Candyman is known for their amazing costumes. Halloween is around the corner and one pair to consider is the Mechanic’s costume. It comes in black (as shown) and blue. The entire pair is mesh except for the pouch. I wouldn’t wear it around the neighborhood, but it could be great for an adult party or bar. If you want to show if all off this is the costume for you this Halloween. Find it at Candyman Fashion.

NOTE: UNB Tim does consulting work for Candyman Fashion but the opinions here are his own.

99115UndiesMonday is not about wearing something out there like Fetish Friday. Its about wearing something fun. Fun could be a bright color/pattern, new material or a different cut than you are used too (such as brief instead of a boxer brief). I wanted something something fun for the first UndiesMonday and choose the Candyman 99115 Boxer. It may not sound like a sexy name but the pair is pretty fun.

The boxer is a mix of solid and mesh panels and a solid mesh back. But don’t worry it has a solid pouch so you won’t be showing it all off. The mesh comes in two different colors black and pink. That means you can go really wild with the pink or keep it subtle with the black. The solid material is a leather like black material on both colors.

Where would you wear this pair? I could see this under a power suit by an executive. It could also be great under jeans or a casual work environment. Wearing it to the gym maybe a bit much for most guys so make sure you don’t have a gym day.

Find this pair at the Candyman Fashion site for $23.48 in either color. And remember wear fun underwear on Monday for Undies Monday!

FetishFriday!

It’s Fetish Friday! That day we profile something super fun and not your everyday wear! It could be something to wear for a “romantic” night or to a Bar night. These pairs would be for the former unless you are an exhibitionist. The pairs we choose are the Candyman S&M Costumes.

These 3 styles you could have your very on 50 Shades of Grey in the bedroom. As you would expect all three are black but a variation of fun! The first is one for those who love a thong. The 99157 S&M Costume is a mix of a thong and harness with a blindfold and cuffs. Both the cuffs and blindfold are made out of a leather looking material. The thong has almost a harness like look, it crosses in the front and goes over the shoulders. It’s for those who aren’t shy and want to have fun wearing it!

The next style the 99159 is a pair of mesh boxer briefs and a blind fold. You may think you will show off less in this but you would be wrong! The boxer briefs are mesh, except the pouch, and has a lace up back. The blindfold is made out of the same leather like material with some accents around the edge! It’s super fun and sexy!

The last style is the 99161 which is the same as the 99159 except it has the cuffs instead of the blindfold. Granted the cuffs are not super tight but all these are for fun. If you want both the cuffs and blinforld get the 9915.

If you want the real S&M experience you need to get something a bit more fetishy. But for something fun to spice up the bedroom these could just do the trick. Thsee aren’t too over the top or too intense if you want to dip your toe in on the fetish side with your partner. One of the biggest trends in fetish wear is S&M style. More and more brands are having fun with this style of of underwear.

They are super fun and sexy! You can find these at Candyman Fashion

Flag inspired underwear and swimwear have been around for a long time. I remember in the 90’s Tommy Hilfiger created Flag Boxers. This year we have a few pairs for you to show your patriotism. They come from a variety of brands and range from underwear to swimwear! Here are a few pairs to check out

resize_0560-1Clever Flag 0560 Swim Brief – This is a staple of the Clever line. The 0560 brief has been around for over a year. It’s proven to be one of the popular pairs. The weathered flag print and full cut has made it one that looks great at the pool or beach.  Find this pair at the Candyman Fashion  site for $61.90

99154(2)Candyman Thong 99154 Patriotic Thong – Not every pair of flag inspired is a brief. We couldn’t leave out the thong lovers from this list. You can find this pair at ABC Underwear for $28.

Justice BriefPistol Pete Justice Brief – We have profile this pair before but think it deserves another look! The flag print on this pair is one you can get your friends to salute too! CRC-S207200-1_4CA-RIO-CA Team USA Classic – This is a great pair featuring the Flag on the front and a solid red in the back with USA across the back. This is the the traditional sunga cut that is worn in Brazil. Meaning it’s a larger cut with out a traditional pouch. Find this pair at the CA-RIO-CA site for $89.95

The one thing about Candyman that has made it super fun are the costumes. I remember back in about 2010/2011 when they first came on the scene the Cowboy costume was one of their best sellers. It was a cross between underwear and fun wear! It also made the rounds on the Halloween circuit. For that matter many of the Candyman Costumes have been worn to adult parties and bars every Halloween.

Over the last few collections they didn’t update the costumes too much. They had a few new ones but this year they have added Six new costumes. Some are tame and others are dare as you bare! Here are the new costumes.

99108(1)99108 Sailor Costume Outfit – $32.48

99149(2)99149 Mechanic Outfit – $39.48

We all search for that pair of underwear that helps define who we are and what we feel when wrapped in that waistband.  Some guys prefer boxer briefs, while others prefer briefs and so forth.  It may be a brand, a style, or even a color that we feel our best in and really excites are inner being.  As time passes, underwear, like everything else, evolves and changes into something new.  I have always enjoyed many types of underwear from various brands and styles but over the past year I have discovered a style that encompasses everything I love about underwear.9514_0224

The first time I saw the jock-thong I could not believe my eyes.  I love a jock for its exposure, support, and fit.  I love a thong for its sex appeal and the way it makes me feel.  When both were put together, I knew I had to have it for myself.  I bought the Andrew Christian Jock Thong last summer and tried it on.  Oh my it was amazing!  I actually feel that the jock thong adds more support than a regular thong or jock because of the side straps brought together a little closer and tighter by the center strap.  In fact, I recently told a straight male who was interested in getting more into thongs that the jock thong may be a good transition pair of underwear because of its additional support and feel.  The side straps take away some of the pressure from the center strap, making it more jock like than thong like.  So to everyone who enjoys a brief or jock and wants to give a thong a try, this is the way to go.

strappy_back_men's_thong9

I am excited to see more brands taking part in this new underwear evolution.  Andrew Christian was my first jock thong purchase and they have since offered a few more selections.  I have recently seen brands such as Jack Adams, Candyman, PPU and more come out with new jock thong combinations.  This is a new market in underwear that has potential to really expand.  As underwear enthusiasts, we need to expand our underwear knowledge and continue to grow with the underwear community.  I encourage anyone to take a chance and sample the jock thong  that is evolving within the underwear community.

Let’s hope 2015 continues to see the development of the jock thong market where men can embrace this new pair.

Here are some great pairs to spice up your work undies. You can find these at many online retailers or at Candyman Fashions.

Candyman-Collection-0009One of the great things about Fetish Friday is stretching fantasy into another dimension. With Halloween around the corner, it seemed like a perfect time to discuss the roleplay fetish and how underwear can enhance this experience. Everyone has heard of sexual encounters where partners pretend to be someone else. There is the doctor and patient, cop and robber, and even the contractor and the homeowner. The possibilities are endless when it comes to roles and scenarios that you can play out. Imagine if there was underwear that could take this roleplay to a whole new level.

Candyman-Collection-0008

Candyman Fashion is an underwear brand that takes underwear and mixes them with sexy costumers to bring a new playfulness to the bedroom. Take for instance, the police officer. The costume underwear features a boxer brief with a fun police design on it. The outfit is complete with a hat, tie, and cuffs to add to the fantasy that this hot cop is going to arrest someone. Another fun costume they feature is the fireman. This boxer brief comes with a strategically placed hose that will be sure to be used before the night is over. The great thing about the Candyman brand is that they recognize fantasy and fun and capitalize on it in their design. These pairs can be worn briefly in part under a pair of pants but are better meant for getting back to the house after dinner and slipping into something more comfortable!

Apart from sexy costumes, Candyman also offers a great variety of fun and stylish underwear with bright vibrant colors, shimmer, zippers, and mesh. These are all excellent additions to the fetish family as they allow for eye popping appeal and have the capability of showing off some skin.

Costumes area a great way to let your imagine run wild and let your inhibitions down. They can add a new dynamic in your sexual encounters or let you escape reality for a day as a character. Since it is Halloween, if you are going to any untraditional costume parties and are feeling a little brave, Candyman could be a winner for sexiest costume! Just make sure it is a warm night!

candyman-99040The one thing I LOVE about Candyman is they are always pushing the envelope to make undies fun! They have done this with the new Color Brief with the cut away sides. Granted sometimes the undies are way over the top, this is the same company that brings us some of the fun and sometimes wild costume undies. Past ones have been Cowboy, Lumberjack, Super Hero and Vampire!

The Color brief is a bikini with two cut out sin the side. I’ll give it to them to do a cut out that is pretty fun. Sometimes I have seen cutouts that really were in odd places. This one creates a great silhouette that shows off accents a guys body. Meaning the cutout isn’t too big and is right place.

One thing I”m sorta on the fence with is the purple color. I love it when companies use non-traditional colors in undies. I love the black and florescent green! But, the purple is something I will have to see in person. Because one thing I have learned is you have to see undies in person rather than pictures. So until then reserve judgement but hats off for using a new color! I think more companies need to step outside the color box and try new colors. Gone are the days where we have “masculine” colors, I think the color palette is open, I mean if we can rock pink undies (and I have and love them), then anything or any color is possible !

Check out the front and back pictures and find this at a retailer near you. The line just launched yesterday so you may have to wait a few weeks for it to show up in stores!

9686-black-1A few weeks ago I decided it was time for me to try some different styles, branch out and buy a few things that I wouldn’t ordinarily wear.  I found this hot item at a decent price ($19.00 at freshpair.com) and decided to give it a shot.  Knowing that I would likely never wear something like this as daily underwear I wanted to just see what it was all about.  And much to my surprise I quite like it.  Pouch front, suspender straps, thong back.  After I got over the feeling that I was having some sort of “Borat” moment I actually started thinking about when and where I could pull something like this off.  If nothing else, this will definitely make lounging around the house more interesting.

Would you or have you ever worn underwear like this?

9684(1)

Me reviewing a boxer? Yep, it’s happening. Ok, so it’s not your conventional boxer. Candyman is a fun playful line of underwear. So in keeping with their brand this boxer is mostly mesh. It is basically all black mesh (96% Nylon, 4% Spandex) except for some piping along the legs and waistband. The same fabric is used for the pouch. It is made of stretch cotton. The pair I received was a green camouflage print. It also comes in a blue plaid. To be upfront as much as I loved the comfort of this garment I was not too excited about the all day adjusting I had to do while wearing it.

I think this is more of a boxer brief then boxer since its design mimics a boxer brief. The fabric is nice quality. Sometimes mesh can be itchy. Is this one? Nope. Sometimes mesh can be soft be cheap and tear easily. Is this one? Nope. Sometimes piping can be sewn incorrectly and not have stretch. This pair never felt constricting around the legs. Even big brands can mess up piping.  One big brand made a pair with piping that I thought was gonna cut my thigh open. I found the nearest pair of scissors and cut the piping. I walked around for a while with just this on. My boyfriend liked the view of my butt encased in mesh but then I had to pull them up as they were slipping down over my bubble butt. Did I get sent a large by accident? After checking the tag (which I had already cut out- ugh- i hate tags.) i saw i had a medium. I know I have been trimmed an inch or more off my waist at the gym. I have also made my giant butt and thighs even bigger. So why are these falling off?

My boyfriend wears boxers sometimes so I ask him, “Is this how these are supposed to fit?”  He told me I was just being too picky. (NEWSFLASH: I am always this picky.) I took them off and he tried them on. He was all-confident that they fit fine until he started walking and they slipped down. Ah ha! I wasn’t being picky. So to make a long story short (too late) the issue for us was the size and the waistband. There isn’t a normal elastic band that would cling to your waist. There is only the piping trim. Mesh material is very forgiving normally because it can adjust and cling to your body. Without the waist being tight enough it just hung, drooped and slipped.

9684(2) 9684(3) 9684(4)

Aside from the waistband the quality of the garment is really great. Mesh can be one of the hardest materials to sew correctly. It snags easily in a machine. And surging mesh seams can show mistakes easily. So this seems to be another case of not having the right size.  If you are gonna order this to show off your butt cheeks (mesh covered butt is a hot look) get a size smaller than you would normally.

And this is another reason why this bubble butt reviewer sticks to wearing thongs. Maybe Candyman can make a line of fun undies for the big booty fellow. If they do they should call it Bubble by Candyman. I usually like the playfulness if Candyman’s design so I was sad about the poor fit but my misfortune is your gain. Order a size smaller!

Pros:

  • Soft mesh
  • Nice Craftsmanship
  • Fun Design

Cons:

  • No waistband to keep it up

99004(7)

Today, I am happily reviewing my first Candyman brand undies; the “Boxer 99004”. I’ve been hoping to review Candyman for a while cause I’ve wanted to know if their quality matches their creativity. I received the sexy fire engine red pair in the mail last week, and definitely had a fun first impression. When I opened the bag at first, I didn’t actually know whether my manly bits were going to actually be visible or not, there was so much mesh netting. Not that I’m against wearing translucent front pouch underwear, but I truly didn’t get it at first. Once completely unfolded though, a pair of quite sassy underwear came into my view. The pair I got to review is a new pair by Candyman, with a front pouch in opaque black, that is set into a fire engine red panel of fabric (you can also get this boxer in a Royal Blue, and a Gunmetal Grey). However, the panel of red ends not soon after as black netting swoops in front of your hips and continues onto the entire back of the underwear, leaving your rear very visible. The boxer is a 93% polyester 7% spandex blend fabric, with a separate pouch cut and a back center seam to contour for the butt. The boxer is a longer cut than you might be used to, I would probably use the term “sport boxer” for the leg length. The black pouch looks to be a fairly standard boxer brief pouch. My worry was about the netting, cause being a seamster myself, I know that some netting just doesn’t have a good amount of stretch to it, so putting the pair on could get awkward. I’ll fill you more in later, but the netting was NOT a bad fabric.

While wearing the pair, I didn’t do too much, but I did run around to do some errands, and felt very comfortable. I wouldn’t wear this to the gym for reasons I’ll talk about later. It is a very nice loungy “bedroom” pair. I could definitely wear this on a date I think was gonna get spicy later…ya know.

I found the sizing on this to be fine. I got a Large size which according to the Candyman size chart is for a 32-34”. I usually buy whatever size a 34” falls under, and I must say, judging by the fact that I’m the higher end of the L range, I could probably wear a medium. Having said that, I am not ready to say Candyman runs large, because I think a lot of the elasticity of this pair is due to the majority of it being made out of a very flexible net. I would say for this pair, definitely you could go a lower size, but I cannot test that fact on all of Candyman until I try other pairs out.

99004(3) 99004(5)

I really like the look of this pair. I mean, I like my butt, people who get to see it do too. I think visually, it’s a really interesting idea, because the front is almost “tame” if I can say that, and then the back is just BAM! My issues are with the wearability of the garment, rather than the aesthetics.  Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the whole anatomical underwear revolution, but I’ve never been too fond of boxer briefs that have a pouch that doesn’t actually hug the genitals. What I mean is, my favorite boxer briefs are when the fabric on the outside of the pouch is snug enough that your package stays in the pouch, instead of having things run around elsewhere. The pouch on this pair doesn’t really hold my stuff in place. Because of the netting being so flexible instead of having tension, there’s not too much support UNDER the genitals, so it’s fairly open down there letting some things wander down below the pouch. I think an entirely net back is a bold idea, and it’s a very sexy idea to pull off, but my biggest issues is that the sheer area the net covers takes out a lot of the structure that would be there if a more sturdy material were covering the same area.  I must say though, this did help me recover from a fear of mesh in underwear. I bought a pair of underwear made all out of mesh from an underwear company I love, and I couldn’t even get it up my thighs. I returned it for a larger size, and couldn’t get that over my butt, it was the LEAST stretchy mesh I’d ever seen, and I think the pair would have only worked on some twinky butt that doesn’t curve as much. Getting this pair did restore my ideas about using mesh in underwear.

PROs:

  • Sexy look.
  • Open breathable construction.
  • Comfortable sizing.

CONs:

  • Un-supportive crotch construction.

Candyman Furnished this pair for review.

99002

The pair I am reviewing today is the Candyman 99002 Silver Boxer and there is no other way for me to describe this boxer than fun. Candyman not only produces great underwear like the 9674 Boxer that I reviewed at the beginning of the year, but they also specialize in “Costume” underwear. The Costume Collection ranges from an orange prison outfit singlet (complete with handcuffs) to a fringed cowboy themed boxer.

While the silver boxer is not categorized as part of the costume collection I think it would fall into it because it isn’t really an everyday underwear but sure is fun looking. This pair is metallic silver with a black net/mesh fabric over the pouch and two rear zippers. The zippers don’t serve much of a practical role, as a matter of fact if you unzip them the back panel will fall off, but they definitely add a unique/fresh look to the pair.

I wore this pair this weekend while running some errands and met my friends for lunch. With a 93% polyester, 7% elastic mix, the fit is snug yet stretchy, however, like most polyester it doesn’t breathe like other materials. Because of the snug stretch, I had no actual issues with the legs riding up while wearing this pair.  However, if you happen to be lounging in a chair however and leaning to one side, you will definitely feel the seams created by the hard plastic zippers. As I mentioned earlier, this is not an “everyday” pair of underwear but for more “special occasions.”

99002(4) 99002(5) 99002(6)

Now, it’s time to talk about sizing. As spring has just sprung, I am dealing with a little winter weight and am between a 36-38 right now but find that I can easily also go between a large or extra large depending on the brand. My previous Candyman review was on an XL pair which we very comfortable. The 99002 that I reviewed however was a large pair and while the material does have a nice stretch, it was less forgiving than the previous pair that I reviewed. So if you are like me and you are in between sizes, definitely opt for an XL.

One of the areas that I feel could be improved was the zippers. There is no fabric guard between the zipper and your skin; and though I don’t think you’ll be using the zippers often, it is possible that you could catch you skin or hair easily. Also, and there is the easy solution of simply cutting it out, the tag is placed inconveniently in the seam of the pouch.

I would not recommend this underwear for everyday wear but I do not believe that was the intent of Candyman when they created this pair. If you are looking for a great unique pair of boxers for the club or a seaside patio party, these might just be the pair for you.

Pros:

  • Fun and unique style
    • Metallic
    • Black net pouch
    • Zippers
  • Elastic provides a great stretch to the boxer

Cons:

  • Polyester does not breathe
  • No zipper guard
  • Inside tag in the pouch

9695(3)

Believe it or not I have never had a pair of Candyman Underwear. I hear you saying “NO WAY” but I could never fit in them before this year. Candyman is known for making very sexy, fun and erotic underwear. This is not the undies you wear to the gym or maybe even every day. But for a date night they would be amazingly fun to wear.  The pair I have to review is the Candyman 9695 Brief. The brief is white with a gold waistband and a kind of lace up back.

I decided to take a chance and wear it to work. How many times have we all bought “date night” underwear and they last about 2-3 hours before its time they come off one way or another. My initial impressions were I may not like this pair. But, I was keeping an open mind. I usually like pairs with a more defined pouch and hoped it wouldn’t bind as the day went on. Also the back is a lace up and open and that gave me other room to worry. As the day wore on the material, 93% Polyester, 7% Spandex, held up pretty well. I wish it breathed more through the day but it really didn’t bother me too bad. After I put them on and my jeans over I forgot I was wearing a more “erotic” pair of undies. Granted that said I wouldn’t wear them to the gym or do anything super active, but for every day wear or lounging they would be fine.

 9695(2)9695(1)

Sizing was pretty good. If you follow their sizing chart you should be fine. Note that the XL isn’t a 38 or 40 but size 36. So this is smaller then American sizes we are used too. So make sure you follow the sizing guide, if you don’t you maybe sorry. The XL fit me pretty well for a 36 waist.

Overall I liked the pair and will definitely wear it again. I loved the gold waistband and thought it set the pair off nicely. There is a big trend in men’s underwear to bring in metallic accents. The lace up back I thought would just drive me insane through out the day really wasn’t noticeable. I will say it surprised me and became one of my favorite features. My biggest complaint is I wish the material were a little more breathable. If you are super active this will not be something you will like.

I will say I’m enjoying trying different undies now that I can fit in them. Candyman will be on my list and this will be the first of many pairs I plan to own from them. I mean it bites when you can’t wear undies you want to try. Candyman just has fun with undies and it shows in their designs.

Pros:

  • Metallic accents
  • Lace up back
  • Just a fun design

Cons

  • Not a breathable material
  • No defined pouch

Candyman furnished this pair for review.

CM9692When the review package arrived from Tim, I was a bit excited because my life has recently changed dramatically (and for the better) with the birth of my first child. I haven’t had time to really think about underwear outside of browsing the new Spring offerings from my favorite brands. When I opened the package and out came the Candyman 9692 Brief also referred to as the “Zip Around Brief” (on Freshpair). My first reaction in a word, was “Wow!” The brief is definitely on the more risque side, and since my only other pair from this brand is the mostly basic,  Candyman Jockstrap 9656 I wasn’t prepared for something I’d consider out of my comfort zone. The 9692 Brief comes in White and Black and is available anywhere Candyman is sold online.

Since I knew I wouldn’t be able to get a full day’s wear out of these briefs, I decided to wear them from post-evening workout until my bed time on a night in which I’d be running around the house packing for a vacation to Florida. Given the overall construction of the brief (I will delve into specifics shortly) I was surprised how well it stood up over the 4-5 hours I had them on, while running up and down our stairs to pack. While generally this brief is probably better for “a night of fun” I would venture to guess that you could wear it all day, but as I’ll discuss shortly, you probably won’t want to.

As has been the case with Candyman so far, the 9692 Brief fits fairly true to size to perhaps just slightly larger (American Sizing). My pair was an XL (34-36) and they seem to fit my 36 inch waist comfortably. Since Candyman doesn’t have any gaps in their size chart (L=32-34, XL= 34-36) you may want to size down if you’ve got one of the matching waist measurements, e.g. If you’re a 34 inch waist, get a Large.

The brief itself is constructed with 96% Nylon and 4% spandex. The majority of the brief features what Candyman refers to as a “Modern Mesh” which given the materials used, are fairly elastic and move with you. Unlike most mesh briefs that are micromesh, the mesh pattern on these briefs is large, almost emulating a typical lace design. As if the mesh weren’t enough to put this in the “Erotic” category, twin zippers on both the front fly and covering the crack of the wearer’s butt on the rear send this into another dimension in terms of erotic underwear design. Both zippers are made up of a gold (on the black brief) or silver (on the white) leaf like textiles, and are fully functional. The zippers platform also gives the brief its structure, providing a surprisingly roomy pouch for your boys.

On the whole I like the brief for what it is, and I dislike the brief for what it isn’t. I like the attempt  I see with this brief from Candyman. The designed with this brief wanted to adequately marry their fairly standard fare of highly erotic pieces with their less standard, but still readily available practical pieces. It is a goal that I think the designer achieved with the 9692 Brief, which is what makes the pair likable for what it is. There really seems to be a “catch” to this success though, and that is even though they found a way to make a sexy and somewhat practical product, the brief has too many elements that make it unwearable as daily wear, and I just simply can’t get over that. While I stated that this brief had a “surprisingly roomy” pouch, that doesn’t mean I was satisfied. Given the design itself, I knew the pouch was going to be cramped and it still is, it was just less cramped than I expected it to be once I got it on.

Personally this is an extremely difficult review for me to write. While I definitely am an adventurous underwear fanatic (no problem wearing skimpy thongs, briefs, etc) this particular pair is hard to really compare to any of the other “risque” underwear for a couple of reasons. The first is that my mind has a hard time getting over underwear with large sturdy zippers as a part of their design because I typically associate designs with those elements as conducive to an erotic BDSM lifestyle with which I know nor feel nothing. The second issue is perhaps more relevant to the review itself-which is the fact that until now, there really isn’t a pair of underwear I own that I can’t wear all day, including all of the more risque styles in my drawer. I want a brief to be wearable and this one isn’t for daily wear purposes at least.

Overall, while I personally wouldn’t buy the Candyman 9692 Brief for myself, that does not mean it isn’t a good or even great pair of underwear.

Pros:

  • The color options. I love gold on black and silver on white.
  • Nice marriage of overtly erotic design, combined with solid construction of a basic look (the brief design).

Cons:

  • Zippers in both front and back can get awkwardly placed while sitting or walking.
  • Overall design isn’t quite as inclusive (to a broader customer base) as the “marriage” I talk about above might want it to be.

When I received this pair to review, I saw the word “jockstrap” on the packaging and we super eager to try this on.  So you can imagine my surprise when I opened it up and found this pair inside.  I held it up and looked at it and wondered how it was supposed to go on.  This jockstrap has extra straps on both sides.   Candyman always comes up with eye catching designs and patterns, and this pair definitely fits the bill.   It is available in an array of colors: fuschia, green, orange, yellow, and black.

My day was pretty ordinary.   Other than getting up to stretch my legs a couple of times and walk around the office, I pretty much sat at my desk all day.  All work and no play, as the saying goes.  Which is probably a good thing.  This jockstrap is more about fashion than function, and I feel would be more suitable for a spicing up a special night than an intense workout at the gym.

I received it in a medium.  Some of the items that Candyman offers can be on the small side, but this actually fit me well.  I have a 31” waist, and then waistband sat comfortably on hips.

The striped pattern on the jockstrap is quite fun.  Definitely draws the eye to the goods.  And the material feels great.  A few of the extra straps were pretty loose, which made me wonder how this jockstrap would fit on a guy with a larger or smaller backside.  To get the full effect of how hot this jockstrap is, everything needs to be pulled nice and tight.

Pros

  • hot colors
  • eye catching pattern

Cons

  • extra straps can be a little loose

The pair I get to review is the Candyman Gold Brief 9694.  Before I tried these on, I enjoyed feeling the soft, shiny, satin-like gold fabric with a nice contrasting black waistband and piping around the legs and pouch.  The waistband is about 1.5 inches in width with the Candyman name woven within the band in large lettering.  The pouch appeared to be held onto the body of the brief by two snaps which I immediately snapped apart to find that my theory held true.  The snaps fit directly below the waistband, but above about an inch and a half of fabric meant to be part of the actual brief body.  This is my first pair of Candyman briefs and I enjoyed being able to try them.

I went about my normal and routine day while wearing this par.  I drove an hour to work, taught a college class, went shopping to several stores, taught another college class, and drove an hour back home to relax.  It was a very busy day filled with lots of movement and activity.  The pair fit well, stayed put, and was comfortable during my daily routine.  This pair would hold up well during normal, routine activity. I would not recommend them for a day of serious activity or exercise.

I received a size large in this brief.  This size should cover a 36-38 pant size.  Sizing was true to size, but most websites I have seen recommend sizing up with Candyman.  However, I found this pair to be accurate and well-fitting.

I liked the shiny gold fabric (97%Nylon, 3%Elastane) as it was stretchy and conforming to the body.  The pouch was adequate and should accommodate any size guy without any major issues.  The pull snaps were sturdy and added a nice touch to the pair.  I really liked the snap off pouch as this could be an extremely erotic pair of underwear for that special night.  I only had one dislike about the pair and that was the way the pair actually fit near the snaps.  The fabric bunched up and created an odd, sharp angle directly beside the snap.  If an additional snap was placed below the other snap, it would alleviate this problem.

Overall, this was a nice pair of underwear and I felt sexy and sexual while wearing them.  Candyman seems to be a company that creates underwear to specifically cater to the fun and exciting side of a man.  Also, it seems the designs allow for creativity in a guy and how he can express himself other than with just basic underwear.  It is, after all, that we have a sexy part of our personality that we keep from the world and only show to our most intimate of companions.

Pros

  • Style
  • Fabric

Cons

  • SLIGHT fit issue with the odd angle created by fabric bunching near snap
