We have talked about it some here on UNB, but one of the newest trends in men’s underwear is creating lingerie for men. Just in case you haven’t seen it, the pairs are super skimpy and some are made with lace. I mention lace it will automatically turn off some of you. Because, underwear should be about the man and not turning him into something feminine.
The main company really taking the lead in lingerie for men is MaleBasics. As you saw last year we featured pictures of the line. It is an interesting line to me. When i first saw it at the show I was puzzled. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. I knew it would sell and there is a market for it, but didn’t know it the category was going to be too small.
The last few weeks i will say it has grown on me. There is something about it, I know I hear a few of you go, “you are crazy!” But hear me out here. Its a total departure for men’s underwear. It’s taking something we all love (since you are reading an underwear blog) and putting a new spin on it. Even if that spin is sheer, lace and super skimpy.
The MaleBasics line features:
- Thongs made from lace
- Multiple straps on thongs
- String bikinis made in mesh
- Lace Jockstraps
I have requested some of these to review. I have a feeling i will be the only one who will, I know most of the guys on the site will look at me like I am crazy when I will ask. I am doing this post because sometimes we all get stuck and need to step outside the box. Which I am doing here, I think it’s a really interesting concept and something new in men’s underwear. Will I wear them all the time? I don’t think so, but I think it would be worth trying out. I still love my Cocksox, N2N Bodywear, and aussieBums. However, I created this blog to showcase new and interesting things in underwear, that doesn’t mean all the readers will like whats new! Answer the poll!

2(X)ist has been at the forefront of men’s underwear for a long time. When I really started buying good underwear they were one of the companies that really turned the industry on it’s ear. They added color and that classic Y back thong we all now know. They have always played by their own rules and continue to do so to this day.
They had a blog before that was pretty active. They always had pictures, videos and more. It was that blog I leaned about the Sliq box. It was one that I thought was cool, I know many out there probably figured it was just a box, but I think packaging is just as important as the undies.
Now they have revamped the blog and added an e-magazine. The e-magazine features:
