One of my goals this year working on the Underwear News Briefs blog is to expose our readers to some brands of underwear that they may not know about. Candyman Fashions is one of those brands that I wanted to bring to our readers.

Candyman Fashions looks to role playing costumes to get inspiration for their underwear. However not all of their undies have a “costume” feel. They have some great undies with a lot of fun, unique, and sexy features that you will not find with any other underwear company. Their fabric is one of a kind and you must experience it to really grasp its uniqueness.

I received the”9516 Zebra Boxer” in a size medium to review. This is one of those styles from Candyman that is not a costume, but just a fun pair of undies. They feature a zebra style pattern on the hips and butt, and a solid black front and inside thigh panel. A solid black logo waistband trims it off and adds a little extra “pop”. When I first pull these undies out of the package, the first thing that I noticed was the fabric. It has a shiny look to it. The black front and inner thigh panel almost looks like leather. However, this fabric feels nothing like leather. It is thin but durable, and it stretches and moves with you without any issues. These undies fit great and looks even better .My first impression of the front pouch wasn’t the best. I found it to be a little small, but as I wore them, they almost conformed and molded to my body and we actually very conformable to wear. The one drawback that I did notice is the leg openings did ride up a little, but not enough for me to really notice too much.

These and many of the other styles from Candyman are great to wear for daily wear, but these undies really shine when you wear them out on the town. The fit is great for all day wear, but the patterns, colors, fabric, and sex appeal of these undies are meant to be noticed. They also can add a little extra spice in the bedroom. I wouldn’t recommend wearing these to the gym or out for a run. I am not saying that you couldn’t, but I believe there are better undies for that. Best to let these eye catching undies be seen in the wild and not full of sweat while you are doing to squat workout.

Overall, I really enjoyed these undies. They add an element of fun and a little “something different” to my ever expanding underwear collection.

I had never really gotten in to jockstraps before I started writing for Underwear News Briefs.  I quickly found what I had been missing for almost 26 years of my life.  Since my first jockstrap purchase a couple of years ago, I have had the opportunity to try a few styles and brands.  I was very excited to find out that I was going to review one of my favorite brands and cuts.

For those of you that are not familiar with Cocksox, they are a men’s underwear company out of Australia.  They have done for men’s underwear what “the push-up bra has done for women”.  Cocksox has expanded its collections to include not only jockstraps but briefs, thongs, and boxers as well.  Their pouch design is unlike any other underwear company out there.  It has been designed and tested to fit your package like…well, a sock!

I received the new black Classic Jockstrap in a size medium to review.  I have worn the waistband brief and loved it so I was very excited to try the jock.  The first thing I noticed was the soft pouch material.  It is made of a high quality Supplex fabric that is very soft and very breathable.  The waistband is not huge, which was a plus for me, especially if I am looking for a jock for everyday wear.  The waistband has the Cocksox logo in a contrasting tan color.  The leg straps are also very soft to the touch.  I would have to say that I prefer leg straps that don’t twist or curl when you put the jock on.  My personal preference is a rounded fabric on the leg straps and not a flat piece, but this isn’t enough reasoning for me to not love this jock.  I will say the look of this jock, both on and off, is one of the sexiest pieces of Cocksox gear I have in my underwear arsenal.

I wore this jock a couple of times to the gym.  It held up nicely and kept everything in place.  It also added a little extra bulge in the front of my mesh shorts to make a few heads turn. I am in the middle of a pretty intense cardio program and never once during my workout did I have to adjust my undies.  I also wore this jock to work, and once again, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.  Sitting at a desk all day, I sometimes find my undies cramping the goods in the crotch. The Cocksox jock couldn’t have fit any better. It stayed in place and the specially designed pouch provided enough room for everything to fit and rest comfortably.

You can purchase any of the Cocksox styles and colors directly from their website. I will tell you that Cocksox does fit a little small so keep that in mind and check their size chart before you buy. The Classic Jock retails for $25.00 online and also come in white.  Thank you to Cocksox for providing us with this pair of underwear to review!

For those of you that have read my reviews and articles here on the blog, you know that I have a few favorite brands of undies.   I don’t, however, have a true brand loyalty to one company or another.  Call me a free spirited underwear guru if you must.  I love having the opportunity to try new brands whenever I can!

A few weeks ago, I received one of the many underwear email promotions I subscribe to and I saw a brand I had never heard of before…Candyman!  I did a little research online and contacted the company to find out more about them since there isn’t a lot online.  After exchanging emails, I scheduled a conference call with Candyman’s vice president to see exactly what this new underwear line was all about!

Candyman was launched about six months ago with the idea that they wanted to provide guys with “something different” when it comes to men’s underwear.  If you haven’t seen anything that Candyman has introduced, they definitely have different nailed down.  The thing I like about Candyman is that they allow you to get as wild as you want, but yet they offer some styles to let you be fun as well.

Candyman gets its inspiration for designs and styles from role playing costumes.  The parent company of Candyman also has a women’s line of role playing costumes and wanted to bring that same fun to a men’s line.  Their 2009 collections offers costume-style undies like “Office Naughty”, “Ride On Cowboy”, “Knockout Nurse” and “Take me in Prisoner”. These are styles that will add an element of fun and excitement to whoever wears them.

Candyman Fashions will be launching their Spring 2010 collection in a few short weeks.  They will be offering about 20% more products over their current collection.  You will see a styles return from their past collection, but you will also see the addition of a firefighter and pilot costume as well.  Candyman’s Spring 2010 collection will also feature some new styles that revolve around a new shiny fabric that looks almost like Latex and will be available in 5 different colors.

Candyman is focused on keeping things fresh.  They will be updating their collection twice a year as opposed to most underwear companies that produce a new line once each year. They pride themselves on shipping orders within 24 hours and have plenty of options including overnight for those of you that can’t wait to get into these undies.  Candyman can be found at numerous online men’s underwear stores as well as many brick and mortar retail outlets.  Check them out and let us know what you think of this fun, crazy, and different underwear company!

Candyman has also sent us underwear for reviews, so be looking for those in the next couple weeks!

UNB has again sent me a new brand of undies to add to my ever expanding collection.  Piss & Vinegar is a brand that, just by its name, is intriguing and according to my boyfriend, fits my personality well.

Piss and Vinegar is actually British slang for “living young at heart”, and made its debut at The Las Vegas Pool Tradeshow at the end of last summer.  Jason Sutherland, designer and creator behind Piss and Vinegar and also the former president of Ginch Gonch, has brought the playfulness of Ginch Gonch to the more grown up arena.  Piss and Vinegar is designed for the guy that doesn’t want to fit into the traditional cultural and conditioned stereotypes.  Piss and Vinegar’s underwear is made of 96% Pima, a very soft and comfortable cotton, and 4% Lycra to give it just enough stretch to mold to and move with your body.  All of their underwear comes with a 1.25 inch microfiber elastic logo waistband.

I received the ”I Love Girls” Cartoon Brief in size 32 (M) to review.  This is one style that is available from the Piss and Vinegar’s “I Love…” Collection, also available with themes like the controversial “I love Jesus” and “I love Buddha” briefs as well as “I love Boys”, “I love Girls” and a few other eye catching styles.  The entire collection comes in briefs, boxer briefs, low rise briefs, and jock straps. I slipped these on right after receiving them, like I do whenever I get undies to review.  The first thing I noticed was that the fabric is very soft and the pattern was fun and colorful.  There was plenty of coverage in the back, but that wasn’t the case in the front.  I thought they could have added a little more fabric to the pouch area, as it felt a little cramped.  I took them off and put them aside to wear the next day… ALL DAY, as that would be the true test.

When I wore them for an extended period of time, I found that the cramped feeling I got in the pouch area wasn’t as noticeable and I didn’t seem to mind it much.  They stayed with me all day and didn’t ride up at all.  I did have a little bunching in the rear towards the end of the day but nothing that would stop me from wearing them again and again.  I also decided to take them one step further and wear them during my cardio workout that night.  They held up really well and even with a little sweat, they did great.  They didn’t offer a lot of support in the front when I was exercising, but I don’t think Piss and Vinegar had that in mind when they designed these.

If you are into underwear half as much as me or the other guys on the blog, I am sure you have heard of AussieBum. The Australian based underwear company is known for its fun prints and wild fabrics. This was my first pair of AussieBums and it won’t be my last.  I fell in love with this company before I received them in the mail. Being a marketing guy, I love what they have been doing in not only the traditional marketing arena, but also online with social networks like Twitter and Facebook.

My AussieBum briefs were of the Clan Collection with the tribe print.  This print is a navy, red, yellow and white plaid that is very eye catching. The Clan Collation comes in a variety of other plaid type prints and you can get them in either a trunk or a brief cut.  Both come with a logo imprinted waistband and are made with a 75% Polyester and 25% Elastane material. I don’t know where to start when I try to describe what the material feels like.  It is silky, yet durable, and has a slight hint of shine.

clan2

The first thing I noticed was how soft yet durable the material was.  I looked in the mirror and then noticed how amazing they made my figure look.  They were cut perfectly.  They were just tight enough to make everything look firm and well supported, yet not tight enough to make them restricting. The leg openings were also well constructed and I don’t foresee them stretching out.

I have reviewed and worn some great undies. The one thing I look for when I review underwear is how different they appear from traditional underwear, or the “what makes this brand so special” points. The Clan by AussieBum is a collection which has all of the little things to make it stand out from the rest of the brands that simply “make underwear”.

clan3

Overall AussieBum exceeded my expectation when it came to this collection of underwear. From its amazing fabric to its perfect fit, everything about these AussieBum’s is perfect!

I consider myself very diverse when it comes to brands and cuts of underwear.  I have had the opportunity to expand my diversity and my collection thanks to the UnderwearNewsBreifs.com website.  One brand I was super excited to review was Cocksox.  Just cx03_red_side-1from their band name, this was a brand I knew I would enjoy.

I had the opportunity to try the white Cocksox Brief with the new waistband in a size small. The first thing I noticed was the pouch.  Cocksox is known to help enhance your package with its “sox” design.  There are no rings or slings in these bad boys though; just an over sized pouch that is designed to fit the natural curve of your package.  The fit is a little tighter than most standard briefs, but with the pouch design, it felt as if I wasn’t wearing anything.

The fabric is a unique blend of 92% Supplex and 8% Lycra.  These undies stretch in every direction, making them one of the best pairs of undies I own.  They don’t bunch or ride and this unique blend of fabrics is so light weight, which in the hot humid summers of Iowa, is much appreciated. The waistband is also made of very comfortable elastic and is branded with the Cocksox logo in blue.

cx03_mhblue_backIf I had to find one downfall of these undies, it would be the way they are cut along the butt.  The cut is very high and doesn’t offer as much coverage as a normal brief allows your back end. I am a “less is best” kind of guy, making this not such a huge issue for me, but can see where it might catch a few guys off guard.

Overall, I really enjoyed the Cocksox brief with the new waistband.  The “sox” design makes these undies some of the most comfortable I own. I have worn them both for daily wear and out for a run and these undies held up for both.  I have already ordered 2 more pairs from this amazing Australian brand. One thing to watch out for is the sizing.  I am a 32 inch waist and in most undies, I take a medium. With Cocksox, however, the size small fits me perfectly.  Check out their sizing chart on the website to make sure you get the right size.  If not, Cocksox does have a pretty good exchange/return policy.

P1500_Pure_Boxer Brief_F_Black

A couple of months ago, the UNB team had the opportunity to talk to some of the executives at Baskit about doing a contest with their underwear and featuring it on our blog. When I found out the contest was going to feature Baskit’s /pure/ collection, I was very excited.

If you aren’t familiar with this unique collection from Baskit, you should be.  They are taking “Green” to a new level… mens undies.  All the undies in the /pure/ collection are made from 100% organic cotton.  If you haven’t felt this fabric, it is some of the softest, 100% cotton fabric I have felt.

I received a pair of the /pure/ Boxer Briefs in the natural white color.  When the shipment came, I could tell they didn’t just put the “green” in the undies, they used a box that is made from 100% recycled cardboard.  I pulled these natural beauties out of the box and slipped them on.  I received a size medium and it fit me very well. The natural white color is more of a cream, so if you are looking for a bright white, make sure you order the “super white” color.  This collection also comes in “basic black”. All cuts also sport a green logo waistband, which is amazingly soft as well.

The boxer briefs fit comfortably. I did notice that the leg openings might have an issue with stretching out in the future, but only time will tell. They didn’t feel as strong as I had hoped.  With that in mind, however, I didn’t have a problem with these undies riding up at all throughout the day.  They stayed in place and didn’t bunch.

Overall, I think it is great that Baskit is doing an eco-friendly collection. I think you will start to see more underwear companies start to work more of the “green” theme into future underwear lines. Baskit is one of my favorite brands and I am glad that we have had the opportunity to review and promote this company on the UnderwearNewsBreifs.com blog. These undies are amazing and I am already eying the jock to add to my collection.

JSBUL02WTSHfront JSBUL02BKSHback

Thongs aren’t just for the ladies anymore and I was bound and determined to prove it. I set out a couple months back to look for my very first male thong. At first, all I wanted to use it for was to maximize the amount of skin I could get tanned while laying in a tanning bed, but it soon became more. It became a quest to find something that was comfortable and didn’t feel like I was wearing dental floss.

I am such a huge fan of Undergear, both their website and their print catalog, that I am sure the mail man asks wonders 6152216M-Lime-1things every time he drops it in my mailbox. Naturally, that is where I started my search.  I had seen plenty of different styles, colors and fabrics. Now all I had to do was figure out what exactly I needed.

The first thing I noticed was the range of male thongs that fall into the intimate apparel category.  If you are looking for something that is more than “just a little sexy”, then your options are as broad as your imagination can take you. I was looking for something that wasn’t going to fall apart the first time I washed it. I continued to look at other alternatives. I noticed that the number of designer brands, adding a thong or g-string to their collections,  was growing with every catalog I received.

As I was flipping through the pages, I saw a fairly new brand of underwear that UnderGear started carrying a few months before. Clever is the brand and their Basic Thong instantly caught my attention. It has a one inch waistband and comes in some fun colors. It was also inexpensive. That is something that definitely caught my eye. Since this was my first thong purchase, I didn’t want to be out a ton of money if I didn’t like it. I ordered it in lime green and size medium, which is the same size undies I wear.

When the thong arrived, I tried it on. I wasn’t impressed at all and was disappointed. Not to have been taken advantage of by my mild obsession with new undies, I decided to give it another shot during one my many trips to the tanning bed. After I had w70sGSbackorn it for my 10 min tan time, I got up and realized that after a few short minutes. I didn’t notice it at all. I continued to wear it when I went to the tanning bed. This thong held up great, and was perfect for my short 10 min sessions in the tanning bed.

After a few weeks had gone by, it was no big deal and the thong fit didn’t bother me at all. I thought I would take it one step further and try it for everyday wear. I decided one morning that I was going to wear it to work. I slipped it on, took a deep breath, and off I went. I was amazed at how well it felt for all day wear.  I was afraid I would find myself constantly picking at my butt, but it stayed in place and wasn’t intrusive in the slightest bit. I have worn the thong many times since then and haven’t looked back.

The biggest challenge I faced with was finding the thong that interested me.. Thongs come in many different cuts and they all wear differently. Look around and find something that is exactly what you are looking for or needing for the perfect fit.  Don’t just settle on one. Many underwear designers offer thongs. Clever was a new brand for me. Find your favorite brand and see what they have to offer. Since my thong purchase, I have given Clever much more business!

Thongs aren’t just for the ladies. In fact, guys that are gay, straight, and otherwise, are jumping on the male thong bandwagon. It is one of the fastest growing trends in male underwear today! Isn’t it about time you open up your mind to something new! I did and am a fan for life!

I love getting the opportunity to try new brands of undies that I have never before owned.  I feel I have an extensive collection, but when I have the opportunity to expand my underwear collection even more, I get very excited. With that being said, when I found out I was getting a couple pairs of JustUs Boyz, a brand I have read and heard lots about, I couldn’t wait!

JustUs Boyz is a men’s collection put out by the JustUs Clothing Company in Royal Oak Michigan. JustUs Boyz offers a wide range of underwear from jocks and hip briefs to boxers and fitted trunks. They also offer hoodies and thermals as well as a huge line of accessories.

I was very excited to get two pairs of their fitted, trunk style undies, one in the “Solider Boyz Like it Hard” and “Gay Boyz Like It Hard” styles. The Solider style is a tan camouflage print with the words “Soldier Boyz Like It Hard” screen printed on the left thigh. It has a matching tan elastic waistband with the JustUs Boyz logo embroidered on it. The Gay Boyz style is a white undie with the words “Gay Boyz Like It Hard” printed on the left thigh. It has an accented Royal Blue waistband. Both of these styles fit the same.

These undies caught my eye before I got them out of the box.  If you haven’t ever seen the box that JustUs Boyz comes in, it is well worth it. I will leave it at that! These undies fit much like any other trunk cut would. They are cut a little higher on the hip, but from a guy that likes trunk cuts, it was not noticeable at all.  Besides being cut a little different, it was hard for me to find anything about this style that really stood out.  The JustUs Boyz trunk has a pretty standard pouch and there is enough fabric to provide for optimal coverage.  I will say that both styles wear great for everyday wear.

Overall, these were just above average for me. I wish they would have taken the creativity further then a screen print saying on the leg. I will, however, be trying more from this brand.  Their clothing line looks great and the jocks are amazing from what I have heard. I am definitely not ready to through in the towel on this brand.

Let’s face it, It’s hard to physically make your penis bigger. A new trend in men’s underwear, however, might be able to help you out without going under the knife. Who wants someone rummaging around down there with a knife anyways? Whether you like it or not, both women and men are looking at your bulge. Why not give them something to stare at? Men’s enhancement undies have come a long way in the last year. No more of those noticeable butt pads or restricting pouches. These advancements have taken men’s underwear to a whole new level. Why waste your time on pills, creams, and expensive surgeries when you can get yourself a nice pair of enhancement undies? Get them and watch what happens!

There are many different types of butt enhancement undies out on the market. All of these styles will help cure the “flat ass”front-4-30-09_03 problem most of us guys suffer from. The first style offers a pad that conforms to the shape of your butt and adds just the right amount of curve to your back end. The problem with this type of enhancement is that the pads are often noticeable through whatever types of pants you might be wearing and aren’t the most comfortable. Obviously, at the end of the night, when your pants are on the floor, you may have some explaining to do. My recommendation for rear enhancement are the undies that offer an almost jockstrap like elastic ring that lifts your butt up and makes it more pronounced. It’s almost like giving your ass a shelf on which to rest. Andrew Christian’s flashback line is a perfect example of this kind of rear enhancement. Look for my review on these in a couple of days.

For those of us that are looking for a little help up front, or maybe just want your package to be more pronounced, you have a few more options. Many types of frontal enhancement undies can be very uncomfortable for some guys. If you get a pair of enhancement undies and they are uncomfortable, make sure you don’t continue to wear them as they might cause more 1223-White-Backdamage than the appearance of a bigger bulge is worth.

The “sling” style of frontal enhancement underwear has a “loop” of elastic/fabric that can be adjusted to fit your package. It brings your penis and sack together and lifts them up and out, giving the illusion of a bigger package. This is much the same way a cock-ring works. This style is great if you are going to be active, as your package is always presented forward. One example of this is C-IN2’s No Show Army Trunk with Sling Support.

Another type of frontal enhancement underwear is the oversized pouch. This style is very similar to any other pouched type of underwear that you might find online or in the stores. The different is in how the pouch is UG9E_AH465_LMconstructed and placed onto the underwear. In an enhancement pouch pair of undies you will notice that the pouch is larger and there is more room for everything. The pouch has also been moved from the middle of the front of the underwear to just a little above the middle. This once again allows your bulge to sit in the pouch, lifting your “stuff” up and out. I have found this type of enhancement underwear is sometime better fitted in a smaller size. It is easy for your package to fall out if the fabric around the pouch if the material of the legs is not tight enough to the skin. A great pair of this type of enhancement underwear is the Body Tech™ Maximiser Trunk. Very Comfy!

The last type of frontal enhancement undies I am going to cover is the “cup” type of enhancement. This also happens to be my favorite of the types! It combines a pouch and an elastic support panel. Your package fits into the pouch and the elastic panel provides lift, bringing your package up and out. At first, I was a little concerned with how comfortable this would be on the underside of my package. I was pleasantly surprised that if you have a front-4-30-09_02roomy pouch and a soft elastic support panel, it is functional and great for extended and active wear. Andrew Christian’s Show-It collection is a terrific example of this. I can’t wait to try the jock in this collection!

As you can see, there is a ton of options for enhancement underwear for both your front and rear and from cuts that are great to sport on a night out on the town, to cuts that are great for all day wear. Remember that comfort is always important. Don’t think enhancement undies are only for small guys either. With a great pair of enhancement undies, you can boost your confidence and flaunt what you were given. Find your style and let the fun begin.

Show-It Boxer by Andrew Christian

So, I have never owned a pair of Andrew Christian undies, so when I got the new Andrew Christian “Show-It” boxer, I couldn’t wait to get into them. The pair I received to review was in the Navy and Light Blue color and came in a size medium. The contrasting colors with the red accents make these undies very easy on the eyes. At first site you would have no idea that these were frontal enhancement undies.

The Show-It design has a hidden “comfy cup” that gently lifts your package giving it a bigger more pronounced appearance. When I first saw the way these undies where constructed, I was a little apprehensive about the elastic being uncomfortable under my package; but as soon as I slipped into them, the elastic on the “comfy cup” wasn’t even noticeable. According to the Andrew Christian website and packaging, the Show-It design will add up to 1.5 inches on to your frontal measurement. This is something that I noticed right away. My package was lifted and presented in a way, that no other frontal enhancement underwear as been able to do.

The Show-It Boxer also offers Andrew Christian’s “Anti-Muffin Top” elastic waist. The way these undies are put together, they help those of us that have a little extra in the love handle areas around the waist. They actually make you look thinner. This is always a plus.

Overall, I am very impressed with what Andrew Christian has done with this boxer, leaving me to say, “Where have these been all my life”? The “comfy cup” is amazingly comfortable, as well as the rest of the boxer as it is constructed with high quality cotton and spandex. From the logo encrusted waistband, to the anti-stretch leg openings, and the single seam up the back, this boxer is by far the most comfortable enhancement pair of undies that I have ever worn

So, I got my first shipment of undies from UNB to review, and boy did I get a great deal. Two pairs of the new Gigo collection for summer of 2009. I had seen the new wild styles in a couple of catalogs and online, and was intrigued. When they showed up, “LOUD” would be the word I would use to describe them. I got Silver Pink trunk and the purple, almost leopard printed, Purple Posse Trunks. Both pairs are not your typical “Tighty–Whities”, but if you are looking for some fun looking undies any of the Gigo line is going to be exactly what you are looking for.

Both pairs of the Gigo undies are cut a little small, but still fit very nicely; no fudging room allowed fellas. Both pairs I received came in a size medium, which fit my size 32 waist pretty well. The Gigo line fit a little lower on the waist as well. The fabric on both pairs is some of the softest that I have felt in a well put together pair of undies. It is thin, but very high quality blend of nylon, Lurex, and spandex, allowing for great movement for everyday wear.

The pouch of the Gigo line trunks is also very well cut, and reinforced with a little extra stitching. There is one seam up the back, but is not intrusive or noticeable at all. The Waistband is branded with the Gigo logo which is something that I like in a good pair of undies. Overall both these styles are fit and constructed very well.

For some guys, the styles that Gigo offers may be a turn off. I don’t think I would recommend wearing them to the gym, but for the guy that is looking for a fun night out on the town, in a pair of undies that feel good on the skin, offer the right amount of movement, and make you feel a little sexy; these are the styles you have been looking for.

The Gigo Silver Pink and Posse Trunks are $28.00 but also come in brief, g-string, and jockstrap, with pricing around $25.00. Gigo can be purchased at Underwear Station, which also offers many other styles, cuts and colors of the Gigo underwear line. I hope you have just as much fun in these undies as I did.
