Bon Voyage inspired in the renewal of the 1960s as a result of the socio-cultural transformation experienced throughout worn in the 60’s where silhouettes take a more geometrical shape. Longer garments become shorter and waists become broader to emphasize curves. All retro styles are adapted to current needs and lifestyles, giving rise to a retro futuristaesthetic design which draws attention for its contrast and for being the most current revision of the 60s.

ES Collection released the new Bon Voyage swimwear collection. This is what they told us about this new fun collection.

The birth of Denier exactly 60 years ago served as inspiration in developing a cheerful collection which is fresh and marked by contrasts. With “Bon Voyage” we go back to the 60s, which was the height of the industrialization boom in Barcelona and as a consequence, saw the arrival of thousands coming from smaller towns and cities. Denier was born in the heart of what was later called “Catalan Manchester“ because of the number of factories situated in the popular Poblenou neighborhood in Barcelona during that decade.

But the Barcelona of those years was also marked by an initial opening of Spain to the exterior and by the arrival of the first tourists to our country and, with it, a new way of seeing life and understanding leisure. The artistic currents of these years were marked by the arrival of people from other countries bringing a new vision of life: the hippie movement, pop art and optical art, the new hyperrealisms … Everything found a place in a society marked by change and movement.

“Bon voyage” is much more than just a simple trip, it is the journey of life; it speaks of movement, mixture, evolution … Throughout history, changes have always come from influences, movements, migratory flows … and the 60s in our country is a true reflection of all of that. We hope you have a good trip!

We are delighted to present our new 2018 swimwear collection where we want to transmit once again the color, the joy of living and the enthusiasm of summer. For 2018 we have chosen Formentera as the unique stage to develop our most important campaign of the year. It has been the intensity of the blue color of the waters of this beautiful island that has given name to a jovial and colorful collection where the quality of fabrics and innovative cuts once again mark the character of the collection. BLAU, blue in Catalan, is the name of our 2018 swimwear collection, where for the second consecutive year we present garments for both men and women.

Intense blues and reds, floral prints as well as the glitch trend, a kind of visual “error” which brings a digital touch to the garments, obtaining as a result a very present day vision of tropical prints. We do not forget the basics, where we developed new simple garments of very current and elegant cuts.

We profiled the ES show and now we post the video of the entire Fashion show. This is the YouTube Description

ES Collection presented its new Fall/Winter 18/19 collection Dystopia, a concept which is contrary to utopia. “Dystopia” poses a world where contradictions of ideological discourses are brought to their most extreme consequences. In this sense, dystopia presents a decadent reality warning of the potential dangers of ideologies, malpractice and the behaviours on which our current society is built: extreme capitalism, state control, consumerism, technological dependence, wild pollution, etc.

A futuristic collection after an apocalyptic world where traditional schemes give way to a change of concepts and paradigms. When presenting this change in paradigms, garments play constantly with contrasts of thicknesses, styles, colors, textures …

We can find synthetic quilts and leathers in the same garment combined with very fine fabrics such as thin polyamides or meshes, or very elegant and delicate garments including karabiners and ropes, typical of a much rougher and rural context. In summary, a collection which is not governed by traditional aesthetic patterns, one which presents a man and woman who are survivors of a global catastrophe.

Quality, design, comfort and “eco-conscience” are our fundamental principles http://www.escollection.es

ES Collection 080 Barcelona Fashion Fall/Winter 2018-2019

ES Collection presented yesterday its new Fall/Winter 18/19 collection Dystopia, a concept which is contrary to utopia.

Within this context, the designer Carmen Monforte has been inspired by the great references of cinema and literature which initially developed this concept. Thus, books like Brave New Worldor 1984, or films like MadMax, Blade Runner and Waterworld have served as an inspiration to develop a futuristic collection after an apocalyptic world where traditional schemes give way to a change of concepts and paradigms.

When presenting this change in paradigms, garments play constantly with contrasts of thicknesses, styles, colors, textures … We can find synthetic quilts and leathers in the same garment combined with very fine fabrics such as thin polyamides or meshes, or very elegant and delicate garments including karabiners and ropes, typical of a much rougher and rural context. In summary, a collection which is not governed by traditional aesthetic patterns, one which presents a man and woman who are survivors of a global catastrophe.

Quality, design, comfort and “eco-conscience” are our fundamental principles

ES Collection was founded in 2006 in Barcelona, dedicated to the design, manufacture and retail of men’s swimwear. Months after its first opening it began its international expansion. Located in Barcelona, we love to highlight that ES Collection manufactures almost all of its production in Spain, being one of the few companies which still incorporates in its labels the already almost extinct phrase: MADE IN SPAIN.

After the successful retail in swimwear, ES Collection expanded its designs and began to make underwear, sportswear, street wear and accessories, always focusing on a male audience. However, more than a year ago, ES Collection decided to take the leap to women, presenting its first women’s collection.

The principles that govern the commitment of ES Collection in matters of corporate responsibility are the active awareness of the conservation of the environment and a strong social commitment linked to the improvement of work and human rights, developing its activity with absolute transparency in relation to its business activities. Its great commitment is to favor the economy at a local scale by promoting hand-made quality in its products. ES Collection works with workshops and regional suppliers creating jobs in our community, maximizing efficiency and minimizing distances. As a brand, it has always defended and supported equality between individuals, positioning itself against any form of racial, sexual, cultural or religious discrimination.

Innovation has been one of the pillars of the brand since its early days. ES Collection invented and patented the pack-up in men’s swimwear, a foam cup which helps improve aesthetics by providing the front of the swimsuit with a better shape. Throughout all these years, the Catalan brand has continued to patent several of its innovative technologies with a continuous desire to ensure that aesthetics is not at its odds with comfort, both being present in every single one of its garments.

The Catalan designer Carmen Monforte presents a man who is very sure of himself, with a strong personality, but at the same time very sensitive, always letting himself be guided by an underlying sense of immortality and perpetuity.

Her proposal for this autumn/winter focuses on the presence of dark colors combined with metallic touches which, together with the variety of proportions and textures, make up a very contemporary and spontaneous collection, ideal for a daily look.

To achieve this, the collection plays with a rich variety of fabrics like modal or viscose, which combined with other organic fabrics, give rise to enormously soft and adaptable garments, almost creating a second skin.

ES Collection has closed Barcelona Fashion Week today with its proposal for Spring/Summer 2018. “Tropik Glitch”; A collection inspired by the tropical beauty of the Amazon’s rainforest as an ecosystem full of life. It is a collection that highlights the explosion of senses and where the intensity of colors and fabrics are key.

ES Collection closed the Barcelona Fashion Week with a catwalk presenting its SS 18 swimwear collection on Friday 30th June. The collection’s name is Tropik Glitch. The catalan brand proposes a collection that draws its inspiration from the exuberance of the Amazon Forest, full of life and colours. The explosion of the senses obtained by this collection is rendered by the intensity of the colours used. “Glitch” is a kind of « error » or visual blur that gives a digital appearance to the prints. The result of this new technique of artistic expression is a very modern vision of tropical prints.
