jS8NLsN2.jpg-largeI’m N2-it, that’s for sure. N2N Air Jock Jockstrap

When you need a reliable, comfortable and sexy brand it’s hard to beat out N2N. They constantly produce high quality lines that define, support and accentuate all of the goods. This jockstrap was no different.

With a very cute, lean band the waist band design took on a “skinnier” look and design from most traditional jockstraps. The logo design is sleek and edgy with a streamline (literally, line) look. That plays very well in black and white, especially when constricted with the bold red pouch. The one thing that I thought was a bit off was just the sturdiness of the straps and band themselves.

I often say that I’ve got a nice lil booty for an average white boy. So perhaps that’s why I feel the straps and band were a little lackluster in their ‘support’. And comparing it with other N2N lines, like my thong, the straps are almost identical but the strength of them seem different. Perhaps it’s all in my head (very well could be) and does it mean that this isn’t still a super great jockstrap? No it does not.

Speaking of that red pouch from earlier, YAY! It is a classically perfect N2N pouch. It holds everything that it should well and helps really draw the eye. Everything from the bursting red color to the smoothness of the fabric makes this pouch pop. You’ll be able to rock this all day, all night and for some, even on the walk of shame (#nojudgment).

Look at this jockstrap as a whole and it is SO well done. The sleek and slim, black and white design of the waist band and straps plays just perfectly with the popping pouch of eye catching red. While the straps didn’t feel like they lifted my buns to high. holy heaven they did do their job well enough for me to be happy with this new pair from N2N.

Sizing will be consistent with your normal sizing and the 90% Cotton and 10% Spandex fabric blend is perfectly delightful.

Pros: Sleek and stylish, comfy and supportive pouch, playful colors

Cons: Smaller straps could mean less support,

Rating: 7.5/10

If you’re looking for a slender jockstrap to add to the bunch this is a good one to consider. Find the Air Jock on the N2N Bodywear page for $19.00

imageI wanted to introduce you guys to a relatively new blog on the scene  that blog is called The Bottom Drawer  you may ask what’s so different about that?  First his blog just covers bikinis and thongs.  Second is he’s a straight underwear lover   Which is awesome  we need more straight guys to get into the underwear world  here is his interview.

How did you discover your love of bikinis and thongs? Was your love like many other guys out there, you found bikinis then thongs?

I guess it all started when I received a catalog that listed various catalogs that you could subscribe to and I saw one for men’s underwear. If I remember right it was an Undergear/International Male catalog listed. I’ve always admired women in their variety of styles of underwear and swimwear. So when I saw that bikinis were available for guys my interest was piqued in giving them a try. Then probably a year or so later I saw bikinis for men listed in a Kmart sales flyer and of course I got to a store ASAP. As soon as I slipped on the first pair to give them a try I knew they were for me. Now here I am with quite a collection.

Yes, I found bikinis first. That was all that was available locally. It wasn’t until college when browsing the Undergear website that I came across thongs for men. Again my interest was piqued and eventually I placed an order. They took a few times wearing before I decided they were for me, but I liked how they looked from the start on me.

You love two specific styles of underwear, but what makes great underwear for you? Is it fit, fabric, design, color or etc?

Definitely the fit is what makes the underwear for me. I like snug fitting underwear with narrow sides. I also prefer the fabric covered waistbands over the exposed elastic ones. Always nice to have a selection of colors/patterns especially when you find a pair you really like.

In your underwear journey what are some of your favorite bikinis? What are some of your favorite thongs?

My top bikini choice is Prevail Sport’s string brief. They have narrow sides, about a 3/4 back, and a nice snug fit. I also like their rio and zealand brief. I’ve recently discover the brand Dietz and like the bikinis I’ve tried from them so far. Another recent discovery for me on the thong front is the Blueline t-back thong, which is more of a v-string. It’s on the skimpier side, but love how it molds to me and has become a go to thong. Then the Prevail Sport’s string thong brief is one I enjoy. I also have some nice thongs and bikinis from Kiniki and Bodyaware, which both make good quality underwear.

Are there brands you want to try that you haven’t tried yet? If so what brands?

Since starting blogging I have become more interested in trying out different brands instead of just sticking with my main go to ones. Dietz was one I tried recently. There are a few other that are on top of my list with some items I’d like to try. One is N2N and their vintage sports brief and g-string. Also have my eye on PPU’s Bali bikini, Male Power’s bong thong, and Intymen sport thong. Also heard good things about the JM SKINZ thong and wouldn’t mind trying it. Those are all from brands I haven’t tried yet. There are lots of other bikinis and thongs out there I’m interested in too.
Underwear blogging is getting bigger and bigger, what made you start a blog of your own?

I wanted a way to share my passion or maybe more of an obsession with others and I haven’t come across many blogs just focusing on bikinis and thongs that were still active. My hopes with expressing my thoughts and views on them is that I may encourage others that may be interested in trying them out to just do it. It gives me the opportunity to be a voice that it is fine for guys to wear sexy underwear and it isn’t just for the ladies. Another thing is I’d like to see swim briefs more popular at the beaches around the US, so wanted to share my experience as I try to become more of a regular wearer of them. Unfortunately that isn’t going as well as I’d like.

Being a straight guy in the world of blogging, what has the reception been?

So far it has been positive for me. Everyone that has commented or contacted me has been friendly, supportive, and/or complimentary. I haven’t come across the negativity that I heard others have come across.

From your perspective more straight guys are falling in love with underwear, why do you think that is?

One reason I think straight guys (really guys in general) may be getting more into underwear is there are more brands and styles available especially from when I started getting into them almost 20 years ago. With more brands there is more competition to get your name out there. Then the more you see something, the more likely it seems to stimulate one into trying things, so I would think that is a factor. I’d also guess that everyone that has been blogging about men’s underwear has given some guys the encouragement to go try some variety in the underwear department. Probably all of it comes down to the Internet in the end. Easy access to information.

26-08-15-1Have you ever wanted to see the magic that goes into an underwear shoot? If so the great people at Dead Good Undies live streamed their latest shoot. Don’t worry if you missed it, it’s now on YouTube! Granted it’s over 2 hours of footage, but it’s super fun to watch!

The part I like best is the first part when they didn’t realize they were live. Having done some live streaming things happen. It adds to the video for me to show they are real! Here is what they say about the live stream:

26-08-15-5

International underwear experts Deadgoodundies.com have clocked up another world first – their latest photoshoot has been streamed live on YouTube.

The footage at https://youtu.be/ih6m1lwAqs4 is attracting massive attention, not least because it stars former Mr Gay UK and Mr Gay World Stuart Hatton Jnr and Adonis Cabaret star Marshall Arkley.

DGU founder Adam Davies, who was behind (and sometimes in front of) the camera for the shoot, is delighted with the footage.

“It was great fun, very funny, and technically challenging!” he laughs. “The video has Stuart and Marshall wearing HOM and Bruno Banani spring 2016 designs, along with Ergowear’s best selling Suave enhancing underwear which is a very hot property at DGU. There are party hats, lots of joshing, a recipe for the perfect bacon sandwich, questions from the live audience and of course plenty of up close and personal examination of the guys’ briefs, trunks, boxer shorts, thongs and more.”

Adam promises to do another live stream in future ‘perhaps a little differently…’ and meantime the YouTube footage is clocking up views from all over the world.

When did you first discover your love of undies?

While I first truly discovered my love of underwear in early college, I can look back on several parts of my childhood that might hint as what was to come. That would probably be a whole post in itself, however. What really got me started was a simple question, that occurred to me in late high school with a not so simple answer: Why do women have a huge variety of choices when it comes to underwear, but not men? Little did I know that just beyond my knowledge, on the internet, was a whole world of men’s underwear, just waiting to be discovered.

What style was you favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)

My early pair choices were influenced by a couple of things. First, I was looking for something vastly different than the boxers I wore at the time. I had no interest in briefs, and earlier experimentation with boxer-briefs had found them lacking. With that, I gravitated towards the skimpier styles, like thongs and bikinis. The fact that they were a few dollars cheaper than styles with more coverage, like boxer-briefs or briefs, made it easier for me to agree to an impulse by with my meager college student funds. Ebay was a very important resource to me.

When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?

If I remember correctly, the first pair I purchased was a multipack of Hanes String Bikinis. I consider my true first purchase my Polo Ralph Lauren Thong. Both were purchased from, of course, Ebay.

What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)

When I first started shopping for undies, things weren’t as easy as it was now. Social Media was nowhere as big, and online retailers collections were far smaller. Quite a few of my favorite brands I might not have heard of if not for a chance comparison or recommendation in a review. I’m the kind of guy to read all through the reviews before they make a purchase, and because of that my early dream thong purchases to get were the CK Body and 2xist. Also, the sex appeal was undeniable. Even as a straight guy I was captivated by the front profile offered by thongs and bikinis. As mentioned above, I relied heavily on ebay to be able to afford or discover undies. Without the internet the most adventurous i’d be capable underwear wise would be mass market bikini briefs.

Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying? Did you ever get a pair?

There were always brands and pairs that I wanted, but due to my lack of funds either had to wait for lucky chance appearances of eBay, or never got them. The one I remember the most was from Papi. It was the Modern Stretch Bikini. By the time I had discovered it, it could only be found on eBay, for outrageous prices.
There were only a couple times where I truly thought to myself “I HAVE to have one of these!”. The first was my discovery of Ergowear. The second was the first time I laid eyes on N2N’s Tropic line.

Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?

While I have yet to utilize thongs and bikinis as daily wear, I still find it hard to not buy a nice looking one these days, even though I have about 40 pairs between the two styles. They are still certainly my favorites. My underwear journey has not been a straight road. There have been stops and starts. In the early going I wouldn’t wear my special pairs that often, going weeks or months in between wearings. Eventually, I didn’t wear them at all, and they languished in the back of my underwear drawers for years. In 2013 I came back to undies, partially due to twitter. I have rediscovered my love for undies, and it has increased. My collection has grown exponentially, and my wear habits have changed a lot since coming back into undies two years ago. I have ditched boxers completely for daily wear, and have started wearing briefs.

What is your favorite style today?

Today, I’d say my favorite style would be bikini briefs. They are just such a good compromise of form and function, sex appeal and comfort. They also are a good look on my slim frame. It would be trunks if they looked better on me, though.

Who are you favorite brands now?

My favorite brands, if based on by how many pairs by them I now own, would be N2N Bodywear, and Ergowear. I also like 2Xist for daily wear pairs. Cocksox is also a favorite, even though I distinctly remember thinking of them as too skimpy when I first came across the brand.

Underweardude details his underwear experiences on twitter @underweardude.

ENDOWED SERIESWhen you guys saw that the endowed series and Cocksox, I know some of you fully expected the CX01 Bikini. Granted it is one of my favorite pairs that I wear on a regular basis. I wanted to profile some of the other amazing pairs Cocksox has in their catalogue. I have tried every style they have to offer. Those range from the thong to the boxer brief and everything in between.

Why did I choose the CSX03 Waistband Brief? Not every guy wants to wear a bikini. Shocking it is for me to believe that! There are guys who like more classic styled underwear. The waistband brief has that classic look. The Waistband brief has elastic waistband with a fuller body than the bikini.

So why is this pair in the endowed series?  Its because of the amazing Cocksox pouch. It has been hands down one of my top 5 pouches ever. Its supportive and fits most guys really well. I also don’t think this pair shows off as much as the CX01. That’s just my personal experience, or I just haven’t noticed it as much.

Cocksox uses some great fabrics in their underwear. The suplex/lycra blend will really conform to your body. Especially the pouch, because there is nothing worse than having a brief and the pouch looses shape or stretches out. The fabric in Cocksox has never had these issues!

The colors in the Waistband brief range for classic to fun. There are four colors in the range, Black, Grey, Purple and Aqua. It is also part of the CSX collection. Meaning the waistband will have CSX instead of Cocksox. So you can be a little more discreet in your underwear and not flash it around.

Find all the colors at the Cocksox website for $29.00

The endowed series is about finding great underwear for guys who need more room in the pouch. I have tried many different pairs over the last few years and these are some of the best I can recommend. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us

BunkerWhen did you first discover your love of undies?

Early Junior high I think.

What style was your favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)?

Briefs have always been my favorite. I’ve tried boxers, boxer-briefs, trunks and thongs here and there, but I always come back to briefs.

When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?

Spalding lo-rise briefs were the first I bought with my own money. They were no fly lo-rise briefs with a white pipe down each side. They were comfortable and colorful

What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)

I started way back when the internet was just a gleam in BBS and AOL’s eyes, so catalogs and ad circulars in the paper are what influenced me. (Showing my age?)

Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying?  Did you ever get a pair?

Brand’s really weren’t a thing then as they are now. It was more the style and colors I think people looked for. When someone said “underwear” back then, the first brands that came to mind were Hanes, Jockey, and FotL.

Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?

Definitely. At that time, the only options were briefs, lo-rise briefs and bikinis, or boxers. Boxers weren’t comfortable, regular briefs were boring, bikinis a bit too small…  lo-rise were just right. Most of what I have today are lo-rise briefs of one brand or another, with or without a fly.

What is your favorite style today?

Still lo-rise briefs. The vast majority are lo-rise briefs. Though there are a few boxers, boxer briefs, and bikinis mixed in, but not many.

Who are you favorite brands now?

Aussiebum, Bunker, Calvin Klein, Go Software, Reebok are what I have the most of.  Though the drawers also have a few Hanes, Hugo, 2xist, Tommy, and Jockey… among others mixed in.

BlueMedalBrief1When did you first discover your love of undies?
I first discovered my love for underwear around the age of 20. I am very active and into fitness. This led me to favor compression style  underwear with materials other than 100% cotton that wicked away sweat, didn’t ride up and had other “technology and features.” Through searching for this perfect pair my love grew.
What style was you favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)
Prior to my 20s I would wear boxers. Those days long behind me, I now favor trunks. After that my ranking probably looks like this: boxer briefs, briefs, and then jocks.
When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?
Well I wore Hanes tighty-whites as a kid and American Eagle boxers as a teen. Once I began buying my own pairs I’d guess my first purchase would have been 2xist. I forgot the name of the specific style, but they were trunks and had an opaque style mesh on each of the sides and a kind of rubberized waistband. I bought three of two different colored pairs off of Gilt.com.
What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)
Definitely what I’d see others wearing in the gym; if I liked the fit I’d look it up. Store websites gave me ideas also and today Instagram is a big inspiration to try new (foreign) brands.
Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying?  Did you ever get a pair?
I really wanted and purchased C-IN2. I still really want Aussie Bum, but have yet to purchase.
Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?
Not really. I still like my first pair and I’ve bought more of that brand and similar brands, but that first purchase didn’t really influence me.
What is your favorite style today?
My favourite style is trunk.
Who are you favorite brands now?
My favorite brands are Teamm8, Pump and 2xist and CK.

IMG_9335When did you first discover your love of undies?
I realized I loved underwear when I was around 10 years old.  Walking through department stores and looking through the JCP catalogue definitely interested me.  By the time I was 12 or 13 I realized I REALLY loved underwear!   🙂
What style was you favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)
Looking at the packages and seeing guys in bikini briefs was very sexy.  I always wore basic white briefs that my mom bought and I was dying to try something different.
When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?
My first pair was a 3 pack tube (that’s how old I am) of Jockey Elance bikini briefs.  I used my allowance to buy them and kept them hidden because I was embarrassed to show anyone!
What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)
Looking through catalogues (International Male was big then) and just strolling the underwear department at a store opened my eyes to the different styles out there and I wanted to try them all.
Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying?  Did you ever get a pair?
I never cared about labels when it came to underwear and still don’t to this day.  If a pair looks good and they’re on sale, I’ll buy them!  I’ve got $40 D&G and $3 clearance bin undies and love them just the same.
Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?
Those first pair of Jockeys definitely made me feel excited when I put them on – a secret that only I knew – and I still feel that way about my underwear.  Bikini briefs remain my favorite and are the sexiest, in my opinion.
What is your favorite style today?
Bikini Briefs.
Who are you favorite brands now?
I’ve got so many different styles from different companies now but Jockey, N2N and CK are my go-to brands.

IMG_20150716_150424800When did you first discover your love of undies?

Growing up as a kid I always wore the tighty-whiteys.  They were cheap and got the job done and I really didn’t care all that much.  The middle school locker room was the first time I ever saw that guys wore something other than white briefs.  Granted, they all mostly wore boxers, but there was a couple who wore different colored briefs (which I really never even knew existed until then) and a couple of guys who wore bikini briefs.  It was then that wanted to, at the very least, branch out from the typical white briefs.  Through constant experimentation with different styles, cuts, and colors through high school and college was when I realized that I had a bit of an underwear fetish and loved to look to see what everyone else wore.  Now, because I love underwear so much, I am picky about whom I date because ill judge him based on what underwear he wears.  Thankfully, I found a guy who I have influenced to wear some pretty amazing stuff now.  J

What style was your favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)

I went through different phases in my life with what I liked to wear.  I first branched out with the bikini birefs in middle school and high school.  When I went to college, I had the mindset that I needed to “butch it up a tad” and wore mostly boxer briefs.  Towards the end of college when I had my own place I went back to bikinis.  When I joined the Marine Corps, I went back to boxer briefs temporarily until then wearing a mixture of trunks, bikinis, briefs, and the occasional thong.  I also started working out a lot at the gym while in the military and always wore jockstraps while working out.

When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?

Although I was nervous buying new underwear since I considered it a private matter of sorts, I bought a generic 6-pack of different colored bikini briefs.  For some reason I cant remember the name of the brand, but I know its not still around today.  It was then that I knew I could never wear the boring white briefs ever again.

What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)

Without a doubt, the internet influenced me the most.  When I was in my teens and logged into AOL, I would love searching different clothing stores for what type of underwear they sold.  I never bought anything online until I had moved out of my parents house because I didn’t want them knowing that I was looking at guys in their underwear online all the time.

Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying?  Did you ever get a pair?

The first brand name I can remember really wanting to buy in the early 2000’s was 2xist.  At the time, I considered them the sexiest underwear you could buy.  I ended up buying 2 pairs of their pima cotton boxer briefs in black.  That was the first time I ever had anything that wasn’t 100% normal cotton, and I loved it.

Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?

Of course, it made me want to try even more different fabrics to see how they felt.

What is your favorite style today?

My drawers (all 3 of them) consist of about 70% briefs and bikinis, 15% boxer briefs and trunks, and 15% jocks and thongs.  A totally separate drawer is full of swimsuits, but that’s a different story.

Who are you favorite brands now?

Nowadays, I am really liking some of the Australian brands out there, especially cocksox, teamm8, and funky trunks.  Also, I love the cuts and colors of N2N, junk underjeans and Pump.  But honestly, if I see anything that catches my eye in terms of color, style, pattern, or anything else, regardless of the brand, then ill probably wear it.

UnderLoverWear-0991It starts a bit awkward. It feels a bit weird. It is definitely a new situation.  And then you laugh.

That’s how it was in the first 15 minutes of a photoshoot put on by Handsome Pictures (Instagram: handsome.pictures
). I had known the photographer for years and for as long as I’ve known him, he’s known my underwear obsession. So he approached me a little while ago about doing a shoot, “of all of your underwear”. Well, all of it was going to be out of the question but of a small portion, SURE!

Now for everyone who has ever looked at your own body in the mirror. You know that there are times that you feel really good about it and times that, well, you don’t. If you had asked me early this year I would have told you I felt GREAT. We’re talking, swim thong in the hot tub in Whistler for Gay Ski Days great. But by the time that the shoot came around in May…not so much.

UnderLoverWear-1792

Still, the shoot was scheduled and I really did want to have a good time. I stuffed a bag full, FULL, of different underwear. I did diverse brands, different cuts, colors, materials, all of it. I could barely zip the bag closed and I was off! That bag contained some of my most favorite pairs; blue and orange assless briefs from Timoteo, a deep red jockstrap from Obviously, hot pink briefs from Garcon Model, my N2N Y-thong sailor striped briefs from CoxSocks and much more.

We got all set up for the first of three locations and I went to get changed. I nervously walked out of the bathroom.  Realizing what would follow would be a saga of sucking in, angling, and trying to smile. For the first few clicks of the camera I was stiff and both the photographer and I knew it. And then, he made me laugh. I can’t remember the line or joke but I just laughed out loud and *click* there was the first, good photo.

UnderLoverWear-0935

In that moment I recalled that feeling uncomfortable is in direct contrast to the cornerstone of loving undies. And then, the photo shoot was on. I arched, smirked, twisted, and had a great time.

We went out into the woods and did another section, my favorite section. Being in inspiring underwear surrounded by nature is the most natural feelings there is. By the time he said we should go to the more “product shots” I didn’t want to go in but reluctantly followed.

The shoot finished with a black backdrop for shots of just the underwear. The finished product would look like a shots you’d see on a seller’s page. The lights were hot, the camera was close and it was still fun.

UnderLoverWear-1541

Want to know the worst part of the entire thing? Waiting for the finished products. Yet, when they came, I couldn’t believe it. So many of the photos caught the essence of how underwear should make you feel. I looked elated in them. I looked comfortable in them. I looked sexy in them. And for having felt so…not great… about my body at the time. I smile every time I look at those photos and am so grateful for Handsome Pictures for capturing it all, one click at a time.

HOM-plume-string-black-front-1When did you first discover your love of undies?
In the 80’s as a teenager – loved the very skimpy styles that were fashionable then and probably like most guys used to like looking at the catalogues with guys in their underwear – no internet then!!
What style was you favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)
Loved very skimpy briefs from the outset – tanga style were very fashionable and readily available back then. Also bikini brief style Never really liked boxers, have always been a briefs man!
When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?
I honestly cant remember! But I do remember going on a first holiday and going to Selfridges in Oxford Street and buying the smallest pair of string bikini swimming trunks – they were really tiny and I loved them! In fact I think I bought two pairs, one black and one bright red and I still love red underwear now!
What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)
Hope this doesn’t sound too odd but my older brother wore very brief underwear – I used to like trying his underwear no when he wasn’t around. Catalogues too were an influence.
Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying?  Did you ever get a pair?
Right from the outset I loved HOM – string bikinis and their Fredy g strings look so good I think when I first started buying gstrings, Fredy were the ones I bought first (red of course and from Selfridges!)
Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?
Yes – have always like the very skimpy styles and although older now I still like and have a number of gstrings, thongs and small pouch briefs that are reminiscent of HOM styles. Love the HOM Plume gstrings!
What is your favorite style today?
I like all different styles but probably tiny pouch brief. Over the past few years I’ve really got to like jocks, and have quite a few pairs of the backless brief/jock style
Who are you favorite brands now?
Still really like HOM, Andrew Christian, don’t have any Joe Snyder but I think they are hot. An annoyance is that a lot of the brands like Joe Snyder don’t make larger sizes for the larger guy – such a shame!

11745711_932798146762811_1178238690085193131_nUndies Monday is all about feeling great and sexy. It doesn’t have to be a pair of thongs or a jock. Its feeling sexy in what ever you love! That’s the point, to start the week in something to brighten your day.

One pair that is perfect for the Trunk/Boxer Brief love is the PUMP! Underwear Touchdown in Blue Steele. You maybe asking what’s so sexy about this pair? First off, did you see the picture? I could go “I rest my case” and drop the mic. However, that’s not how we do things here at UNB!

The pair is made out of a Navy Mesh fabric. It’s not the totally see through mesh but more of a sports mesh. It will show off just enough without being over the top. The pouch on the pair is made out of cotton fabric. So you won’t be showing off all the goods. Piping on the pair is in white so it will contrast the Navy very well.

The waist band and leg bands are super hot to me. I am a fan of waistbands and love the PUMP blue logo in baby blue. The leg openings remind me of an athletic stripe in athletic gear. Its just great to see how they tied this all together.

This pair is sexy and classic at the same time. You don’t have to wear skimpy undies to feel sexy. Undies Monday, as we have said is all about feeling sexy in what ever you want to get a great start to the week! The PUMP! Touchdown In Steele Blue is available at the PUMP! Site for $34

When did you first discover your love of undies?

I discovered my love for undies when I was around 13/ 14. A very interesting time in my life, I was making more art but in a more serious manner, Coming to terms that I was Bisexual (well back then I just knew I liked boys and girls), as well as exploring what I would later in life consider to be fun colourful and sexy undies.

What style was you favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)?

At first I was in love with boxer briefs. The main reason I thought boxers or briefs were the only choices for men/ boys (how silly of me to learn in many years later how truly foolish the idea of gender roles truly are).  However when I explored more in my life with undies…I’m loving thongs and boy shorts. The main reason it’s a tie between these two

When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?

I bought my first pair of underwear when I was 16 (roughly when I started working) It was a pair of Hanes Bikini. As I’m sure many have experienced…the butterflies in your stomach as you look aimlessly at countless packages with men so sculpted on them that they put statues to shame. As far as brand went, I had always trusted Hanes. This made it a more comfortable transition from traditional to….new!

What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)?

I was more influenced by catalogues ( I wasn’t lucky enough to have the internet when I was younger), just the way the male and female models looked was amazing. Then again…money did play a big part, most times I couldn’t afford the styles that I loved so more often then not, I had to buy what I could afford.

Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying?  Did you ever get a pair?

There are a few (I don’t think those companies are still around) However I did happen to get a few pairs (maybe not the best way) some were on sale, others were given to me. Mind you, most of the super sexy undies I received were from women.

Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?

I would say so, My undies are tighter and sexier (I feel). With my first pair being boxer briefs…not very hard
to beat something like that. A true story, Don’t get me wrong I do love wearing both boxers and briefs but they are more my lazy day go too undies.

What is your favorite style today?

My top undies are thong, cheeky, and boy shorts. Mind you Cheeky and Boy Shorts are pretty much the same thing< just a bit of differance in the amount of fabric. Anywho, I like them because of the fact that you still cet the comfort and coverage in the front and…a little showing off of the bum (Cheeky more so than Boy Shorts). Thong, Who doesn’t love a sexy secret?

Who are you favorite brands now?

My favourite brands are a large range so rather than sit here and type out a  long and wordy list of brands but…I’ll do my top favourites and hope all are happy with that. Hanes, CandyMan, ManPower, Boy Rio, Timmys Secret, Ergo Wear. Like I said I don’t want to give away all my hidden brand Gems.

When did you first discover your love of undies?

It was some time during my adolescence, I think! You know when you get to that stage in your life that you need to find your own style, your own dress code. I was very frustrated at my y-fronts at that time and wanted to find something more sexy and a lot more interesting! I wanted to start putting my own style together from inside out and… the love of undies have just started to form!

What style was you favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc.)

I was a big fan of briefs in the beginning. I found them really flattering for my type of body and loved the way they fit me.  I was a very “classic” type still and black was by far my favourite colour!

When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?

I will never forget that day! I was in Milan with friends and went to the shops specifically to find a really nice pair of underwear. It was a pair of briefs by Roberto Cavalli. Very simple… all black… very elegant. That was a long long time ago and I still have it! It is in my “happy memories” drawer!

What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)

In the beginning it was mostly friends. We used to talk about clothes and underwear was a big part of it. It was mainly though what we could find in shops at home or other places we happen to visit. The Internet later on really opened my eyes!

Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying?  Did you ever get a pair?

No, I cannot say there were. I got into the “habit” of buying literally every pair I liked. Sometimes I didn’t have money to take the bus back home but at least I had a very nice, new, pair of undies!

Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?

Today, no, not really, but it did influence my style for a very long time. I was a big fan of classic cut briefs for quite some time but then, when I started discovering alternative cuts, I was drawn into all types of underwear. Something different, like a cut I haven’t seen before, or an innovative combination of colours or fabrics, now certainly fascinates me more.

What is your favorite style today?

Would you believe it if I told you that I don’t have one anymore? LOL I think that every cut serves a purpose in a man’s outfit. I love wearing a pair of briefs if I go out running, a pair of boxer-briefs for the gym, a nice thong or jock when I am in a sexy mood and something very creative under a suit.

Who are your favorite brands now?

It is hard to tell and as an underwear blogger I probably shouldn’t tell. LOL There are certain brands I am really looking forward to see their next collections and others that keep on amaze me with their creativity. My biggest passion though is discovering new brands. I believe the next “best thing” in the underwear industry will come from them. Lets leave it there! LOL

There is no shame in loving underwearI have been running UNB for almost 7 years. It started as a way for me to share my love of undies with the world. Did I think It would catch on and become what it is today? Never in my wildest dreams. Even to this day I will meet people who love underwear and mention I run UNB and they tell me how much they love the site. This is awesome because believe it or not I still have times when I feel like I’m putting all this out there for me. I forget that there are thousands who read it.

Over the journey I have met gay, bi and straight guys. The love of underwear is universal and we all share a bond regardless of our sexuality. There also is a bit of shame with a love of underwear. I think it’s because underwear is so personal to us. Its exposing our deep down likes and passion. Revealing that is never easy. But in the whole scheme of things in the world of likes and fetishes underwear is pretty tame!

This is the other universal of underwear. Guys of all sexual orientations aren’t open about their love. Yes, some of us are open on Twitter and other social networks. Where we can be behind a screen name and remain mainly anonymous. In real life with our friends, lovers and significant others sometimes we hide the love. Why do we do that?

Is there shame in wearing underwear to make us feel great? Women don’t seem to have this problem. They have tons of different underwear from every day pairs to sexy lingerie. It’s a given that they will wear different kinds of underwear. Whereas guys are stuck with boxers or tighty whities. Why shouldn’t guys have the same options to wear amazing and sexy underwear?

So Why do guys have this need to hide their love of underwear? I have a few reasons after years of experience with this.

Guys don’t want to be judged – As I stated above underwear is personal and we choose who we share it with. Everyone who reads UNB has something different they love in underwear. This could be mesh, spandex, bikinis, colors/prints or more. Nothing worse than taking off your pants and have a person go “what are you wearing?’ and then laughing. There should be no shame in what we like.

Not Societally Accepted – For the longest time guys were to be wearing boxers. Everyone wore them and if you wore something different then you were strange. You often hear, “A real man wouldn’t be caught dead in a bikini/thong.” Like these is something wrong with either pair. Also guys don’t talk to other guys about underwear. It’s a taboo topic

Our Partners don’t get it or like it – I have a friend who loves underwear and thongs. But when he has dated the people he dates never get his underwear. So he changes his underwear and keeps that part hidden. Hiding a major part of you is never good for a relationship. So many of us do what he’s done and keep the underwear for personal time.  Rather than incorporation it with our partners.

These reasons are all guys regardless of sexual orientation. So what can we do about this? Well, we can’t cause a societal shift over night (as much as I would like). We can take small steps in that direction.

Find guys who share your love – This may sound like a DUH tip. But it really is empowering to have a friend who you can talk about underwear. It could be new stuff, favorites we have and trends happening. It also doesn’t have to be limited to the same sexual orientation. Some of the straight guys I have met through UNB are massive underwear fans. I really enjoy getting a different perspective from the guys.

If someones asks about your underwear be honest. If a friend or someone sees you have something different, maybe a pair of 2EROS or Andrew Christian. Just say I like comfortable underwear and prefer a style and cut. Don’t grab it and shove it in your pocket and hope they won’t ask. We have had a few readers this happened too and they got their friend to try better underwear!

Be honest with your partner – Tell them your love of underwear. How it makes you feel on a daily basis and how you can incorporate it into your sex life as well. Let’s face it we are wearing great undies and we want it seen at some point and to get busy. Get them involved with what you buy and take their opinion in to consideration. Relationships are give and take so introduce them slowly into undies!

Its time we bring undies out into the open. Some of you out there this doesn’t apply too. You are open post pics on Twitter with face and share your opinion. But those who are still keeping it hidden remember you are not alone and guys out there share this same thing.

Screenshot (32)It’s summer, the sun is out (yeah, even in Seattle), the waves are rolling, and the beach is calling. And calling. And calling. Pick up the phone already!

So, now you’ve decided to go to the beach or pool and it is time to pick out a swim suit. Maybe you have one or two, maybe you have 5. And with swim suits more so than with underwear the different between styles is huge. Loose and baggy seems too frat-house. Perhaps short shorts is a good way to go. Speedos are fun but where is our confidence level now…

I want to tell you, get the suit that you WANT that you think will give you a pep in your beach walking step. If one catches your eye online and you start thinking that maybe it’s going to be too revealing or worry about how your belly will respond (I think that often) forget those thoughts! We all want to look good but in the end we all NEED to feel good. Go for it.

635499466489518454

Have I always listen to this advice? Nope. I own a grey and orange swim thong that I have worn only outside of the US and I need to just wear it, because I want to. Yet, this summer when it came time to skip down to the beach. I did wear a new floral Timoteos speedo, it’s tiny and tight and I love it. I feel great and I am not currently in my best shape.

Speedo cuts aren’t for everyone and that’s fine. They shouldn’t be. If you don’t feel comfortable in them, don’t force it. I own a couple of super cute short shorts. Like my white and mint Sauvage pair and they are just as cute as any slicked tight suit I own. And they have their place in my drawer and on any beach I choose.

Don’t hide in suits that you think you SHOULD wear, be out there in the suits you WANT to wear. Cocksox is out with a new line of suits and if they are anything like some of their underwear…be prepared to be bold. Timoteos has some extremely cute suits out, so do N2N, Sauvage, and many more.

I like to wear whatever fancies me that day, which is why I own a variety of suits. When I want to get out and get a cute tan line and have my booty pop a bit, yeah, I jump into my speedo. It just fits the mood of the day and that’s exactly what it should do. When I was a bit of a “cute and flirty” look that is more effortless to wear, I pull out my mint trunks. They are so easy to wear. So easy to never have to think about while I’m wearing them (one speedo needs some constant adjustment in the dernier region). And when I kind of want to shock those around me and be a bit of a spectacle, I pull out the thong. Even when it is just my friends in a hot tub in Whistler, it’s fun. Swim suits aren’t one size fits all. They aren’t one suit fits all moods, it all comes down to you and what you want, when.

I’ve been out to the beach a lot this summer (yeah, in Seattle, we’re heating up over here). I know what I love most about it all…my swim suit tan line, a semi lasting impression of the fun I had at water’s edge in a great suit.

Model ProfileWe bring you another great interview. This time we feature Colby Melvin who has been modeling for a few companies over the years. Its amazing to see how his career has progressed over the years. Read the interview and find out more about him and what he’s doing behind the camera now!

What was your first modeling job and how did you come to get it?

It was for Bayou Beau Underwear in Houston, TX. I had just recently come out and they came to me at a pool party and asked if I would consider modeling for them. A few weeks later a was on the cover of the local magazine in their underwear. It all took of from there! That was back in 2011.

colby_web01

What made you want to pursue modeling?

Well I never considered it before Bayou Beau approached me. After, I just kept getting more requests for work. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do next so it started as just a temporary side job and turned into something bigger than I could have ever imagined.

Do you have a shoot that you consider your breakthrough in your career?

My shoot with Patrik Mark for Cover Male was my first national campaign, but once I shot “Jockstrap Cowboys” for Andrew Christian things really took off. That’s when I moved to Los Angeles.

colby+melvin+1

Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?

Splatter shot by Gabriel Gastellum. There was just something about getting messy in that paint where I felt like I was able to bring so much more energy and personality.

Which shoot has been your most challenging? Why?

A shoot I did in the Palm Springs desert for Freedom Reigns. I was wearing a jockstrap and there was a lot of wind. Every had your ass sandblasted? It’s not fun. Trust me, don’t try it.

Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?

I think I’ve worked with a ton of brands and photographers, but I am always looking for more collaborations. Recently I have decided to work more behind the camera. I am now working with Marco Marco as the marketing director. His underwear are so fun and full of personality and I can’t wait to bring my creative ideas to my mentors brand. I think people are going to be blown away when they see what we come up with.

What is something our readers don’t know about you outside of modeling that you want them to know?

I never expected any of this to happen. 5 years ago I was living in Mobile AL and still thought I liked girls. Once I allowed myself to be myself, all of this happened. So I encourage everyone to never be afraid to be yourself.

insta_1024x1024

What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?

For me the key to staying fit includes finding a way to make exercise fun. For instance, I literally dance around ALL day lol. Obviously working out is involved, but I’m not as strict with my routine as I’d like to be. Travelling non stop makes it pretty difficult.

Favorite cheat meal?

I love pizza…and gummy bears, cinnamon rolls, chicken wings, and thanks now I’m hungry.

Were you a fan of underwear before modeling?

Ever since I came out I’ve had a thing for underwear.

colby-cheapunders-watermark-city-view_1024x1024

Looking at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of?

70% briefs 30% jocks 0% thongs (I hate the feeling of my hole being flossed by a thong)

The craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn?

Petit Q (I don’t even know how to describe it.)

What are your goals for your career?

Underwear modeling for me has always been a platform to bigger and better job opportunities. Luckily that time has come. I am doing a lot more marketing work. Launched a clothing line earlier this year, and will soon be launching another one on my own.

What is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?

Authenticity always wins. Be you and the rest will follow. If not, then it wasn’t meant to happen. That being said, if you want something bad enough, you will find a way to make it happen.

Thanks Colby for answering our questions. Find Colby on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

ERGOWEAR-0331-MAX-Suave-Bikini-Vermouth

ErgoWear makes some incredible underwear! They are keeping up this trend with the new Vermouth Suave collection. ErgoWear calls this men’s lingerie. This may scare a few of you off but don’t let it. I think that term gets a bad wrap in the world of men’s underwear. Its a term used to make underwear to feel sexy. This is not a bad thing in underwear! We all want to feel sexy!

The new Vermouth collection is offered in three different styles in the Ergowear line up. Its featured in the Feel, X3D and Max Collections. The Feel has a revolutionary seamless 3-D designed pouch. The Max is a sporty look with the signature waistband and ergonomically designed pouch. The X3D is ErgoWears original take on underwear and features the amazing ergonomically designed pouch.

Vermouth comes in an amazingly soft fabric made out of  polyester-spandex microfiber blend. Ergowear sys it is “most advanced microfiber technology up to date, being ultra soft on the skin, with high elasticity, moisture expeling and faster frying, and is surprisingly resistant to abrasion”

The pairs that are offered in this collection are the Feel Suave Bikini, Feel Suave Mini Boxer and Feel Suave Thong, Max Suave Bikini, Max Suave Boxer, Max Suave Thong, X3D Suave Bikini, X3D Suave Mini Boxer and X3D Suave Thong. The line is only available in one color, which is pinkish/purple. The Max collection has a white waistband and the Feel and X3D have covered waistbands.

If you like this line check it out! Its super sexy and fun. Right now it’s on sale at Candyman Fashion site for 20% off with code vermouth. The sale ends tomorrow 8/10/15.

Why isn't men's underwear mainstream-I have been running UNB for 7 years. Over the years I have seen more mass market acceptance of men’s underwear. The rise of the Metrosexual made it more acceptable for straight guys to start paying attention to what they wore. However, we still have a very long way to go to make it a non issue in public.

Women’s underwear has always been a non issue in the general public. Victoria’s Secret every year around Thanksgiving has a show on network TV in prime time. Rarely is anything said about this in the media or in general. What if 2(X)ist did the same thing. Would they be on a network TV or a cable channel? Would we see guys walking the runway in anything but trunks and briefs? Doubtful.

Underwear is about feeling great. I know on the people reading this I am preaching to the choir. Is it sexy? Yes it is. Its is fun? Sure is. But why is it that we can have thonged Victoria Secret models but when David Beckham is in a Super Bowl commercial we talk about hiding his bulge? Its definitely a double standard in the US.

Recently we posted about musician Steve Grand and wearing swim briefs. He’s tired of the press, pardon the pun, covering him more for wearing a swim brief than this professional career. He’s a very talented artist and would we have the same coverage of a female star in the same situation. Sure they may post a paparazzi picture but they wouldn’t dwell on it and only cover her if she wore a bikini. It would be a bonus for her and more people would discover her music. There is definitely a double standard in our country.

Outside of the gay community guys, for the most part, don’t talk underwear. It’s still something that is giggled at and thought of as pornographic. I have first hand knowledge of this thought process. When people find out I run a blog about men’s underwear. I get one of two responses. The first is “WOW that’s so cool” or “You do what?” The second is always a bit weird like they just met Larry Flint. They think it’s a totally sexual thing with no redeeming factors. Like I just post pictures of guys and go “he’s hot”, “Look at that bulge”, “I want to tap that ass” and other stuff.

For me and the purpose of UNB is to spread the word about how underwear can make you feel better and sexy throughout the day. It’s about empowerment in what you wear without judgment. In 2008 when I launched UNB I figured the blog would be for my friends who loved underwear and it wouldn’t go much farther. After 7 years we have gathered quite a following. Our straight guys have grown as well. All guys want amazing underwear regardless of sexual orientation.

How are we going to accomplish breaking out of this double standard? Regardless of sexual orientation we need to talk about underwear. What brands we love and why we love them. If we wear underwear to the gym don’t be afraid to wear something that isn’t a white brief and if someone comments (good or bad) address it and say you wear what’s comfortable and makes you feel great. These are baby steps but sometimes that just how things get done, slowly but surely. So go out, wear what you like, and don’t be afraid to talk about it, to defend it. Underwear is about you but with continued dialogue we can help make it acceptable for us.

This is part two of our Model Profiles! This past Monday we ran the post on Morné’s husband Eric Turner. This is his interview. Both are truly amazing guys! I hope we see a lot more of Morné soon. He recently shot for Eric’s underwear line, Oryx!

What was your first modeling job and how did you come to get it?

A: a runway show for Ralph Lauren golf gear. Got it through a small sports modelling agency

What made you want to pursue modeling?

A: I would not say modelling is something that I pursued as such, it was more of a hobby and something I did for fun when I could fit it in around my day job.

Do you have a  shoot that you consider your breakthrough in your career?

A: the very first shoot I ever did, was with Joseph Sinclair. Up to that point I really didn’t believe that I could take good pictures, but after seeing the images from the shoot it changed my mindset and gave me belief in myself. If it wasn’t for that first shoot I probably never would have started modeling.

Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?

A: very difficult to say as they are all fun, but if I had to pick, probably shooting on location in Ibiza with Dylan Rosser. We were basically on an amazing holiday in an amazing place, and shot in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the world. It was also our first experience shooting together, which even tho we were nervous about it at first, it turned out to be a lot of fun and we really enjoyed working together!

Which shoot has been your most challenging? Why?

A: I did a shoot in a derelict building outside of London. It was a huge factory building that had stood in ruin for many years. We were in some places high up in the structure of the building shooting some of the raw backgrounds, but with holes in the floor with a clear drop of several story’s, stair cases would just end in mid air and we would have to climb up to get the next floor, even had to walk over a beam with sheer drops on either side of several story’s. It was a health and safety nightmare and in retrospect could have gone horribly wrong, but that added to the theme of the shoot and the pictures turned out great

IMG_5877Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?
Rick Day, Pat Lee and Luis Rafael

What is something our readers don’t know about you outside of modeling that you want them to know?

A: i have three passions in life. Animals, playing piano and food. My parents live on a wild life reserve in South Africa which is amazing. The reserve runs a lion conservation program. When I visit them I can spend hours just sitting there watching the lions and there are few things I find more fascinating than that. I also absolutely adore dogs. Even more than people I’d say lol. I taught myself how to play the piano and that is my favourite form of self expression and creative outlet. I just lose myself in the music and can sit there playing until my fingers cramp! Lastly I have a long standing love affair with food. I love being in the kitchen, trying new recipes and cooking for friends and family. Eating to me is an experience that brings people together and not just something you do to survive

What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?

A: Generally I try and eat as sensibly as I can. I avoid fats and simple carbs and eat a lot of lean meats, although I do have cheat meals. When I’m preparing for a shoot, I just stop the cheat meals and start increasing the cardio I do in the morning before breakfast.

Favorite cheat meal?

A: I have a massive sweet tooth and love cake, especially the ones I bake myself. I have a couple of kick ass recipes!

IMG_3084

Were you a fan of underwear before modeling?

A: Yes. Especially in photography. I find it incredibly sexy if done well

Looking at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of?  % boxer briefs, % briefs, % jocks, % thongs.

A: 50% briefs, 50% trunks

The craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn?

A: a cock sock. They are hideous but funny at the same time

What are your goals for your career?

A: I would like to be in senior management of my company in 5 years, be able to retire when I’m around 50 and start my own charity

What is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?

A: modelling has a shelf life. Don’t rely on it and have a career you can fall back on

We have along history with Eric Turner here at UNB. He has always supported us and been a good friend to the blog. He is one of the first models I ever met. He’s never had attitude, but he’s always been a pleasure to work with. He is also one of the funniest people I know! He’s now branched out and started his own line of underwear called Oryx

What was your first modeling job and how did you come to get it?

When I was 16 I knew a woman who was doing a runway show that involved hair modeling. She asked me to do it, so I did.

What made you want to pursue modeling?

I don’t know if I’d say modeling is something I’ve ever truly ‘pursued.’ It’s something I’ve always as a fun, side thing to everything else I have going on. It just so happens that it’s lead to other opportunities in my life, but I’ve never actually pursued the modeling.

Do you have a shoot that you consider your breakthrough in your career?

The first time I met with an agent, she looked at several photos I’d had taken, and then looked across her desk at me and said, “There’s nothing I can do to help you.” So I determined that I needed to be realistic about my modeling ‘expectations’ and get a real job. I moved to Phoenix a couple years later, and Carlos Arias tried to convince me to shoot. It took him a year to convince me to finally shoot, and after we did it opened up all sorts of other opportunities for me.

Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?

Morne’ and I shot with Dylan Rosser in Ibiza. Aside from Dylan being a really great and fun guy, the shoot was an excuse for a vacation in paradise. When we weren’t shooting with Dylan, we were experiencing everything the Mediterranean had to offer: incredible food, amazing scenery and sunsets, and some of the most incredible beaches in the world. They say that everything in life is better when you have someone to share it with, and it just ended up being an incredible experience, being able to experience it with Morne’.

Which shoot has been your most challenging? Why?

The first time I shot with Pat Lee in Chicago, it was the day before a bodybuilding show. As such, I was very depleted, with low energy, and little water. We ended up getting incredible shots, but I’ve never cramped so bad in all my life, as when I was trying to flex and hold poses for Pat.

Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?

Now having started my own brand of underwear, Oryx, it’s been my main focus for shoots. I’ve been really lucky to have worked with some world-class photographers. Of anyone I can think I’d want to shoot with, it’s Simon Le, in Australia. But the distance has posed a problem. And if he was still living, I’d JUMP at the opportunity to shoot with Herb Ritts. He was an incredible photographer, and every one of his images has become iconic when thinking about the male figure. Two I would also like to work with are Serge Lee and Tibo Norman

What is something our readers don’t know about you outside of modeling that you want them to know?

I’m actually really shy and get really bad social anxiety around people I don’t know. If I’m at a house party, I’ll always be up against the wall, minding my own business- and never the guy who is the life of the party, unless I feel really comfortable with the people who are there.

What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?

When I’m prepping for a shoot I increase my cardio slowly over the weeks preceding the shoot, and I start cycling my carbs. It’s unhealthy to go completely low carb. So I’ll have days where I do low carb to draw the fat out, but then days with medium and high carbs to re-energize myself.

Favorite cheat meal?

Cake, cookies, and ice cream. I LOVE baked goods.

Were you a fan of underwear before modeling?

Absolutely. I had several drawers full of underwear, most of them I’d never even wear.

Looking at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of? % boxer briefs, % briefs, % jocks, % thongs.

I’d say 60% briefs, 30% trunks, and 10% boxer briefs. No thongs and no jock straps.

The craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn?

As a gag one year for Halloween I wore a thong that had an elephant trunk in the front.

What are your goals for your career?

To build Oryx to be a lifestyle brand that comes to people’s minds when they think of quality and great fitting underwear.

What is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?

Be realistic. Honestly, the best thing that ever happened to me was the agent who told me that I’d never be a model. It made me realize how fickle this industry is. A model can be the most perfect model one person has ever seen, and to the person next to them they can be hideous looking. That experience helped me to realize that if I was ever going to do any modeling, that it needed to be something I did on the side, because I’d never make a living out of it- at least not a long-term career. Most models have such unrealistic expectations. At any given time, there are 5 or 6 supermodels in the world, and none of them are male. So having realistic expectations of what to expect out of a ‘modeling career’ is critical to not only not be disappointed, but having a real job that’s going to provide for you.
