk for creating this line!

The pair I’m reviewing is the Junk UnderJeans Junk X Trunk. As many long time readers know, I”m not the biggest fan of trunks or boxer briefs. Mainly because of the lack of support. I feel by the end of the day I’m in a pair of boxers. My hopes were high for this pair with the pouch.

I wore this on a weekend in a more relaxed time. There was no lifting or outdoors for this pair. Being a style that isn’t my favorite, I didn’t want to push my luck. They held up really well. The pouch lived up to my expectations. It kept everything in place and kept its form. It didn’t suffer one of my other pet peeves for boxer briefs/trunks. The legs held in place all day. I could have worn them to work.

The only down size is like the Junk X Jock I reviewed. The waistband rolled a bit on me. Like the jock, I really didn’t notice it was happening until I took them off. Usually when a band rolls or binds it gets uncomfortable. This one did not. I think it was because of the material of the waistband. Why does this happen? I think it’s the way I am built. I don’t think it’s something Junk UnderJeans is doing wrong. The briefs fit amazing. We have all had those pairs where they didn’t fit us in one area. I don’t hold this as a defect or flaw in them but more in me!

The sizing is really great for Junk UnderJeans. I have had no issues of pairs being too small or big. They have been spot on for all the pairs I have received. Just double check the size charts. Note that some pairs go up to 2 and 3 XL now. So it’s not just for small guys!

The design is a sporty design. You could definitely wear them to the gym. They are classic with a pop color. Perfect for work, the gym or hanging at home!

Pros: AMAZING Print, Slinky Fabric, Sexy cut.

Cons: No overwhelming cons.

SALVATORE Recommendation: Summer is in full swing! And, I LIVE ON A TROPICAL ISLAND. That’s what makes this incredible print so appealing to me. I look super tropical (at least in the mirror), and the appeal of such happens to be the style of the season. N2N continues to impress me with their unbelievable trend setting styles. This design is amazing. The end of this post is simple: PURCHASE NOW!

N2N sent me the blue color. I must admit that the print looked amazing in the upclose. When I tore the package open and got a feel for the fabric, the print quickly became a bonus. The fabric blend is amazing to the touch and feels even better up next to the unmentionables. The slinky feel is slightly opaque and very breathable. Simply super desirable for the underwear enthusiast.

Two other features about this brief stood out to me—the waistband and the leg bands. Although the leg bands are little larger than I prefer. They are extremely soft and comfortable. The trunk is more of a hybrid between a trunk and a brief. The inseam length is super short, but slightly longer than a typical brief. This combined with the thicker than normal (for a brief) leg bands create quite the underwear line in slacks. If you don’t care about that—well, it doesn’t matter then now does it? I don’t want to diminish how comfortable the leg band is—EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. The waistband is smaller than what the industry has produced in the past few years. I think we are seeing a return to normal—as opposed to the “let’s see how big we can get our waistband to be so everyone knows what brand we’re wearing because the waistband is sticking out of our pants” era.

True to form, the design team at N2N combined the NHance pouch with the fabric to create a very natural hang. This is important to me. I definitely classify this trunk in the top 10 natural pouches list. Go buy it now!

Hello folks, today I’m reviewing a new pair by one of my favorite companies, Clever. It was furnished by Candyman Fashion. One of their new designs coming out is the Original Sin Boxer (2255). I received the “Black” pair that has Teal as the Accent Front color with Black as the background. The other option available for the Original Sin is the “Red” pair with a Gunmetal as the Accent Front Color.

Clever_2255_Black_1

The main body of the boxer is a 94% cotton/6% elastane. Though the main body of the fabric is a cotton blend, which is usually not my favorite, this blend is nice and smooth. The front of the boxer is a synthetic mesh that isn’t see through. But definitely shows off details very nicely. The front pouch is contoured out and gives nice room for your kit. The background fabric meets the front at the side seams. Then travels almost to the front on the inner thigh. The thread color matches the front fabric, so on all front seams, it blends in. While the back seam goes down the middle of your butt and Y’s out down the legs as a contrast.

The two main things I really love about this boxer are the mesh fabric in front.  The subtle design choice that really makes this boxer pop. The mesh in front is a really nice tiny hole mesh fabric. That is lightweight and definitely breathable (great for working out in). The design choice I love is that the contract back fabric wraps around towards the front by the pouch. This makes your pouch “hang” in front of a contrast backdrop. Which really amplifies the visual from the front (which is wear a lot of pouches read as flatter).

Clever_2255_Red_1

On a less happy note, the leg bands of this boxer don’t have a lot of structure to them. So it’s really easy for them to ride up your leg (which is the main reason I end wearing mostly briefs). But it’s not bad enough that I was constantly pulling it down, it was just something I noticed.

I really do like this boxer, and will add it to my drawer of boxers I actually will wear regularly.
PROS:

-Sexy pouch visual.

-Breathable mesh fabric.

-Attractive butt seams.

CONS:

-Legs ride up.

Underwear-20150922Hey guys, Undies Rock here back at it with another review for the new Tommy John Move 360 sport boxer brief (furnished by Tommy John).  I’m not a huge advocate of boxer briefs. I have heard good things about Tommy John and I have yet to try any of their products so I figured I’d give them a shot.

First off, whenever I get a new pair of underwear one thing that always sticks out to me is the quality. Right from the get go I could tell that this was a high quality pair of underwear.  From the construction, to the material, to the waist band, everything was as solid as it could be.  They are definitely designed for athletic guys in mind to withstand the most rigorous activities and multiple washes thereafter.  Unlike the other boxer briefs I have tried, this pair provides substantial amount coverage.  The length of the leg sits a couple inches above your knee, and the waist sits at your navel.

The 84% polyester 16% spandex material is smooth and soft. It doesn’t feel cheap, and provides the right amount of support and flexibility.  It is also anti-microbial and anti-odor technology, which is great for athletic wear. The legs are constructed with, I would describe, as a traditional microfiber fabric. While the crotch and butt are more of a mesh (cooling zones) material for additional breathability. The material is offered in three standard colors: black, dress navy blue, and turbulence grey.  They aren’t the most flattering, but they are good for everyday wear.

One feature that impressed me about this pair is the strong yet soft and not too restricting tagless waistband. Tommy John is stitched into the front center of the waistband. While the remainder of the waistband is detailed with dashes.  Which I find adds an edgy vibe to a pair that would otherwise feel like traditional boxer brief.

This pair also has some unique features such as a utility pocket.  It’s reinforced around the opening lips for added strength.  I know it’s not a deal breaker when buying a pair of underwear, but this could be useful for stashing keys when on a run.  Also the opening for the crotch is from the top. Which makes it more functional compared to the traditional side entry.

To get a feel for the pair, I test drove them through a normal day at work.  The soft material and waistband maintained comfort throughout the day.  There were no pinch points or any exceptionally tight regions.  I have a ~34” waist and the medium I was wearing (rated for 31”-34” waist) felt true to size. Not too tight and not too loose.  One observation that I made with this pair is that I was constantly adjusting myself throughout the day. I think this may be true for most boxer briefs for me, so it might be a symptom specific to all boxer briefs.  The crotch has a lower center seam to aid the cupping effect of the pouch and give the appearance of a seamless crotch. Which is a huge plus for me.  However, I found the crotch to slide down throughout the day. Instead of the pouch providing support, it just pushed my junk against the side of my leg.  I knew I would start chaffing if I didn’t adjust, so I had to, which became annoying after awhile. For a pair that is advertised as requiring no adjustment, I was a little disappointed.

Currently you can find these directly from the Tommy John webpage for $34.  This may be a little pricey, but the quality is well worth the price. Overall, although this isn’t an ideal pair for me (I might dig them in a brief). I can definitely tell from the construction that this would be a perfect pair for athletic guys who prefer a modern kick to the boxer brief.

Pros:

·       Solid construction

·       Soft, breathable fabric

The Tommy John 360 Boxer Brief retails for $34 at the Tommy John site.

ass_7When you think of underwear, for most our readers Fort Troff doesn’t come to top of mind. Those familiar with it know its got some great gear and fetish materials. They have had underwear for a few years but most has been very much fetish driven. They have just released the new Fort Grunt Boxer Briefs. Fort Troff furnished a few pairs to review. It was definitely interesting to receive underwear that I had no clue what it looked like.

When I opened the package I saw a camo print underwear line. Camo has been big but this is Fort Troff’s own print. Its not green but grey and I really liked it. The first thing I noticed was the quality. Some times when you get underwear from a company that specializes in fetish, its made to take off than keep on. This was not the case with this pair. The feel really impressed me and you could tell that a lot of effort was put into this new line. Fort Troff said they used the same factory that produces UnderArmour. After they told me this, it does have a feel of UA but with a bit more fetish side!

I wore the pair to work one day in a busy week. These undies are not make for fun, they are really great undies that you can wear during the day. The pouch has a sort of mesh material made for breathability and it gave some good support too. “This moisture-wicking performance fabric has incredible stretch…and our mesh pouches BREATHE…for all damn day comfort” This is what they say about the line. It was very true. An amazing fabric on a print just made this pair a winner for me!

The big question for most is what is the sizing?  Being a new brand for me I don’t have anything to draw from other than the size chart. Small is for waist sizes 28-30 inches. Medium is for waist sizes 30-32 inches. Large is for waist sizes 32-34 inches. X-Large is for waist sizes 35-37 inches. I received an XL and I think I’m bigger than 37 and it fit pretty well. I was surprised. I was fully expecting to try them on and go “OH NO, too small”

I was super skeptical when I was sent the undies. I am not the biggest boxer brief fan so this already had me going, ehhh. After wearing them, this is an amazing pair of underwear. This is an every day pair. This line is made to feel sexy yet comfortable every day.

Pros:

  • Amazing Fabric
  • Cool Camo Print
  • Made for comfort

Cons:

  • The Fort Troff Name may turn guys off (don’t let it!)
  • Some guys may not like camo.

I love when a pair of undies can be used for multiple purposes. Like wearing a jockstrap for the fun and sexiness but yet have it be functional at the gym. I had the opportunity to review a pair of undies that I would not only wear everyday under a pair of jeans.  But wouldn’t mind laying out by the pool in these guys either.

I had the opportunity to review the 2(x)ist Black Light SLIQ micro truck in a size medium. I have to admit, I was a little confused when I first opened these up. They looks like a sexy pair of square cut trunks and heading into winter. I was a little concerned that I wasn’t going to be able to give these a fair review. But as soon as I took them out of the package and tried them on, I was SOLD. The fit is amazing, the fabric is amazing, the overall construction is amazing. These are just an all-around great pair of undies.

The fabric on these is a 88% polyester 12% spandex blend. The polyester gives them a little bit of a sheer look to them.  Which is what made me think they were swimwear when I first got them.  The spandex adds for a great amount of stretch and movement. This fabric is lightweight but yet seems very tough and would hold up to even the craziest gym workout. They design of this trunk is very minimalist with a screen printed logo on the left hip and pattern on the fabric extends all the way up through the waistband. The inside of the waistband has a great logo design and also is very soft. The pouch is great as well. It roomy and I had no issues with feeling cramped at all during the day. The low-rise cut is awesome and fit perfectly below the hip, right where a good pair of trunks should!

The color/pattern is kind of hard to describe, but it wouldn’t be my first chose. It is a very random almost “tie-dye” look to it. I wasn’t a huge fan of it, at first but it is growing on me for sure.

PROS:

  • Great fit and true to size
  • Great construction and attention to detail
  • Great fabric for everyday wear, stayed in place all day!

CONS:

  • Not a big fan of the color. These look great but would love to see more pattern options.

This pair was furnished for review by Andrew Christian.

I will start by saying that boxer briefs and trunks are not my first choice of underwear.  So when I pulled out this pair I did;t expect them to be on regular rotation.  I first noticed that the fabric was very soft. The anatomically correct pouch was going to leave very little to the imagination. Lastly, the waistband only said BLACK with no Andrew Christian in sight.

These were my choice for a typical Monday at the office, under jeans.  When first pulling them on I was pleased by how they felt so broken in already. Its like they had been washed over and over.  I’m definitely a fan of fabrics like that.  The pouch was supportive and comfortable even though it leaves a less than attractive silhouette in my opinion.  I was nicely surprised by the fact that the legs really didn’t ride up too much under my pants. The pouch wasn’t as obvious under my IMG_1494clothes as I had anticipated.  I did have to make occasional adjustments to the pouch throughout the day but not enough to be a problem.  A nice, light pair of underwear for a workday – or even lounging since they’re so soft.

These were a medium (30-32) and they fit true to size.  The fabric has a LOT of stretch. If you like things a bit tight, you could size down if you’re on the lower end of the size range.  I’m a 31-32 and these were fine.  If you’re a true 30, you should get the small.

This collection also comes in a brief which I will try next and the colors available are black, blue and red.

Overall, the Black Collection Boxer was a great pair and will be in my rotation every so often – especially when I want to show off a bit.

PROS

– very soft material

– showy pouch for guys that are into that

CONS

– limited color selection

– some pouch adjustments needed throughout the day

– silhouette of anatomically correct pouch isn’t very attractive (IMO)

BodyAware furnished us several pairs to review. This is one of those pairs. The Screen Door Booty Short is one when I opened I was very skeptical of wearing. It is a nylon mesh with not much stretch. This could go really bad really fast! Being the trooper I am I put it on and hoped for the best.

BodyAware describes this pair as “our newest high-visibility design allows plenty of show-through and a bit of a breeze. Perfect for light-weight under coverage, this virtually weightless mesh booty short is contoured to fit and feel the best. With the very soft mesh and a satin dyed-to-match waistband for unconstricting comfort and a shaped full back”

Since I was a little apprehensive about the pair I decided to wear this around the house one day. I didn’t want to be out Unknown-51and it not fit well. It has the contoured pouch that I really liked but wasn’t sure how it would do all day. After a few hours I was really surprised the how these held up. The support and fabric felt great, the nylon has 8% spandex that gives it stretch. The nylon fabric could feel scratchy and uncomfortable.

The mesh in this pair is 100% see through. I received the white and you definitely could see everything. Like I have said many times before, 100% mesh has it’s time and place. It was quite fun to wear around the house. If you are a mesh fan you will love this pair.

The sizing of this is pretty good. BodyAware has pretty traditional sizing charts. I received and XL and it fit me very well. Sizing in general with them is pretty spot on. Most have been traditional sizes. As always double check the sizing charts if in doubt.

Pros:

  • Contoured Pouch
  • Felt great throughout the day
  • Super sexy pair

Cons:

  • Some guys may not like the 100% mesh
  • Some guys may not like the nylon fabric.

You maybe going, didn’t you just review this furnished by Saxx? I did review the Grey boxer but this one is the Red boxer in the Vibe collection. I LOVE the print of this one. It’s def has the ugly Christmas sweater vibe! That is one reason I loved it so much. It’s a pair you can wear to any holiday occasion or party!

I really hoped I liked this pair because the print is one I really like. The grey one I reviewed was good but It didn’t remind me of the pairs I have reviewed in the past. This pair lived up to that and more. The fit took me back to one of the first pairs I ever reviewed. The innovative pouch held everything great and no discomfort!

I wore this on a busy day. This was to see how well it would hold up. It was an active day on the go from 9 am till 8 pm! The pair rarely got in my way or was noticeable in a negative way. Unlike the other pair this one held up much better. The pair moved with me and during an active day it was a perfect pair to wear.

Again, the print! I love what some would consider tacky and over the top. Its my thing and I just embrace it. So when I opened and saw the grey pair I was like, Awe! Then I saw this pair and said “YES!” or as is popular “YAAAASSSSS.” The pair has a holiday print so this may limit when you wear it or you can rock it in July. I wouldn’t suggest wearing to the gym because in July you may get some strange looks wearing  Christmas underwear

The sizing was great. I had no issues. I got an XL and it fit me pretty well. I hope to go back down to a 36 but I have to work on it. They have had consistent sizing over the years and I don’t think you will have any issues.

Pros:

  • I love the print, did I say I love it!
  • Great for an active day
  • Fabric to be active in

Cons:

  • Print maybe too much for some
  • Its an interesting pouch design

Beau Briefs recommendation: A perfectly pleasant pair of trunks with a classic N2N look. These were furnished by N2N Bodywear for review

Rating: 8.5/10

Daily Fit: 8.5/10

Sizing: 9/10

Construction: 8/10

Styling: 8/10

Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros: Light weight fabric, good movability, comfortable wear, cute!

Cons: Nothing in particular, not an absolute stand out

It is nice to have a perfectly pleasant pair of trunks to turn to. This pair of N2N trunks is seamlessly swell. One can put them on in the morning and wear all day without issue or discomfort. The color has a nice red pop to it and is playful with the yellow accent. Not generally two colors I like to have go together but I have no issues with the combo here.

Being a pair of N2N underwear you can expect that your business will be out and about for display. The way that N2N bulge bump is a true phenomenon and I have no issue with it. Some other brands do too much to try and emphasize everything.  They make it all awkward and uncomfortable but not N2N. It will be out there and it will be shown off. But it isn’t uncomfortable and there is no second thought about it.  No fumbling to put things where they are supposed to be or anything.

The fabric is lovely and soft against the skin. It’ll wear nicely through the day with no chaffing or odd rub. If you don’t want to have to think about the pair that you are wearing and just go about your day, this is that kind of pair. No second thought, no mid-day discomfort, just undies.

Also, it’s cute! It really is an effortlessly cute pair of underwear. It’s cute to see, it’s cute to show, it’s cute. If you’re me, cute is one of the highest compliments to give to a pair of great day to day underwear. so I’m sorry if I’ve used the word too much.

Anyway, in the end. Get this pair, grab it in the morning, have a great day with a cute pair of undies. It’s just that simple.

body_7f8e8704-e919-4aa4-819f-03ef3b7ec468_1024x1024I am loving Kiniki underwear. The next pair we have furnished by them to review is the Bandicoot Hipster. It has a funny name but it’s actually a jock boxer. This is my first time ever wearing this style. It may seem odd that I run an underwear blog and never wore a jock boxer before. It took me a while before I finally tried my first jock brief. It’s not that I have an aversion to the pairs but just didn’t have the opportunity to give them a try.

This being a new style for me I wasn’t sure what to expect. I slid it on and noticed you had to use some extra help in the back to pull up the legs. If this is going to be the way I have to deal with this pair all day, it won’t be fun. At least those were my thoughts. But, I had to give it a try! At first I felt kinda of naughty and sexy. Here you are in this trunk but with an open back. I kind of liked this feeling.

I wore this around running errands and working as well. My initial thoughts of the pair didn’t come to pass. It held up quite well. Even being not a huge fan of boxer briefs, the support and fit of these were pretty nice. They fit pretty well and moved with me through out the day. The front gave great support and things didn’t move around through out the day. I was very pleasantly surprised at this. Add in the sexy feel and I really liked them.

If you read the Bandicoot Tanga review from last week, this pair has the same fabric as the that pair. It’s a very comfortable Cotton Lycra blend fabric. It really fits great. Kiniki says this pair has “comfortable and enhancing with an integrated front pouch adding to form and function.” I would totally agree. It’s one of the better pouches on trunk/hipster I have tried. I will say they definitely succeeded on the pouch!

Sizing for me was good. Like the Tanga this pair has a waist band that was almost at the too tight level when putting on. During the day there was no issue. It was only when I was putting on or taking off. Outside of that the XL I was given fit pretty well. As always double check your sizing charts for what size you should get.

Pros:

  • I loved the sexy feel this pair gave me
  • Great supportive pouch
  • Amazing fabric

Cons:

  • Some may not like the open back
  • I wish it came in more colors, it just comes in black and white

Ratings:

  • Daily fit – 8
  • Sizing – 8
  • Construction – 9
  • Styling – 8

When Saxx asked me if I wanted to review the new Holiday collection I immediately said YES! They sent me two pairs to review! I was told the new collection was based on the “Ugly Christmas Sweater” and I said SOLD! I had to get these! They send some really great ones. The first pair I am reviewing is the Grey with Reindeer print.

I have tried a few pairs of Saxx over the years. They have an innovative pouch design that is designed to give some great support and cause less issues that would make you adjust. The first time you put on a pouch you kinda go “What the heck?” But there are no tricks or such to get it on. You can wear them for every day or to work out in.

We all know I’m not a big fan of trunks/boxer briefs. I never like the lack of support I get from many pairs. This is not something I had to worry about with Saxx. The innovative pouch design would guarantee me good support. There were a few times that it required some adjustment but it wasn’t bad.

I wore this pair on a day full of errands. I was pleasantly surprised that the legs stayed in place. These were a bit longer than previous pairs I have reviewed. They never rode up or caused issues. The pouch like I said gave me some issues but it Unknown-40wasn’t a constant ongoing issue. The fabric is great with Saxx. It’s a 95% Viscose / 5% Spandex blend.

Let’s talk about the print. I am a big fan of prints and this one is amazing. It definitely was ugly sweater inspired. But to me it wasn’t ugly enough! It’s a lot of fun though. This would be a great pair to wear to a Holiday Party or home for the Holidays. It’s definitely something I haven’t seen in underwear before. Few companies have ever done pairs like this, my hat is off to Saxx!

The sizing is good with Saxx. The best thing to do is look at the sizing chart. The XL they sent fit me pretty well. I had no issues with it. It should be pretty standard with US sizing. They are based out of Canada and most Canadian companies match the US sizing standards pretty well.

Pros:

  • OMG The Print
  • Great fabric
  • Available to wear at work or play (working out and etc)

Cons:

  • Some may not like the print
  • The pouch is different and not everyone may like the fit

If you have read any of my past reviews (I know it has been a while). You will know that I am a sucker for a great pair of colorful undies.  Something that makes you feel sexy and not defiantly not a afraid to show off. As I was browsing the new collection by Clever these were a pair that I just had to have. They are bright fun and being from Clever, I knew they would be super comfy.

I had the opportunity to review the Clever Sauris Boxer in the coral color, size medium. I have to say that clever delivered and then some with these. When I first saw these online I was instantly attracted to the bright coral color with contrasting blue and green waistband. So before they even came I had pretty high expectations. These came with a few other pairs that I got to review, but I was instantly drawn to these. When I first opened the package I noticed that not only are these bright in color.  But they have almost a mesh like fabric which gives it that little extra punch of sexy. I have tried mesh undies before and haven’t always been a fan, but the fabric was very soft and very stretchy. The waistband is you standard 1.5 inch and is blue in color with the Clever logo in bright green. They have a thin blue piping around the front pouch and everything is topped off with a bright green stitching.

I have worn these a couple times already and they have defiantly moved to my “favorite undies” side of my underwear drawer. They are great to wear all day and for pretty much anything that I can think of. They held up great for me at the gym and were great to wear to work. The fabric is very flexible and moves with you no matter what you are doing. The front pouch is very roomy and didn’t feel like it was crowding my package at all. I also thought that these did a great job of showing off my butt.

The only concern that I might have with these undies is the fabric. I love everything about it, but it feels very thin and I am not sure how long it will hold up. I have washed these multiple times already and so far the fabric has held up, so I hope it continues that way.

PROS:

  • Bright and fun Coloring
  • Comfortable to wear all day
  • Excellent support both in the front and the back

CONS:

  • Thin fabric that might wear out.

2241 (1)Clever really has stepped up its game when it comes to finding great fabric and fun colors and patterns. I and usually up for anything that is brightly colored weather it is a solid color or a pattern. When I found out that I was going to have the opportunity to review the Clever House Boxer. This pattern had me intrigued.

I am reviewing the Clever House boxer in a size medium.  I don’t think I can say enough great things about this pair of undies. They are fun and bright, they fit great and they can be worn for almost every occasion. From the wide and crazy geometric pattern to the solid blue wide elastic logo waistband.  These are a pair that I think everyone should have in the underwear drawer. So let’s start at the top.

The wise logo waistband is super comfortable and soft. I usually don’t like wider waistbands, but this one didn’t bother me at all. The waistband sat perfectly on my waist and wasn’t uncomfortable at all. The main  fabric is a 90% polyester 10% spandex microfiber blend.  It has a little bit of a shiny element to it, and is very comfortable. It stays in place and provides an amazing body defining fit. The front pouch is very roomy and with the stretch fabric, it moves with you all day. The way these are stitched in the back also give your butt a defining lift which for most guys is a defiant plus. Now to the pattern… Even I thought this might be a little crazy for me, but I really like it. The geometric pattern is fun and with all the contrasting colors. It makes for a great look that is fun without being obnoxious. I have worn these a couple times now and have loved every minute I have had these on. The one thing that I would recommend against, since they are a 90% polyester blend.  They aren’t the best to wear while you are at the gym. The fabric doesn’t breath a well as a cotton blend would.  Once you get out of the shower, these are my go to night out on the town pair of boxer briefs,

PROS:2241 (2)

  • Contrasting geometric pattern is fun and sexy
  • Excellent support in front and back
  • Great fabric that defines your body and moves with you

CONS:

  • The 90% polyester fabric doesn’t breathe the best.

PN_OnHK3.jpg-largeLast week my bum got chummy with my new pair of Bum Chums, British Puddings Rhubarb and Custard Trunks.

For starters I LOVE any pair of undies that calls its color Rhubarb, you won me over with that one BumChums. Now I just want pie. Anyway, I do honestly really love the color. Especially the contrast piping listed as (Custard, I mean come on! Love it). Enough about the colors? Fine.

The first thing that I noticed is that there is a definite difference between the tightness of the waist band verses the legs. I’m a size 31 waist so smalls can technically be hit or miss with me, there are a few brands that I know to just order up a size. This one however was the opposite, the waist band felt looser. Now, not loose as in I was gonna have dropping drawers throughout the day but it just didn’t have that relaxed hug. Comparatively the piping around the legs were very snug, on the boarder of a bit too much and passable.

Now the fabric is Polyamide 92% and Elastane 8% blend and do you know what they means? Heaven J The feel of the fabric is exactly what one wants in an underwear. It’s got a smooth, soft feel but it fits and holds the things it needs to fit and hold…if you catch my drift.

If you didn’t catch my drift, the pouch or “bulge” area was perfectly comfortable. It had a fair amount of room but it also had a fair amount of restriction. I am personally not a fan of underwear that I feel won’t give any resistance to hardening opposition. So I was very happy with this pairs pouch. 10 points to Gryffindor, I mean, BumChums.

Overall this pair of trunks was wonderful. It wore nicely throughout the day and was very comfortable in any position and motion. Sometimes great pairs aren’t so great when one does too much walking or steps throughout the day. These held up perfectly without losing any of the comfort. My one critique was just the waist band. The band itself is very cute and fun I just wanted a little more hug.

Pros: Super fun and creative colors, good wear throughout the day, super comfortable fabric

Cons: Slightly tight leg piping, a bit slack waist band

Rating: 8.5/10

Bum-Chums furnished this pair for review

nutsack-hipster-red-full-back_large

One thing about Bum-Chums is they love to have fun making underwear! Every time I see some of their stuff I smile. They aren’t afraid to try new things and create fun new styles. To borrow a British term they are a bit Cheeky! The pair that I got to try is the Nutsack Hipster.

The first thing you need to know about he pair is it’s a mesh pair. I don’t mean a see through but it has large holes and there is very little left to the imagination! This made me really question how it was going to hold up through out a day. nutsack-hipster-red-full-front_1024x1024Was it going to be comfortable or feel like a cheese grater? I was hoping for the first.

I wore this pair to a 4th of July get together. The event was held outside in the GA heat and humidity. This would be the
perfect pair to wear, so I thought. After I slid the pair of I made sure nothing was hanging out. It looked a bit odd to me but it really was comfortable. I still wasn’t convinced for a full day in this. After an hour or so I forgot I was wearing mesh.

The Nutsack hipster felt great through out the day. I was really surprised how well it felt. There have been many mesh pairs that after about an hour I have to take them off. They irritate and drive you crazy. This pair felt like regular underwear. Granted there was one or two times when I noticed it but for the most part it held up very well.

The sizing in Bum Chums should be generally well. I wore and XL. I fit and didn’t bind or feel too tight. They should be standard for the most part. When in doubt consult our size guide page or the company!

Pros:

  • Super fun design
  • Comfortable Mesh
  • Ability to wear all day

Cons:

  • May show off too much for some guys
  • Definitely not gym friendly

sft.pe.013.6000.fSukrew has become one of my favorite new brands. They have created one amazing pouch that fits amazing! The last review went very well with the brief but I wanted to try a trunk. Making a trunk with a pouch is not an easy thing to do. Some make them so the pouch doesn’t hold your junk and others make the pouch too small. One’s that can get it just right make it into my top underwear drawer.

At first look the pair is fun. I am a fan of colorful underwear. My underwear drawer doesn’t have a lot of orange in it, so I decided that why not get a pair! Not to mention that the blue waistband with the orange is smoking hot to me. The two colors go very well together.

The pair itself is made out of amazing material. You can feel it when you pick up the pair to put on. The 95% Polyamide, 5% Elastane fabric feels awesome. It’s thick and gives you great support throughout the day. The pouch of the pair is a darker shade of orange. It is made to really give you support and yeah it will show off what you have too! Many of our readers this is a plus! I prob wouldn’t wear it to a job interview but just about all other times would be great.sft.pe.013.6000.b

Wearing the pair for a day it felt great with one minor problem. I don’t have the most junk in the trunk. The back was a little snug. Not totally crazy that it didn’t cover me but it was a little tight. It maybe the back Y design that I didn’t like. If you have some junk in the trunk you may have have an issue or it could have been the pair I received. It didn’t detract from the pair. I mainly noticed it when I pout it on not during the day. I think this was more of a personal preference than design problem.

The sizing of Sukrew has always been comfy. None of the pairs I have received from them have been off. They are good about making underwear that fits their sizing chart. I have a pair of swimwear to review from them next and I will let you know about that sizing! But I think you can safely order your size off the chart and not be disappointed.

My personal favorite of what I have reviewed has to still be the Tartan Briefs I reviewed. But these will be put in in my rotation as well. That is because of the color and pouch. The back I think may be a one off or get better over time!

Pros:

  • Bright Orange color
  • Great Sukrew pouch
  • Fabric that feels amazing

Cons:

  • Back was a little tight
  • Waistband maybe bigger than a few of our readers may like.
