In the last few years the main style of most men have been a boxer brief. They have hit mainstream stores and the majority of guys wear them on a daily basis. This has shifted from the boxer trend of the 2000’s. So underwear is getting more form fitting. Comfort along with style have become two factors for guys in buying underwear.

The collections we have released have been a mix of briefs and boxer briefs. But, it seems guys are branching out and trying new things. On our holiday shoot two of the models Chandler and MIchael were the guys were were talking about. They never really wore briefs but after Chandler told me he can’t believe how great they feel.

I think more guys are starting to branch out and try new things. No longer is it expected that you have to wear boxers. More guys including straight guys are paying attention to what they wear. They spend big money on their jeans, shirts and pants. Why wear some six pack underwear you buy at a big box store. The underwear you wear should match the rest of your clothes.

So are briefs making a come back? I say yes to this because more brands are making them. In the 2000’s it was pretty hard to find briefs. Companies like Calvin Klein, 2(X)ist, Cocksox and C-IN2 all had briefs in their line up. Other brands like Junk UnderJeans started with pretty much all trunks and now have a full line of briefs. It’s become pretty standard in their yearly catalog.

We are no where near briefs being the main style of underwear guys wear but the days of all boxer briefs all the time are coming to an end. I say by 2017 briefs will out number boxer briefs in men’s underwear? Will I be right? Maybe not but I think it’s safe to say it will grow to be close to 50%.
