D.Hedral furnished the Seamless Trunk for review.

Rating: 9.6/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros: Luxurious material, Anglefit technology, ridiculously comfortable

Cons: No defined pouch (more of a personal preference)

UNB Marco recommendation: This is hands down one of the best pairs of underwear I’ve ever worn. Completely worth the extra expense.

I first reviewed the Seamless Briefs from D.Hedral, so my expectations were very high for their trunk. In most ways, it’s similar to the brief, but in the end, this pair was better on all levels in my opinion. After these two pairs, I may have found a new favorite brand. D.Hedral is, of course, an Italian brand, which gives it that suave European style, and they really go above and beyond with design, quality, and innovation.

As with the brief, this pair would work well in any context, but the fabric is specifically designed to be ideal for exercise. I particularly liked wearing this pair to work, because it is perfect under a suit. The Anglefit technology and contouring design make it almost feel like you got your underwear tailored, so it’s meant to be. I can’t say enough about the comfort level of this pair of underwear.

I really liked the fabric blend on this pair, 92% polyamide and 8% elastane, which makes it stretchy, lightweight, and sleek. I noted in my brief review that that pair kind of rode up above one of my butt cheeks by the end of the day, but that was not a problem with this pair at all. That’s likely because this was a trunk and the leg elastic was well-defined, so it just was inherently not a problem. That pretty much removed my only complaint about the brief, so the trunk definitely comes out on top. I like how low rise the pair is because it complements your body and adds to the allure of the pair.

Although it’s called a trunk, the inseam is more like a boxer brief, probably around 6 inches down the leg. That’s really the ideal length for a pair of underwear in my opinion. As for sizing, there are only two options, small/medium and large/XL. My small/medium fit me well, and I’m a 31” waist, which is in the middle of the 28-34” range they suggested, a good sign. Go for the size you’d normally choose, and it will definitely fit because of the stretchable fabric.

Although it might be a bit less convenient to get a pair of D.Hedral due to international shipping, it’s completely worth it. This pair, or really any from this brand, will be a great addition to your underwear drawer.

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 8/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros: Luxurious material, Anglefit technology, waistband

Cons: No defined pouch (more of a personal preference), didn’t stay in place all day

UNB Marco recommendation: I am in love with this blend of materials and the classiness of this pair of briefs.

D.Hedral is one of those brands I’ve always wanted to try, but because it’s a European brand that charges shipping and is a bit on the pricey side, I never ended up making a purchase. Within the first minute of putting on the pair, I knew I had been seriously missing out.

When I first saw the pair, I assumed it would be more of a fashion pair and not made for going to the gym, but after wearing it, I realized I was wrong. The material is lightweight, breathable, and dries quickly, so it’s actually ideal for high-intensity activities. In addition, as its name says, it’s seamless, so that allows for more freedom of movement for various exercises. But I also think it’s  perfect for those lazy Sunday mornings spent lounging around the house because of its sheer comfort. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s one of the most comfortable pairs of briefs I’ve ever worn. It fits like a glove, has soft fabric, and doesn’t constrict any part of me.

My favorite feature of this pair is D.Hedral’s Anglefit Technology. Basically, it’s like an invisible Y back that contours your rear end and results in a perfect fit. There’s no lifting or uncomfortable straps, it simply acts as a second skin and shows off your silhouette. Overall, the seamless construction works well, definitely better than other seamless pairs that kind of choke your package due to the lack of built-in pouch. Every aspect of this pair is elegant and modern, especially the contrast waistband that adds an extra layer of style.

As for size, there’s actually only a Small/Medium and a Large/Extra Large. Normally this would present a problem, but the pair allows for ample stretching, so you should be safe basing your size off of their waist size ranges.

I suspect that within the next year or two, D.Hedral is going to become a major player in the American underwear market. That’s because it’s extremely comfortable, makes you look good, and has a classic yet unique look that appeals to every type of guy.

** D.HEDRAL Underwear & Beachwear with patented AngleFit Technology in every pair for enhanced fit and a more flattering silhouette than traditional underwear **

D.Hedral is out with a new line of underwear. The Evo line is their first hybrid seamless underwear. I really like the look of the underwear, it is simple which can be really elegant at times. The Evo line is available now. This is a new line to me so I have not got to experience it before.

The Evo line features no seams on the underwear. The line also features D.Hedral’s patented anglefit technology. The anglefit technology gives the underwear structured support, while allowing the underwear to stretch independently, and pulls upward to provide contoured support. The anglefit technology is made to be figure hugging. The company says investing in tailored clothing shouldn’t stop at your suit. The pairs are knitted seamlessly with lightweight Italian cotton microfiber. Every product uses materials that 100% made in Italy and are all manufactured by Italian companies. The Evo line comes in both briefs and trunks. You can use this pair of underwear for anything from the gym to work to a night of fun.

I really enjoy the look of this underwear. It is a classic look but the company ups it with their anglefit technology. The fact that the underwear is made to hug your figure is a nice feature since it will help people with and without a butt look good. I love the fact the waistband matches the color of the rest of the underwear, and the logo is the same color.

This is a nice line of underwear that is made without any real seams. The lack of seams and anglefit technology to help the underwear fit to your body and make you look good. The Evo line is available now on D.Hedrals website.

Gort_White-Green_Front

I was really excited when I found out I would be reviewing a D Hedral brief. I have read about them and their innovative way of fitting the buttocks called “Anglefit”. Basically, they take measurements provided by you (your waist size and your determination of whether your butt is slim, average or full), and calculate an underwear “angle” that is supposed to enhance the appearance of your hind end—135 for the skinny one, 115 degrees for average, and 95 degrees for ‘full’;. In their words: “our patented anglefit will curve closer to the bum than traditional underwear, to create unique figure hugging definition and a visibly enhanced rear.”

I have certainly have had problems with underwear in the past that was designed for skinny little bois with no butt whatsoever. Nothing bothers me more than having my butt hang out of a $20-30 pair of non-returnable underwear. So, I was definitely intrigued and excited to be asked to review the D Hedral brief.

When I got the package in the mail, I immediately ripped it open. I wanted to see this thing for myself and also check out what ideal my “angle”—95 degrees evidently.  So far so good; big butt equals smaller angle and a less steep descent over the butt. The color of the Gort brief was off white, with a white waist band, a purple triangle immediately above the center of the buttocks and an elastic band that ran down between the cheeks.

I’m not the biggest fan of myself in white or even off white, but I could live with that, as long as the fit was good. I doffed my clothes and pulled them on and checked myself out in the mirror. The brief hugged every part of me that it covered, and it covered my butt well. I was hard pressed to see any improvement in my appearance from the back, but it felt good. I took off the pair and set them out for the next day to review their performance.

My typical review day is a day of work, followed by a weight lifting work out at the gym. I was prepared to like the D Hedral brief, but I didn’t—I LOVED Them!! Although not immediately apparent, the longer I wore them, the more my butt felt “hugged” by them—for lack of a better word. It’s hard to describe, but I think many of the underwear brands out there must have a buttocks angle that is too steep for me. Wearing the Sid brief, I actually felt more energized as the day went on and had an amazing workout after work. There was absolutely no slippage or riding up at all, and yet they did not fit so tight that they cut off my circulation. The waist band was completely true to American sizing—my waist size is 31-32”. I wear a 32” Gort brief and it was perfect fit. The materials were of very good quality—83% cotton, 14% silk and 3% spandex (or elastane in European) and silk did give softness to the fabric that was noticeable.

A few other particulars: I was not and still am not a big fan of the off white color, but they have a wide range available—black, blue, green, purple, light grey, navy and white. The Gort brief is a low rise, but they have fuller ones available in their “Batty” and “Sonny” types, as well as trunks and boxerbriefs. No bikinis yet, but we can keep hoping for that. The line down the center for the buttocks does highlight your rear end without looking cheesy like some brands can. The only thing I did not like about it was the price of getting more pairs. Most of D Hedral’s non-sale items are 28 EUROS and above. They do occasionally offer free shipping, but when they don’t, it’s an additional 20 Euros to ship the US.

Given the fit, the feel, the look and quality of the their briefs, I am in love with D Hedral I may have been enthusiastic but skeptical before trying the anglefit out, but now I am a believer. I hope they open up an American shop, because if they do, I’ll be first in line.

D.Hedral furnished this pair for review.

D.Hedral is a brand we have covered many times on the blog. Including some really great pictures of former rugger Thom Evans. We got two great pairs to review, which are the Angel Fit and Seamless briefs. The first one I will be reviewing is the Seamless Brief. If you’re not familiar with D.Hedral they are a brand that is developed to enhance your backside.

I was really excited to try the D.Hedral after reporting on them for so long.  I wanted to see how well they accented my assets. The seamless brief, I don’t think has the same powers to show off my backside as the Angel Fit line. In the Angel fit you choose your waist and angle sizes. Where as, the seamless your only choice is size.. My past experiences with seamless underwear have not been too pleasant. Sometimes the waistbands won’t hold up and the pair looses shape during the day.  So I had hopes that I would not be let down.

I wish I had some exciting place to tell you I wore this pair and then put it through its paces. Like I went hiking or played baseball. I did not; I just wore them to work. Which when you come to think about it is where we wear our undies the most. It wasn’t to stressful day. I noted my concerns above and through out the day I kept notice on the underwear. It held up great and the waistband didn’t stretch or loose shape.  Made out of 92% Polyamide, 8% Elastane that felt great against my skin.  It really surprised me that it felt as good at the end of the day as the beginning of the day. I received the black pair but it’s also available in navy, grey and white.

If you order these directly from D.Hedral the sizes are in centimeters. So you will need to either do some math or find a converter calculator (which is what I did). The two sizes are S/M and L/XL.  S/M is 77-90 cm (30 – 35 inches) and L/XL is 91-107  (35-42). I have a 36-inch waist and the l/xl fit me fine. I didn’t want to chance the smaller size.

I really liked the fit of these. They did a great job making a seamless pair. Also, another thing was the waistband. Many times when you get a seamless pair it’s just the main material that is made into a waistband. This pair they paid attention to the waistband to differentiate it from the rest of the body of the brief.  My only complaint is that I wished they had a few brighter colors. I’d love to see a red or orange in this line.

Pros:

  • Great fit for a seamless pair
  • Made a great waistband
  • Soft materials blend

Cons:

  • Wish they had brighter colors

Ratings:

  • Daily Fit – 8
  • Sizing – 8
  • Construction/Materials – 8
  • Styling – 7
  • Daily Performance – 9

Today’s Brief Distraction is from D.HEDRAL. This is part of their new swimwear line.

“The model is Ruby star Thom Evans. D.HEDRAL is a luxury men’s underwear brand that will also be launching beachwear (as pictured) in the Spring.

This is Thom’s first major campaign since he started modelling last year and comes almost exactly three years after his life changing injury playing rugby for Scotland.

We think he definitely gives David Beckham a run for his money!”

New innovative men’s underwear brand D.HEDRAL announces Selfridges as its first worldwide stockist.

Launching in-store and online today, Selfridges offers the iconic ‘Gigolo Joe’ style (including two new colours) as well as ‘Sid’ briefs and trunks.

D.HEDRAL is the latest evolution in men’s underwear offering improved fit and maximum comfort.

Developed over three years, D.HEDRAL utilises patented ‘Anglefit’ technology that factors the roundness of the wearer’s bum to create a snug second skin.

‘Anglefit’ introduces three angles (135° Slim, 115° Average, 95° Full) that change the capacity and support of the underwear, allowing it to cling and stretch perfectly over the natural curves of the body to create a flattering silhouette.

Think of D.HEDRAL as the difference between investing in a made-to-measure shirt compared with off-the-peg.

This innovative concept combined with the finest lightweight luxury Italian fabric ensures supreme comfort and breathability.

Prices from £26 – £31 per pair D.HEDRAL is available exclusively at Selfridges Oxford Street and selfridges.com
