Our UNB Brief Talk Podcast has been so much fun to do lately. We have two different shows about to be three. The first is the round table talk where we pick a topic, and our panel of awesome undies guys chats about it; if you are a Patreon member, you get to hear our off the wall pre and post-show. You never know what we will talk about in this part of the show.

The more audience participation is with our Brief Tale podcasts. We have sone these for years on the site, but they have been written. Now we are interviewing guys to share how they discovered their love of underwear/swimwear/gear. It is a guys origin stories (yeah kind of like a superheroes origin story) It’s a simple interview, and we ask all the guys the same questions, and sometimes we will throw in an additional depending on the guy and the conversation.

The questions are:

  • Tell our readers about you:
  • When did you first discover underwear?
  • What was the first pair of good underwear you bought? What made you buy that pair?
  • How did this first pair influence your journey into the world of men’s underwear?
  • What are your current favorite styles? What style do you wear most?
  • What are some of your favorite pairs in your underwear drawer?
  • Are you open to friends or partners about your love of underwear? If you have a partner, do they encourage your love of underwear?
  • Has wearing great underwear boosted your confidence
  • Where can our readers find you on social media?

These shows typically take about 30 minutes to record. We do them over Skype and Zoom. Although, I’m currently looking into MS Teams as well. After editing, these shows are put out to our Patreon members about once a week, sometimes more. Then we put out the Brief Talks to the general public 2-3 at time. We have released two volumes of them.

Want to Participate?

We are looking for guys who are gay, bi, or straight, any ethnicity, nationality, or country. Any size (from muscle guy to bear and everything in between), to come on the show and share about their love of underwear.

We welcome guys outside the US! The only thing is time zones are hard for me. We will have to find out when it is best for both of us, but don’t worry, we can make it happen! It’s only a minor inconvenience.

Just come on the show and be open and honest, share what you love! Don’t worry; we don’t have to use your real name. We can use a pseudonym.

Support us/Why Patreon?

We have gone back to Patreon because podcasting is free to the listener, but it’s not free to UNB to produce. Costs that go into a podcast are equipment (computers, mics, and softwear), hosting fees for the podcast, and paying for talent. That could be getting our guys better mics or even paying them.

The business model for UNB has changed over the year, and we are going after a crowdfunded model. I’m not going into the boring changes, but if we had every guy who reads the blog or listens to the podcast to donate $1 a month, we would be set.

Two things that will be coming up soon is more hosting space. We will be posting more podcasts. Second is new equipment. Our guys need mics so we can have better sound quality. I’m also looking at a more inclusive podcast editor, so everything can be done in one app and not three right now.

If you guys like what you hear and want to keep hearing the podcast, consider joining our Patreon. You may not think your $1 donation will make a difference, but every dollar counts. I sound like PBS pledge week. However, I know with COVID-19 times are tight, and you may just be getting by; in that case, just share out podcasts on social media so more guys can find us and listen.
