I hope you guys got a chance to listen to the podcast about Community Building, if not go check it out! It was a really great show that I plan on building on. It really got me thinking lately. Over the last few months, I have had a difficult time during the pandemic. My motivation and innovation have been in the dumps. One thing that really had brought me out of it is the podcast. A rambling show that I thought would be fun to do with my friends has turned out to be a much-needed outlet for many guys out there.

I was having a conversation in DM’s today about the show. It was someone who I really wanted to get on the show (and who agreed!!!). That when you think about it, the UNB podcast may seem like a silly concept to the larger society. They think, “Do we really need a podcast about men’s underwear?” The short answer is yes. The feedback we have received has shown us that is overdue.

The one thing I love best about the show is getting new guys I have never talked to on the show. Just a regular guy who loves underwear. Every Brief Tale we post has something that connects with a few of our listeners. Plus, a lot of these guys I have become friends with after. This is making me more comfortable sharing my own story and who I am. The blog I ran professionally and was all about the men’s underwear industry and not much on me. Well, times change and now it’s about connecting with people on a personal level.

At times, I don’t know what to put on the blog. I still love sharing new gear and things going on, but I”m trying to add more of who I am into the blog. I feel like I’m running in 20 different directions at once! But now I’m working on more and more.

The second reason I am writing this post is that I want you guys who sit back and listen to the podcast to step up and come on the show and share your story. You may be sitting there going, “No one wants to hear my story, and I’m not really somebody with a massive following.” Some of my best brief talks are with guys who are themselves and share their love and “origin” story. It’s surprising how many guys will see themselves in you. Lastly, it will show guys’ undies are amazing and there is no stigma to loving great undies.

I have been debating doing an AMA on the blog. You guys send in questions for me and I’ll post the answer and also do a podcast as well.
