Underwear of the Week – 69er’s brief by ManView

Our friends at His Trunks sent out an email about these yesterday. I think these are pretty awesome briefs. As you know I love briefs and prefer them over all styles. This pair I think is really cool and interesting. That is why we choose it as our Underwear of the Week.

These are by ManView, a company I haven’t tried before. I love the cut of these. They are a brief cut but smaller then a traditional brief. The next thing I love is that is like a tighty whity with the fly in the front. The last thing I love is the wider waistband with everyone’s favorite number “69″ on it. The really interesting thing to me is the seam in the front. It looks like it has a fitted pouch. So it’s a mix of traditional and new!

This pair is available in four colors: Grey, Blue, White and Yellow. The sides of this pair is 4 inches wide and 2 inches of those are the waistband. Which I think it a good thing. It will fit well because there is 5% spandex mixed in with the cotton. They are available from His Trunks for $18. Check them out!

I wanted to do something really fun for Underwear of the Week. After seeing so many pairs at Magic I wanted to profile a new company, Clever. This pair is the Tahiti Trunk. I love the design of the pair. It’s a fun pair with a solid crotch. It’s great to see some fun in men’s underwear and this is fun to me. I know it’s not the taste for everyone but I think underwear should be fun and add something to your wardrobe!

The Underwear of the Week this week is something that I think is a lot of fun, it’s the Ergowear Max Light Brief. I love a pair with a great pouch, and wanted to showcase some really great pouch underwear.

If you aren’t familiar with Ergowear, they are a company that is ergonomically designed to fit a man’s body. They have taken the time to really research and make some really great undies. They may look a little strange, and you maybe hesitant to try them, but once you put them on you will LOVE them. Ok, maybe I’m projecting that, but I think the pouch just fits really great. If you love undies that make you feel like you aren’t wearing any, these are definitely for you. .

It is snowing here, and we don’t get much snow in the town of Atlanta. So I wanted something that is really fun for the Underwear of the Week. Our pair this week is the Private Structure Pineapple Trunk and can be bought at UnderGear. I think this is a really fun pair that isn’t too childish. Some pattern underwear can get too crazy and if our friends see it, they will go, “What are you wearing?”

This is not a pair many would wear to the gym. It’s a great date night pair though, pineapples are not something you would expect to see. Underwear should be fun and not just something to wear. I think Private Structure is one that does a great job with underwear.

Underwear of the Week – Puma Active Leisure Trunks

This week’s underwear of the week is from a brand you may not have seen much, Its from Puma. I haven’t seen this brand in stores, very often, in the States. I have a pair of briefs I got at Century 21 in NYC a few years ago and they are one of my favorite pairs. They are well made and just fit me like a glove.

Puma underwear is a brand that has a very sporty design. They are perfect for a guy that works out, plays sports or just wants some extra support. They have a more contemporary and modern design. I really like the look of their line and think they have made a great core line.

The Puma Active Leisure Trunk is our choice this week. I have, in the past few years, been wearing more trunks. I like them because they have the fit of a brief but more coverage. However, with me the jury is still out on boxer briefs… but enough about that. I choose these for the design. I ran it by John our Asst. Editor and he said “Ooo I Like” and those are “super cute.” I agree, I think they are fun, and I think Puma doesn’t get a lot of attention in the US. Not sure if that’s by design or they just haven’t gotten into the US Market.

Here is a fun and bright pair of undies for the Undies of the Week. We are featuring Bjorn Borg Fun Stretch Psychedelic Trunk. These are made with Ultra-soft stretch cotton in a classic trunk cut. It has a double layer pouch for extra support. To cap it off it has the Bjorn Borg logo elastic waistband.

Underwear of the Week: 2wink Cool Devil and Hot Angel

We chose two pairs this week for our underwear of the week! It is the Cool Devil and Hot Angel pairs from 2wink! This is one of the few times we’ll profile two pairs at once. They just go hand in hand, so that’s why we included them as a pair!

2wink, if you have not heard about them, is from Australia where, we have noticed, it has turned into a hotbed for new underwear companies. There seems to be no stopping Aussies from making some of the most innovative underwear in the world.

2wink was founded in 2005 with the younger male as their target audience. They are 100% Australian made and hold great pride in that fact. They have really exploded on the scene after they started internet orders and now ship to over 30 counties, including the US. They are planning to release swimwear and board shorts this year before the Australian summer, or sadly, our winter.

Two new lines introduced by 2wink are the Cool Devil and Hot Angel. By their names alone, you would expect something naughty and nice! They are, in fact, both boxer style designs that are made out of a spandex/cotton blend.

The Cool Devil is a white boxer style with a signature red waistband and red leg piping. They aren’t too far fetched since they have a classic look with some added fun. The waistband, which we know I love, features the 2wink logo. It looks great without being over the top.

The Hot Angel is a blue trunk with a white waistband, also proudly including the 2wink logo. These will add a bit of color to your wardrobe, but not too much. I think you would be able to wear these to the gym.

This week’s Underwear of the Week is one we think is a classic. Yeah, it’s kind of strange to say its a classic but the 2(x)ist Y-Back thong has been around for about 10 years. It first hit the underwear scene back in the 90′s and has become of one the most popular thongs aroun.

I remember getting one back in the 90′s and raced home to try it on. The design was new and innovative and I had not seen anything like it at the time. The one thing you should know about the thong is the pouch is amazing. I have been impressed with the support I have received by wearing it. It is extremely well made and holds up over time. I had a pair that I must have had for 7-8 years and only got ride of them because I out grew them. I believe I gave them to a friend, who still has them.

Part of the reason we are running them as the underwear of the week is the excellent customer service they provide! John our Assistant editor here ordered a jock and it didn’t show up for two weeks. We contacted them and asked about it and there was a mistake in the shipping. They refunded the money and sent out the new jock. John received it and has been very happy with it. If fact he’s wearing it today.

It’s great to hear about a company that really takes its customer service seriously. They were very helpful and got it all taken care of right away. Today when we’ve all dealt with bad service online and its almost impossible to a person, TImoteo has done a great job.

Underwear of the Week is Marc Ouest Euro Boy 1

This week we wanted to have some fun with our Underwear of the Week. We decided to go with something that seems to be taking off in mens underwear. That is MESH! Yes, mesh! It seems to be turning up everywhere. Its something fun and very hot. The pair we chose the Marc Ouest Eruo Boy 1 Brief.

We decided to do something fun this week. Since summer is coming in to full swing and more and more people are becoming active, we though that we should showcase something that will give you great support no matter what you have to do. Something that could be underwear and gym wear.

This weeks underwear of the week, as you can tell by the pictures is the Sweat Under Gear Jock. It’s a very classic styling jock with modern construction. It is something you can wear under your shorts while running errands or hanging out. But also wear to the gym or play softball in. It will give you that extra support you need during sporting events.

The Underwear of the week this week is the N2N Bodywear Luxe Jockstrap. I don’t think we have ever had a jock as the underwear of the week. The reason we have chosen this one is that the new lines by N2N are so cool and I figure its about time to get a jock up here. Several of us over here at UNB love jocks.

Our Underwear of the week is from Timoteo, the new Pink Super Low Brief. It’s a great addition to the Timoteo Line. We have a write up about the company from their site and info about the briefs!

Timoteo Ocampo is an American designer based in Los Angeles, California. He studied at California State University, Los Angeles and received a Bachelor’s degree in Art with an option in Fashion Design. During his studies he interned at such places as Richard Tyler, Moda Cad, Lori London Millinery.

After graduating from school he began designing the XOXO Knit sportswear line. Following that he worked closely with Russell and Kimora Lee Simmons as Head Designer to create the Baby Phat line. At Baby Phat he developed a full contemporary collection of knit, woven, denim, and leather.

After a number of successful years of designing women’s wear Timoteo opened his own men’s specialty retail store in West Hollywood, California in October of 2001. Carrying a variety of clothing lines, it gave him the opportunity to bring in an eclectic fashion forward selection to his customers.

In addition to the fashion lines he carried, he produced his own contemporary men’s collection that carries his name, TIMOTEO. The collection consists of denim, dress shirts, fashion tees, and a variety of accessories. In 2006, swimwear was added to the TIMOTEO collection. The TIMOTEO line recognizes great fashion but also understands that style, fit, and comfort are the key to its success.

Unlike his last enhancement undies this enhances your front rather then your back. We thought this would make a great Underwear of the week. Andrew Christian is so innovative and always coming up with new items and innovations. Here is what they say about the undies.

We are starting a new posting series called “Underwear of the Week.” This will bring you some well known brands and some smaller brands that are doing some great things in the area of men’s underwear. We are always looking for suggestions, so if you know a company that you think could use some exposure, let us know.
