Over the last year has been a journey for me. It’s been one of loosing weight, figuring out the future of UNB and trying to grow up and decide what I want to do with my life! Well the first one, CHECK, the second one CHECK the third, well let’s talk undies.
The one thing that has been a constant is that we all want to feel sexy in our undies, Whether we are gay, straight, skinny, stocky, average, above average (no matter which way you take it). I know the world of men’s underwear if filled with models with six packs and perfect hair, but from the marketer in me (which is my day job), we all want to aspire to be the guy in the ad. We want to think we look just as hot as he does in the undies. As we have reported many times there is a movement to have more “real guys” in ads and we are starting to see it.
I have been posting some self pics in undies on m UNB Twitter (@unbtim) and have had fun doing it. Now I’m a bigger guy, at 6’4” and about 235ish, it’s been a little nerve racking to put pics out there. You always want a good reaction, and so far it’s been great. It’s sharing a big part of me to our readers!
I hear you saying ok Tim we got that but whats the purpose of this post? The purpose is no matter what, very few of us look like the model in the pictures. That shouldn’t stop us from wearing what we like. We need to stop listening to others and ourselves talk us out of wearing what we want. Whether it is a thong, bikini, jock or what ever.
I say tis the season to spread joy, lets let it start with us. Go to your favorite store and buy a pair that you think is super sexy and wear it proud. Now you don’t have to share it with the world or on Twitter, but share it with someone special. And don’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise!
