Bon Voyage inspired in the renewal of the 1960s as a result of the socio-cultural transformation experienced throughout worn in the 60’s where silhouettes take a more geometrical shape. Longer garments become shorter and waists become broader to emphasize curves. All retro styles are adapted to current needs and lifestyles, giving rise to a retro futuristaesthetic design which draws attention for its contrast and for being the most current revision of the 60s.

Aussie swimwear companies are releasing their summer styles. This is a good thing and bad thing for us in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s good because we get to take out time to pick out some amazing swim. And it’s bad because we suffer through the cold, rain and snow wishing for warmer weather.

Sluggers is a company I have come to love over the last year. Their philosophy and style have won me over. I bought a pair a while back and love what they do! It’s a company I hope you guys all will check out. If’ you’re not a fan of super fun prints this won’t be for you but it you are, I think you will love it.

The new print is called Little Pricks. It’s a pink background with little green Cactus on it! It’s a super fun print. It was designed for Sluggers by a customer and Instagram friend Vageli. Which is so awesome.

It’s going to be tough to figure out which of the Sluggers I want for this coming year!!

If you are like me you are seriously missing swimwear weather. However, we are in form winter for at least 4 more months. So the two options are hope for warmer weather faster or head south to warmer climates. One company that I have had my eye on for a while is HVNC. They are based out of Austraila and make some pretty awesome swim breifs.

This past year there has been a big trend for Aussie swim companies. And I think this is a great thing because they are making some awesome swimwear. It’s really creative, well made, and some of the best designs on the market.

One of the new pairs is the Flux Red Swim brief. They make their swim briefs with imported Italian Polyester. The print is designed in-house using high quality, digital printing processes. And it’s chlorine and UV resistant fabric will let is be in your swim line up for a while.

If you love this as much as I do check out all the swim at HVNC

There are only a few styles in this line. A Brief, Trunk and ever-popular thong. The last collection had this in a black and white combo, I think this combo is just HOT

Sometimes a collection just needs a new color! I think the combo here is just perfect! It pops but is not over the top with wild colors. I like my swimwear to be noticeable but not scream LOOK AT ME.

While we are having cold weather and maybe some snow in North America, down under they are in summer. Time to grab your swim briefs and hit the beach. Teamm8 has released a new series of swim briefs. We profiled the flamingo briefs from them a few weeks back. However, not everyone is up for rocking a pink swim brief on the beach. The new Strike swimwear is a classic cut and color swim brief.

The new Strike swim Briefs comes in four great colors. They are Navy, Red, White, and Green. The features of this brief are a Quick dry 4-way stretch, Fully lined, and External tie-cord with metal tips. Made out of a 85% Polyamide 15% Spandex fabric.

I personally love this pair because it is more classic. This pair will have a lot more guys willing to wear it. It also is a cut that many different body types can wear as well. If you’re thin, muscular, or beefy. We are seeing more and more swim briefs coming to the market. While I still want the flamingo brief, I would not turn this down either.

Remember it’s never too early to get you some great swimwear for the summer! You may have a cruise or tropical trip planned over winter. Plus its my opinion you need to have 3-4 pairs of swim per season.

Color: Navy, Green, Red, and white
Fabric: 85% Polyamide 15% Spandex
Sizes: X-Small – X-Large

ES Collection released the new Bon Voyage swimwear collection. This is what they told us about this new fun collection.

The birth of Denier exactly 60 years ago served as inspiration in developing a cheerful collection which is fresh and marked by contrasts. With “Bon Voyage” we go back to the 60s, which was the height of the industrialization boom in Barcelona and as a consequence, saw the arrival of thousands coming from smaller towns and cities. Denier was born in the heart of what was later called “Catalan Manchester“ because of the number of factories situated in the popular Poblenou neighborhood in Barcelona during that decade.

But the Barcelona of those years was also marked by an initial opening of Spain to the exterior and by the arrival of the first tourists to our country and, with it, a new way of seeing life and understanding leisure. The artistic currents of these years were marked by the arrival of people from other countries bringing a new vision of life: the hippie movement, pop art and optical art, the new hyperrealisms … Everything found a place in a society marked by change and movement.

“Bon voyage” is much more than just a simple trip, it is the journey of life; it speaks of movement, mixture, evolution … Throughout history, changes have always come from influences, movements, migratory flows … and the 60s in our country is a true reflection of all of that. We hope you have a good trip!

Do you love this collection? If so you can find it at the ES Collection site.

I know for many of you, swimwear is the last thing on your mind. It’s cold and even snowy where many reading this are located. However, a pair from Teamm8 came across my radar and I just had to share. One because it’s pink, and pink swimwear is amazing. And two it’s one of my obsessions right now Flamingos.

I hear some of you saying that this is over the top for you, but they do make it with a navy background as well. However, I think if you’re going to rock the flamingos go full on pink. Pink is no longer a fem color and has been fully embraced in men’s swimwear and underwear. In fact, its one of the more popular colors for men.

The new brief has flamingos all around the brief. I think it’s super fun and you will get a lot of attention on the beach with this pair. And you will get asked, “Where did you get that pair?” It’s definitely a pair to wear to a pool party and hang out. Can you tell I really love this pair?

If you are in the market for new swim or hell if you just want something awesome check out the Teamm8 Flamingo Swim Brief! I don’t think you will be disappointed.

There is a new brand of Swimwear out of Australia. This is one you guys definitely need to know about. I got a chance to send them some questions. This is your introduction to Turlock & Co but you will see a lot more of them on the site.

What made you start a swimwear company? Why did you did you focus on swim briefs?

A. Just years of working with creatives like photographers and graphic designers. So I wanted to start a brand with the true understanding that a brand is about a lifestyle not just a logo on a piece of clothing. So I thought swimwear. Shorts T-shirt’s. Casual California beach. And then I moved to Australia!

You are an Aussie company, do you think the Aussie guy is more likely to buy than Americans?

A. Well we are technically Aussie and my team are Aussie but I’m an American so we get a mix of the best two countries in the world and so far it’s pretty even with Americans and Australian purchases

You have a unique point of view in swimwear, what inspires you to create the pints and colors you have in the collection?

I’m inspired by the California coastline and. Ow the Australian coast line ! So a mix of the two and next season an injection of colour two our prints

We are an American blog, so most of our readers are in the states, do you have any advice in purchasing your suits for the best fit?

A. We sized our brand based on a few very popular competitors. And our sizing it fitted and well sized. If your not sure after reading our size guide on the site. Email us and tell us who you have worn before and we can suggest a size! We will exchange sizes if you got it wrong. But remember to try them on over your underwear!

The last question is who is the Turlock & Co man?

A. Our Turlock&Co Man is the sophisticated. Stylish man. Nothing too over the top loves classic over trendy and wants to steal the show with class! He knows our Brand is class!

Where can our readers find your site and on social media?

It’s Time for the new Marcuse Summer collection. Yes you heard me right, being an Aussie Brand they are gearing up for Summer. This year they have some amazing new pairs. They have quite a few pairs in this collection. The list of pairs are as follows.

Note there is a mix of underwear and swimwear. Marcuse makes really great everything. It’s super hard to pick just one over the other. One thing that I love about the new collection is the bright colors. I’m personally a fan of bright colors in swim and underwear.

This looked like a super fun shoot. For this collection, Marcuse invited photographer Igor Kireev @igorkireev_photographer to shoot 2 HOT models Tumash Dmitriy @diman_t_m and Kirill Mikhailov @mikhailov_kill

One of our favorite Aussie swimwear companies has released a really awesome new print. Sluggers have a new camo. It’s not the traditional or the digital camp. It’s their own interpretation of the print. It’s actually pretty damn cool.

It’s a green print camo that is more abstract than anything. It’s for the camo lover and the guy who may not be 100% on board with camo. I think there will be plenty of guys who are not keen on the print normally, to give this one a try. As you can see it’s one of the more unique ways that camo has been presented. I tip my hat to Sluggers.

This pair is as always available in Classic, Deetees and Racer styles. All their styles come in these, and if you aren’t sure which style you should get, the Sluggers site will help you determine it. They suggest that us US Blokes get the Deetees. But, I say explore your options and try them all!

Check out the new pair at Sluggers site!

Pair: Sluggers Camo
Color: Print
Fabric: High Clo elastane
Sizes: X-Small – X-Large
Price: All three styles are $35.71 (with current exchange rate)

One brand that really impresses me is Walden Athletic. They are taking sustainability to a new level. If you’re very eco-aware, this is a brand you need to check out.

Here is a brief overview of the brand:

Each year humans discard over 8 million tons of plastic into the ocean.  The damage wrought on marine life is vast and varied, killing species at all levels of the food chain due to starvation, suffocation, poisoning, and entanglement in debris.  Because ecosystems are interconnected, this affects not only wildlife, but also vulnerable human communities.  The destruction is unsustainable and it’s time we put a stop to it.

At Walden Outdoor Athletic, we manufacture swimwear, activewear, and accessories using textiles produced from recycled plastics.  We aim to divert plastic waste from polluting waterways and instead use this material to produce durable and meaningful goods.  We believe there is power in community and that we must rally to make an impact.  We want you with us in this effort.

The skull and pine represented in our logo contrasts the transience of man against the longevity of nature.  Wear these emblems as a badge of honor and symbol of solidarity.  The time for action is now, let’s do it together.

We got to ask them a few questions:

So what made you start your own swimwear line? Also, why did you add in a sustainable element to the brand?

The idea to focus on sustainability and environmentalism actually preceded that of creating a swimwear line.  Our environment, especially the ocean, is in a precarious situation that many see as a make or break moment for the planet so it seems imperative to me that new products and services keep sustainability in mind.  I think this is the way of doing business in the future and that consumers will come to expect environmental responsibility in everything that they buy.

It wasn’t until around May of 2017 that we came up with the idea of doing swimwear.  One morning I was swimming on an island in Greece and began to notice that garbage washing in from the ocean was floating all around me.  After a couple days thinking about this and basically living in only a swimsuit it struck me that the exact garment I was wearing could be a way of addressing the problem.  I was familiar with fabric produced from recycled plastic but hadn’t seen any men’s swimwear made from it.  After a lot of searching we were fortunate enough to find a reputable supplier producing high quality (designed for competitive swimming) fabric from recycled PET.   After a couple months of patternmaking and testing fits we had our first samples for the Club Brief and Club Trunk.

What has the response to the line been from your customers? Are you finding guys are after recycled material? Who do you consider your customer?

The response has been very encouraging! We have only been in business since March so we have a lot of work to do in really getting to know our customer and making sure he knows about our brand and what it stands for. From what we have seen so far though, the guys who are wearing Waldens are very engaged in problem solving, whether in social issues or environmental issues or politics and beyond. That’s something we absolutely love about our customers. Our hope is to build a real sense of community around the brand with lots of like-minded guys sporting the skull and pine. It’s what we mean when we say to wear our logo as a badge of honor and symbol of solidarity.

Check out the brand at the Walden Athletic site.

As we finally get some fall temps up here in the States, Australia is about to enter summer. Aussie brand Sluggers is releasing some cool new pairs. One in particular that caught my eye was the new Cherry Bomb. It makes you wish we had a longer summer (but only to rock this on a beach), but I guess we still have Miami, San Diego and Hawaii!

The new print is just super fun. I think Australian brands have a lot more fun with patterns and prints. They all seem like they love to have fun and not take things so seriously. I think Sluggers is one brand that really does prints and patterns very well. They range from the traditional to the fun.

Another awesome thing about Sluggers is it’s available in three different styles. The Classic, Deetees, and Racer back. That means you can get the same print in different cuts. One thing that I hate is when you find the perfect print and it’s not in your favorite style. Sluggers you can get the bigger cut, regular and smaller , as I like to say.

Check out the Cherry Bomb and all the new styles at Sluggers! You won’t be disappointed.

I am not the biggest thong guy on UNB. Unlike UNB Ryan and Shawn, it’s not my go-to style for underwear or swimwear. Although, after posting the Skinzwear Stuffit Thong on Thong Thursday a few weeks back, I decided to branch out and give it a try. I mean a pair of thong swimwear for just $20, why to try it.

I reached out to Bikinisnthongs on Twitter and asked him about the pair. He said it was one of his favorite of the Skinzwear thongs. So I was looking forward to it. Now, this is not a review but an overview of my experience with the thong. Being that it’s not my favorite style, my review would differ from others.

My past with thongs is I have worn swim thongs and owned them before. Most of mine were a bit bigger than this one. And they were made of stretchier fabric. With that, I gave the thong an open mind. When the thong arrived and I opened the package I noticed that they have one of the most in-depth care instructions I have ever seen in ordering a pair of swimwear. It tells you the best way to care for the suit in any type of condition. It’s great to see a brand take time to share this info, no wonder so many guys love this brand.

I wore the suit for a few hours as underwear. I didn’t have a place to hang out with them. I was worried the pouch wouldn’t stretch to fit me. I was worried for nothing. I loved the fit of the pouch. The thinner sides were different for me but I liked it. It will take me some time to get used too. But I could wear this at a place where I felt really comfortable. I wouldn’t wear it out like some of the other guys but that’s just me.

If you have been thiking of getting a thong swimsuit, I really recommend Skinzwear. The Stuffit Thong in black is the first one I have had in probably 15 years. Here are reasons to get a thong from Skinzwear. First they have great styles. There are several more than just this one. Next, they have super fun fabrics that are made to order. Lastly, if you want a suit in a particular color, pattern or fabric, they can make it for you. What’s not to love about that!!!

Go check out Skinzwaer.
