The show is over and it was a good day for UNB at the show. I was accompanied by The Thonged Ginger. We met with Tulio, Skull & Bones, UnderJeans, Ginch Gonch, Cocksox, 2EROs, Olaf Benz, Man Store, Gregg Homme, and Freedom Reigns, now known as FR. It was a full day! I say that because I only now get one day at the show rather than the entire week

We had an issue with registration for the first time ever. We went to the Press registration and was told we didn’t have access to the Project Show. Being calm I was like “WHAT?” I register about a month out of the show and get a confirmation. They were about to send us to another area when they contacted the PR person and found out we were good to be press.

Here are some of the highlights. I won’t go into a lot of detail because when new lines are coming out we will write them up.

  • 2EROS turns 10 this year! They will be revisiting some classic 2EROS from the first year and release some amazing prints in swimwear (not like that’s a surprise)
  • Tulio is sending us some lace, Tulio is known for doing some great stuff in swim and underwear but he’s sending us lace to review. One of his biggest sellers currently
  • SKull & Bones really impressed me with their gear. The prints are just amazing. Just wait to you see whats coming up next for them. Super fun and it’s for the print lover
  • Olaf Benz and Manstore – These now have a US distributor! This was one of the most exciting things of the entire show. SO many guys love both brands but having to order from overseas makes it difficult to get. Not anymore. We will be informing you where and how you can get both of these
  • UnderJeans continue to make amazing swimwear. Which will come soon and super fun work out wear? Just in case you forgot they have rebranded from Junk UnderJeans
  • Ginch Gonch, you thought they were gone, didn’t you? They have something very classic coming up. It caught my eye in their booth.
  • Cocksox has a new Italian mesh line that is out now. I saw the email go out on Thursday. More on that next week. They have some amazing new colors in swimwear! I think you guys are going to go crazy for the mesh.
  • FR (Freedom Reigns) is all about workout wear and swimwear. They have some underwear but shifted the focus for the brand. The new gear looks amazing. Also, I have one hint of something in the line. Flamingos. That’s all I’m saying.
  • Wood Underwear – They have new prints coming out and later this year a color you don’t see a lot of in men’s underwear. Which I personally loved.
  • Gregg Homme lastly is the brand I needed to catch up with. They continue to amaze me and create super fun underwear. I got to see the new line, the first time in two years. They do amazing undies.

Some Show takeaways

  • The attendance on the last day seemed to be down. I’m not sure if this was just what was happening or me missing the other days.
  • Fewer brands go every year. There were the brands above. I remember where there were 27+ brands. Many are seeing it more advantageous to do everything online.
  • Placement of the brands varies. Last show they had a great location and this time they were back in the corner again.

I love Vegas and the shows. No telling what the future will hold.

It’s time to Vote for your favorite swimwear. Each year we see more and more brands making amazing swimwear. This year was no different. We hope you guys took out Swim Brief or Swim Thong challenge. It seems more are taking the swim thong! Either way, it’s great guys are wearing some awesome swimwear. Make sure you VOTE on our UNB 2018 Reader Awards ballot.

Best Swimwear

I found my love of thongs many years ago, both as underwear and swimwear.  For obvious reasons like many others, my interest started out as a rush that I would get when putting on a pair of sexy underwear, but it has become so much more than that for me now.  I wear underwear that makes me feel good, just as we dress nicely to make us feel better about ourselves.  For me putting on a pair of well-fitting undies is no different than when I put on a dressy shirt or slide on a well-crafted pair of shoes.  When something feels good, it makes you feel good.  Period.  And when you feel good, it makes others notice that you are confident about yourself.

I started posting pictures to social media sometime last summer, and for all the wrong reasons.  I began posting pictures to Instagram last year for attention, and not to share my love of thongs and other underwear.  I was quickly consumed with getting as many likes as possible instead of promoting brands, normalizing well fitting underwear for men, and talking and answering questions about what to wear and where to find it!  I met Tim from UNB over Instagram last summer who gave me an outlet in the form of blogging that has allowed me to express my interests and share with others without simply showing off pictures of myself in skimpy undies.  I now use a mix of personal and stock photos paired with opinions, brand awareness, and underwear reviews to share my interests with a very wide audience!

I have taken my leadership courses throughout my career and one of the things I have heard from many presenters as a tactic to conquer the fear of public speaking is to picture everyone in their underwear.  It is supposed to normalize everyone and make you feel more at ease.  I have taken that to heart and incorporated another step in that I use my underwear to boost my own confidence as well.  Knowing that when we get ready to go to a job interview or have a big meeting at work we all tend to dress to the nines that we are subconsciously doing so for our benefit and not anyone else’s wearing nice underwear is just like wearing a nice pair of socks, a sharp tie, or a polished pair of shoes.  It simply adds to the whole ‘put-together” look that is portrayed by many successful and confident men.  Feeling good about yourself is one of the first steps to showing others that you are confident in yourself and your actions!

I wear thongs almost exclusively on the beach and to the pool.  I absolutely wear them because I love being in the sun and the tan lines they leave!  Being as free as you are when wearing nothing but a thong outdoors is one of my favorite feelings in the world.  I don’t have any interest in being nude on the beach-I really enjoy the feeling of wearing a thong, as well as all of the different color and design choices we have to choose from to express ourselves.  Also, knowing that I am wearing something so tiny in public where it isn’t expected is quite the rush, but definitely isn’t the main reason I wear them!

To recap, wearing sexy underwear is the first step to building my confidence from the base level.  I enjoy the way that I look and feel when wearing a nice pair of thong underwear, and knowing that nobody but me knows that I have them on under my slacks at work is pretty fun too!  I know it kinda breaks up the monotony of the business workplace for me knowing that I am not following the “norms” of society.  I want to continue to share my love and interest of thongs with others and help to normalize guys wearing thongs and other types of sexy undies!

So for this week, our Editor-in-Chief Tim wanted us to write on ways underwear has empowered us or given us confidence. Rather than talk about the typical “Wearing sexy underwear helps me feel more confident” concept, I took this idea in a slightly different direction.
I’ve never really been happy with my body. I’m short and skinny, not the type of guy you see as an action hero star. Underwear has helped me make peace with myself somewhat over my body image. It’s extremely unlikely for me to find a shirt, let alone pants, that fit me well in a physical store. Underwear is the only article of clothing that I can walk into a store, buy something in my size, and know it will fit me. That is a much bigger deal than at first glance.
Additionally, underwear helps me feel more confident about my body type. With short legs, I don’t feel the boxer-brief style that dominates popular culture these days looks that good on me. Thankfully, I have discovered the world of designer underwear, where I have plenty of other options than just boxer-briefs. I can wear pairs like bikinis and thongs not simply for their sex appeal, but for how I feel they work with my body type. Since I can’t really make myself have longer legs, might as well wear something that makes them look longer, right? Going with pairs that have practically no thigh coverage helps that out.
So while yes, wearing sexy underwear can sometimes give me confidence in myself as a person, that it can make me feel better about the body I inhabit as well as distinct and just as important.
In what ways does underwear give you confidence or empowers you?

Underwear Empowerment - The Bottom Drawer

Who would’ve thought that underwear could empower you? The thought never crossed my mind in my teens when I started my journey into the interest of skimpy underwear. I just thought bikinis and thongs were very sexy looking on the ladies. That soon turned into an interest of wondering what wearing bikinis and thongs would be like. I never knew it would lead to more than wearing something I thought looked sexy.

I knew when I slipped on my first pair of string bikini underwear I got at Kmart that there was something special about them. How special I did not know. What I did know is I liked how they looked and felt on and that I wanted to try the others that Kmart carried at the time. When I wore them I always felt great in them. Was awesome knowing I was wearing something I thought was sexy that I never saw other guys my age or any age wearing.

College is when I really got into pursuing the underwear realm. I sought out other like-minded individuals and places that offered sexier men’s underwear online. I got my first thong from Undergear, which was a g-string to try. That stepped up the game even more of wearing skimpy underwear for me. During my sophomore year, I made the ultimate decision to make the complete switch to wearing only bikinis and thongs. No one knew of my bikinis and thongs except my girlfriend at the time. She seemed to be into me wearing them. I was discreet in my changing so roommates didn’t see, which none I’m aware of did find out my choice.

Throughout my journey to the all-out switch, I always knew that wearing a bikini or thong changed my mood. I’m sure I attributed it to a horny teenager and college student. Now I know there is more to it than that. A big thing that a good fitting pair that holds things nicely, moves well with you is it brings on confidence. A pair that makes you feel sexy when you slip it on does wonders to one’s confidence too. Being confident in oneself leads to empowerment.

How has underwear empowered me? Well, here I am writing about underwear. It’s brought me to blogging, which is a bit funny. I always dreaded writing. It took me forever to write things throughout school. Still takes me time, but having a passion for underwear seems to help writing flow a bit better. Guess you could say it has empowered me to be a voice for the guys that do and/or want to wear sexier styles of underwear. Now I can be one of the people that I was looking for when I got into bikinis and thongs. I could probably argue it has helped improve my writing skills too.

Another thing my underwear has empowered me to do is get out of my comfort zone. I’m not one that likes to stand out, which my underwear choice would do. But I’ve come to the point I want to lead by example in my underwear journey. So I’ve started being less concern about who sees me when I’m changing in places like a locker room. I don’t go out of my way to make sure people see me, but I try to be less discreet than the past. The hope is if someone does get a glimpse; it may get them interested in trying something skimpy. This has spilled over to swim briefs too. I finally started wearing them at the local beaches last summer instead of only on vacations. This was the biggest push out of my comfort zone since I’m not outgoing and try to avoid awkward situations. What do you know, I survived the experience. Still, work to be done, but I feel like I’m ready to continue on with it.

My passion for bikinis and thongs drives me to get the word out that they aren’t just for showing off to your partner. This goes for both sexes. People need to know how wearing something sexy for oneself can boost one’s self-confidence, put some pep in that step, and that it’s okay to feel sexy for yourself. Let’s break the societal norms of what one should wear. Start letting underwear empower you and spread it on to others.

What are you guys wearing for Valentine’s Day? This was a fun poll to run. Sorry about some of the issues with the poll. Our poll provider TypeForm updated it’s interface and changed so many things. Including not taking out blank spaces and putting in Option #. But enough of the meta.

Let’s go through what you guys are going to wear!

I love you guys. 21% said they always wear sexy undies regardless of holidays. But 48% of you guys are going to wear something special for Valentine’s Day.

Well, it’s no surprise that more than half of you guys are going to wear a thong or bikini. Thong taking the top spot surprised me. I was expecting a bikini or brief to take that spot.

Most of you guys are going to wear a spandex pair or mesh. But there is a good portion of you in others picking bamboo or cotton. Two materials I didn’t think of including. But when I think about all the great pairs made in them. I should have!

Where you guys wearing them. Most are going to spend it at home but a few of you are going out on the town.

The most of you guys are married but you single guys are representing! It proves that you wear undies regardless of if you’re single or married.

Some of the brands you guys will be wearing are:

  • 2(X)Ist
  • A Brand from my work (I want to know who you work for!!!)
  • Andrew Christian
  • aussieBum
  • Baskit
  • Calvin Klien or Andrew Christian
  • Garçon Model
  • Gregg Homme
  • Gregg Homme or Candyman
  • Joe Snyder
  • N2N Bodywear
  • Nasty Pig
  • Not Sure yet
  • Not sure yet, but definitely a thong
  • Sukrew
  • Toot
  • Whatever is next in line in the drawer

This is the part that shows you guys are your own man. However, I felt we would have some guys letting their partner pick out a pair. But alas, no one did!

We hope you enjoy these results and have an awesome Valentine’s Day. I will be spending it in Vegas, which there could be worse places to spend it.

PetitQ last year put out, I think, 8 different collections. Each one built on the previous collection. We start off 2018 with a new collection. I wanted to focus on some of the lace pairs in this collection. PetitQ has always embraced lace in men’s underwear. This collection continues the Lace tradition.

Boxer Briefs Ereac – Some pairs have a little lace but this boxer brief is made from stretch material. The is lace and is semitransparent and a stretch material.Colors available in black or white.

Thongs Ornex – This is, mark my words, going to be one of the more popular pairs in the collection. This lace thong is super sexy and has a fun design. The lace pouch is semitransparent with the lace material. The two straps on the side give it a bit of a fem look that is so popular in men’s underwear. Colors available in black and green.

Harness Taranis – Harnesses are becoming very popular. I have seen more this past year than any year previous. They are starting to come in all shapes and materials. Lace is a new material that mixes with the masculine garment. PetitQ has created this pair to go with either pair above. The picture features the boxer brief. However, I could see this with the thong.

All pairs are made out of a Polyester/Spandex blend. Making them very form fitting. Lace has become a mainstay in the world of men’s underwear. The old rules of men’s underwear are out the window and brands like PetitQ are writing their own rules. PetitQ is really having fun and creating awesome undies for underwear lovers across the world.

If you love these make sure you go to the PetitQ site and check out the entire collection. We will bring you more about this line shortly! But enjoy these awesome lace pairs.

Valentine’s Day is about love and passion! Some of us will have it and others of us will celebrate Singles Day! This post you have me the single guy giving you two recommendations and Osgon and UNB Ryan who each has a significant other give his suggestions. Don’t be sad I’m used to the single life! And dating will happen when it happens.

UNB Tim’s Recommendation

Just because you are single doesn’t mean you can’t wear great undies. I have two suggestions for you for the big night of watching Netflixing and chilling alone. The first pair is the Cocksox CX01 Bikini. This is hands down one of the best pairs to make you feel great. The bikini gives what you got a bit of a lift and shows it off! The fabric is amazing and fits very well. It’s super fun and I feel super sexy when I wear them.

Another pair that I LOVE is another bikini! It’s the Ergowear Suave X3D Bikini. The X3D is my favorite pouch. Followed by the Max and Feel pouches. The pouch is great but the fabric really makes the Suave collection. It’s amazingly soft and feels amazing on you. Those are the two things that I look for most!

Being single isn’t about not wearing great underwear because no one will see it. You know you are wearing it! So break it out and enjoy!

Osgon’s Recommendations

I’ve always viewed Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to try a new and daring pair of underwear.  This might include a designer that’s new to me, or it might be a style that I don’t wear on a typical day.  I also use VD as an excuse to spend a little more on a pair of underwear, especially if I think my husband might appreciate my extra effort.

In past years my selections included a variety of jocks, thongs and g-strings in varying fabrics and colors.  Silk, cotton, microfiber, pleather, and even leather have made a Valentine’s Day appearance.  A favorite from many years ago was a red silk contour thong from the now gone Undergear.

If you’ve never tried silk, you should.  Silk is always appropriate for special occasions such as Valentine’s Day.  It’s a sexy, unisex fabric.  Whether you choose a boxer, bikini, thong, or g-string silhouette, silk provides a smoothness and a coolness next to your skin that is unmatched.

If you’re looking to step outside your comfort zone and try silk underwear, online Retailer His Room currently offers two different silk knit thongs by Magic Silk.  I recommend both.  The first (featuring a moniker waistband) is on sale for $16.10.  The second (without a branded waistband) sells for $15.75.

Other silhouettes and colors are also available at www.hisroom.com at varying prices.

UNB Ryan recommendation

I don’t get too excited about Valentine’s Day, but will absolutely use it as another excuse to buy some new cute underwear. If you’ve read anything I have written in the past you’ll know that my favorite thing to wear is a thong, both as underwear and swimwear. Unfortunately living in North Carolina it’s gonna be too cold to wear my swim thong on Valentine’s Day so I’ll have to settle for a sexy pair under my pants!

For this Valentine’s Day I plan to wear my white Joe Snyder Sock It Thong. It is crafted out of white lace, which is perfect for a sext Valentine’s Day surprise for your spouse or partner. I am married, and try to think about what my wife will like to see me in when picking out a date night outfit. Picking out my underwear is the first step. First, I always pick something that suits my mood and what we’ll be doing. Next, I always try to find something that will be exciting for her to see me in! Last, I always want something that accentuates my better features. For me I definitely think that’s my booty!

I found the Joe Snyder Sock-It thong on https://joe-snyder.us/onestepcheckout/index/. It currently retails for $30.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I thought this would be a great time to talk about us single guys and underwear. I have been single longer than I have been dating. My last serious relationship was 10 years ago. First, let me preface this by saying this is not a post about “WHY AM I SINGLE?” I’m happy being single and when something happens it happens! I am open to it but just haven’t found that right person yet.

Underwear has always been an important thing to me. I have pretty much worn it for me not others. My first like is comfort in underwear. It has to fit great and hold everything in place. If it’s too small or too big, it’s like “what’s the point?” Next, comes the pouch. I’m not after an enhancing pouch, I have more than enough to fill one! I want one that gives me amazing support, with the least amount of hassle. Lastly, I want to feel sexy in my undies. Its more often than not, that no one will see my undies, but I know it’s there!

A bonus about being single and underwear are, you don’t have a partner who would say “What are you wearing”, “Um no take that off” or any other negative. We can feel free to try whatever we want without anyone saying anything. I think we should be more adventurous. But that’s just my opinion. I know when I have experimented most is when I am single. I tried my first thong at about 18 or 19. If I had a partner I”m not sure I would have bought one back then.

I know we have readers who feel the same that single guys should wear amazing undies. It’s not about wearing it for anyone but you! Pick out whatever fabric, color, or style and rock it all day long. It’s about doing something for you and giving you amazing confidence! So wear great undies no matter single, dating, or married. But if single go have fun with the undies!

Pikante labels its Victory line as a brief, shown here in red, but it fits more like a trunk. The back is see through mesh – perfect for Valentine’s Day! The cut-outs beside the pouch provide the illusion of coverage while also proving the wearer has a playful side. The 83% nylon & 17% fabric offers ample support where it counts. This item sells for $20 at Pikante’s website.

Dallas-based designers Marek & Richard carry traditional basics, but their best sellers trend toward the irreverent. This, their Devil Jockstrap, features a Valentine-appropriate heart tail in the back and a sequined red bow tie above the 92% cotton and 8% spandex contoured, anatomical pouch. It’s a bit pricey at $38.50 on Marek & Richard’s website, but consider it an investment you hope to wear on multiple occasions.

Finally, if you’re looking for something that’s NSFW, check out the Daddy DDK010 Slip Thong (shown here in red). At $14.99 on Mensuas’ website, it’s sure to provide great bang for the buck. The minimalist pouch covers your manhood with a fabric composed of 89% polymide and 11% spandex. The metallic O-ring above the pouch provides a shiny accent to what lies beneath.

This Valentine’s Day, choose to wear something that excites both you and your intended!

Have you been wanting to try fetishwear? A singlet, leather, rubber, mesh or any other type of nontraditional underwear fabric. Mixed in with a sexy barely there style? Have a wild side that needs to come out? You are in luck right now. Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to try something new! I think it’s one of the few times you can go a little wild and not get the “What are you wearing?” question.

Step 1: Discover your Fetish

If you want to try something you need to find out what you feel best wearing. What is it you are going to put on that will make you feel super sexy? Is it a leather jock with a harness? Maybe a lace thong. Could it be spandex gear? Only you know what gets you going. And note it’s ok to mix gear with each other. Such as leather with lace.

Step 2: Buy Your Gear

When starting off don’t go overboard and buy super expensive gear. There is a difference in loving the look of something and wearing it. It may be uncomfortable or hard to put on. My suggestion is to find some reasonably priced gear and give it a try first. If you like it then build a collection.

Step 3: Plan your night

If you are going into a situation with a partner not into what gear you are into, plan an evening that is conducive to slowly introducing your fetish gear. Drop hints leading up to the night too. If you have a very open partner just tell them you are going to wear something new and different that you really love. If your partner is more conservative don’t go all out at first. If you love leather coming out in boots, harness, jock, hat, vest and/or mask.

Step 4: Talk to your partner after

Get your partners opinion after “coming out” as a gear lover. Did they like it or not. Why did they feel that way? Communication is key. I have had partners who never got things I liked. It can be an emotional let down to have your partner ask “What are you wearing?” in a judgemental way. I’ve been there! I still have a memory of this with an ex.

Just go have fun on Valentine’s Day and make it a fetish night! Let that freak flag fly!

Do you wear bikinis? If not I have to ask why don’t you! It’s one of the most popular styles of readers of UNB. I would say in the last year bikinis and thongs have grown in popularity with our readers. Gone are the days of trunks and boxers. You guys want something super sexy, skimpy and fun! Bruno Men’s Wear is a company that is making some seriously amazing undies.

I think we are going to see a lot more from them, especially in the US Market. They are out of Mexico so they aren’t far so we don’t have to worry about too many taxes on their gear. The pair that I saw that I LOVE is the Bulge Bikini. This would be classified more as a string bikini than a regular bikini.

The waistband is white and thin. As we have said many times that a bikini should have a small waistband. The pouch and back are made out of a spandex blend fabric. The front has a full pouch that will hold you comfortably. While the back is a fullback. I know many out there hate a half back when it comes to a bikini. The fabric will make it super comfortable for all-day wear. Available in yellow and blue.

This to me is one of the sexiest pairs I have seen. I like undies that show off but doesn’t show it all off. Bikinis do that with a pouch and fullback. When I wear them it just makes me feel sexy and gives me extra confidence. If you’re in the market to get some great undies, I suggest looking at Brunno Men’s Wear!

Many of you guys are looking for fun and different underwear. There is a brand that makes great prints, awesome fabrics, and super fun pairs. That brand that delivers that on a regular basis is Marco Marco. One of the newest lines they have released is the Black Velvet line. This line is available in a brief and a thong.

The Black Velvet is an interesting line. First, it looks like the little black brief. But, it’s something a bit more. The brief has the super sexy mesh back. Both pairs have the black velvet pouch. The best thing about the pouch in both pairs is the soft black velvet material is on the outside and the inside. It’s great to see a company like Marco Marco to pay attention to these details.

The waistband in these features the double M design. This design I think is perfect for the line. The mesh on the brief is a 4-way stretch that will fit you amazing while showing off your assets. Making this the perfect pair for Valentines Day. You can find both of these on the Marco Marco site!

Baskit Pure LineDo you want underwear that matches your ecological ideals? A line that takes in account organic fabrics. Dyes and materials that are eco-friendly? The Pure line from Baskit is that line! It was created with all thongs things in mind. It has been around for a few years but it wasn’t renewed until now.

The fabric of the PURE line is 100% certified organic cotton. What is organic cotton? According to Organiccottonplus.com, it’s “Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture”

The dyes are also eco-friendly. Baskit describes them as “earth friendly. The color of the dyes is Plam Green and Charcoal grey. There is also a white pair as well. The waistband is a beefy, 1.5” waistband with a masculine, charcoal grey, and palm green design. This is across all designs.

The sizes and colors are limited! The current styles listed on the Baskit site are boxer brief, brief, jock, jock brief, and low rise trunk. If you are a fan of this line or want to try it, get it now! Before it’s gone!

You know the eternal mantra in fashion that ‘less is more’? At Deadgoodundies that’s always translated perfectly into sales. The smaller the product, the better it sells on this UK website dedicated to male undies and swimwear. Thongs have always been a best seller, for years rivalled – but always beaten – by micro/bikini briefs. But now tanga cuts are nudging their way to the top. Men like the minimal fabric, maximum room to manoeuvre an active body and a flat waistband that serves as side straps. But most of all the sporty look works best with the athleisure fashion trend.

A tanga by any other name. Different brands call men’s underwear cuts by different names, but a tanga is basically two triangles of fabric suspended from a smart waistband, and joined underneath. Designed well, these underpants offer good coverage and support – and maximum style. The MAX XV also happens to boost the boys beautifully!

ERGOWEAR MAX XV BIKINI £24.00

If you’re already a tanga man, Modus Vivendi is a go-to collection for undies that enhance and flatter the male physique. Their colourful cotton tanga trios are quite a treat…

Modus Vivendi Cotton Tanga Multipack (3 Pack) £36.00

Of course it’s essential the cut of a tanga is absolutely perfect. HOM’s version comes in the softest cotton modal fabric that still offers just the right support.

A subtly sporty option in white, black, grey or a great deep blue.

HOM Classic Tanga Brief £18.00

Teeny tiny tanga kini… Minimalists will adore the colours and contours of Joe Snyder’s famous tangas. This one comes in a single size only to fit 28″-36″ waist. Always a huge choice from this collection on DGU.

Joe Snyder Candy Kini 12 £24.00

If you prefer something more sensual then Manstore is the name to watch. This double strap design is just one example of a constant supply of sexy underwear for men from designers who delight in risqué.

Manstore M712 Micro Tanga £30.00

The thing about a great tanga on DGU is that it will sell out FAST. This Rio Tanga from Olaf Benz has been an instant hit – perhaps because of the intense colours or the shimmering fabric. Again, one of many from a collection that’s never shy of showing off.

Olaf Benz 1763 Rio Tanga £31.00

The weather in the Eastern part of the US has been crazy. We are warm one minute and below freezing the next. It’s not the weather you would normally talk about swimwear. Unless Gregg Homme released their new line of swimwear. Their swimwear is not as sensual as their underwear. I’m not claiming that it’s boring either. But, when you go from leather and see-through material. Their swimwear is always amazing.

There are four new lines. They are the Cruising Collection, Flamed Collection, and Sea Reef Collection. The last you may recognize the name! Here is a brief overview of the new pairs

Cruising Collection

The new Cruising collection comes in three different styles. They are Boxer Brief, Thong, and Brief. This is a more color block collection. Available in Red, Grey, or Khaki.  Lastly, this line has a matte finish to the fabric.

The pricing for the line is:

  • $60 for the boxer brief
  • $34 for the thong
  • $50 for the brief.

Cruising Brief

The Cruising Thong

The Crusing Boxer Brief

Flamed Collection

Looking to spice up your swimwear with a bit of color? The new Flamed Collection has a bold vivid print! The line comes in a Boxer Brief, Thong, and a Brief. The fabric is a matte finish just like the cruising line. The colors are just the print!

The pricing for the line is:

  • $60 for the boxer brief
  • $33 for the thong
  • $50 for the brief.

Seareef Collection

Swimwear should be bright and fun! Unlike the other collections, the Sea Reef one is a solid with two stripes. The colors of this collection just POP. It’s my favorite of the collection. The colors of the line are Grey, Orange, or Aqua.  These will make a statement on the beach. Just like the other collections it’s available in a boxer brief, brief, and thong

The pricing for the line is:

  • $69 for the boxer brief
  • $54 for the thong
  • $62 for the brief.

As we ease into 2018, the UNB Staff has each made a resolution to try a couple of new styles throughout the year. We all have our different likes and dislikes, and hopefully, you will be able to find one of us to relate to and reach out to for underwear advice. Read below to see if our resolutions are anything like ours, and don’t hesitate to let us know if we’ve missed something that you think we need to be looking at throughout the year!

 UNB Ryan:

Two brands I really want to try in 2018 are Body Aware and JOR. I am attracted to the variety of styles each designer offers for different reasons. Body Aware offers many styles that blur the line between male and female, as well as masculine and feminine. Body Aware uses numerous styles and fabrics I think would make any guy feel sexy. Jor offers a modern approach to underwear and swimwear with daring styles and vibrant color choices. I am particularly interested in trying out some of their workout wear. I love the feel and look of a sexy thong paired with a set of skin-tight leggings in the gym, and can’t wait to try some this year!

 UNB Tim:

The brand I want to try this year is L’Homme Invisible. They are a brand we have covered over the years. They have a unique design aesthetic. They are creating lingerie for men. Not that it’s all lace and such but it’s to make the man feel sexy. I have asked a few people about the brand and they all love brands. Men’s underwear is more than everyday wear. We need underwear that makes us feel sexy and fun. I think this brand will make me feel sexy and awesome. My goal this year is to try more brands outside the US. This will be the first of many to come!

Cocksox

Underwear Dude:

This year I am looking to keep doing what I’ve been doing for the last few years, keep trying new brands and getting more from my favorites. I don’t have any brands, in particular, I’ll have to see what catches my eye this year. Though I do have a Cocksox gift card waiting for me to decide what to get with it. As for styles, I’ve tried most of them already. I am thinking about wearing the few jocks I have more often this year to try and see if I actually like the style or not.

UNB Mike:

Brands and styles I want to try in 2018:

Cellblock 13 – I love the sporty/fetish look and the color combos are great.

Body Aware – They have some awesome lace pairs that I really want to try. There are also some cuts like their tangas that look super hot. I’ve never had anything from them so I’m up for trying any (and all!) pairs.

Modus Vivendi – There are so many great pairs and lines that I want to try here! The hip-hop 90s and Dali pairs look awesome, and they’re about the only brand that does lace in awesome masculine colors.

Colors – I’ve come to the realization that a lot of my underwear is black. I probably pick that a lot because it’s usually a default color option, plus it always looks sleek, classy and sexy as hell. But I’d really like to venture out into some more colors this year. The brands above all have great color options so I don’t see that being a problem.

Fetish/gear – Already covered somewhat with Cellbock, but I’m really drawn to the sporty and kinky side of some of the fetish and gear options. I love that most people consider it to be so outlandish and wild and they could never picture someone they know wearing it. There are so many options with leather, lace, neoprene, black, colors, sporty, super kinky, etc. Bring it all on this year!

The Bottom Drawer:

I’ve been eyeing some of the more expensive brands like Olaf Benz, Manstore, and Gregg Homme. They have some bikinis and thongs that look pretty nice. Plus I’ve heard positive things about the brands. I probably won’t be splurging on them though. A brand I may give a try this year is Modus Vivendi. Their low cut and mini briefs have been drawing my attention in both underwear and swimwear. I also like their unique take with their marketing photos for some of their lines. Last year I tried Bruno Banani for the first time. The fit of the thong I tried impressed me. Now I wouldn’t mind trying one of their tanga briefs. There are lots out there I’d like to try, but these are a few on my radar.

The Thonged Ginger:

I’m very happy with my thongs and a few other choices, but I would like to get a Brazilian cut bikini, those look pretty sexy.

Joe Snyder Bulge thong– I have heard a lot of good things about these thongs and i want to try them for myself.

Mckillop– these just look good to me for some reason and I want to give them a try.

These are the big brands the rest are smaller manufacturers.

 Dustin:

 ERGOWEAR

I actually have tried one pair of Ergowear – a thong that was a gift.  However, it’s definitely a size too small so I’m not counting it as a real shot.  Their underwear looks nice and simple but the pouch is pretty unusual.  I like having room up front and have definitely become more particular about pouches over the past few years.  For me, I have everyday underwear and “fun” underwear and Ergowear seems like it might be a good blend of both.

The first pair I would try: the Suave Bikini.

JOR

I’ve been coming across JOR here and there for years and just haven’t pulled the trigger.  Next time they’re having a great sale, I will have to get a pair.  I have always thought their brand was fun, from the waistband to all to colors/combinations.  Again, most of their stuff is pretty simple in style/cut, but with a twist that might make an everyday pair just a bit more fun.

The first pair I would try: the Soft Navy Bikini & the Tayrona Bikini.

BODYAWARE

I do have some Bodyaware that I received for review through this site.  I’ve always told UNB Tim I’m open to reviewing any style – so he sent me something I’d never tried!  Let me say that I have an underwear obsession, but am not into women’s underwear.  I’ve meet many guys that are, and that’s cool, but it just isn’t my thing.  So, I never really thought I would like something from Bodyaware, but after wearing the Greek God, it definitely got me interested in trying more of their gear.  A lot of their stuff really is lingerie for men, and in a world of basic bitches who only wear black boxer briefs, I love that there’s a brand that will go WAY outside the box and create styles that clearly have a demand, but might not be as socially acceptable.

The first pair I would try: the Rare Earth Thong and the Glistening Satin G-String.

I hope that you are able to take some inspiration from one of us before we get too far into the year. If you have any questions about any of the styles above, or if you have a suggestion about a style you’d like to see featured in the future, please drop us a line and let us know!

Regular readers of this site know the importance and benefits of wearing great looking underwear. The confidence boost, sex appeal and overall feeling it gives you is all the reason you need to ditch the 3-pack of saggy department store boxer briefs. But if you’re new to the wonderful world of underwear, or just want some suggestions on new pairs to wear on a date night or the upcoming Valentine’s Day, we have you covered. I’ll give you some options based on how long you’ve been with a person, and whether your tastes run mild to wild.

First date

If this is your first time out with a guy or girl, or even if you’re out with friends and think that there’s a chance you might be showing someone your underwear, it’s always a good bet to go classy yet sexy. You don’t want to scare someone off if he or she isn’t expecting something like a leather jock on the first night. Therefore, choose something black, simple and sophisticated.

Mild

Black trunks in a high-end fabric benefit you and your partner. You get to look, and feel great, plus your partner gets the hint early on that you’re capable of doing better than Hanes from Target. The 2(x)ist Speed Mesh No Show Trunk shows that you care how you look, even if you’re 99% naked. It’ll give you the confidence from the start to make this work! It also sets the stage that your underwear choices will be a step above the normal guy.

Wild

Sticking with black but also not going too crazy, black briefs are a classic can’t miss. There will be plenty of opportunities to show your crazy and kinky side; the first date isn’t necessarily one of those times. There is nothing better for this than a Calvin Klein

Steel Micro Hip Brief. It’s an amazing feel and if someone has a problem with you wearing this, they’re not for you. Rock this on the first night and you’ll have no worries about showing them your wild side soon!

A few dates in

By this point, you’re comfortable enough with a person where they should know the type of underwear you prefer. You and your partner might be to the point of getting down to your underwear when you’re sober or in daylight!

Mild

Even if you lean towards the mild side, you can still show some thought and effort to all aspects of your outfit. You had a solid start with sleek and sophisticated black, so now you can start showing your creative side with some color in your underwear. The Pump Frosh Jogger gives you a solid burst of color in a cut that shows you off in the best ways. It’s cut small enough to make your date very happy to see you in them, but still mainstream that you can wear them in the gym without raising any eyebrows.

Wild

At this point in a relationship, someone with a taste for the wilder side of underwear can start breaking out the fun stuff! Anything from Gregg Homme will make you look and feel like a rockstar. The Torridz Hyperstretch low-cut brief has an amazing 8-way stretch material that will do wonders to highlight your best assets. Pick a great color like aqua and your partner will be constantly trying to get a peek in your pants to see if you’re wearing this super sexy pair.

A special night

After you’ve been with someone for a while, you might want to plan a special evening or even just want to spice things up a little. This calls for some kickass undies! Even if you think you lean towards the mild side, break out something like the pairs below to really impress your partner.

Mild

Whether or not you call yourself mild when it comes to underwear, you owe it to yourself and your partner to strut your stuff in a thong every once in a while. There are too many great looking and fantastic fitting thongs made for men these days to miss out. Picking the Sports Thong from Cocksox is the best way to bring out the big guns yet still feel fairly mainstream. This pair has a near perfect cut and fabric, so pair a special night with a special pair. You (and your partner) will not be disappointed.

Wild

If you think of underwear as the ultimate form of expression and have no issue wearing anything and everything, picking out something wild for a special night opens all kinds of possibilities. This is where you can incorporate great cuts with wild fabrics. The Modus Vivendi Flash Floral Lace Jock delivers all that and more. You get the super minimal jockstrap cut that shows off everything about you, plus the awesome look and feel of that great blue and red lace. Maybe this is the first time your partner has seen something this wild from you, or maybe you both know that a special night calls for the special undies and hopefully…a special ending! Enjoy!

It’s been one of the coldest winters in a while, especially in Atlanta. When I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is have to go back out. It’s time to put on something warm and watch Netflix all night. One thing that is perfect for these nights is onesies. One of the super fun ones to wear in front of the fire is the Camo Onesie from N2N!

This style came out a few years ago and earlier this month we profiled the mesh onesie. Which I’m not sure will keep you warm wearing it along but it will keep you warm if you wear it with someone! The camo onesie I can picture a weekend in the mountains drinking hot chocolate.

You may be asking how comfy this pair would be? The mesh one you can pair with a thong, jock or bikini. The onsie has a seamless pouch that will give you support. You can wear it to lounge around in or under jeans out and about. The fabric is an 80% cotton 20% spandex blend. It will stretch and move with you throughout the day.

Over this past weekend. Andrew the man behind the brand, posted pics of him in the Onesie taking down his Christmas decorations on his deck, giving his neighbors a show. These were posted on his Instagram account. Which was awesome! I mean you gotta stand behind your product.

If you want more camo, make sure you check out the Camo Classic Bikini or thong! It’s the same fabric in some smaller cuts. Which N2N is known for making! They make amazing bikinis! Wear them under or on their own. Just rock the camo anytime you want!
