try-something-newI was talking on Twitter (if you’re on Twitter follow me @unbtim) and talking to someone who loves briefs/bikinis and he is doing a month long challenge to wear Boxer briefs. His challenger is doing the reverse boxer briefs to bikinis! Speaking from experience as a briefs guy, having to wear Boxer Briefs for for a week would drive me nuts. I do have boxer briefs, like Mundo Unico, Trunks from N2N, ones with great pouches. So I’m not totally anti-boxer brief, but doing it for a month would be a bit much for me.

Now I”m not saying to try something for an entire month. I reward the conviction for trying something new for a month, but I say start small. Some things you might consider trying that you have never worn before. The prime example of this is Jon on our site asked me for a thong to try. He has never worn one and wants to try out a good one. We will be getting him one to try and review soon. It makes me wonder if he will wear to the gym?

My biggest challenge was when I had to review a boxer for Hamilton & Hare. I knew no one on the site would want to do it. I would picture me asking the guys and have silence and nothing but crickets in the background. So I took one for the team. I hadn’t worn boxers in prob 15 years or more. And then it was a rare occurrence. I think I could count on one hand how many times I wore them under pants. After trying those they were pretty good. I but I won’t say i wear them all the time but I have lounged around in them many times.

If you’re up for trying something on the wild side we have a brands we can recommend:

  • Gregg Homme – It’s pricy but extremely well made and will last. It’s sexy underwear made to wear all day from thongs to sheer!
  • Cellblock13 – It’s a fun fetish line from Timoteo and will bring your wild side out. Find Jocks, jock briefs and Jock Boxers
  • N2N Bodywear – Has amazing pouches and plenty of thongs, jocks and more that are made to show off your goods
  • Modus Vivendi – Taking their Greek Heritage and making really fun and different underwear, if you want fun and funky this is for you
  • PetitQ – This is for the bold guy who says what the hell, just let it all hang out! Made super small and leaves little to the imagination

Say you’re a guy who has the wild part covered and want to try something with a classic cut:

  • Baskit – Makes great classic underwear that fits amazing in many different styles from boxer briefs to jocks.
  • Mack Wheldon – They focus on briefs and boxer briefs currently with great materials.
  • 2(X)ist – A classic underwear company that has some really strong core basics in their line up that you won’t be disappointed you bought
  • C-IN2 – Another classic company that has never had great fun undies but also super classic you can wear anywhere.

The wild brands are easier to come up with then Classic. Plus I think more guys would go from classic to wild!

This year we are going to challenge you guys to step out of your box and try new things.

winter-underwearHere in Atlanta its in the 20’s and freakin’ cold. I know some of you around the world are saying, WTF is that all? Well for Atlanta it’s cold. It got me thinking of what undies I wear when it’s cool. I’m a total briefs guy. As many long time readers know. But when it’s cold I change from my usual pair and go for boxer briefs and more.

I’m not sure how many other guys change their preference due to weather. Its the only time i switch from my go to briefs to anything else. So I thought I would share a few pairs that I wear when it gets cold

13300924-83-04
Mundo Unico – I love the nylon boxer briefs. They keep me warm and give me great support and an amazing pouch. Of all the boxer briefs, Unico makes my favorite ones. The Mid Boxer pulsar (133000825-83) is one my current favorites. You maybe asking about the cotton spandex, for me personally, they don’t keep the heat in for me.
CF3-12-A
N2N Bodywear – Last year they released a great collection called Camp Fire. It’s N2N Bodywear spin on flanel underwear. It’s made with a great fit and you can get the one to the knee or longer. I Love these because they are super warm. You can wear something under them or just by themselves. I usually put on a signature boxer under them for a little extra support.
42b
Runners (no specific brand) – When its really cold, I wear runners. I am not a fan of traditional long johns. To me they have way too much bulk and have no support what so ever. So about 10 years ago It was super cold and when picking out my underwear for the day I saw the runners, and though if it’s good enough for guys to wear running with nothing over them, then it was good to wear under clothes. They fit great under jeans and you can’t really tell you are wearing anything else. They do a great job keeping you warm as well. Rufskin, N2N, Timoteo (pictured) all have runners, so you can go full on fashion and bright colors/patterns or go with traditional black/Navy

This year i want to try more of the traditional long johns that have come out from N2N, Timoteo, Frank Dandy and Cocksox. Each of them have launched a rebirth to the long john area. I think its’ just the start of more and fun long johns. Going forward it will be important for all guys to have warm and fashionable underwear.

I’m curious what you guys wear in the winter, post your favorites below or let us know!

well-endowed-gift

Finding underwear for the guy in our life can be a challenge. Each guy is different but having to find a great pouch for them can make it even harder. Speaking from experience there are a few brands I think you should look at that would make great gifts. I have come up with a list and one of our great readers added to this, Andy. It’s great to hear what undies guys love

Several of these are my personal favorites. Just the pouches in each one gives you amazing support. Nothing worse then having no support and having things not stay in place! Read below for our choices:

unb-holiday

’Tis the season…and all that jazz.  The holiday season is in full swing.  Did you take advantage of the great Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on underwear?  Well even if you didn’t, there’s still time to get new underwear before we hit 2014.   So in the spirit of the holidays, our staff has picked their favorite pairs that put them in the holiday spirit.

We teamed up a few months ago with Dead Good Undies to bring you what’s hot in the UK. It’s been a lot of fun to work with them and expose you guys to some new brands. We now are going to do that for the US. Men’s Underwear Store is teaming up with us to give us a monthly report of some great undies right here. This is the first installment and we look forward to working with them!

5184-1

Clever Belice Latin Brief: These are my personal favorites. Clever’s designs are the epitome of Latin flavor. The cotton on these briefs is super soft and stretchy, but still supportive. I like briefs that sit higher on my hips, and these do just that. Two color options here, both in figure-flattering stripes: a bolder teal or the easy grey-blue.

C-in2-dip-dye

C-IN2 Dip-dye: We’re loving the colors of this collection. As always, C-IN2 uses the same sexy-but-sporty styles but brings in high-style with the color gradients. Dip-dye styles in clothing (whatever style in whichever market) can either go totally right or completely awry, but C-IN2 hits the mark on this one. We actually have these as our window display in our storefront – both the underwear and the shirts in the purple-green shades.

obvioiusly

Obviously NAKED collection: The fundamental difference between Obviously’s basics and the Obviously Naked collection is the pouch – whereas the basics have a cupped pouch, the Naked collection has a contour pouch that sits slightly longer and gives incredible support. We were one of the first and are one of the only ones to carry the Naked collection.

armani-brief

Emporio Armani Stretch Cotton Basics: These are one of our top-five sellers from Emporio Armani. EA is known for its high-quality garments, and these are a prime example. They’re also great for guys who want to get some color in their lives while sticking to neutrals or calm colors as their staples.

diesel-underwear

Diesel Platinum Microfiber Divine Trunk: Diesel is always a crowd favorite, and these are no different. We used these (in red) on a model as the featured image for our fall collection. They’re cool, stretchy microfiber trunks with a modern graphic waistband – rich basics turned up a notch, essentially.

n2n-performance-brief

N2N Bodywear Performance X Brief: The mesh micropoly fabric on these gives them a sporty-meets-modern look and texture. N2N’s Performance X collection gives you an extra shapely boost in the front (with the cupped pouch) and in the back. Again, these are updated sporty basics, but the black and cerulean-striped waistband with the brand’s logo gives these a pop of color (that’s almost a little retro!)

Find these great styles at Men’s Underwear Store!

endowed brief

There is nothing worse then buying a great new pair of underwear, then getting them home and finding out they don’t fit like the picture on the box. If you are above average in the front or back you know the pain of choosing new underwear. Being one of those guys who’s on the endowed size, I can’t tell you how many times this has happened to me. Pouch size is probably the most important thing to me in underwear.

A few weeks ago we were asked by a reader to talk about pouch sizes in underwear. So I took on this challenge and bought a few new pairs to try and also some classics that are in my underwear drawer that never disappoint. Let’s talk about if you’re an endowed guy what to look for in underwear: First you need a defined pouch, very few flat front pairs actually conform to your body and give you the support you need. Second, I have found it’s best to have a spandex or modal blend that stretches, no two guys are built the same and a material that fits you like a glove is important. Lastly, you don’t have to buy large name brands to get great undies, while many fit great some smaller brands (like in this post) are often great alternatives. Many of the smaller brands can make pairs that cater to endowed in the front or back.

For this post I’m going to focus on briefs. I have found that briefs give me way more support than boxers briefs or trunks. Granted there a few trunks/boxer briefs I like but I think briefs just fit better. They are pretty much my go to style for daily wear.

So now you’re asking, “which pairs have great pouches for endowed guys?” Well the brands we are focusing on are Ergowear, Cocksox, John Sievers, Andrew Christian, N2N Bodywear and Bodyaware. These are all brands I have worn and can say have an amazing pouch that should hold your manhood. This post will be sort of 6 mini reviews of the brands either love or tried out for this post

Each of these brands I have personally tried out and recommend any of them. They are really amazing and if you’re endowed like me then you should give them a try. I know this is not all bands so let me know who you like.

erogowear-x3d-brief

ERGOWEAR – X3D Brief
Erogwear was one of the very first “anatomically” designed underwear brands that I tried. I had my doubts but they truly are made for guys who are endowed. They have been on the market for about 10 years. When I put them on I was in heaven, the pair I had been waiting on for years. This was the first company I came across that really paid attention to how a guy is made and then designed underwear.  The pair I have found to be the best is the X3D Brief. The brief is a flyless pouch brief made with the 3 dimensional X3D pouch design. This is one of my favorite pouches and I have a pair. It really fits great and gives you great support.

Its a coincidence that I am actually wearing this pair as I write the review.

cx01N_cloud9whiteCOCKSOX – CX01 Bikini
In 2007 I remember seeing Cocksox for the first time. The briefs were super hot to me. A bikini cut with an amazing pouch. I knew right then I needed to try this brand. It was another year before I got the chance. One of the original pairs is the CX01 Bikini. The first pair I tried was a little too big but when I got my next pair, I knew I was in love with the brands.

I call Cocksox the Wonderbra of men’s underwear, because it takes what you have and pushes it up and out. A few years ago I was going to wear the Pink CX01 to a job interview and when I looked down it was not a professional look. It looked like I stuffed a baseball down the front of my pants. I know this may not be a draw back for some guys but keep that in mind!

UN52-13-FullN2N BODYWEAR – Signature Brief

N2N Signature Brief has had a few refreshes over the year. Each time they keep the basic style and make it in different color combinations. The current colors are Navy/Red. This I will say has been my favorite. I say this because Andrew at N2N really pays attention to how a his underwear will fit a guy and enhance what he has! The example of this is the red panels on this iteration are on the side of the pouch and draws your eyes to the pouch.

Speaking of pouch, this pouch doesn’t have super stretchy material but is designed to give you amazing support. To tell you how amazing I even like the trunks in these. They have come up with a pouch design that just fits you naturally. It’s not described as ergonomic but it should!

john-sievers-california-gold
JOHN SIEVERS – California Gold Collection

This is a brand that really surprised me. It was a little known brand to me until a previous staff member told me about them. I bought a pair and I will admit I was impressed with the job they did. For those of you who don’t know, John Sievers is a brand exclusively at International Jock. It has been around a few years but I never gave it a thought. Well, as they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover. After I bought them I loved how they fit me and gave me a natural support. Unlike Cocksox this one doesn’t put everything on display but lets you hang naturally. Granted there’s nothing wrong with putting on display, which I don’t mind doing but sometimes you need great support and go under the radar.

ANDREW CHRISTIAN – Trophy Boy Icon Briefs

Andrew Christian is no stranger to designing ergonomically designed underwear. The first pair I recall he did was the Almost naked line. It, I will say, has been a great line for endowed guys. A lot of our refers and some of my friends rave on the Almost Naked line, heck even I do! I have a few pairs. However, thats now the pair we have for you, the Trophy Boy is one made for endowed guys. It’s been marketed as that and has a much bigger pouch than the Almost Naked line. The AC site says it better then I could ” Trophy Boy Icon Brief was made for the well endowed man who wants to show it off and be comfortable at the same time!” This is true you do show off but still feel super comfy.

Andrew Christian really paid attention to the endowed guys for this pair.

body-aware-well-endowed-briefBodyAware – Well-endowed Brief

This brief is advertised as a brief for the Well-Endowed guy. So I couldn’t pass up trying this out for the post. On a side note when we posted our Style Brief on Facebook they removed it for violating their Terms of Service, so this brief is too hot for Facebook. This pair is based on their popular Italian Shaper Brief. They have modified it to fit guys who need extra room. The one thing you need to know about this brief is its a bikini cut and very low cut. When I first put them on I realized it fits just above the top of your junk. If you aren’t a fan of really low cut bikinis you may not like it. Next the material is semi sheer. The navy pair i ordered wasn’t visibly noticeable unless you looked really hard.

The pair did well on daily wear. It fit great and was a lot of fun to wear to work.

  • Pouch – 9

More companies are creating underwear who need extra room in the front or back. Its showing they are catering to their customers and realize we guys are not created the same. We have specific needs in undies. I think we will see more customization going forward!

I want to hear what brands you have found are awesome for an endowed guy. Leave a comment, tweet us or email us your favorites.

By Andrew – N2N Bodywear

For me, it’s always been about comfort, style  and of course FIT!

Ok, and the pouch! Anyone who knows me and N2N for the past 16 years knows I’ve never shied away from showcasing the male package. From an early age I was always curious and slightly annoyed at the need for mens fashion, specifically underwear and swimwear, to camouflage and essentially squish men’s genitalia. Even before N2N was conjured up, I created swimwear for myself that satisfied my own desires…a sexy suit with a good pouch!. Flash forward, the N2N of today has come a long way from when I was affectionately known as the “thong guy”.

Besides all that, I think the fact that for the past 16 years, N2N has been made in Los Angeles, CA is pretty unique, especially now when MOST companies outsource.  In the world of mens underwear, It’s nice to be in the minority!
We support the local economy and proud to be U.S MADE!

“Grown in LA” baby… Always have been, always will!

unb-staff-picks-thongsWho says men can’t or shouldn’t wear thong underwear?  Not us.  In today’s trendy underwear world, more and more guys are experimenting with thong underwear.  Whether it’s for comfort, to hide lines in tight clothing, or just to try out out something new, the stigma of a man wearing a thong has gone by the wayside.  Here are a few of our staff favorites.  What’s yours?

 X1702-00101 Alex

2(x)ist Sliq Y-back Thong – I don’t always wear thongs, but when I do I wear the 2xist Y-back thong. The masculine combination of the jockstrap and the thong mixed with the soft fabric creates the perfect thong. It is comfortable enough for all day wear without being super distracting.

 PX2-12-A Joe

Picked N2N thongs as his favorite. – I am a big fan of the n2nthongs. Their pouches are well shaped and fit great. I like a nice thick waistband too so it stays put! Plus the fabric is sporty but sexy.

X1002-10001 John

Also picked a thong from 2(x)ist – the Essential Thong. – I will be the first to admit that I haven’t always been a fan of thongs, but I think a lot of guys have a pre-conceived notion around the idea of wearing a thong. To that I say… GET OVER IT!  I have been wearing thongs pretty regularly for the last couple of years.  I can say that their is certainly a time and a place to wear them, and it doesn’t include the gym! They really can be comfortable and can make you feel pretty sexy as well.

My favorite thong is from 2(x)ist. It is their Essential Thong. I have it both Black and White and it looks amazing in both colors. What I like about this thong is that it has a “Y” back to it. I have a few “Y” back thongs and it really is a style that I prefer when I buy a thong.  For me it helps eliminate the “wedgie” feeling that most guys don’t like about wearing them. the fabric is awesome and the pouch fits amazing! I also like the fact that the “thong” piece isn’t real thick and it is rolled cotton which makes it soft and doesn’t make it feel like you have a big bunch of fabric riding up your bum.

thong03black1_2 Tim M.

Picked the Joe Snyder thong. –  I love the Joe Snyder thong.  True to form, it has an ergonomically designed pouch that lifts you.  And the spandex lycra blend is a super sexy fabric that will make any guy feel hot.   And for those adventurous guys it can even double as a bathing suit.

Head on over to Los Angeles-based International Jock where every brand that’s “Made in America” is 25% off during the first week of July. With Independence Day upon us, International Jock suggests it’s time to take a peek at exactly where “American” underwear is coming from. Most underwear and swimwear isn’t born on U.S. soil. Nearly 98% of the clothes sold in the States are made overseas. With so much fashion created outside America, International Jock’s “Made in USA” sale makes it easier than ever to support those companies who have stayed loyal to the USA.

International Jock carries brands from all over the world and has always made it a point to seek out and support American manufacturers. The company carries an extensive line of fashion brands made exclusively in America and has seen a growing customer demand for American goods. Hot-selling “Made in USA” brands like Go Softwear, Pistol Pete, N2N, Sauvage Swimwear, and LA Sporting Club are just a few of the trendy designers that are currently burning up the charts at International Jock.

internationaljock4 internationaljock6 internationaljock5

In a competitive retail environment where it can be financially enticing to move garment production out of the country, these brands have chosen to keep their manufacturing stateside despite various challenges. Greg Olvera, the president of Go Softwear, says that his company has been designing and manufacturing their clothing in downtown Los Angeles since 1996. “Manufacturing in the USA has its challenges, one being higher labor and material cost,” he says. “However, the benefits are better quality control, quick reaction time, minimal barriers, exclusivity, and most importantly, keeping jobs in the USA. And our customers love it!”

Not only does American production result in better quality assurance, but it is also great for the economy. Mike McGinley, CEO of LA Sporting Club, addresses the advantages of keeping clothing manufacturing in the U.S.: “Besides the immediate benefit that local workers receive with their paycheck, this income gets put back into the U.S. economy by giving them money to spend at local restaurants and stores.”

In addition to helping the economy and expanding U.S. exports (International Jock ships these brands all over the world), making garments in the same country where people buy them gives designers the upper hand in meeting consumers’ needs. McGinley explains, “If our customer wants a lime green swimsuit, chances are it isn’t being made by the thousands overseas. We, however, can fill that niche with our smaller, more unique production runs. LASC owners, managers and employees are tapped into the mainstream market and know what is happening in style trends in Europe and in the metro U.S. markets even before the average consumer knows what to expect in the coming seasons.”

While many clothing designers are American born and raised, others arrived in America and have remained faithful ever since. Sami Tarrab, the president of Pistol Pete, moved to the States with his family to pursue a better life. When it comes to why designers choose the patriotic route and stick to manufacturing on American soil, perhaps Tarrab says it best:

“We are at a price disadvantage when competing for stores and shelf space with brands made in China, India, or other countries. But producing in the USA affords us so much more: the ability to develop strong relationships with our contractors and attain amazing production turnaround, all while respecting the dignity of those we employ and caring for our environment.”

So, how does the future look for American clothing manufacturing? “Garment work is coming back to the U.S., as manufacturers realize that costs associated with shipping from overseas are increasing,” says Simon Southwood, the Vice-President of Sauvage Swimwear. “And, the public is more aware, and given the choice, will buy American.” International Jock has made that choice easier and more affordable than ever by lowering the prices on all of their American brands and identifying them with prominent “Made in USA” logos.

When pulling on their favorite pair of briefs, American men need to remember that those undies support more than what’s between their legs.

PM4-13-Full

N2N is a brand that prides itself on creating underwear that will make any man feel special.  From unique styles to body hugging fabrics, their underwear always makes a statement.  I have loved them since I got my first pair 7 or 8 years ago.  So it was a no-brainer for me when I was asked to review the N2N Power Mesh Brief.

When I put on new underwear, the first thing I do is go take a look in the mirror.  If I don’t think something looks good on me, no matter how comfortable and regardless of whether anyone else will see me in them, I’ll never wear them.  Of course, I knew I would love how the Power Mesh Brief looked.  From the waistband that is emblazoned with the N2N logo to the profile accentuating pouch, this brief does everything it can to make you look like you stepped out of an underwear catalog.

The day that I wore this brief was particularly long for me.  8 hours at the office followed by a few errands and then an hour and a half dance class.  This brief does an exceptional job of keeping everything exactly where it is supposed to be.  The pouch is defined by a horizontal seam underneath that lifts and pushes the pouch forward, so there’s no feeling of being squished flat.   Guys are supposed to have a bulge in their pants; this brief makes sure that you do.   As I said, I took a chance and wore them while I took a dance class that evening.  Usually I wear something a little tighter for class so that nothing moves around.  But that trend may have come to an end.  The construction of the pouch kept everything in place, and the mesh fabric did a great job of keeping me cool.

I received this brief in a size medium, which perfectly fit my 31” waist.  N2N sizing is dead on for US sizing.   The brief is a mesh fabric that is 76% micro polyester 24% spandex, and is available in black and white, both with the red waistband.  This super stretchy combo creates a second skin, so all you shy guys out there beware.  If you happen to change clothes at the gym wearing these, nothing will be left to the imagination.

This jock was provided by N2N and is available at http://n2nbodywear for $29.00.

It’s almost assured that if you’re reading this, you know all about the Jockstrap-how it’s typically made, what it’s basic purpose is, etc. For those that may not, a jockstrap is an undergarment that both covers and supports the male package while simultaneously leaving your behind exposed to the world, or the backside of your shorts and pants. The long story on Jockstraps is that they were invented by a guy who started Bike and the brand’s jockstraps are made very similar to how they were made over 100 years ago. We’ve come a long way since then, and thank heavens for that.

For those of you that haven’t read my evolution into the world of men’s designer underwear, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I have to evolve when it came to the typical understanding of what a jockstrap is good for. It wasn’t until I got into underwear in the first place that I decided to purchase my first jockstrap. I was doing rigorous circuit training and my trunks just weren’t cutting it in the support department. I opted for the traditional and safe Papi 3-Pack Cotton Jockstraps and thought that’d be the end of my journey. After those passed their sell-by date, my underwear evolution was well under way, and I wanted to keep with the traditional, but seeing all of what I just refer to as “Fashion Jocks” I snapped up some of the 2(x)ist All-Star Jocks as well as some Go Softwear Cotton Lycra Jockstraps. For the most part, I was happy. Not only was I getting the practical support a jock offered me, the nice colors provided an added boost to my self-esteem.

It wasn’t until I decided to start blogging about my underwear collection, and visiting sites like the brilliant Underwear News Briefs and some of the other friendly underwear bloggers’ sites that I discovered that men were actually wearing Fashion Jocks under there everyday clothing. While that should have been more than obvious to me at that point, I am a slow-to-school straight guy, so bare with me. I tried to join the trend back in March, wearing one of my Go Softwear jocks to work and it wasn’t the greatest experience. The thick cotton, that is great for comfortable and supportive workouts quickly became swampy and cramped. I came home, dying to get my jockstrap off, and was resigned to the fact that I just wouldn’t be a jockstrap guy.

A few weeks passed, and as I started showing off my underwear collection, the fact that I didn’t wear jockstraps as daily wear was a negative in two ways. Primarily, it was locking me out of reaching more of you guys (our invaluable followers and fans), but second, (which was an eventual realization) I was missing out on one of the best styles of men’s designer underwear out there! However, I remained frustrated. I wanted to try some more “wearable” fashion jocks, but for the most part, the ones that I was attracted to shaped up to be similar to the ones I already had, fearing they’d fit the same and cause similar problems.

And then, came my “Ah Ha!” moment…

Not long after my failed attempt, I discovered what is perhaps the most brilliant (and in my opinion best) fabric in men’s underwear design today, “Rayon”. A pair of Obviously for Men briefs (which I wore yesterday) introduced me to the fabric’s magical qualities and I was hooked. It didn’t take long for me to put two and two together. Obviously made jockstraps with rayon, and knowing how soft, form-fitting (I’ll discuss this, later) comfortable and most importantly, breathable the fabric was, I decided to try one. Once I got it on, I was in heaven. After wearing it for the day, I finally realized what I had been (knowingly) missing-I knew why so many men loved this style as everyday wear.

I had found the perfect style of underwear for me, and needless to say, I became obsessed. My jock collection exploded and continues to grow when new rayon jocks hit the market that I cannot live without. A jockstrap made with rayon, is the Jockstrap, done right. For those of you who do not know, Rayon is a fabric made from cellulose fibers of bamboo. It’s incredibly soft, and while not the most moisture-wicking, it is still near the top, but what makes it most comfortable is the fabric’s elasticity. While there are several jockstraps on the market that use similar fabrics to rayon, I am convinced that the Jockstrap is at its best when the pouch is made of the stuff.

What we know about all underwear made from rayon, is that it allows your package to sit in its most natural state, hanging away from your body and in front of your legs. While some men may argue that this feature doesn’t give them the support they’re looking for, I disagree. For those of us working 8-12 hour days, a jockstrap with a rayon pouch is the penultimate in all-day comfort because it’s doing the job all underwear sets out to do, but does so in the best way, performing the task without so much as a little reminder of what it’s doing.

While the rayon jockstrap provides excellent support, I think its best part is the fabric’s body-hugging fit. When laying on the bed, it doesn’t appear that there is much to a rayon jockstrap pouch. The pouch seems much smaller than you would think it needs to be, but that couldn’t be further from the truth once you get it on. As soon as you’ve got your package secured into the pouch, the greatest thing happens, you’re done for the day. The fabric molds to whatever natural changes might occur to your package during the day. What I love about rayon in general is that for men like me, who are just slightly above-average between their legs, no fabric on the market does a better job in supporting us without ever cramping our natural “hang.”

Rayon is an expensive fabric, and for companies that produce huge quantity, it’s gets expensive to sell. In addition, its production costs typically mean that rayon fabrics will tend to be monochromatic. Most men prefer cotton jock straps because they come in the widest varieties of colors and styles, and do not get me wrong, this wholehearted endorsement of the rayon jockstrap is not in any way a slam on those designs or designers who do not produce them. A non-rayon design I favor is C-IN2 and their jock design. It has an excellent pouch that is very deep in its contour. Another great designer, N2N Bodywear makes jocks in just about all of the commonly used fabrics in men’s underwear design.

If you are like me, and are either afraid to start wearing jocks as daily wear, or have yet to find one you really feel comfortable enough in to wear for several consecutive hours in a day, I firmly believe the answer lies in the jockstraps that feature rayon as the fabric in the pouch design. I guarantee it will provide unparalleled fit and comfort and will reshape how you once viewed the jockstrap. It’s a design that truly is the Jockstrap, done right.

I recently had the awesome privilege in trying out a pair of N2N undies.  I have admired N2N Bodywear for some time now, especially their sheer undies.  Yes, I do love sheer if you haven’t figured that out yet.  The pair I was given to review were cotton.  No matter, I was super excited to try them.  I wasn’t disappointed.  They were super comfortable and I almost forgot what I was wearing.  I actually had to keep reminding myself I was wearing them and I needed to review them.

My review pair was the white cotton Twilight brief.  They are not the sexiest pair but are extremely comfortable.    They are made of 90% cotton and 10% spandex and are ribbed.  They love your body and are very comfortable.

The overall fit was perfect.  They hug your body in all the right places and provide excellent support where needed.  The legs don’t bind and the waistband is not too large and non-binding.  There is plenty of room for everything you own.

I am super happy with my first N2N Bodywear brief and look forward to my next great experience in wearing their undies.

These Twilight briefs can be found at the N2N Bodywear website located at http://www.n2nbodywear.com. These briefs were provided for review.

The Twilight Brief is the first pair of underwear from N2N.  I have tried their workout shorts and liked how they performed.  I had wanted to review underwear by them and now I have been given the chance.

I was happy with the material, made up of 90% cotton and 10% Spandex.  It is comfortable with a good amount of stretch.  Call me spoiled, but I had hoped these briefs would come with a formed pouch.  With all the brands out there which sport an accentuated pouch, I would think N2N might want this great feeling brief to give its wearer the most comfort as possible.  I’m not a fan of briefs that push everything against my body, or in better terms, require me to form my own pouch.

The waistband is a color combination of yellow, gray, and black with the N2N logo surrounding the body.  The band measures 1.5 inches (3.81 cm).  To be elastic, it is a smooth material so not to cut into the body throughout the day.  The leg openings are lined with a cloth covered elastic band.  The altogether fit of the brief was helped by this feature.  The briefs remained in place all the day of classes and lots of walking.

You can find the N2N Twilight brief from their website located at http://www.n2nbodywear.com.  This pair was furnished by N2N for our review.

I have to start off this review by saying, “HOT”! That describes exactly how I feel whenever the subject of wrestling singlets comes up. Here is part 3 of my 4 part review of the N2N Bodywear workout/active wear. I personally own two singlets and love how they feel when I pull them on. N2N Bodywear is great supporters of UnderwearNewsBriefs.com and sent us their Ultra Skin Singlet in size large to review.

UltraSkinSingletFull09

I have to admit that there are not many places where I can sport a singlet.  On that note, I did have the opportunity to pull on a singlet and wear it out. I sported the red N2N singlet at the premiere party for a monthly event called CODE. The dress code included sports gear so sporting a singlet was totally on the agenda and I wasn’t the only one in a singlet that night. Furthermore, about a half of the guys sporting singlets that night was sporting the N2N singlet in various colors. It was great to see!

The singlet fit well. I have gained a bit of weight since N2N sent me this singlet to review but large still worked. For me, an extra large might have been better and allowed more give. Other than that, it hugged my body well and didn’t ride or pinch in any places. The material was strong and durable. This was good since I had several people tugging on it all night long in various places. The material and the way in which it was put together make this a very lasting item.

I think this singlet looks great on me as well as others. While I was sporting the red singlet, the majority of the other guys sporting the N2N singlet were wearing the blue version. The N2N singlet is very nice to look at and it’s a total eye catcher. I turned several heads as I walked past. This singlet is a great option for any fetish/gear party you plan to attend or if you and friends want to get together and show of gear.

In conclusion, the N2N Ultra Skin Singlet is a very hot active wear item that is on top at any fetish/gear party you may be attending. But please, don’t let me tell you when and where to sport this item. Wherever you want to sport it is fine. I would love to hear how others sport singlets. I give it an overall rating of 4.5 on a scale of 5.

N2N Bodywear provided the clothes that I have reviewed.

Hello all, I am back for part 2 of my 3 part review of the N2N Bodywear active wear. I know that I called it workout gear in the last review, but based on the items in part 2, I am going to switch to active wear. The reason being is that some of us out there would love to wear this type of clothing to the gym and most of us can’t pull it off. Why can’t we pull it off? Well, because it’s a bit more reveling than those of us who are body-conscience would like it to be. Mesh will do that. Love it…but be mindful!

MeshLongShortFull09MeshSplitShortFull09

The two shorts I am reviewing are the Sports Mesh Long Shorts and the Retro Split Mesh Shorts. I have sported both pairs around the house and I wore the long shorts out one night to pick a friend up from the airport. Realize that I never got out of the car when I wore them out. Being a jockstrap guy, it would have been a bit too much for public eyes to see.

The Sports Mesh Long Shorts are comfortable and very breathable. Obviously, if they are somewhat see through, they are going to be very breathable. I received a size large to review and they fit well. They have a drawstring waist so I was able to cinch them up if I wanted to. They have small front pockets that are nice but since they are not too deep, you can’t do much with them. Then again, for me personally, I would not be wearing them out of the house, making them great for lounging around at home, especially if you are like me and are comfortable being naked. These shorts give you some coverage but still allow you to feel exposed. I like that. The mesh material is comfortable and feels great against the skin. I felt great sporting them commando.

MeshLongShortPop08AMeshSplitShortPop08C

The next pair of shorts is a bit more on the skimpy and revealing side of things. And yes, that is a tall order since we are already talking about mesh shorts. This pair is the Retro Split Mesh Shorts. They are designed off of the classic idea of running shorts with the high cut of the sides for freedom of movement. You know, the very short, short look. The material is the same as the long mesh shorts, so they are comfortable and easily worn commando. There is one more very interesting aspect to these shorts, that in my opinion, makes them a pair you actually have to wear commando or with just a thong or jock. They have a built-in pouch for your package to be cradled. So I can tell you, it is very interested. Furthermore, the pouch is detachable. It attaches via several snaps.

In conclusion, the N2N Sports Mesh Long Shorts and the Retro Split Mesh Shorts are unique active wear items I feel are better for lounging around the house or out at a friend’s place where you feel comfortable sporting mesh shorts. I give it an overall rating of 4.2 on a scale of 5.

Keep a lookout for the 3rd part to the N2N Bodywear workout clothes review. The next one will be about the N2N singlet. Not really something that can be worn at the gym while working out, but there is an interesting party here in DC that I attended the other day where a singlet is almost required. I will let you know how it wears.

N2N Bodywear Sport Mesh Short
N2N Bodywear Sport Mesh Short

I recently got the chance to review the N2N Bodywear Sports Mesh Short, available at the N2N website for $22.00. You can select from gray/yellow, burgundy/gray, or black/gray. These shorts were provided by N2N for our reviewing.

With everything mesh, some people have an automatic turn off switch. I am not the world’s biggest fan of clothing made of mesh. I have worn different articles of clothing from underwear to the popular mesh shirts of the 80s.

Once I wore a football practice shirt to school. My teacher flipped her lid because it was very revealing. Saying that, when you wear this short, and you know you’ll be around others, be kind and wear underwear. As you can see from the side view picture below, the jock being worn is in clear view to all who glance at the shorts. You will not only be kind to everyone around, but you will be kind to yourself. I wore them for a very brief period of time without underwear and I can say it wasn’t comfortable with skin poking through the holes. I would go as far as saying this would be best suited for a workout at home.

As with the N2N Bodywear Trainer Short, these use a drawstring waist. Unlike the trainer short is

the use of elastic, making it a bit more of a hold instead of relying solely on the tightness of the drawstring. Another aspect of this short is the use of pockets on the front. These pockets extend almost from the top to the bottom of the short’s length. Possibly an iPod or other music device could be carried in the pockets. If something were to come up and a pocket was needed, it has one on each side of the front. These shorts also sit low on the waist. I reviewed a size small and they did not feel weird as the trainer short felt. When I put them on, they fit as I would expect a small size to fit.

The material used is 100% polyester. It is lightweight and moves with you. And since it is mesh, this material is extremely airy. While wearing them, there was not binding or moving on me. All day wear would be something of a personal choice, as would be where it is worn. Overall, I personally give this short a 4.7.

N2N Bodywear Trainer Short
N2N Bodywear Trainer Short

I was recently given the chance to review the N2N Bodywear Trainer Short. This short can be purchased from the N2N Bodywear Site for $24.00. They come in black/olive, gray/yellow, and navy/white. N2N provided these for review. These are gym/lounge shorts, but who’s to say you can’t wear them as underwear. That is totally up to you! They are comfortable enough for either.

The material of these shorts is so wonderful against the skin…smooth and not clingy in the slightest. The material is stretchy and 100% cotton. I reviewed a small and there was plenty of room. If there was an X-small, I would have been quite content. The drawstring came in good use. I felt the waist sat low.

I wore these shorts for a while before I put them through a workout. I knew from the moment I put them on that one should wear either briefs or a jock underneath. There are still a bunch of people out there at the gym that are very conservative and don’t want to see, much less imagine, someones junk flopping from side to side. I looked at my crotch and could see an outline of the guy. Given this, I put on my briefs then put on the trainer short. All was corrected. I’m sure if one chooses to wear accentuating underwear underneath, you will get as much of the attention you are expecting or wanting to get.

If there was anything I would change, it would have to be the drawstring. I’ve never been that crazy about drawstrings on any article of clothing, including jogging pants. I’m more of an elastic waistband guy. Why? Because the last thing I want to deal with when I go to the bathroom is having to stop…untie…pull out…put back in…tie back up. With these shorts, the issue is when you untie, you better be ready to have a hand free to hold them up. Otherwise, you will be the weirdo at the urinal with your shorts around your ankles. Just let me know what gym you go to first so there can be pictures!

Overall, I will give the N2N Bodywear Trainer Short a 4.76. The fit for the size was a little weird, but that is just personal taste in my workout gear. The material, as I said, feels fantastic. Make sure you read the care instructions…”Hand or machine wash cold water and tumble dry low.” My personal issue with the drawstring affected the put together score and more the overall score than any other aspect. The look is great and daily wear is all a matter of what you are comfortable with in public.

Take a minute to go by the N2N Bodywear website. Check out all of their products from swimwear to erotic wear. I am sure you will find something that will make you and yours very happy.

I know that most of you guys think our blog/website is only about underwear but obviously, since we have reviewed swimwear as well, you can tell we like to venture out and touch on other topics we love. Well, I have another topic worth chatting about…workout clothes. The great people over at N2N Bodywear have given us here at UnderwearNewsBriefs.com some workout gear to review. They were kind enough to send several items. To cover them, I will be breaking up this review into 3 parts. This review will focus on the Trainer Hoodie and Long Shorts.

TrainerHoodieFull09

As you can see from the pictures, these items are very similar in both material and design, leading me to believe they are meant to be worn as an outfit. The fit of the shorts was just right. They were a good length, being not too long or two short for my tastes. I did’t exactly like that the shorts were drawstring instead of elastic, but they fit fine regardless. The hoodie was interesting. It also fit well and I loved the fact of it being sleeveless. I personally like wearing sleeveless shirts when working out and I know it might seem odd to wear a sleeveless hoodie. I do know that my other half thought it was very strange. Granted, when he tried it on he was excited to wear it to the gym to “test” it out.

TrainerHoodiePop09ATrainerLongShortPop09BTrainerLongShortPop09A

As I have said, the material is light and breathable. The cut of both the shorts and the hoodie resisted binding or uncomfortable gathering. I don’t like baggy clothes at the gym, but I also don’t like skin-tight clothing either. The look of the shorts and hoodie together is great. The white strip along the side of both the shorts and the hoodie give both items length, supplying a fit, slim look to the wearer. I would say that this outfit is great for gym wear but also lounging around and relaxing.

In conclusion, the N2N Trainer Hoodie and Long Shorts outfit are a terrific outfit for any work out. I give it an overall rating of 4.8 on a scale of 5.
