It appears Australian men are having a crisis in the bedroom – more specifically in their underwear drawer.

In a survey* by popular Australian underwear brand, MensFit released today, one in three guys admitted to having underwear in his drawer not fit to see the light of day. Whether due to laziness, the belief that no one will notice or the time constraints and embarrassment associated with going underwear shopping, it seems a significant amount of Aussie men aren’t replacing their dodgy jocks.

According to the survey results from female respondents, there are quite likely more offenders in the remaining two thirds that wouldn’t own up or were unaware of how much their jocks need replacing – two thirds of female respondents declaring that their partner has underwear that needs to go!

It appears for some women, trying to motivate their man to go underwear shopping remains a losing battle – although 92% of men claimed only they purchased their underwear, 64% of female respondents stated that it was in fact them who purchased their man’s jocks.

Single men don’t get away unnoticed either, with two thirds of women (60%) stating that they have been turned off a guy because of the state of his underwear.

So gentlemen, take note! Just because they’re not seen in public doesn’t mean that your dodgy jocks will go unnoticed.

Fortunately for the busy modern man, MensFit’s range of stylish underwear is now available online, so they can browse in their own time from the comfort of home and have new undies conveniently delivered right to the front door. Using advanced fabrics that ensure comfort and support while mirroring current trends in menswear, MensFit keeps Aussie guys looking just as good in their underwear as they do fully dressed.

Also hinted at by the survey results, is the declining popularity of the classic tightey whitey with 85% of men stating that they prefer coloured underwear over plain white and 77% of women stating that they prefer their men in the same. Reflective of this trend, the MensFit range features boxers, briefs, trunks and hipsters in over 30 different colours and patterns.

Priced from $15.99 – $32.99, the complete MensFit range is available exclusively from www.mensfit.com.au.

*The survey was conducted through www.surveymonkey.net. Results were based on data from gathered from 104 male and 84 female respondents.
