The last two years, thongs have been the big thing. Everyone regardless of being gay or straight went crazy for the pair. They are still super popular, but it made me often think of the Jock and was this style going away from the mainstream and just be in fetish world?

There have been a few new jock companies come onto the scene. Coyote Jockstraps is one of the newest to come across my radar. They have a very classic, varsity feel to me. While they don’t look like the “classic bike” they do have a sports feel.

The waistbands have a “sports” inspired stripe to me. It reminds me of the stripe in athletic sox or football uniforms. I really like the look of these a lot! They come in three colors, white, black, burgundy, and hunter green. Green is my favorite so I”m excited about these.

If you are a jock fan check out all the new Coyote jocks.

You guys love deals and limited edition underwear. I had to remind you guys that Clever Moda has a collection of limited edition pairs of underwear. They range from boxer briefs/trunks to briefs. Sorry, no thongs or jocks as of yet.

The best thing is the price. When you say limited edition, it may seem like the price goes up with the exclusivity. However, the Clever pairs are $10 and up. Most are just over $12. Which by any standard is a freaking deal in underwear.

Go to the Clever Moda US site and check out all the pairs. Below is a sample of the pairs.

There are two things that UNB readers love. The first is a swim bikini and the second is camo. One brand that has combined them is Addicted. They created these super fun and amazing camo bikinis. As, I have said many times, swimwear should be a lot of fun.

The Camo swim bikinis are more of a string bikini than a regular. The waistband is about an inch and that’s all that covers you on the side. You will get maximum exposure in this brief. Perfect for those guys who aren’t ready for a thong but want to show off a bit more.

One thing that should be mentioned is the fabric. Their site says it’s a thin material that feels like a second skin. The 80% polyamide & 20% elastane will feel great against your skin. Don’t worry this pair won’t fall down because the waistband has a drawstring you can tie.

Pair: Addicted Camo Swim Bikini
Color: Green camo or Grey Camo
Fabric: 80% polyamide & 20% elastane
Sizes: X=Small – XXX-Large
Price: 42 Euros

I LOVE Ergowear. Their underwear has always been one of my favorites. They have just released the new Flamingo Fantasy line. This sounds a little funky but trust me it’s going to be AMAZING.

First thing to know about this line is it has the X3D pouch. My personally favorite pouch Ergowear makes. It’s ergonomically designed to fit a guy perfectly. Next is the fabric. This is what they say about it: “made using our ultra-soft, cotton-like Modal fabric, which is made from natural fibers, cellulose in this case (Viscose) and feature vibrant and sleek hues under the concept: Flamingo Fantasy, Part I.” I can’t wait to see part II

The line comes in three different styles and in three different colors. The colors are Dusk (pink flamingo), Olive, and Black. The styles are the Bikini, Thong and Mini Boxer. All three have an amazing fit. Yes, I LOVE the boxer briefs from Ergowear and highly recommend them.

Get these at either the Ergowear site or Candyman Fashion.

In men’s fashion, cotton has long been considered the king of fabrics. But as Deadgoodundies.com note from the UK, there can be an improvement on nature’s best… Increasing use of modal, viscose and Lyocell yarns in male underwear, sometimes solo, often in a mix with cotton, is revolutionising the fit, feel and features of boxers and briefs. These cellulose fibres, made from wood pulp, are breathable, colourfast and feel like cotton or silk, depending on the finish. These materials won’t trap perspiration or odours, have great stretch-recovery, resist shrinkage and they’re up to 50% more absorbent than cotton alone. Purists, take note.

NEW LINE From the maestros of ergonomic enhancement – Ergowear’s new X3D line including this brief, a mini boxer and thong in black, olive green or a great shade of pink called Dusk. Made from 90% viscose 10% Spandex to fit like a silky glove.

I discovered this brand on social media (Twitter: @skinfit_mexico; Instagram: @skinfit.mexico) and just had to try their products.  They sell a wide variety of products:  underwear, swimwear, and sport/gym wear (singlet, tights, etc.).  SkinFit is a Mexican company that was established in 2017 whose mission is to provide “Sportswear and Underwear for the current man with satisfaction guarantee”.

I will be reviewing both the Tanga Skin and the Tanga Bulge styles.

WHERE TO BUY: SkinFit

Rating: 9.4 / 10

  • Daily Fit: 9 / 10
  • Sizing: 7 / 10
  • Construction: 10 / 10
  • Styling: 10 / 10
  • Daily Performance: 10 / 10

Pros:

  • Many color options to choose from.
  • Choose your pouch style.  The pairs are essentially the same otherwise.
  • Shiny and stretchy lycra material that is very comfortable and supportive.
  • Marketed as underwear, but can easily be worn as swimwear.

Cons:

  • Made to order, so takes a little longer to arrive.
  • Unconventional sizing, which runs a little tight.

Recommendation: Highly recommended, especially if you love Joe Snyder.  If you’re at the upper end of a size range, consider ordering the larger size.

Commentary:

I bought the Tanga Skin style in purple and burgundy and the Tanga Bulge style in royal blue and emerald green. My waist size is 33-34 and I normally wear a size medium in most brands, but I followed the size guidelines and ordered large.

I placed my order December 22ndand they arrived January 15th.  I was quite surprised they arrived so soon as they are made to order and ship from Mexico (via FedEx).  I’ve had domestic, stock-based orders take longer to arrive!  Upon opening the package, I was very excited to try them on. The colors were vibrant.  The fabric reminded me of my favorite speedos. When I slipped the first pair on for the first time, I was not disappointed.  The only issue I have is they’re a little snug at the hips.  This, along with the unconventional sizing ranges, is the reason for the Sizing rating of 7 above.  I probably should have gone with the extra large and will consider that for future orders.

I have worn all four pairs for a variety of activities: work, gym, tennis match, lounging around, out and about with friends, etc.  Having just finished my #yearofthethong in 2018, I have a pretty good idea of what I like and don’t like about a thong.  Try wearing one every day for a year and not form strong opinions!  Tim will say I already had strong opinions, and he would be right!  😊

After slipping them on, I was immediately reminded of Joe Snyder, including the snugness.  The quality is just as high.  The material, I feel, is a little thicker without feeling stiff. It’s very stretchy and comfortable. I easily wore them all day, no matter what activities I had planned.  Even though they were a little snug, I didn’t experience the dreaded discomfort at my tailbone that I get when a pair is too tight (*ahem* N2N recent swimwear styles *ahem*).

The construction is fantastic! The side straps are about ¾” thick giving it a skimpier, sexy look than many thong styles on the market.  The back strap (between your cheeks) is about 1”, which is on the upper end of the comfortable range.  The seams are virtually unnoticeable.  I hate when a pouches center seam rubs against my package all day, or I can feel where the pouch attaches to the back strap at the taint.

These styles are listed under their Underwear collection, but they can easily be worn as swimwear as well. They’re unlined, so the lighter colors will likely be somewhat see-thru when wet (if this is your desired effect, go for it!).  I plan to give these a try at the pool, beach, or boat this summer!

The only difference between these two styles is the pouch.  The Tanga Skin has what I would consider a traditional thong pouch – similar to the Thong 03 style from Joe Snyder.  The material is stretchy enough that your goodies aren’t smooshed all day, and you can easily wear them pointing up or down.  The Tanga Bulge has more of a bulgy, roomier pouch – similar to the Bulge Thong 02 style from Joe Snyder.  The larger pouch, along with the stretchy material, ensure that your goodies are kept pushed forward and comfortable all day long.  With this style (and most other bulge styles), you’re better off pointing down.  I did notice that the bulge pouch also causes the front to have a lower rise, probably a full inch of difference between the two.

I will most definitely be adding more of both styles to my (ever growing….and maybe out of control) collection in the near future!

Tanga Skin and the Tanga Bulge

We asked you guys about what you wear to the gym in spandex and swim briefs. We had a great turn out and here is what you guys like to wear and sometimes want to wear.

We asked what you guys wear to the gym. I will say that I was expecting that briefs and thongs would be popular but Jockstraps took the top spot. Guys were only allowed to choose one answer so this is good news but shocking news to me.

This is more of what I expected the first answer to be. The briefs are top and then jocks and thongs. In this question, you guys could answer which you wore to the gym.

I was curious as to what gear you wear to the gym. Most guys don’t wear spandex to the gym. But if they do it’s more runners/tights over other kinds of gear. Spandex is growing but not mainstream yet.

This made me smile. The majority of guys who answered wear swim briefs when they swim at the gym. More than double the second choice. Now we need to transfer these to the beach and pool!!!

I asked would you wear them if you don’t wear them? Swim briefs and spandex that is. One thing we have to change is that most guys want to wear swim briefs and spandex but don’t feel comfy. I hope we can change that over the next year.

Tell our readers about you: Jockstrap Junkie just living here in the Great Lakes area and I’m a mid-forties bi-guy working in marketing of an automotive supply chain company. I would say most people wouldn’t think of me as an underwear addict, as I’m usually talking about lifting, throwing heavy objects in Scottish Heavy Athletics competitions, horses, and you can’t be in the Great Lakes area and not like Euchre. Side note, when throwing in Scottish games, the naughty bits are covered, otherwise it’s regimental under the kilt and the boys swing free. Forgot to mention, I like jockstraps.

When did you first discover underwear? The more I think back, I remember looking at my brother’s Sports Illustrated after he was done. Not only did I like reading about the sports, but I also liked the Jockey underwear ads. This would’ve been the era that Bart Conner and Jim Palmer were the main models for Jockey in the late 80s and early 90s. This was also when I would make sure to wander thru the men’s underwear section of department stores looking at the different styles of the day, and the pictures, too. I also liked it when the JC Penney and Sears catalogs would come out.

What was the first pair of good underwear you bought? What made you buy that pair? I truly hated tightey whiteys as they had a tendency to pinch, bind, and wedge themselves. So, I finally got the nerve to try Jockey’s Elance® bikini briefs. There were a few other guys wearing bikini and low-rise briefs, so it wasn’t that big of a deal in the locker room. I was a lot more comfortable in the bikini briefs than those old Hanes tightey whities.

How did this first pair influence your journey into the world of men’s underwear? After high school and moving into my own place, my underwear journey started to expand quickly. Especially, when I went to the newsstand and found the Undergear catalog. During my early 20s, I tried a bit of everything from thongs to boxers, all thanks to Undergear.

What are your current favorite styles? What style do you wear most? Today, I’m mostly a jockstrap guy; however, I do occasionally like to wear boxers, thongs, or boxer briefs. Yup, that’s right, boxers are still in my collection.

Most of the time, I choose my underwear for what I’m going to be doing. If I’m going to the gym, it’s mostly a jockstrap but occasionally a thong. For the days I’m going to be outside working in the spring or fall, it’s usually boxers. If the situation requires a lot of sitting, either a jock or my trusty Under Armour BoxerJock boxer briefs. And for those date nights, usually a jockstrap.

What are some of your favorite pairs in your underwear drawer? Since my collection is pretty large, I’ll just share a few favorites. Andrew Christian Almost Naked jockstrap, C-IN2 C-Theory & Tackle jockstraps, AussieBum WonderJock jockstrap, and Pump Cruise jock.

Are you open to friends or partners about your love of underwear? If you have a partner do they encourage your love of underwear? I have a couple of buddies who have seen the collection and they have collections of their own; otherwise, underwear doesn’t come up in conversation. When it comes to partners, some are ok, others shake their head, and I’ve had to use the comment “you collect shoes, I’ll collect jocks.”

Has wearing great underwear boosted your confidence? Definitely a confidence booster. Who wants to be the guy who is trying to un-bunch their underwear? Underwear is functional and sexy at the same time. I think it’s fun when in the foreplay stages of making whoopie to see the reaction of the other person when I drop trou when I’m wearing a neon colored jockstrap. Life is too short for life to be dull. It’s never been a deal breaker, and I even enjoy a bit of laughter.Where can our readers find you on social media? If you want to see more of my jockstrap journey, you can follow me on Twitter @the_Jockstrap or on Reddit u/the_Jockstrap.

It’s becoming one of the biggest underwear holidays of the year. Valentine’s Day is when it’s ok for the world to wear super sexy undies and get away with it. For the majority of people out there its a one-day thing, but for all of us at UNB and reading it’s a 365 Day occurrence. We wear sexy undies whenever the mood strikes us.

What is sexy to you?

Sexy is in the eye of the beholder. One guy may love a Joe Snyder Lace thong, whereas, another may think a classic black brief from CK is super sexy. Which one is right? They both are! I think you should wear whatever you feel sexy in without judgment. UNB is an open place for every guy to express their love of underwear.

What is sexy to your partner?

Valentine’s Day is one day that you take your partner into account as well. Most days, I think readers of UNB, just wear what they want to wear. We have a few readers who let their partners pick out their undies. But those seem to be rare. Most have partners who aren’t into it as much as they are, but no matter how uninterested partners are, there is something they love seeing you in. It’s time to give them what they want. And make a great night of it!

Be who you are, with out shame!

We profile everything here on UNB. It’s about all underwear, well until we get a boxer brief guy (why are they so hard to find). One person that always makes me smile on Instagram is Joe Spaceman (@sixfootfiveguy). He’s big on pink and wearing thongs and gear that is pink. He’s living his best gear life. We all need to find what makes us happy and rock it. To hell with what others say. One more thing about Joe is he looks great in his pink thongs too!

Be who you are on Valentine’s Day! Rock what you want to rock and then rock your partners world! If you’re like me and single, still wear what you want and enjoy the day.

Our philosophy here at UNB is that underwear is for every guy. It doesn’t matter if you’re gay, straight, beefy, or thin. A company that came across my radar is Beefy Boy. Our friend Scruffy Gear Blog posted about them on Instagram. Looking into them and I Love what they are doing.

They are a brand that is founded in Chicago. Their philosophy is they are “committed to authentic body images, rooted in diversity and inclusion.” More brands are starting to include and design for guys on the larger end of the spectrum.

Their images are not the typical male models. They are real guys without six packs and of all sizes and colors. From what I see of their images I really love. I think their customers feel the same!

Currently, they just sell jocks. I hope we get to see them expand their line up eventually to more including briefs, thongs and more. I am going to reach out to them and hopefully do an interview with them. I think brands like this need to get more press and exposure in the market.

Go check out their jocks! Shop the Beefy Boy site.

One company that I am totally obsessed with right now is Skin Fit. They are an amazing gear company out of Mexico. They are a mix of off the rack and custom. In each style, you get to pick the colors of the pair. With them, you don’t have to be limited in just a few colors.

One thing from Skin fit I haven’t profiled is their underwear. This is the Bikini Dual. A brief that has one color in the front and a different on the sides. It reminds me of a very 80’s design that I used to love. It’s retro but super HOT.

I first saw this in a story on Instagram. It was paired with the Leg Fit. Which aren’t quite tights but more spandex leggings. It makes the perfect pairing. It was also shown to pair these with a thong too. You can match either color in the Leg Fit.

Make sure you check them out. They have posted a few things on social that I can’t wait to see soon!

Pair: Skin Fit Bikini Duo
Color: Check the site for all the combos
Fabric: 92% Nylon/ 8% Elastane
Sizes: Small – X-Large
Price: $24.00

A lot of you guys out there are rocking the thongs. But don’t forget about one of the old school styles, the jock. It’s not just for the gym any more. Companies are making them for fashion, fun and working out. aussieBum is no stranger to the jock.

One of my favorite jocks they have right now is the Grizzly Jock. There are several reasons. Frist is the design. the front looks almost like a brief. It looks very contemporary. Then in the back, it’s more of an old school design with the wide waistband. Mix that with large leg straps and I think it’s a winner!

The design is the best of old and new. The fabric of the pouch is a sports mesh. Making it perfect for the gym or working out. Jocks are perfect for the gym because they give you amazing support.

Pair: aussieBum Grizzly Jock
Color: as seen
Fabric: 87% Micro Modal, 13% Elastane
Sizes: Small – X-Large
Price: $23.25

Hello everyone, I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard anything from me. I have been super busy with work and family and need to get my butt back into gear and write more content for the blog! I have recently had the opportunity to try out some new stuff from the-bikini.com and I’m pretty excited to share it with you. I have known about the-bikini.com for some time, and just haven’t put them in my drawer up until recently. Their website sells a TON of tiny micro bikinis for women, and they also feature some stuff for the guys as well. Many of their suits are featured with the same colors as the women’s, so you can match your suit to your partner (or just a friend’s) bikini.

The-Bikini sent me a handful of different styles to try out, and I’ll provide some brief (no pun intended) thoughts on each with more detailed reviews to come in the future. I was provided a men’s string in hot pink-for those of you that have been following me for any time you know that is my favorite color! They also provided an adjustable string and regular thong in nude, a teardrop thong in ???, a crotchless thong in brown, and a baggie tanning pouch in royal blue.

Men’s String

I was pleasantly surprised with this suit. Upon receiving the package from The-Bikini, I wasn’t sure if it would fit me well enough to keep on for an extended period. However, the fit was roomy without being so large that it was uncomfortable. The men’s string features a narrow front with a dart pouch that is joined to the rear by a tiny ornamental ring in the back. The side and bottom straps are a ¼” width and ride pretty low on the hips. In my opinion, this is a style well suited for tanning, and not so much for swimming or other vigorous activities. It will definitely draw plenty of attention!

Men’s Adjustable String

The adjustable string from The-Bikini is almost identical to the string, with the exception that the front pouch is adjustable. All design elements are almost the same, however, the front pouch on the adjustable string is a good deal larger. Guys who aren’t especially well endowed or just smaller in stature may not fill up the pouch completely. The one thing to point out is that the waistband is not sewn into place, so the front is not automatically centered to the rear. If you are conscious about your tan line placement, you’ll just need to be sure to adjust everything before you settle in. Once again, this suit is a better fit for tanning sessions, and not meant for a lot of activity.

Men’s Thong

The men’s thong is a very well rounded suit that could be worn almost anywhere. The front is joined to the rear with a roughly 1” waistband featuring an adequate elastic to keep everything in pace whether you are swimming, walking along the beach, or playing a game of volleyball on the sand. The rear thong coverage is moderate, and wouldn’t draw any unwanted or negative attention to you. In this thong, I would feel comfortable wearing to any family beach, or to the neighborhood pool without fear of consequence.

Men’s Teardrop

The men’s teardrop is without a doubt my favorite out of the lot sent to me for review. I like a moderate to small pouch on all of my undies and swimwear, so this suit fits the bill perfectly. Obviously being a teardrop design there isn’t an excess of room, and the pouch is just big enough to keep everything contained. This suit also features tiny ¼” side and rear straps, which are perfect for achieving those sexy tan lines we are all after! This suit also holds everything in place quite well, so I would recommend it for tanning as well as any other outdoor activities. Imagine the neighbor’s reactions when you wash the car or do your gardening in this!

Men’s Crotchless

So the crotchless designs have never been a big interest to me, however, after I slid this on I understand what all the hype is about! Obviously, this suit is meant to excite the wearer (and everyone else they are around) and not much else. It does exactly that, as soon as I put it on I was immediately transformed into another mood entirely. This suit could be worn as a sort of bulge enhancer under a more modest suit and would help to fill out any pouch quite nicely. Or if you are visiting a beach tolerant of extreme swimwear and have little to no inhibitions, you could wear it on its own and be sure to turn heads of everyone on the beach! As far as activity goes, I expect that you could wear this suit doing anything you would do in the buff.

Men’s Baggie

The men’s baggie is just as it is stated, a pouch to keep your bits covered while tanning. You could wear this on a private beach, pool, or in the tanning bed. The pouch is generously sized to fit a range of different size/shape combinations. It features a drawstring to keep it snugly affixed to your package while tanning. I would not recommend doing much more than tanning in this suit, as I don’t know how well it will stay put while walking around or swimming.

I will do a more comprehensive review of these designs once it warms up enough here to wear them out around the house and to the beach. I love the design and color choices available on The-bikini.com and can’t wait to see what they have in store for us throughout 2019! If I had to ask The-Bikini to change anything I would say to expand the range of available sizes on the site. Guys come in all different shapes and sizes, just like women, and we need the same size options available to us! If you have the chance, cruise on over to their website to check them out. Buy a suit for yourself, one for a friend or partner, and check out some of the galleries of customers wearing their styles! Let me know your thoughts here or @unb_ryan on Instagram or Twitter!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. It’s the second biggest underwear holiday of the year. It’s time to bring out the sexy undies for date night with your significant other. Or, if you’re like me, single, it’s time to wear something fun on Singles Awareness Day. Just because I don’t have a special someone to wear undies for doesn’t mean that I don’t rock the good undies on Valentine’s Day.

You have a few different options this year for Valentine’s Day. It all depends on who you are and what your partner likes best.

Classic Undies

Is Classic sexy? Hell yeah, it is! You can wear a classic black brief or boxer brief out for your date. The classics never go out of style. Not everyone wants to rock a pink thong (but if you do, rock it good). A brand like Sean Alexander is perfect for a guy who wants a classic cut pair that is still super sexy

Lace Undies

On the complete, another end of the spectrum is lace underwear. The mix of masculine and feminine is big in the men’s underwear world. Boundaries are being broken down and there really is nothing off limits in the world of men’s underwear. Plus, lace can be super sexy. You don’t have to go super feminine, brands like L”Homme Invisible are making lace that is masculine and fun.

Mesh Undies

Mesh has always been big on Valentine’s Day. Hell, it’s been big in men’s underwear for as long as I can remember. Some guys prefer full on mesh that shows everything, while others want some that give just a hint of skin beneath the fabric. I think the second is way sexier. It leaves more to the imagination. Brands like Clever and Gregg Homme both do mesh very well.

Fetish Undies

Last is a set of undies that are super fun. These are the undies you wear to release that hidden (or not so hidden) sexual beast in you. It can be rubber, neoprene, harnesses and more. It’s about pure pleasure and maximizing it for you and your partner. It’s about showing off as much as having fun with your partner. Two brands that make this type of gear and do it well are Cellblock13 and Maskulo!

No matter which you choose for Valentine’s Day, just be you! Enjoy the undies you wear and have fun. Only you know what you feel sexy wearing and your partner should enjoy it too! If you’re single just go out and feel great that day and rock your sexiest undies!

When you think of swimwear, a swim brief made out of lace is not something that would come to mind but swim brand NA Swimwear they made it. I really love this pair and kinda want to get one.

Before you worry if you will be showing it all off, the front of the pair is lined in the front. The back is lace and shows off all the assets. It’s a lot of fun and something I haven’t seen before in the world of swimwear. It’s sexy and fun and not for every guy but those who will rock it will have a great day on the beach.

The pair comes in three different colors. They are black, red, white. Any of these would be awesome. The black is my personal favorite but I think it will be the most see-through, well the most noticeable pair that is see through. But any of the three colors is amazing.

I’m partial to the briefs but there is a thong version as well. The pouch is cut smaller and lined. Then the back is the solid lace. Why not wear something different on the beach.

Pair: NA Swimwear Lace Brief

It’s the new year and time to find some great new working out underwear. One brand that you need to consider is Xtremen. They are best known for their longer boxer briefs. Which to me are the best for leg day or anything that focuses on legs. But there are times when we need something else to wear.

This years collection branches into jocks and thongs. We will have more on that later. One pair that I am loving is the Xtremen Sports Mesh Boxer Briefs. These are more trunks than boxer briefs.

This pair comes in two different colors. The first one is the one you see above, Turquoise and white. And there is a solid black pair as well. The white stripe is a band of a sports mesh that will keep you cool while working out.
