Men’s Underwear

Category

The Malebasics Lace Micro Thong V-String is a great pair of underwear. I received the black and red pair to review. The waistband is a wide 2 inch piece of soft black lace. The actual pouch and thong strap are a red nylon/spandex blend. (85% Nylon 15% Spandex.) The materials are very soft.

Now I know many of you aren’t the type that wear thongs on a regular basis. The thought of wearing a lace thong might just seem even stranger and too feminine. If you strip the preconceived notions of what is masculine versus feminine you might be surprised by the likability of wearing this garment. Women wear lace often because it is a soft fabric. So why shouldn’t men get the chance to feel soft luxurious fabrics against their skin. The day I decided to wear this pair for my review I sat at my desk at work and ran errands after in NYC. This invovled some serious walking around several neighborhoods so I definitely had a chance to put these to the test.

The design of the underwear is very simplistic. The pouch is two pieces of fabrics with a front middle seam and the thong strap is attached at the base of the pouch. I prefer my underwear to not have a seam in the center of the pouch. Malebasics only offers this thong is two sizes (s/m and l/xl). I found that the front seam didn’t bother me as it normally does because the size of the underwear was larger than what I normally would get. The length of the strap was also nice. There was never a need to adjust the pouch or thong during the day.  The width of the waistband was a little too wide. Since the fabric is so soft there is little structure to stop it from folding. Under my jeans it stayed flat for the duration of the day but later when I got home and decided to relax on my couch in just the underwear I noticed that it was folding. The waistband is so soft that I was happy to realize I hardly felt it on my skin.

I don’t think I would wear these to the gym. I say this not because they are very feminine looking but solely based on the sizing. They are very comfortable to wear under jeans but I don’t think they would be very supportive while working out at the gym. Would I wear them again? Sure. I don’t think I would make them a regular pair I pull out of my drawer but they will definitely be worn at some point again when I just want to look sexy while I lounge around.

Pros

  • Soft fabrics
  • Fun color blocking
  • Good design and manufacturing

Cons

  • Front seam in pouch
  • Dual sizing ratio

Right off the bat I thought mesh? I don’t know how it will look or feel on me! But after I slipped on the smooth yet fitted pair of the Bum Chums I knew I had a winner! The see through material gives you a sensual feeling of freedom and sexiness but also a great feeling of comfort and security that the goodies won’t fall out.

At first glance, I was questionable as to how they were going to feel. I figured the mesh would be itchy and not comfortable. However, I the fit is amazing. If you were not looking, it would feel like you had a pair of cotton boxer briefs on until you look in the mirror and woops, there’s your bum peaking through the see through material!

Positives: First and foremost is the fit. The fit of this pair is amazing. You could wear this during the day when running errands, chilling around the house, or underneath your going out outfit for a Friday or Saturday night! Not to mention a romantic evening with your significant other to really heighten the mood. 😉 Also the feel of the fabric is amazing. It’s breathable which is a huge plus! You can wear it under any outfit and no one would know what you’re wearing underneath until they slip it off and surprise!

Negatives: I find the only negative is that the fabric could tear if anything sharp is around it or if you pull too hard on the fabric. So make sure you order the correct size. They fit normal and they don’t run small so you should be good with a normal size you always wear.

This pair is a winner in my book and in my pants. You can wear it out and feel sexy but at the same time knowing your bum is safe and secure. I would fully recommend that every man should have a pair of these Bum-Chums that will soon becoming a Chum for your Bum!

As being a football lineman build, I always find it tough for underwear that fits correctly. It’s either too small in some areas or too big in others. With this pair, the black nylon fabric has a nice soft feel to it. It breathes and stretches well with each step you take.

From the first glance at the pair, it looks like a pair you would wear when one is about to be in a porno or getting ready to hop on stage for a strip tease. But it definitely is one that peaks the interest and begs you to try it on.

When I first wore this pair, it really turned me on. The built in c-strap helps lift and keep your goodies up and at attention, while the pouch keeps it supported. The open back leaves much anticipation for a little action. It is a pair that I would not want to wear when heading to the gym or to do vigorous activity.

Positives- if you’re in a “frisky” mood I would definitely recommend this pair. It gives you a feeling of sexiness that a pair of regular boxer briefs wouldn’t give you. The feel of the nylon is one that is a huge turn on against your manhood. For a night of fun and excitement I would fully recommend this pair!

Negatives- this pair is not practical and for an everyday use. The open back may give you chafing during vigorous activity. Also the c-ring may get in the way of daily activities and make it difficult for you to continue throughout the day without feeling a sense of excitement. Also it did ride a little low for my taste so the plumber butt crack always made me aware.

Wrestling is pretty damn hot as it is, with all those hunky guys in skin tight singlets with their prominent bulges rolling around the ground with other wrestlers grabbing them “accidentally” in all the right spots. Well, Pulse has upped the ante making singlets in their signature soft 4-way stretch and totally see-through mesh showing off not only the bulge but what’s causing it. Oh, and don’t worry about that huge boner that’s sure to pop up from wearing this hot gear – Pulse’s 4 way stretch mesh can handle it.

Just in time for the upcoming Olympics (or hot underwear party or pride event), these new wrestlers at Jockstrap Central come in three patriotic versions: USA, Canada and Great Britain. Jockstrap Centrals says: Collect them all and invite your friends to your very own wrestling event, just be sure to send them the video!

Keep in mind that these singlets are limited editions and Jockstrap Central only has small quantities. When they’re gone, they’re gone for good.

Be sure to check out Jockstrap Central for all the sizzling hot photos of their favorite porn star model Ryan Russell putting these wrestlers through their paces

I’ve been dying for months to try out some of the new lace underwear made for men. I love the idea of male lingerie, and I love the playful blend and balance of the masculine with the feminine. One of my favorite photographers Thomas Synammon has an incredible project called Leather and Lace, which completely lends itself to this balance. So when I heard that I’d be receiving the MaleBasics Lace Jockstrap made of 85% nylon, 15% spandex, I was excited to say the least! Available in red, white, and black (I reviewed black), the idea of the masculine jockstrap balanced with the femininity of the lace, sounded perfect!

I tested the jockstrap on a work day that finished at the gym. I had some minor issues at work such as the straps rolling (there’s no elastic holding them in place), and a little bit of trouble with hair getting caught in the paisley patterning, but for the most part, I was able to look past the minor discomforts. At the gym however, I realized that although this is a jockstrap, it is not meant for active use. The straps rolled non-stop, they didn’t breathe very well, and more trouble with hair getting caught.

This was a great first try by MaleBasics at blending the masculine and feminine, but there were a few other things that MaleBasics needs to fix in their next iteration… besides the straps that kept rolling (it would be great to maybe put a little elastic in them to keep them in place), my biggest issue is with the construction of the underwear. At least on the pair that I received, there were loose strings hanging off all over. Because of how delicate the underwear is, I was afraid to pull on them, so they’re still hanging off. On a side note, it would be great if MaleBasics could find a way to make them machine washable (they are hand-wash only).

The concept is definitely there though. I plan on examining other types of lace underwear, as well as reexamining MaleBasics if/when they come out with their next iteration!

PROS

  • Great concept!
  • Balance of masculine and feminine
  • Minus the loose strings, they look fantastic

CONS

  • Rolling up of the straps
  • Construction issues

Sweat is one of those companies that has been on UNB since the beginning. I have heard that they would definitely get into swimwear and have been excited to see their take on swim! Well the wait is over and the new Swimwear is now out! Its a classic cut and style with our anything too crazy. I am really glad to see them expand the line and know we will see great things from Sweat

  • Solid body with contrast side bar insert. 80% nylon / 20% spandex knit tricot fabric.

“I feel pretty. Oh, so pretty.”  How else should one react when putting on a piece of underwear that reminds them very much of a sexy piece of women’s lingerie?  The white and black, 78% nylon and 22% spandex brief is perfectly name “Cheeky.” This name references both its bold statement and its fit, not to mention that when this reviewer sees the word he immediately thinks of a British maid which fittingly works for this garment. Its high trim around the buttocks does show a little more cheek than I typically might be used to, pushing the name even further. This does not take away from its comfort or sex appeal however. The lacey trim supports and adds comfort to all of one’s rear assets. The soft nylon pouch in the front does the same for those other utmost important pieces of equipment that need to be held and comfortable. All in all this a comfortable piece with a nice amount of design flair, in an odd sissy-like type fashion.

Available in two color combinations black/white or white/black, the piece is slightly limiting in fashion with that regard. However, for what you are buying I am not sure one would want any other colors. It does have a few other downsides as well. This is not a piece that I would recommend for everyday use. The lace and the nylon both seem somewhat fragile and I would be afraid to put them through too much rigorous wearing. The garment is also not washing machine safe and must be hand washed and laid flat to dry. Hanes briefs this is not. All those women out there that feel men have it too easy when caring for our undergarments now have a piece to throw in our faces. Kudos to them.

PROS

  • Cute
  • Comfortable
  • Different

CONS

  • Care Instructions
  • Not for everyday use

We want to introduce you to one of the models that will be in our Swimwear Guide. His name is Seth and we think he will go far in the world of men’s underwear! Here is a brief interview with set.

How did you get into underwear/swimwear modeling?
-It started accidentally. Facebook really helped launch my start in underwear/swimwear modeling after posting a few summer pics that seemed to catch the attention of a few photographer friends.

What have you really enjoyed about it?
– I’m really just thankful right now for all the opportunities modeling has unexpectedly given me.

What have you not enjoyed about modeling?
– Well I tend to be a big boy, and like to eat- A lot. So modeling has made me be more aware of what I eat now. Lol

Do you have any favorite brands of underwear?
– I would say my favorite brands would be 2(x)ist, Calvin Klein, Nasty-Pig, and Andrew Christian.

What are you goals for modeling?
– Im being such an opportunist right now, and not trying to define myself to a certain goal. I feel I need to be open and allow the element of my “modeling career” find it’s own unique path; although, I would love to work with Nike, Adidas, or Under-Armour one day.

Other then UNB Where can others find you?
– Currently I am more on Facebook and ModelMayhem.
You can find me at : https://www.facebook.com/seth.a.breezy  or http://www.modelmayhem.com/sethbreezy

NOTE: The swimwear guide will be shot in early May and released in mid May.

Cocksox® keeps raising the bar with this new range of ‘wet look’ Lycra® swimwear. Super shiny, incredibly form fitting and incredibly light, these swim briefs and trunks are simply amazing to wear and to look at.

“We love working with luxurious or unique fabrics and when I found this incredible Italian made fabric I couldn’t wait to see it on a guy,” says Nadiah, Cocksox® founder and Creative Director. “As soon as you feel it you want drape it all over yourself, it’s just amazing.”

“Visually it’s also stunning,” says Nigel Christensen, Cocksox® Co-founder, “the way it shines when it’s worn is awesome. It’s hard to believe it’s not rubber or latex but then when you handle it you realise it’s fabric as light as silk.”

“We love to have fun with naming our products and when we saw this on our model we knew we had to come up with something that suggested fetish fun,” says Nadiah, “A lot of names were tossed around, most of which we can’t repeat, but Dominator made us all nod and smile so we knew that was the one!”

The Dominator range includes two new styles as well as an old favourite. There’s the CX08WL Swim Trunks, the much requested CX24WL Brazilian Swim Briefs and the classic CX02WL Swim Briefs, all available in either Sub Black or Switch Blue.

The CX08WL Swim Trunks in ‘wet look’ Lycra® have an internal draw-string, butt hugging back, contour pouch and the wrap-around cut shines on every curve, and we mean EVERY curve.

The Brazilian cut CX24WL has a high arch across the top of your buns, showing off more flesh than a regular brief but not a exposed as a thong or g-string. And the pouch in the front is a smoother, leaner fit than other Cocksox®. Add the shiny, ultra-light fabric and OMG!

The CX02WL is a swim brief that offers full butt coverage, form hugging Cocksox® pouch and skimpy sides that are all the more exciting when you’re oh-so-shiny!

The entire Cocksox® range, including the new Dominator styles, are on sale until midnight April 17 so now is the perfect time to try out new Cocksox® at a discounted price or to stock up on your favorites.

This marks 15th year anniversary of Pistol Pete. Peter and Sami of partners of 20 years left corporate jobs to start a men’s clothing line. They started with just shirts, then swim and athletic and underwear. Taking their knack of making swimwear more unique novelties and embellishments and applying to underwear.

This being 15-year anniversary Pistol Pete will be launching 15 city promo. Partnering with key stores to do giveaways, fashions shows and more. Magic was a huge success. This year they teamed up with Instinct Magazine to do a Swimwear Fashion show.  The  show showcased the best in swim from Pistol Pete for 2012. This will help them mark the biggest season ever.

Instead of recreating the wheel, they looked at what’s done well with fits and fabrics. transform new bodies such as singlets tanks and shorts into body-contoured sporty look and fit.

What has done well for them is Power mesh group, A comfortable stretchable soft mesh. Dressed up with sporty lines and racer style elastic band. Another area they have excelled in is Jocks. Everything from wrestler jocks, varsity with bright colors and lace ups and fetish jocks. Black/yellow, black/red and including studs.

Swimwear still doing very strong with novelty belted groups being released this year. These will include various hardware and buckles. New square cut length is  going to be released that is a longer length  to give a guy who likes board shorts an alternative.

Athletic wear is going to look good in the gym or out. They have tried to make the fabrics are true athletic fabrics, including dry fits and moisture wicking. The athletic will be something fun and fashionable.

The new collection features:

  • Swimwear played up on a sexy sporty nautical theme.
  • Underwear – Soft fabrics with just a tease of sheer have been great at the sale. Giving a little hit but not showing too much. With comfortable pouches.
  • Active-wear – Looks great in our out of the gym.

We will bring you a lot more Pistol Pete this year. Stay tuned for a lot more. We will be reviewing them this next month. Pictures in this post are from the Instinct/ Pistol Pete Fashion show in Vegas.
