The winter months couldn’t be the more appropriate time of year to purchase a well-constructed and functional boxer.  However, if you’re reading this review, you probably have acquired a more sophisticated expectation when it comes to purchasing the right pair.  Fear no longer, it’s quite easy when shopping for Ryocco Underwear.  They have an amazing ability to take modern styles, materials and designs an incorporate them into some really fun and exciting underwear without losing integrity to quality, functionality and durability and the classic look that boxers provide.

This is my first experience with testing underwear from Ryocco so I was a little skeptical at first but upon my initial inspection, I could quickly tell these were of quality construction and functionality.  When I’m looking for a new boxer, I want something that is extremely rugged, masculine and works well under any physical or sporting activity.   This boxer fits the bill as it is made of soft and comfortable cotton with design cuts on the sides of the front and circular cuts in the back along with contrasting yellow colored biases that give this pair a modern twist.  It includes an enhancement cup and a wide elastic waist band with the manufacture’s logo name embroidered across the front.

As shown in the picture, the high quality box comes in a snug masculine fit around the legs.  This particular pair like other boxers offered by Ryocco is constructed with a combination of materials consisting of 96% cotton and 4% Spandex.  I would consider this one of the best pair of boxers I’ve tested in a long time and would highly recommend them to anyone.  In summary, if you’re looking for a traditional, black boxer that can take a lot of physical abuse and still hold up at the end of the day, you’ll want to check these out.

When I first received this jockstrap, the first words that entered my mind were, ‘Wow…I haven’t seen a jock like this before’.  I’m always excited and inspired by manufactures who continue to push their creative limits, both in construction and design.  Freedom Reigns has established themselves as a unique and profound style that is grounded on quality and inventive underwear.  Needless to say, this new jock titled, “Speedster” doesn’t deviate from this manufacturer’s reputation.

This particular jock is made like a brief but fits like a jock, which is constructed from the softest open see-through mesh fabric. The wide waist band with the Freedom Reign signature name travels across the front of the jock providing substantial support.  The sporty and vivid yellow color turns up the sex appeal without compromising the functionality of a jockstrap.  The jock has a sporty poly-mesh pouch with unique rap-a-round speedster sides and a sexy cut-out butt, all trimmed in black.  The jock is also available in solid black

Recently, I pushed the envelope a bit and gave this jock a real workout at the gym.  The jock provided adequate support as a good jock should and still felt comfortable and unobtrusive in supporting the goods.  It comes to no surprise considering that these are constructed with 95% cotton and 5% Spandex.  .  I was totally pleased with the visual appeal and fit of this jock which says a lot for a guy who prefers the traditional trunk for everyday underwear.

In summary, if you’re looking for a new jock to add to your spring collection especially with Spring Break coming up, you might strongly consider this manufacture.  However, if you’re simply looking to add some sex appeal to your underwear collection, Freedom Reigns also provides a variety of additional jockstraps that you might want to investigate.

When I first received this jockstrap, the words that entered my mind were, ‘you can’t be serious’.  However, being the open-minded person that I self-proclaim, I was open to trying the innovated design and construction that sets this manufacturer apart from their counterparts.  Based on the quality of materials and yet unconventional style, I was eager to put this jockstrap to test.

This particular line designed by Pikante called ‘80’s Mosaic’ a jockstrap with wide elastic and the waist embroidered with the brand in a contrasting black color.  It’s made of soft cotton printed with tiles in earth and blue tones that give a modern twist.  This jock provides excellent support while being comfortable at the same item.  This pair is comprised of 93% cotton and 7% Spandex materials.

I pushed the envelope a bit and gave this jock a real workout at the gym recently.  It provided adequate support as a good jock should and still felt comfortable and unobtrusive in supporting the goods.  I was totally pleased with the visual appeal and fit of this jock which says a lot for a guy who prefers the traditional trunk for everyday underwear.

In summary, with warmer weather just days ahead for most of us, if you’re looking for a new jock to add to your spring collection, you might strongly consider this manufacturer.  However, if you’re simply looking to add some sex appeal to your underwear collection, Pikante also provides a variety of additional jockstraps, thongs and several see through pieces, which is reflective of their tag line as ‘Spicy Underwear’.

NDS Wear known for their diverse line of men’s swimwear has done it again!  What a fun way to kick off a new year by sporting my first pair of new swim wear added to my collection.  This occurred earlier last week upon receiving these amazing, classic navy and yellow jammers.  I took these out for a test run in the pool at my local gym and fell in love with these sporty briefs immediately.   While I’m usually a trunk kind of guy even when it comes to swimwear, these are exceptionally well constructed and faltering to the male torso.

Whether you’re looking for swimwear for water sports, simply walking on the beach, or lying out at the pool, these have you covered on all accounts.  First, the construction and fabrics used in this sexy jammer is what I’ve come to appreciate from this manufacturer. These carry a blend of 83% Nylon and 17% Spandex.  This creates the perfect weight for ensuring these will keep their shape for seasons to come.

For me, perfect construction is a fundamental requirement of swimwear due to the relentless abuse and multi-function tasks that we require from a good pair of jammers.  These Austin Jammers have a piping yellow contrast running from upper back side to front leg side with an additional accent white piping.  Lined inside front and back and also carries an adjustable string for a tighter and secure fit.  Great ready boys, these are going to make you head to the pool early!

When the opportunity to review a new pair of bikini underwear had arrived, Extreme generated a lot of initial thoughts one of which was trepidation.  The mere word conjures up the idea of new innovation, wild and creative construction, technically advanced fabrics, and a look that’ll blow your socks off.   Therefore, I had high expectations that this faux Python skin would live up to the wild and uninhibited image that the company’s name conveys.  Once I opened the package, all my preconceived ideas went out the window and I was ready to embark on a new underwear adventure.

Let me just start by saying that these are the most comfortable and light-weight pair of bikini briefs I’ve sported in quite some time.  Their first test run included wearing at work all day and then to the gym in the afternoon.  Throughout the day, I couldn’t believe how amazingly cool and comfy this pair offered, while still providing all the needed support.  With this type of underwear you typically expect just a sexy, hot bikini and with nothing else to offer with the exception of a good lay.  However, the low-rise silhouette of this men’s Extreme bikini underwear provides a no-show waistband with a flattering contoured pouch.

This leopard-print faux snakeskin stretch bikini underwear from Extreme is construction with 93% Polyester and 7% Spandex materials.   This bikini is definitely designed like a second skin and is a seductive style that makes and unforgettable impression.  If you’re looking to release your inner animal instinct, you need to check these out.

Undz Boxer Brief

There are so many amazing underwear manufacturers coming out of Canada that I was extremely curious and excited to have an opportunity to evaluate a recent boxer brief released by Undz.Org.  Just to add some context around Undz, the company focuses on only two styles of underwear; boxers and briefs and only in solid colors.  The intent is to offer trendy, low cost, and colorful men’s underwear. They also pride themselves on the fact that they offer a 30-day return and exchange policy on items that are unworn and have the original tags attached.  Perhaps more surprisingly is the fact that all underwear is priced at $4.99!

This particular pair titled, “apple green” is offered as both a boxer and brief.   The classic boxer brief is designed to provide additional coverage around the leg and additional support around the waist by incorporating a Spandex waistband.   The materials consist of 95% cotton and 5% Spandex, which are washed again and again by the manufacturer to assure color quality and size control.

I’m not a huge fan of the apple green color, but overall it works just fine and the company name printed across the waistband adds a little stylish pop to the solid color boxer.  They do offer them in other primary colors such as light blue, black, purple and grey that work much better.   Clearly these are no nonsense underwear at their finest but for the price, you can’t beat it; especially in this economy.

I found this pair to be extremely comfortable, well-constructed and provide a high quality of materials and definitely represent practical and fashionable underwear.   I wore these all day and not once found them uncomfortable or even realized that I was wearing a boxer brief.   While I’m not overly excited about another plain boxer, I was impressed by the quality and price point.   I would encourage you to check out their website to determine for yourself.

It’s always intriguing to learn of new manufacturers who are investigating new technologies and applying them to stylish and functional new fabrics.  Having the opportunity to review my first pair of Ergowear underwear, I did a little research on the company and this specific pair—the InCopper Max Premium Boxer.  This particular line offered by Ergowear is differentiated by the antimicrobial fabric that they call InCooper.  This material was specifically developed by Ergowear and takes advantage of the latest innovation in copper antimicrobial year technology to help protect your skin against infections by microorganisms.  According to Ergowear, the powerful germicidal properties of this fabric do not decrease over time or with washing cycles.

In terms of construction and esthetics, the boxer is designed with a three-dimensional pouch with the intent of offering an exclusive shape-enhancing and yet comfortable lifting effect.   As shown in the picture, the pair comes in a thin pin stripping fabric in a flesh tone color.  In my opinion, a flesh tone color is not flattering on any skin tone regardless of body shape or size.  The pair I tested was well constructed and fit quite well with no problems to mention.   The 1 1/3” waistband offers extra support and a more athletic look.  The Ergowear logo travels across the front of the waistband and thus far, continues to keep its shape after multiple washes.

My only concern with this pair, besides the color choice, is the manufacturer’s ability to create something that is both fabric technology forward and crafting a boxer that further enhances the pouch that is successful—stick with one or the other.  These contrived attempts to create an enhancing pouch leave a lot to be desired.  It appears that every manufacturer is on the same bandwagon which unfortunately is the current trend.  Either you’re anatomically blessed or you’re not.  Gentlemen, feel comfortable in your own body and let a good pair of functional underwear speak for itself.   What’s next, two little Viagra pills with each pair?

Jake Joseph Classic Brief

From the various reviews I’ve conducted in the past several months, I’ve noticed one common denominator that runs true with every brief that I’ve tested—if the design isn’t well constructed, you’ll fail with that particular style.  I don’t know if it’s pure luck or coincidence, but it all comes down to construction.  In my humble opinion, this must be the fundamental focus when designing a brief.  Because they cover the least amount of the body of any other pair of underwear (minus thongs and jocks), it’s critical that the manufacturer hits the mark when it comes to how a pair is technically constructed.

The black pair of Jake Joseph briefs I recently tried simply failed in this area.  Don’t get me wrong, the quality of materials, which include 95% bamboo viscose and 5% spandex, nailed it when it comes to comfort. Likewise, the classic black color along with a perfected waistband that includes the signature Jake Joseph name makes for a pleasurable aesthetic.  Simply stated, I expected a better brief in this price point.

Recently, I wore these for a full day which included my regular work schedule as well as a lot of physical activity.  I was constantly pulling these back around my buttocks.  I don’t think it was a problem with an ill fitted pair for my body size.  These briefs were a size medium and I have a 31 inch waist so I’m convinced this wasn’t the root of the problem.  Perhaps it’s simply a pair that didn’t get caught during quality control inspection.  However, buyer beware if this a common problem with you as well when trying to purchase the perfect pair.   I guess you can’t win them all but I have to stay true to my convictions and assessment.

I am excited about this new pair of N2N Boot Camp Boxer Briefs!   There is not much room for improvement on any of the N2N styles I’ve worn lately and this holds true for the Boot Camp Boxer Brief.  If you compare the scoring across the N2N styles I’ve reviewed previously, you will discover that this manufacturer is consistent with quality, construction and styling.  Likewise, if you compare the overall scores with those of their counterparts, the N2N brand is quite competitive—in many cases winning out on cost per pair.

What I like most about this design is the selection of complementary color combinations. This style is great for this time of year by offering the traditional summer white color along with a baby rib fabric, consisting of a 90% cotton and 10% spandex mix, completing the overall esthetic of these sporty boxer briefs.  This style is also available in white, black and olive green.  The 1 and 1/5th inch N2N branded waistband gives this pair an additional colorful punch with the black, olive green, and burnt orange striped color combination, all of which provides the appropriate width for a traditional boxer cut.

I wore these recently to the gym and they held up well during my workout, providing the appropriate level of support and ability to keep me dry.  If boxer briefs aren’t your preference, N2N offers these in a brief and jock that you might want to check out. However, if you’re a boxer brief kind of guy who’s looking for adding color and functionality to your undie wardrobe, you might want to seriously consider this style.

Anyone who owns some form of sportswear is able to attest to the name New Balance as being one that brings with it a reputation of being a leader in the sports clothing industry.  Even I have gone through several pairs of shoes and clothing from this famous manufacturer.   I was excited about trying out their underwear and was curious if the pair I was asked to review would live up to the same standards that I’ve become accustomed to with their other line of products.

The particular pair was the hip brief which is constructed from 87% Polyester and 13% Elastane materials.  These briefs felt incredible during a rigorous workout which included 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. With the additional multi-panel construction in the pouch area, the brief provided additional support for a perfect fit while keeping me dry.  New Balance advertises their underwear with a moisture and odor control feature; however, I’m not convinced this is technically possible after numerous washes.  So far, I’ve been very pleased with quality and construction of this pair after multiple washes.

As shown in the picture, this high quality brief is constructed with a contoured New Balance signature waistband and a closed fly.  The lightweight blend and flexible materials keep the brief in place around the legs and buttocks.  The traditional style comes in the following colors: white (as shown), gray, black, blue and red.  I would consider the hip brief one of the best pair of white briefs I’ve tested in a long time and would highly recommend them to anyone.  If you’re looking for a traditional brief, or curious about their other lines which include trunks, boxer briefs, and boxer shorts, you should seriously consider giving them a try.  With the classic looks and styles we’ve come to appreciate from New Balance, you simply can’t go wrong.

You’re browsing through the underwear department at your favorite store and your eyes immediately discover an interesting looking box or package of underwear but you’re not quite convinced what’s inside.  Your curiosity gets the best of you and immediately the package is opened for further investigation.  I recently experienced something similar upon receiving the latest pair of Naked Boxer Briefs.  The mere weight and size of the boxer brief alone had me wanting to know more and eager to experience for myself.  Boy was I pleasantly surprised and for all the right reasons!

This particular style, simply called Boxer Brief Black, came with no visual surprises as they definitely looked like the traditional boxer.  This manufacturer takes it to whole new level.  These boxers consist of a seamless, fitted, no waistband design and are extremely sleek and lightweight.  The simple design is constructed from 86% Polyamide and 14% Elastane.  This Italian microfiber blend fits seamlessly to your body yet provides the proper fit and support.  With the spacious crotch and reinforced seam around the legs, there’s no need for worry.

As shown in the picture, the high quality brief has a slight sheen that looks classic, and carries a simplistic, elegant style.  This includes the brushed steal colored signature “Naked” name printed on the upper left hip.   I found these extremely light weight and incredibly comfortable throughout the entire day.  I wore these all day at work and in the gym and not once did I have to be concerned with adequate support you would often fear from wearing such a lightweight brief.   I would consider this one of the best pair of boxer briefs I’ve tested in a long time and would highly recommend them to anyone.  Don’t be surprised, however, by the extreme elasticity of this pair.   There’s no need in attempting to squeeze into a smaller size.  Stick with your traditional size and you won’t be disappointed.

There are so many amazing underwear manufacturers coming out of Australia.  I was extremely curious and excited to have an opportunity to evaluate a recent boxer brief released by SLY Underwear.  To add some context around SLY, the company focuses on three primary themes for their underwear; work, play, and rest.  The intent is to offer underwear to fit your lifestyle and therefore accommodate the needs of hard working, party loving guys that also appreciate quality and comfort.

This particular pair titled “picnic green” falls within their work category due to the construction and fit of the boxer.  The classic boxer brief is designed to help prevent the boxer from riding up and is accomplished by adding elastic around the leg.  The materials consist of a 9% cotton and 5% elastane blend along with a nylon/elastane waistband.

As shown in the picture, the print is a two toned lattice green design, which is perfect for spring.  I’ll have to say…I’m not a fan of the mint green color, which reminds me on of the linoleum tile in my grandmother’s kitchen.  Honestly, they should have taken this to a darker color as I don’t see too many guy…straight or gay…appreciating this particular shade.  Perhaps a different primary color like blue, black, or red would have worked much better.  Another feature includes a pocket on the right leg, but I fail to see the practicality of incorporating this on any underwear.  After all, how many guys do you know sport a condom or iPod on the outside of their underwear?

These are extremely comfortable, however, well-constructed and provide a high quality of materials and definitely represent high end, fashionable underwear.  I wore these all day and not once found them uncomfortable or even realized I was wearing a boxer brief.  While I’m not excited about the design, I was impressed by their website and would encourage you to check it out for their latest styles and designs as they have a lot to offer.

When I first received this jockstrap, the words that entered my mind were, ‘you’ve got to be kidding’.  However, being the open-minded person that I self-proclaim, I was open to trying the innovated design and construction that sets this manufacturer apart from their counterparts.  Based on the quality of materials and traditional style of the typical jockstrap, something convinced me that it couldn’t all be wrong.

This particular line designed by Intymen called ‘Fill It’ consists of a built in c-ring that is sown into the pouch that provides a comfortable and and yet supportive feature, which turns up the sex appeal without compromising the functionality of a jockstrap.  The exterior portion of the pouch includes two lateral slots on either side providing easy access to your goods.  As intended, this jock provides a lifting effect and enhances your overall package.

I pushed the envelope a bit and gave this jock a real workout at the gym recently.  It provided adequate support as a good jock should and still felt comfortable and unobtrusive in supporting the goods.  I guess it comes to no surprise considering that these are constructed with 92% cotton and 8% Spandex.  Likewise, the pouch is trimmed in black along with the company’s signature name across the front of the waist band.  I was totally pleased with the visual appeal and fit of this jock which says a lot for a guy who prefers the traditional trunk for everyday underwear.

Everyone has to agree that the basic staples of any wardrobe consist of at least one black & white article of clothing.  In my humble opinion, stripes play an important role in creating an interesting visual effect while adding a sense of classic styling.  With both said, Ristefsky Macheda has hit the mark with combining both of these theories into one, hot, sexy brief.

Upon first inspection, I noticed the quality of construction in the seams and waistband.  After slipping into these comfortable and well-fitting briefs, I quickly discovered that these are low-rise and sit nicely along the hips without feeling inadequate in coverage and support.  These retro inspired stripes combined with the RM logo waistband make this style really pop.

As mentioned in previous reviews, I typically don’t gravitate toward s briefs, but you can’t help to fall in love with these because they feel incredibly soft and lightweight.  The ratios of 95% cotton and 5% Elastane create the perfect balance between comfort and functionality.  After wearing these the entire day, including a gym workout, I couldn’t find one thing wrong with this pair.  The line is available in other colors including Black/White, Navy/Grey, and Red/Grey. There’s plenty of visual diversity for everyone!

When I opened the package of these Baskit Yellow Utility Boxer Briefs, I was visually surprised to see a pair of boxers in this color that I wouldn’t otherwise come close to considering.  However, this shade of yellow is actually attractive and it is supported by a dark grey waistband and trimming around the legs.  Likewise, this pair offers a pouch which is also represented in solid white and lends itself to an open fly.   While I’m not a huge fan of boxer briefs, I found this pair to be extremely comfortable and functional with the open fly which is unusual today with most briefs and trunks.

Their first test run included wearing throughout the workday while on vacation.  This included a full day of walking and hiking the coastline beaches in Southern California.  During the course of the day, I couldn’t believe the amazingly comfortableness this pair offered with a snug fit around the legs, helping to keep them in place.  The waistband, sporting the company’s logo, and the dark grey trimming around the legs is what really grants these boxers a real visual appeal.   With a blend of fabrics, which includes 95% cotton and 5% Spandex, this construction makes for a breathable and flexible pair of sexy underwear.

As shown in the picture above, the front pouch is a solid material with the repeated dark grey strip and functional fly.   The pouch is constructed with additional fabric to create a pocket and enhance your package while remaining attractive and comfortable.  It’s clear that Baskit is an expert when it comes to design, functionally, and the ability to create something new, inventive, and esthetically appealing.

If you’re like me, when it comes to underwear in general, I don’t want to be bothered with a boxer that will not stay in place and continues to ride up the leg.  Having a pair that eliminates this worry and provides something attractive for the eyes is what investing in quality underwear is all about.

In my book, 2xist has hit another home run with a new sport brief, which was recently released in their SLIQ (sleek) collection.  I’m generally not a fan of briefs but this one is not only sexy and easy on the eyes, but extremely comfortable.  You’ve got to admit sport briefs with exposed hip sections are totally hot. More importantly, 2xist has landed the construction in the fact that the 1 1/25 inch waist band stays in place and sits balanced on the hips

Even though it’s a low rise brief, I never felt like the brief was missing coverage or sacrificed comfort.  I wore these all day and give them a real workout. Perhaps one of the advantages of this brief is that they provide full rear coverage which ensures they stay in place while providing adequate support.

These are very light weight and extremely comfortable.  I wasn’t disappointed after wearing them for an entire day and not once did they fail in providing the appropriate level of support. A contributing factor to the comfort may be that they’re constructed with a blend of fabrics that consists of 90% cotton and 10% Spandex.  This keeps them both extremely soft and comfortable while also sturdy and flexible…the perfect combination.

In summary, I think 2xist has hit the mark and really delivers an affordable, sexy, and no nonsense sport brief that anyone can appreciate.  If you’re looking for a new brief with a sexy look without sacrificing quality, you should consider their new line of SLIQ! These briefs are also available in the following colors: Black (as shown), Hibiscus, Charcoal, and White.

When I received this pair of underwear to review, the first thing that caught my eye was the extremely soft and lightweight Rayon fabric used in the construction of this sexy and stylish brief.  Once again, Andrew Christian remains consistent with conduction, functionality, and fashion forward designs.

Upon further inspection, I immediately discovered the hidden ‘comfy cup’ AC refers to that is represented across many of his other styles.   The horseshoe shaped inner cup is lined by soft elastic that gently aids in lifting and supporting the family jewels.  Once you’ve experienced this unique and flattering construction for yourself, you won’t care to ever go back to the traditional brief.  I wore these while on vacation in Palm Springs and let me tell you, these kept me dry all day long in the hot desert heat and provided the comfort and support I’ve come to cherish with the AC brand.

One other valuable component to these sexy briefs is the trademark “anti-muffin” elastic waistband.  At approximately 1.75 inches (4.45 cm), it carries the signature Andrew Christian name along with sporty stripes.  The tri-color waistband, along with the contrast stitching along the leg openings and on both sides of the pouch, adds an additional sporty look to the overall design.

In summary, if you’re hot natured and sweat a lot anytime you exert even the least amount of physical activity, then these cool, lightweight, and absorbent briefs are a perfect addition to your underwear collection and come highly recommended.

In the past week, I’ve tested 3 pair of underwear from the 2xist SLIQ (sleek) collection and, unfortunately, these are my least favorite.  In reviewing any pair of underwear, I attempt to stay very subjective and open minded; however, these were a real challenge and left me somewhat disappointed.  Typically, I find 2xist to be the leader and one of the top designers when it comes to men’s fashionable underwear that I fall in love with. These briefs simply don’t fit the bill.

Overall the briefs are well constructed and consist of the typical blend of fabrics which consists of 90% cotton and 10% Spandex.  This provides adequate support, flexibility, and comfort but these unfortunately didn’t hold up during my test. To be more specific, the seam around the bottom of the leg would not keep the brief in place and I constantly had to adjust by pulling them across by ass.  This wasn’t an issue of wrong size; I have a 31” waist and these were a medium size pair.  I have to believe that they weren’t cut properly to cover the entire backside of my buttocks as it caused the fabric to pucker from the base of my leg up to the lower hip.  Sorry 2xist, but you need to take these back to the drawing board.

However, I will acknowledge the fact that these briefs are very light weight and extremely comfortable and create a very sleek esthetic.   In all other aspects, I wasn’t disappointed with how they supported my junk, which is actually one of their signature features with the SLIQ line.  Their extreme contoured pouch offers more support and an enhanced natural profile.

In summary, I think 2xist may have to rethink their design or it could have simply been a case of a defective pair. I would have expected this to be discovered during inspection. I’m not suggesting that you totally disregard this brief but it might be something you look out for when testing out their new SLIQ line.  These briefs are available in the following colors:  Black (as shown), Sangria, Charcoal, and White.

The title of these N2N pair of briefs brings a whole new meaning to the word, Twilight.   I have several N2N pair of underwear in an array of styles/colors and I’ll have to say that thus far, this is my overall favorite pair.  I love the sexy black color with light grey and yellow stripping that’s incorporated into the waistband.  Give time, I suspect these briefs could gain equal share of recognition and popularity as the movie with the same title.

I wore these outdoors all day during a photo shoot and they held up extremely well in the heat and felt comfortable throughout the day.  Perhaps these are conducive to warmer weather due to the fact that they are constructed with a blend of 90% cotton and 10% Spandex.  Similar to a jock waistband, these fundamentally create extra freedom and provide a breathable fabric that makes them cooler than you traditional pair of bikini briefs.  The baby ribbed material provides an extra sporty and textured look that gives their silhouette color an extra added visual punch (also available in heather, and white).

My hope is that these will hold up after multiple wares and washes. Like many high end designers, a slightly higher percentage of man-made material (i.e. Lycra, Spandex) or quality cotton could further their life expectancy and go a long way with an even more polished and finished look.

When I first received these pair of underwear to review, the first thing that caught my eye was the extremely soft and lightweight Rayon fabric used in the construction of this sexy and stylish brief.  Again, Andrew Christian sticks with his esthetic by remaining consistent with the conduction, functionality and fashion forward designs.

Upon further inspection, I immediately discovered the hidden ‘comfy cup’ as AC likes to refer to and is represented across many of his other styles.   The horseshoe shaped inner cup is lined by soft elastic that gently aids in a lifting and supporting the family jewels.

One other valuable component to these sexy briefs is the trademark, ‘anti-muffin’ elastic waistband, which is approximately 1 ¾ inches and carries the signature Andrew Christian name with sporty stripes around the waist.  This tri-color waistband with contrast stitching along the bottom of the leg and vertical on both sides of the pouch adds an additional sporty look to the overall design.

In summary, if you’re hot natured and sweat a lot anytime you exert even the least amount of physical activity then these cool, lightweight and absorbent briefs are perfect to your underwear collection and come highly recommended.

The retro gym short made by Andrew Christian will leave much to the imagination whether you are running, walking, or working out at the gym.  These are the equivalent to the traditional ‘daisy dukes’.  While these sporty shorts are made out of 100% fast dry moisture wicking polyester sports mesh, which provides a cool masculine look in my humble opinion, they are too short to be taken seriously.  Okay, I totally get the retro style that AC is trying to achieve but honestly, there’s a fine line between looking like a caricature from the movie Bruno and looking masculine.

My first tryout with this sassy pair included wearing the silver/black shorts while outdoors.  The cut is too tight, short, and honestly, look like girl shorts.  In an effort to remain fair and subjective, there are a few things I do like about this style.  First, the white drawstring is located inside the shorts…a real positive for me.  Traditionally drawstrings outside of some shorts are a bit bulky when tied and can be plain distracting at times.  Secondly, the black seam along the side and bottom of the shorts give them a nice contrasting and finished look.

This particular style of Andrew Christian retro shorts comes in light blue/burgundy, navy/kelly, black/gold, and silver/black.  You’ll find the small Andrew Christian woven red and white signature cross logo located in the front left of the shorts.

When I am in the gym, my workouts are serious, tough, and inventive.  I need active fitness wear that is comfortable, non-restrictive, and endurable.  I put Andrew Christians’ Varsity Laurel training shorts to the challenge.

As shown in the picture above, the fabric is sporty, classy, and the white outside trim is enhanced by creative black stitching.  The PHYS ED + 7 Varsity signature adds a unique style to the overall appearance of the training short.  The fit was loose and very comfortable.  I didn’t feel myself sliding when sitting on the exercise equipment.  The smooth jersey material, along with the cool feeling it creates, makes this training short a must for fitness enthusiasts.

Although I prefer an internal drawstring or none at all, the white external shoe lace look gives it an overall finished fitted appearance.  Likewise, the 2 ½ inch gathered waistband adds additional support around the hips. This particular style of Andrew Christian training short comes in white, silver, black, and navy.

For all the Andrew Christian fans out there that appreciate the construction and quality materials in this designer’s clothing, you’re going to really appreciate this mesh tank top.  I think those of us who are diehard AC fans can agree that Andrew is very self-conscious and consistent in areas that permeate across his entire collection.

It’s amazing how a simple and classic fabric like 100% polyester mesh can become a classic material, standing the test of time from both a functionality and stylish perspective.  Perhaps this is what makes the AC 2010 collection so effective as you’ll see mesh used in various categories including tanks, v-neck shirts, shorts, and underwear.  This is clearly a testimate to Andrew’s ability to use simple but classic materials to deliver new concepts and original designs without compromising fashion.

There really isn’t much to say about this tank other than it performs as designed, which is to provide a moisture wicking tank that can handle any rigid and aggressive workout.  From a fashion perspective, this tank is the perfect example of the phrase, “Less is more.”  A simple tank with the signature AC cross and traditional trimming in contrasting fabric around the neck and arms is something we can all appreciate in its simplicity.

The cross mesh tank is also available in silver/black.

I’m on a role with our N2N underwear reviews, which leaves me hungry for more!   There’s not much room for improvement on any of the styles I’ve worn lately and this holds true for this style as well.  If you compare the scoring across the N2N brands I’ve reviewed recently, you’ll discover that this manufacturer is consistent with both quality construction and styling.  Likewise, if you compare the overall scores with those of their counterparts, the N2N brand is very competitive and, in many cases, wins out on cost per pair.

What I like most about this pair is its bright red color.  These are great for this time of year.  They offer the traditional summer colors along with a baby rib fabric consisting of 90% cotton and 10% spandex, completing the overall esthetic of these sporty briefs.  The 1 1/2“ N2N branded waistband gives this pair an additional colorful punch and appropriate width for a traditional brief cut.

I wore these recently to the gym and they held up great during my workout.  They provided the appropriate level of support and had the ability to keep me dry.  This style is also available in light blue with the same waistband.  If briefs aren’t your preference, N2N offers these in a trunk that you might want to look into.  If you’re a brief kind of guy, however, who’s looking for adding color and functionality to your undie wardrobe, you might want to seriously consider this style.
