ac-almost-naked-air-jockWe posted our first review yesterday with Alex’s Video review and we have quite a few more Andrew Christian pairs to review! The pair I got to review is the Limited Edition Almost Naked Holiday Air Jock. Wearing jock briefs always makes me feel a bit naughty. I’m not sure why, after so many years wearing underwear and every style imaginable you don’t think I would, but I do!

I was really excited to try this because it’s a very light pair and has one of my most favorite pouches. The Almost Naked line ahs been one of the favorite lines I have since it first came out. It’s a pair that fits and gives amazing support. This pouch never lets me down!

What did the review consist of? Well it was a Monday and I wanted a pair that would make the day bright. This did just that, the read breathable material and the gold waistband made me very happy. I wore it through a busy day at work and then followed by errands for the afternoon. It held up great. I was super happy. When I slide these on the legs was a little tight. They didn’t bind or stay stiff.

I know there are guys who don’t want a jock brief because they don’t like the cut out in the back. This pair is I really didn’t notice the cut out that much. It really felt like a brief. The material was super light and felt great. So the combination of the two made this a great pair for me.

The sizing with Andrew Christian is pretty much as said on the size charts. The only complaint I have is the pairs are a little tight to put on in the legs, but that doesn’t distract from the pair. I wore an XL and have a closer to 38 waist right now, gained a few back, but they fit great.

Pros:

  • Limited Edition Pair
  • Great materials
  • Felt like a brief
  • Almost Naked pouch

Cons:

  • Legs were a little tight
  • Not for all guys unless you like a jock brief

998569_559739000749507_1802481688_nTalk about a fun pair of underwear.  2wink is one of the newest brands to come from Down Under.  Bright colors and body hugging styles are the hallmark of their collection.  As soon as I took them out of the package I was excited to try them on.  The fabric felt amazing in my fingers, so I knew I would love wearing them.

I wore them to work one day under my suit.  Just a typical day of sitting at my desk with the occasional stroll around the office to stretch my legs. The pouch has an opening to put everything through, and it definitely makes a statement.  I couldn’t help but wonder if I was giving amore prominent bulge than usual. I love a good pair of underwear that keeps everything pushed slightly forward.  So much more comfortable to me.  The rear straps did a superb job of keeping my rear lifted and needed very little adjustment throughout the day.

The styling on this brief is wonderful.  The waistband has the 2wink logo in red on black, so it’s eye catching without being too in your face.  The black piping on the legs and framing the pouch give you nice clean lines.  And the graffiti pouch.  What a creative look.  Anyone who sees it is going to want a closer look.  I got them in a size medium; they fit me perfectly (I have a 31” waist).

I would definitely recommend this pair of underwear to anyone who wants to spice up their collection.

Pros:

  • great support, front and back
  • eye-catching pattern
  • cotton/spandex blend feels great on the skin

Cons:

  • would love to see them in more graffiti patterns

2eros-neo-jock

Over the last year 2EROS has really come into their own. I remember their launching in 2006 with some great colors and photography. They really made me take notice. Jason over there keeps designing amazing undies that always surprises me. I got to try them for the first time last year and loved each and every pair.  This time I get to try the Neo Jock.

My first impressions were it’s pretty cool. The color I got was the Red color. The mix of the black and bright color was an amazing contrast. The second thing I liked was the pouch. There is a fly that is fully functional at the top of the pouch. At first I thought this was crazy but after wearing it was really cool. I wondered if it would sag or not be functional through out the day. Another impression is the straps are lower then traditional jocks. It’s more a brief cut that is a jock, it’s almost full cut across the front.

I wore this pair for some errands and a busy day so I knew a jock would be perfect for the day. I slide the pair on and the straps take a little work. I’m used to the straps getting on right form the start, these took a little work to get in the right position. I had the worry that because it was different position it would be annoying, But once on they stayed in place and felt great. So, I want you guys to know the straps are a little different. The pouch is great. I even used the fly. Not to be crude but the waist band is high and to go to the bathroom I said what the heck, I used the fly and put everything back in and it never felt like it lost its shape.

The sizing is a little smaller then we expect but not really bad. I wear a 36-38 and wore an X-large. But double check the sizing charts. The fabric on these felt great. It’s a modal blend and really feels amazing. Modal has fast become one of my favorite fabrics for underwear. Because it’s soft and feels amazing!

One last thing I forgot about is there is a rubber tag in the back. It’s interesting and fun. I felt it a few times but to me it wasn’t bad. It’s a cool thing they added to make it a little more fun. So it’s mix of fun and fetish!

Pros:

  • Great Color Combinations
  • Incredible Modal Fabric
  • Fly is fully functional

Cons:

  • Straps may bother some – I found them good after adjusting
  • Rubber Tag some may not like aesthetically

  • Daily Fit – 9

diesel-jocky-jockSeeing as I’m a fan of underwear, and especially thongs, I like to split from my usual fare sometimes, especially if I find a good deal or something that just looks awesome. Count me a lucky bloke cause I found both of those wrapped into one package: the Diesel Fresh and Bright Jock Strap.

Most guys think of jocks as something to wear when you participate in baseball, football, soccer, etc. To be honest, I never thought of myself wearing fashion style jocks, or those that are designed to be worn for causal wear, without a place for a cup. I found a few pairs on clearance for $12, so I figured why not give jock straps another shot, especially since they looked really nice. I had tried jocks in the past without much personal success, as I was uncomfortable with how the leg straps of the ones I had before had dug into my legs/ass. Definitely was won over by the  appearance, fit, and styling of these jocks. With the addition of these to my top drawer, I’m definitely excited to add to my collection.

Made of cotton, this jock feels glorious to wear. Thick in all the right places, it provides support and comfort throughout the day, from any activity imaginable. The leg straps never give an unpleasant feel and give a bit of support to the backside. The fit was exactly as it should be, not too big or small for the sizing.

The color options for this product are pretty rad also. They come in a nice selection of solid colors, as well as a striped version, which looks great on anybody. I personally picked up the orange and navy, blue and grey, and green and white, and absolutely love them, as well as the solid purple that I have in rotation also.

I would highly recommend Diesel underwear, and especially these jocks, as they are of quality make, quality material, and quality design. Add a little spice to your everyday dress, or even the bedroom.

abcunderwear_2272_10887956I am really excited to get back into the swing of UNB by reviewing this jock. I had a hiatus this summer because I was working at a job with no internet connection…and then moved across the country. So this undies writer is now a Seattleite 🙂 In my new apartment’s mailbox last week, arrived this gem. I had never heard of NDS before I got this jock. I had no preconceived notions, but I was very excited from what I opened. When I first took it out, I saw that it was going with the “new” cut of jock (referring to not just the pouch in front, but more of a brief cut in the front). And the back is a traditional jock (not the brief jock that looks like a brief in back with a porthole cut out) with straps.

I googled my jock and found that it is available in black and a really vivid purple (I got the black).

Upon fondling the pair a bit before trying it on, I became really eager to see how it fit. The fabric is a 95% Viscose 5% Spandex blend, Viscose being the derivative of Rayon (a great man-made substitute for silk made out of cellulose fibers (wood pulp mostly). I’m a sucker for Rayon, it just ends up having a better feel to it than cotton. The pouch definitely had room in it, but the straps felt secure. Obviously, you can’t see this pair without noticing the BIG DEAL, the sexy 1 1/4” gold waistband. It’s pretty bold, but I’ve never shied away from bold undies before. Another few things I like about the undies are the fact that the butt-straps are cut WITH the front pouch, as in, there is no seam where the butt-straps get sewn on. The fabric from the front pouch just glides up and over the hips and then thins out into a butt-strap. The front pouch has a VERY comfortable front seam down the center. I literally had to check with my hand cause I couldn’t tell just by wearing it.

So now, let’s get to putting it on. It fits very nicely, snug without being tight. I am a 34-36 underwear size kind of guy, and Tim sent me a Large which is listed as 34-36”. Perfect fit. NDS makes this pair in small through 2XL, but they do have a 2$ materials surcharge for cuts above XL (I find that a bit annoying, 2$, really?). The butt-straps are pretty much perfect, they are comfortable, sit just at the right place without really needing to do any manual adjustments (except for the first trying on moment, but that’s the case with any jock right?). There is no chance of awkward tag-sightings, because they sewed their label right above your junk. I didn’t even know it was there, I’d risk to say if you go for the “bald” look down there, maybe you’ll notice the tag.

I wore this around town, and to a hot yoga class (more than once). It is probably my new favorite jock. It fits in all the right places, has room in all the right places, doesn’t need constant strap adjustment. The fabric feels great, even after 2 rounds in the laundry (I washed it just like I do all my clothes, cold water wash, medium heat on dryer). My only real negative I can think of is maybe it’s a bit too roomy in the pouch, but I think that’s a personal thing (I’m not small, but I’m not one of those droopy elephant trunk kind of guys either)

PROs:

  • Sexy waistband/butt-straps.
  • No midday/midyoga adjustments needed.
  • Great feel on skin.

CONs:

  • Limited color range
  • I don’t own more of them
  • Seriously, I can’t think of any.
  • Maybe a little too roomy in the pouch.

Over the last year or so, Joe Snyder has become one of my favorite brands. The new Pride Frame line bikini is probably in the top 10 of my favorite pairs right now. When they refreshed the line, I was super happy to have another pair of them. The newest release from Joe Snyder is the Activewear Line. It’s one they told me about over a year ago and I was very excited to hear about it.

The Activewear is a bit of a departure from Joe Snyder. This one features a more defined pouch and a signature waistband. Previous lines rarely had a branded waistband. Granted they had a few but none that entire focus was the waist band. This one it’s front and center and carried through all pairs in this collection. I personally love this new design features. Nothing sets off a pair of undies like a waistband.

One of the best things about Joe Snyder is the quality of their undies. They make them out of really great fabrics and the construction is always made great. Joe Snyder makes fun yet very masculine underwear.

I wore the pair to work when I knew it was going to be an active day. I figured since I was in a jock why not put it to the test right? It held up very well. I loved the construction of the leg straps and the nylon/spandex pouch. The waistband which i loved, was a bit tight at the end on the day. I should have gone up a size. I”m right on the boarder of the size chart. But if you’re an underwear fan you know sometimes it can be hard to pick the right size. The pouch fit well too. As many of you know pouches are very important to me. I prefer contoured pouches and this one fit me well.

The sizing if you follow the guide should be pretty much on. I am right on the boarder between sizes. As I said above, when you are at the cut off for brands it’s hard to actually pick a right size. Also gaining a few pounds didn’t help the matter. But if you follow their guide you should have no problems with this line. They are out of Mexico so the sizing on other lines may run smaller.

Pros:

  • Love the new design, they stepped outside their box
  • Great new Waistband
  • Bigger pouch
  • Great bright color selection

Cons

  • I’m in between sizing so was a little small

688904-605-fI wear jocks regularly.  I am definitely not one of those guys that wears them just for athletic activities.  So I was eager to try out this one from Papi. I love the briefs I have by them, and knew the jock would be a great addition to my ever growing underwear collection.  Created in Miami for the guy that likes a little flair, Papi always produces some great styles and patterns.  The Pride collection has a rainbow colored waistband that shows your pride.

I wore this jock on a pretty average work day for me.  A quick stop at Starbucks to get my morning fix and then off to the office for 8 hours of fun.  Sitting at my desk with the occasional lap around the office to stretch my legs.  Exciting, right?  Throughout my day, I loved the way this jock felt in the front.  Papi underwear does a great job of supporting without flattening things out, and this jock held true to form in this aspect.  I did feel that the support straps in the back felt a little looser than I am used to.   Had to give them a tug a couple of times for adjustment.

The Pride Jock is available in black and red.  In a size medium, the colorful waistband was a good fit on my 31” waist.  Their size chart says a medium is for 32 to 34 inch waists, which may explain why the straps felt a little loose for me.  I feel like for those of us with the awkward waist size of 31” (really, who carries a 31 in anything these days?) a small might be a better overall fit.

Pros:

  • great support
  • bright colored waistband
  • polyester/spandex blend feels great

Cons:

  • leg straps felt a little loose

baskit-america-sport
I’m super excited to review the Baskit America Sport Jock. When i first saw this line in samples at Magic, I knew i had to have a pair. The design and colors just popped to me. I have just reviewed the Simple brief and was impressed with the great fit and classic styling of the pair, so I knew had very high hopes for this pair. Baskit is really getting known for high quality underwear.

Over the last few years Baskit has gone through a transformation. They aren’t doing crazy prints and wild styles. Their models has gone from trendy to more of a from a classic high quality brand. Which in by no means they are boring. Just look at the America line, you can have form and fashion in one and Baskit is doing just that.

The first thing I noticed is that the jockbrief has been made a little different then other jockbriefs I have worn. When i first put it on it fit kind of odd. I’m not saying it fit strange because of quality, but design. The straps were a little lower then I was used too. Also the sides came around farther back. So,  wasn’t sure how well this would fare through out the day. But, after I got it on and adjusted the straps, it fit really well. It’s just getting used to a new design.

I wore the pair to work and errands. I wanted to do something a little different then previous reviews. This is a jockbrief so I wanted to see how it fared. The jockbrief held up great at work. It wasn’t too active. The straps didn’t move and kept in place. Then I had a lot of walking for my errands. After the great performance of the day I wanted to be sure it held up to the active. The pair didn’t miss a beat. It was  the perfect pair to wear on both lazy or active day.

The sizing is pretty standard. One thing that you can count on with Baskit is, if you read their size chart they are pretty spot on and match the sizing. Note that they don’t go above a 36-38 waist. The rest of the sizing is spot on just read the size chart, but this is something you should do for every brand you buy.

Pros:

  • Fun color combinations
  • Great for a active or lazy day
  • Made out of quality materials

Cons:

  • Had a strange fit to being

UN8-13-Full

Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love N2N underwear.  They have a knack for creating underwear that is visually stimulating and feels great on the skin.  The Classic Jock is no exception.  I knew the minute that I put it on that I was going to love wearing it.

My day consisted of an 8-hour day at the office.  I love wearing jocks under my dress pants.  Something about the feel of the pants on my rear, and knowing that my co-workers have no idea that I have on such hot underwear.  The straps on this jock did not bind or pull.  I also noticed that the straps are sewn in such a way that they do not twist underneath the package as some other jocks do.

I followed the work day with a vigorous workout at the gym.   The fabric helped keep my dry down there and the jock did a great job of supporting me while I did weights and cardio.  It also gave me a slightly noticeable bulge in my shorts, at least more so than usual.  Not that I minded.  I hate underwear that flattens you out.  I want to be comfortable when I work out, not pulling on my underwear every time I sit down on a weight bench or after I finish running on the treadmill.

UN8-13-EUN8-13-BUN8-13-A

The sizing for N2N is based on US measurements and sizing, so if you follow their size chart you shouldn’t have any problem with this jock fitting you well.  I tend to fluctuate between a small and a medium, depending on the brand and cut of underwear.  I received this jock in a medium, which fit my 31” waist perfectly.  The cotton/spandex blend of the pouch fit snugly on my package and lifted me just right.   The jock is available in white, light blue and heather; I wish there were more colors, I would definitely get them all.

Pros

  • Very comfortable
  • snug pouch that lifts the goods
  • non-binding straps

Cons

  • only available in three colors

pikante9220-jockbrief

This is my second review of Pikante this week. I will say Pikante is becoming one of my favorite underwear companies. The pair I am reviewing is the 9220 Jockbrief.  This isn’t so much of a jockbrief as a jock bikini. It’s a smaller cut then usual jock briefs from other brands. I have one other jock brief and a pair of boxer briefs  from Pikante. The other jock brief has a great fit and I hoped this one was going to have a simlar fit.

The Pikante 9220 Jock brief is available in four colors. Those are white, red, blue and black. Each pair has a contrasting trim around the waist, legs and back openings.  Made out of 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex blend fabric. Which felt good through out the day. The waistband is a smaller waistband that had me worried if it would hold up through out the day.

I wore this pair to work and when I first slid the pair on on it made me feel a bit naughty. I haven’t had too many jock briefs and the opening in the back, didn’t feel odd but felt nice and did I say naughty because everything was hanging out!  The waistband issue I mentioned above didn’t cause problems. It held me up as I ran around work and did some errands. I received the red with black trim. I loved the color combination

Sizing in Pikante is pretty well matched to the sizing chart. I received an XL and it fit my 36-waist fine. This is definitely smaller then typical US sizing but if you follow the chart listed on websites you shouldn’t have a problem getting the right fit.

9220(5)9220(7)  9220(2)9220(3)

Some things I liked were the smaller size of the brief. It fit me just right and felt great through out the day. Next, I love the color combination with the trim. They could have made it a solid color but added a bit of pop.  My suggestion for improvement is minor. The Cotton/Spandex blend felt great but I’d love to see this with a nylon/spandex blend. Some other pairs I have with this  blend just fit so well. The nylon/spandex could make it more form fitting.

Pros:

  • Color combinations
  • The size of the brief
  • Great look to the pair

Cons:

  • Maybe make out of a Nylon/Spandex blend

pikante-9227

This week, I had the pleasure of reviewing Pikante’s new 9227 Sporty Jockstrap. It’s one of those jockstraps that looks like a brief from the front and most of the side, but then sneaky, you turn around, and there’s a big ol’ opening framing your booty. I am not too familiar with Pikante, I think I probably only have one or two of their pairs, and they are both trunks or boxer briefs. As you might know if you follow my reviews, I am somewhat weary of mesh material in underwear, due to a bad experience with a certain pair along time ago (in summary, I had to return and get the next size up, not once, but twice, before I realized the mesh on that pair just DIDN’T stretch, and wasn’t meant for people with butts), but recently, I have come in contact with happier mesh underwear, and this was no exception. Right when I opened the package and saw the mesh, I pulled at the fabric in both directions to check. So, I opened the package to see what mostly looked like a brief, except for that big opening in the back. The waistband and edges of all of the openings are a black material, with the waistband featuring Pikante’s woven in logo. The entirety of the garment is made up of the white spandex mesh. The briefy jock is also available in sunny yellow with a bright teal trim, black with purple trim, and yellow with black trim (but note that on the yellow pair, the waist band is also yellow, not black).

I got to wear my pair on my New York city weekendcation. I wore it while walking around NYC seeing the sites, buying sewing supplies, and visiting the MET. I did also had a date that night, with a nice guy I’ve seen a few times, (not to get too graphic, but he thought the pair looked really nice as well). I didn’t work out in the pair, so I can’t completely attest to it’s workout-ability, but from wearing it, I can say it stayed in place and (obviously, due to the mesh) breathed very well. I’d imagine this would be a VERY nice workout pair.

The size I got sent was a Large, which fit me wonderfully. Looking at the size chart, the Large is a 32-34 and XL is a 34-36. Depending on the brand, I base my size off of a 35/36, so I would have bought the XL, ESPECIALLY since this was a mesh pair, thinking the mesh wouldn’t stretch nicely. I find the Large to fit very well, and I would say, if you might be near straddling two sizes, order the size smaller, because the mesh is very accommodating.

I wanna start by saying the pair is very comfortable and I like it very much. The small things that I have problems with aren’t big enough that it truly hurts my opinion of this pair. Think of them as things to keep in mind, before you go ahead and order this pair (heehee). Mostly, my issues revolve around the butt straps. They are really wide, and there is elastic trim hemming the edges (both around the thighs, and around the butt-framing edge). This creates a strap with a much sturdier edge than middle, whereas a standard elastic strapped jock would be equal tension across the entire strap. I found that this, mixed with my nice muscular but sizable, demanded some “dressing” when I first put the pair on. However, once the pair was properly on, I found no real need to adjust the straps any more. The next negative might only be towards a specific audience; if you like some support from under your junk in your undies, read on. I like the anatomical pouches and the lift and protrude-type undies, as well as my normal tighter briefs and things, because I like keeping my goodies in their pouch. If a pair of undies doesn’t have enough tension from behind pulling the bottom of the pouch into your perennial region, it allows enough slack that some of your “treasures” might fall out of the “chest”. I found that to adjust for that slack, i’d just discretely grab the straps from the back and pull them up a bit. It wasn’t horrible, but it did happen a couple times.

Having said those two things, I really did like this pair of undies. They were extremely comfortable, with a sexy look to them. As I said previously, this pair has definitely helped me start to overcome my avoidance of the mesh type underwear. I wanna get the black with purple pair for myself as well. Cause I can’t say I am a white underwear guy at heart, but I do know I’ll be wearing this pair a lot in the future (especially to the gym, I wanna try that out).

PROs:

  • Very comfortable stretchy mesh.
  • Very breathable to wear in warm weather.
  • Sexy look (approved by myself as well as an outside eye).
  • Cute, non standard color combinations.

CONs:

  • very small amount of fuss to get on and dress the back straps properly.
  • Not perfectly fitted to keep the goodies in the pouch.
