PPU Tuxedo 1312 Thong and 1325 Boxer BriefNeed some underwear for your wedding or to wear with your tux for other formal occasions? Now a days tuxedos aren’t just black and white. You have color options. So PPU added two new colors to their Tuxedo line of thongs and boxer briefs. They already offered the traditional colors of black and white in both the thong and boxer brief.

Now you can get your tuxedo thong or boxer brief in white or blue too. Both styles feature a gray wide waistband with the PPU brand name on it. The white version does have some red incorporated into the waistband. The blue features the v-neck display of the white shirt with a blue button(s) and bow tie on the pouch. For the white color, it has a red shirt for the v-neck opening with white button(s) and bow tie on the pouch. The original color black and white features a white waistband with a white shirt with black button(s) and bow tie on the pouch. The thong only shows one button while the boxer briefs shows three on the shirt on the pouch.

They are both made out of a stretch mircofiber fabric made of 93% nylon and 7% spandex. They describe the fabric as feeling great against your skin and forms an ultra smooth fit. Both the thong and boxer briefs are available in sizes small to extra-large.

The Tuxedo line 1312 and 1325 would make for a great pair of underwear for your wedding night. I’d push you to go for the thong for an extra special night. Though either choice would be a fun way to sure up your wedding day wear. They’d also be a great choice to wear under your formal wear for other events. Why not have fun with your underwear and be formal throughout your whole outfit.

PPU 1603 ThongPPU likes to get creative with their underwear designs. If you’re looking for a thong or a g-string that is a bit different then PPU’s 1603 is one to consider. From the front you’ll ask yourself is it a thong? Or is it a g-string? From the back you’ll see it is a g-string.

What stands out of this pair is the two different waistband styles. You have the wide sporty elastic on one side and then a thin g-string type elastic on the other. The thin elastic then threads through the thick elastic in the back to attach to the pouch. This thong is available in 4 colors: black, green, red, and white. The black is all over black. What they call green is more of a turquoise. It has a white thick waistband with a blue stripe down the middle. The thin elastic waistband is blue and runs around the pouch also. The red has a white thick waist band with a red stripe, but the thin waistband is white. Gray is used for the thick waistband on the white pair. The thin side is a light blue. The thin waistband runs around the pouch on all of these thongs.

The pouch is centered seamed for support and definition. The fabric is a microfiber that is made of 93% nylon and 7% spandex. PPU 1603 thong is available in sizes small to extra large and are made in Colombia.

I’m one that likes to stick with a standard design for my underwear, but this is one I’d consider. What I like about this pair is it’s one that isn’t too far out there. The design appears like it would still work well for everyday underwear, which is my goal with my underwear purchases. This would be a great thong or g-string to add a little character to the drawer.

PPU 1607 Bikini

Hey bikini lovers and PPU fans, we are introducing you to bikini style 1607 from PPU. This is a new bikini they’ve added to their 2017 collection. What makes this bikini a bit different than others is the two metal rings that create a figure eight uniting each side. PPU also adds different color piping to give some pop to this bikini.

The 1607 bikini is available in 3 colors with contrasting piping along the waist and leg openings. The color options are black, green, and white. The black has gold piping and gold stitching down the center seam of the pouch. The piping on the green is white, but the center seam is in a green thread. The white bikini’s piping and center pouch seam are light blue. The fabric is advertised as a silky microfiber fabric forming a smooth, body-defining fit. It’s a blend of 90% nylon and 10% spandex. One more thing with the fabric is it has little hearts embossed in it adding even a little more character to this bikini.

What interests me about this pair is the accented piping and the embossed fabric. I’ve been drawn to pairs that have color accenting to their piping and stitching. I like how the embossing gives the fabric some texture. Both of these give this pair some personality, which is nice to have in a pair of underwear. Of course, the metal rings do too, which is a feature I haven’t tried in a pair yet.

If you want something that is on the classic side, but with some flare then you need to check out the PPU 1607 bikini. It’s a pretty classic bikini cut with its narrow sides and a back cut that just shows off enough. The metal side rings, accent piping, and embossed fabric brings the fun into this bikini.

Underwear Thankfulness - The Bottom DrawerWith it being the Thanksgiving holiday here in the US, I thought I’d do a post on my underwear thankfulness. I’m especially thankful I discovered there is more in the men’s underwear market than boxers or briefs. How life would be so dull with either of these choices. Discovering bikinis and thongs has opened a whole new realm for me.

I’m thankful for this discovery, because it has made life more fun and interesting. It’s enjoyable picking out, which underwear I’m going to wear for the day. I’m thankful for the confidence and sexiness bikinis and thongs bring with wearing them. Who doesn’t need a confidence boost and feel a little sexy? They allow me to be a little adventurous, wild, and bold while still being on the reserved side on the outside.

I’m thankful for the Internet. I believe it is one of the biggest factors in growing the men’s underwear market. It has brought the possibilities for finding more variety of cuts, colors, fabrics, and brands. Now my wallet might not be as thankful for these selections. Also I’m thankful that the Internet has made it easier to express my passion for bikinis, thongs, and swim briefs. Along with getting in touch and staying in touch with a lot of great lovers of underwear.

I’m thankful for my wife. She supports my underwear choice and seems to enjoy my choice of bikinis and thongs. She also does encourage me to wear a swim brief at times, so thankful for that too. I’ve talked to others that do not have this luxury of spousal support. On the other side I have heard from many that do have very supportive wives.

I’m sure I’m missing some things I should be thankful for. In general I’m thankful I took the plunge to try bikinis and thongs. What are you thankful for about your underwear?

Kiniki Cambridge CollectionKiniki has introduced the Cambridge collection made out of a supplex lycra fabric. It is as soft as cotton, but absorbs moisture more quickly. This is great material for working out and athletes. Of course great for everyday wear too. They are offering five styles and three color options in the collection. The three colors are blue, orange, and pink. They remind me of a stonewashed look with more of a speckled white within the color and faded.

Kiniki offers all the styles in sizes S to XXL. Let’s look at the styling offering from most coverage to least. The panel hipster is a great choice for those boxer brief fans. They feature a seamless supportive front panel for a comfortable fit and support. All colors have a gray waistband with the Kiniki name on it. For those that like boxer briefs with less of an inseam then the Hipster is one to look at. Only different from the panel hipster is less of an inseam. They offer a classic brief with the seamless supportive front panel and same gray waistband.

The last two styles are for the thong wearers. First up is the thong that features a black elastic waistband. I guess you could call it a tanga thong, since the colored fabric isn’t integrated into the sides. It has a centered seamed front contour pouch. Kiniki also offers a g-string in the Cambridge collection. It has a thin black elastic waistband and string back. The pouch is centered seamed for contour.

This collection almost has all the basic styles covered. It’s missing a bikini cut, which I think would be a great addition to it. I personally like the stonewashed color look of the fabric, which is what draws me into this collection. The fabric sounds great too.

JOR Sport Swim Thong 0355Like a sporty look with your swimwear? The JOR sport swim thong (0355) may be just what you are looking for. I’m a fan of the sporty looking swimsuits (underwear too). I especially like the ones that feature the race stripes on the hips. I think this is due to me being a fan of the brand Adidas. These thongs feature two stripes on each hip. It also has accent colored piping and waistband to help round out the sport look.

This JOR sport thong is a bit different than most swim thongs I’ve seen. The front of these will give the impression you are wearing a swim brief. Then to everyone’s surprise when you turn around they’ll be seeing some cheeks. The back of this thong gives a look between a cheekie and a thong. You get the top half of your behind covered and then the rest exposed. The back and pouch is joined by a string, so not much fabric between the cheeks.

This thong has a drawstring that ties on the outside adding to the sports look. These are available in 4 colors. The colors black, blue, and gray feature white for the waistband, piping, stripes, and drawstring. The color white highlights those features with black. The thongs are made out of a microfiber fabric that consists of 84% nylon and 16% polyester. They’re available in size small to extra large. These do have a brand tag on the left hip with the JOR star and name.

I think the JOR sport swim thong would be a great choice for those that want to test out the thong waters. This would be a great thong for transitioning into the world of swim thongs with the swim brief looking front and a little extra rear coverage. For those who already made the transition then this might be a good conservative pair to have on hand. Either way this thong is a unique one that you may want to consider.

JOR TAYRONA BIKINIWe introduced this bikini a little while back, but thought it was worth another shout out. What do you think of when you hear the underwear brand JOR? What comes to my mind with the brand JOR is their wide elastic waistbands with their name on it. That type of waistband is a turnoff for me when it comes to bikini or thong underwear. So I am excited that JOR has introduced a bikini in their line up that is to my liking. For those of you that are like me, you’ll want to check out JOR’s new bikini underwear called Tayrona (0314). It’s what I consider a true bikini.

This bikini is a low rise style with full frontal coverage and contoured pouch that supports and defines. The backside does show off a little of the cheeks. Always a great feature for a bikini. It’s made out of a super soft, stretch microfiber fabric that is 96% polyester and 4% spandex. They say it is soft and resilient and retains shape and color through wash and wear. The bikinis are handmade in Colombia of USA and Colombian fabrics.

I’m also not one that likes to advertise the brand I am wearing, so I like how JOR does the branding on these bikinis. They have a small tag with the JOR star and name, which is nice and subtle. You have the choice of three colors: Candy (pink), Orange, or White. All three colors have accent stitching that runs the outside edge of the bikini. I think it adds a bit of character to them. They’re available in sizes small to extra large.

If you like low rise underwear and want a lean cut with a sexy edge then check out the JOR 0314 Tayrona bikini. It’s the first true bikini underwear I’ve seen introduced from JOR. Let’s make this a popular pair for JOR, so they introduce more of this style without the thick elastic waistband.

Gregg Homme Camo CollectionAre you a veteran, active military, a hunter, or just a fan of camo? If so Gregg Homme has a new collection for you of camo. The Camo collection offers you seven selections. These are chaps, muscle t-shirt, regular t-shirt, boxer brief, pouch (g-string), bikini brief, and thong. Gregg Homme is a luxury brand known for their quality and great fabrics, so you’ll pay a bit more for their items.

The camo collection features Gregg Homme’s newest Italian mesh fabric. First we’re going to cover some of the items teaming up with faux leather. The first item we’ll look at is chaps. The chaps are the only item that has the faux leather as the feature fabric. Then they are accented with a strip of mesh camo down the outside of the legs. These have a lacing closure at the back along with the classic Gregg Homme embossed patch logo in front. The muscle t-shirt and regular t-shirt use the faux leather for accenting around the armholes and neckline. The last item that adds the faux leather into the mix is the boxer briefs. It uses the leather to accent the leg openings and highlighting the pouch. The pouch is a black knit fabric, so will keep the family jewels concealed.

The pouch, bikini brief, and thong are made out of just the mesh camo fabric. These all feature the classic Gregg Homme embossed patch logo at the front center. With this being a mesh collection, there is sheerness to it. The camo print does do what camo is meant to do and does help some with concealment of what is underneath. This is the type of mesh I like, since it doesn’t tell the whole story.

For me camo brings back memories of my childhood pretending to be in the military. You know being on special forces going on secret missions. Did you do the same thing? If so maybe you should bring back those memories even more with some the items from Camo Collection. Go ahead get that camo on and treat yourself to some new covert operations.

Battle of the BulgeUNBTim did a post called “Showing A Bulge? Is It Too Much?” Before that post, Tim and I had a conversation on it, so it inspired me to join him with my own post. We both think there is a line where we personally think it is okay to show the bulge and not to. That line is pretty similar for us.

Like Tim quoted me in his post, Women have the push up bras for cleavage boosting, so why shouldn’t we be able to have some enhancement to our bulge. Now I do believe there is a point of too much for the public eye. For your partner, I say the more the merrier. I know my wife likes seeing some bulge coming from under my clothes.

I’m a bikini and thong wearer and I find that a good fitting snug pair will give a boost without them being an enhancing pair. The fact that they lift the sack up and out gives you a bit more of the bulge. Along with them keeping everything in place front and center.

Personally I don’t really pay much attention to my bulge factor. I haven’t come across any awkward situations related to showing a bulge. None of my pairs are what I would call enhancing. Yes, some of my underwear pouches do give more lift than others.

I think the bulge factor comes down to intent. I see giving yourself a little boost to the package as a way to increase confidence, which is an enhancement plus. If your sole purpose is just to show off and get the biggest boost possible then I see that as a negative. Yes, it is fine to show off to your partner or maybe clubbing. Most other times I don’t think it is necessary.

My biggest pet peeve with bulge showing off is with swim briefs or smaller swimwear. Enhancing the bulge in swimwear is one of the biggest things that I think is hurting their acceptance. People seem to have a hang up on the male anatomy being accentuated by lycra and defining it more is just making it worse.

To bulge? or not to bulge? is the end question. To that I say use common sense. Bulge at the appropriate times and places. Do not over enhance and hurt the image of men’s bikinis, thongs, and other undies along with the swim brief. There still is a long ways to come in their acceptability and inappropriate bulging can set them back even more.

JOR Ipanema Swim Thong (0354)Welcome to Ipanema Baby! Jor has added swim thongs to their line up. Let me introduce you to the Ipanema swim thong (0354) from JOR. If you are a swim thong fan or thinking about trying one out? Then take a look at the Ipanema swim thong. These are a pretty standard swim thong that would be great for anywhere it is acceptable to wear thongs. It actually might have a little more coverage than a traditional thong. Could be a great thong to break into the beach scene for the first time.

Like I mentioned this thong is along the lines of a traditional cut. With them being a low rise cut and slightly wider sides, it gives the impression of more back coverage than I typically vision a thong having. These offer full frontal coverage with a center seamed front pouch. They say it is an ergonomically shaped pouch that provides extra comfort thanks to the anatomical fit.

These thongs are made from a resilient microfiber fabric that is quick drying and super sleek. It’s a composition of 84% nylon and 16% polyester. They’ll be available in three colors: black, green, and orange. You have the sizes options from small to extra large. The thongs are brand with a tag on the left hip that has the JOR star and name on it.

This is a nice looking basic swim thong with good solid color options to start off with. Maybe they’ll expand upon them if they become a good seller. Right now only the colors black and green are available. Orange is coming soon, so keep watch if you want that color. It’s great seeing a brand like JOR adding swim thongs to their line. Hopefully, it means they are becoming more popular amongst us guys.

The Bottom Drawer's Top 8 Favorite Underwear PairsIt’s UNB’s 8th anniversary, so in honor of that I’m going to do a wrap up of my 8 favorite pairs of underwear in my collection. In normal fashion, we’ll count down to my favorite pair.

8. Doreanse Euro Thong (1392)

I finally bought myself this Doreanse thong this year and find it a great thong. For those that remember the Undergear French thong (A300), this is an excellent substitute. I think it is even better. It’s a super soft fabric and a great cut, which I like better than the French thong. It’s sort of a v-string, but with normal thong sides.Doreanse Euro Thong 1392

7. Prevail Sport String Thong Brief

I’m a big fan of the brand Prevail Sport, which you’ll see by this list. So this is my number seven pick from my underwear drawer. It’s basically a traditional cut thong, but a little less frontal coverage. Also these are a nice and snug fit, which is one thing I look for in a great pair of underwear. One thing different with Prevail Sport is they do most of their thong backs in a black lycra fabric.Prevail Sport String Thong Brief

6. Prevail Sport Rio Brief

Number six is another pair from Prevail Sport. The rio brief is again a snug fitting pair that has string sides to show off those legs. The back is a around ¾ back and has a contoured centered seamed front pouch the holds everything nicely.Prevail Sport Rio Brief

5. Fagioni Clip Thong

The Fagionu clip thong is one I have had for a while and it is a very comfortable thong. One I’d recommend for beginners. They’re made out a satin like material and you really don’t know you are wearing a thong. Only negative is they aren’t the snuggest fit, but enough support. The fun part is these have clips on the side for your partner to have easy access or for you to doing a strip tease.Fagioni Clip Thong

4. Dietz Joker Mini Slip

Dietz is a brand I’ve discovered somewhat recently. Of the four pairs I now own, the Joker mini slip is my favorite from them. It comes down to a nice snug fit that holds everything in place. I like the two tone front pouch and yellow just brighten things up.Dietz Joker Bikini Brief

3. Blueline T-Back Thong

Blueline is another brand I’ve discovered in the past few years and I’d say it isn’t a real mainstream brand. Now this is a skimpy thong, which pretty much molds to you. I consider it a v-string and not a t-back. It’s a very narrow v-shaped contour pouch, so may not be for the well endowed. I think it holds everything nicely and basically is showing everything you got off.Blueline T-back Thong

2. Blueline Microfiber String Bikini

This bikini is the first pair of underwear I ordered of the brand Blueline and got me into trying others. I wouldn’t really say there is something spectacular about it. I’m just a fan of a solid string bikini, since they are the first style that I tried when branching out from the dreaded whitey tighties. I love the fit of it and the microfiber fabric.Blueline String Bikini

1. Prevail Sport’s String Brief

I’ve been wearing this bikini style from Prevail Sport for about 15 years now. It has been my go to bikini ever since I discovered them. The cut of the bikini reminds me of the swim briefs that you see bodybuilders wearing. The ¾ back, narrow sides, and just the right amount coverage of the pouch along with the snugness fit make these my top underwear pick. They’re holding the position strong!Prevail Sport String Brief

Brief Talk: Dietz - Underweardude & The Bottom DrawerHi guys, The Bottom Drawer and Underweardude here to do a little discussion on the brand Dietz. Both of us have discovered the brand in the last couple of years and find them to be a good choice. Let’s get down to the questions.

How did you come across the brand Dietz and what grabbed your attention to try them?

The Bottom Drawer: I came across the Dietz brand on Tumblr. I stumbled upon some photos taken by who is now called 68pence on there. I liked that his photos were taken in places like around the house instead of just studio shots. That to me allows me to relate more to the situation and picture myself in the undies. In the end the cut matters along with design, which Dietz fit into my kind of style.

Underweardude: I came across the brand through you (The Bottom Drawer), seeing you on twitter espousing how much you liked them. Since we both share a common interest in skimpier pairs, I decided to check them out. I was drawn to the brand by the predominance of skimpier cuts.

What do you think makes Dietz different from other brands?

Underweardude: I think Dietz’s styling is what sets them apart. They kind of remind me of N2N in a sense, as their pairs usually have a simple but sophisticated look about them. They just ooze sex appeal. I also find it interesting that it is hard to tell their underwear from the swimwear, as you can probably use some as both, I gather. Basically, their choice of cuts and style fits right up my alley.

The Bottom Drawer: I like how you put it “simple but sophisticated look.” It is the subtle color accenting they add into their styles that I think gives their underwear some character and a bit of pop. Be it with the piping, waistband, logo, and/or stitching on their underwear or swimwear.

Favorite pair so far and why?

The Bottom Drawer: The Joker brief of theirs is my favorite so far. It’s a nice snug fitting bikini cut. I also like that the pouch is two toned color with black and yellow and a solid yellow back.

Underweardude: My favorite pair is my only pair by them of yet, the Ocean Brief.

Is there a pair you are wanting to try and why?

Underweardude: I am curious to try one of the brands thongs, As of course more of their bikinis. The choice as of today would likely be from the Firenze or Firenze Sec lines.

The Bottom Drawer: The Firenze lines are the ones I’ve been eyeing too. I really wanted one of the bikinis, but I saw they added a thong cut to the Firenze Sec collection. So now the thong tops the list. Though probably get one of each when the time is right. I think the fabric looks super soft and again the slight color addition at the top of the waist and the logo makes them stand out to me.

Anything you would like to see more of from Dietz?

The Bottom Drawer: Main thing I’d like to see is more thong cuts like the Firenze Sec ones they introduced recently and also skimpier cut bikini style swim briefs. More color options in the styles they already offer would be good too.

Underweardude: I guess all I really want to see more from Dietz is more interesting stuff. Would be really fun to see them keep working on their own style.

That wraps up our talk on Dietz. If you have any question or feedback on Dietz, just comment below.

Wearing Great Underwear Gives Me Fashion

I was trying to think of something different than what I normally say about what underwear gives me,. My normal answers are it gives me confidence or makes me feel sexy. I came up with it giving me fashion. A definition of fashion would say something like a popular trend. Now that isn’t how I see it. We all have our own fashion sense. I’m far from being fashionable especially by that definition (jeans and t-shirt please). I suppose some people would say my underwear isn’t fashionable, since bikinis and thongs aren’t what people think guys wear. I don’t consider something that is the norm as fashionable either.

Moving on to why I think underwear gives me fashion. First off I care about what pair of underwear I wear. I’d say someone that is trying to be fashionable would care what pants and shirt they wear. I don’t mean I care about what brand the underwear is. I care that I have a selection of styles, colors, fabrics. I don’t want to wear the same style and color day after day. Wouldn’t that be boring and unfashionable?

I actually try to make sure the underwear looks good on me in the mirror! I don’t do that with my outer clothes, but jeans and a t-shirts don’t look much different. I bet someone trying to look fashionable checks themselves out in the mirror to make sure they’re looking good. Or maybe I’m just narcissistic there, but highly doubt that. Ok, I’m going to sneak in pretty much what I always say about underwear. Wouldn’t you say that how you dress can give you confidence and make you feel sexy? Hope you said yes, since my so called fashionable underwear does that for me.

In the end I don’t see fashion as wearing the popular trending thing or some big name brand that everyone knows. Fashion is the personal style that makes you you. What makes me me is my choice in underwear, so that is why I consider underwear giving me some fashion. Fashion is in the eye of the beholder.

aussieBum Elite Swim Brif CollectionIt’s pretty much the end of summer here, but that doesn’t mean it is time to pack the swim briefs away. There is always the option of swimming laps at the gym or local indoor pool. If you are a swimmer or an aussieBum lover check out this new swim brief range. Could be a great one to add to your collection to get you through until next summer and beach season.

The Elite line was created with the pro-swimmer in mind. The suits are made out of a chlorine resistant 53% polyester and 47% polybutylene blend. aussieBum says, “This high performance fabric lasts 60x longer than traditional nylon lycra, making it the choice of the Australian Swim Team.” Now you don’t have to be a pro to wear them. They’re just made of good quality material.

This is a moderate cut swim brief along the lines of their 2.5 style cuts. I’d call them a low-rise brief and they do have a drawstring to help keep them snug. The Elite collection is available in three basic colors: red, azure (blue), and black. They feature the aussieBum logo embroidered in white on the left hip. Like you should do with any swimsuit you are to cold rinse after use. Then they can be cold washed and should be line dried in shade without delay. As is all aussieBum items, these are made in Australia and your satisfaction is guaranteed.

Who doesn’t need a good swimsuit that can take the beating of chlorine? What is even better is these are a great price at just under $30. Stop the jammer fad and pull this swim brief out of your bag at your next workout or competition in the pool. Feel like a pro with one of these Elite swim briefs from aussieBum.

aussieBum Undies: What's New?Today we’re going to see what is new at aussieBum in underwear. Mostly the styles are briefs and trunks (hipsters), but there is a bikini (tanga) and jock in the mix. Some are new collections and others are different colors and prints in their existing collection line up. We’ll start with existing collections then move into the new ones.

EnlargeIT Collection

aussieBum has added 3 new digital camo print options to their EnlargeIT line, which feature their ergonomic pouch. You can select either brief or hipster from camo forest, camo ocean, or camo urban. All three have a wide waistband with the aussieBum name on it and have black piping. They’re made out of 92% cotton and 8% elastane fabric. Camo Forest is shades of green. Camo Ocean is in the blue family. Then camo urban is grays with some black. If you like camo then check out this line of underwear.
EnlargeIT Collection

Cottonhill Collection

There are just two colors added to their Cottonhill collection, which 100% ribbed cotton. You get to choose from brief or trunk again with this line. Then the two new colors are white or black. They both have the thicker waistband with aussieBum on it. If you like a nice simple traditional style then here is a line for you.
Cottonhill Collection

Cottonsoft Collection

Here’s another cotton line with a little stretch. It’s made out of 92% cotton and 8% elastane fabric. The Cottonsoft collection also come in brief or hipster and four new color options. First up is inferno gray, which is a red waistband with gray aussieBum on it and then gray body. Its brother is inferno white, which features the same waistband color with a white body. The next two options have a teal or maybe aqua colored waistband with aussieBum in gray. Then you either go for the white or gray body.
Cottonsoft Collection

Pure Collection

The Pure Collection has two new styles added to it along with three new brief colors. Now you have a choice of a jock or bikini (tanga) along with the brief and trunk in this collection. The new brief colors are a baby blue, baby pink, or cloud (white). Now the bikini and jock color option is called Bryon. Byron is a tie dye look with colors of blue, red, yellow, orange, purple, and white. Also, the two styles have white piping. All these options have a thin blue waistband with aussieBum in white. These are made out of a 92% polyester and 8% elastane fabric.
Pure Collection

Billy Collection

The Billy collection adds two new prints options in four colors each. The fabric of this line is a blend of 90% cotton and 10% elastane. Briefs and trunks are your style options with this collection. The prints to choose from are called Eternity and Skulls. Eternity is a paisley pattern with base colors of black, blue, ice (light blue), and red. The paisley pattern is done in white outline. All the Eternity underwear features a thin white waistband with white piping at the leg openings.

Now the skull pattern, of course, has skulls on it, but no cross bones below the skulls. This pattern comes in aqua, black, blue, or red. The aqua, black, and blue all feature white skulls. The red is actually the skull color and the base color is black. Black and Red have black waistbands and leg piping, while the other two colors have white waistbands and leg piping.
Billy Collection

Viva Collection

This is the first new collection we’ll overview. If you want to brighten up your underwear a bit then you’ll want to check the Viva collection out. Your style choices are brief or trunk and color options if blue, green, purple, or red. These have the thicker waistband with the aussieBum name on it in the same color as the body of the underwear. The waistband has a gray background, but it seems more of an accent color with the large text and a stripe of the body color at the base of the waistband. These are made of 90% cotton and 10% elastane.
Viva Collection

Pride Collection

The waistband is what makes this collection. It rainbow stripes with aussieBum in white on it. It’s also a fairly thick looking waistband. The body color of these are white and it’s available in brief or trunk. They’re made out of 87% micro modal and 13% elastane blend. Don’t miss out, since this is a limited edition range.
Pride Collection

Booyah! Collection

If you want something a bit different in the print front and a bit on the fun side then these are ones to look at. This is another limited edition collection and only available in briefs. The fabric is a blend of 90% polyester and 10% elastane . Your options are Pixels, Sweets, Koalas, Sparrows, or Terriers. I’d say Pixels would be a good options for gamers. It has a black base color with white netting (pixel) overlayed over it. Then there are blue, red, and yellow squares with eyes that remind me of ghosts from Pac-Man. There are also speech bubbles on it with some text. Next up is Sweets, which is a base color of white. It has circles of orange, pink, blue, green with a swirl look inside the circles. Koalas have blue koala bear heads on a white background. Some of the koala bears have red Xs as eyes, some have red X eyes and a red mouth, and others are just blue open circle eyes. Sparrows feature blue birds in different stages of flight on a white base color. For the dog lovers you can get the Terriers print, which is a silhouette of the dog. The silhouettes are in the colors of red, yellow, blue, green, purple, and orange on white background. These all have the thick waistband with aussieBum on them.
Booyah Collection

These are made out of a blend of 90% cotton and 10% elastane fabric. They are available in brief or trunk and in 8 options. The countries represented are Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Taiwan, and USA. All the waistbands of these say Property of the country name, but in the country language. Australia has a yellow waistband with green lettering, kangaroo, and two stripes with the body color of blue. The waistband of Brazil also is yellow with green lettering. It also has a thin stripe at the base of the waistband while the top has a thicker green stripe with a yellow diamond with a blue circle in it like their flag. Brazil’s body color is blue. France has a white body with a blue waistband with gray text and rooster. At the top of the waistband is a stripe that alternates in color blue, white, and red like their flag. Germany’s waistband also resembles their flag with stripes of black, red, yellow. The text on the waistband is on the red stripe in yellow. The body of the underwear is black. Great Britain’s body is white and the waistband has red, blue, white along with gray lettering. The waistband also has their flag worked into the design. Red and yellow are the colors of Spain. The body is red and the waistband is yellow with red lettering and two red stripes at the bottom and one at the top. Taiwan’s body color is navy and the waistband main color is red. The lettering is in gray. The top of the waistband a thick blue stripe that has half of the sun that is on their flag in gray. Below the text at the bottom of the waistband is a thinner blue line. Last up is the USA, which body color is white. The waistband contains thing red white stripes at the top and bottom of the waistband. In the middle is the blue stripe with white lettering and stars. If you are one that likes to display your waistband then this would be a great collection to use to show your support for your country.
World Series Collection

Now you have it. The new line up in aussieBum underwear. So what is tempting you from the list? I haven’t tried out their underwear line yet, but their tangas would be on my list to give a try. I like that they have a thin waistband. There is also a lot of limited edition items in these collections, so you don’t want to wait too long and miss out.

DC6-16-15N2N Bodywear furnished the DC5 SLIK Bikini in the color mocha for review.

Rating: 9.8/10
Daily Fit: 10/10
Sizing: 10/10
Construction: 10/10
Styling: 9/10
Daily Performance: 10/10
Pros: Nice soft fabric
Cons: No real cons, but only available in 4 colors
The Bottom Drawer Recommendation: Overall this is a solid bikini brief that would be great for everyday wear and probably be fine for active activities like sports.

This is the sister or maybe brother of the DC5 Slik G I reviewed a little bit back. I’m going to start with the slight modifications I’d make to the DC6 Slik Bikini, which are only personal preference. I’d like the front pouch to be a little narrower and a little less back coverage. With that being said these are super comfortable and a great bikini.

As I said with the G review, I was concerned about the pouch of these after my first experience with a pair of N2N. I am pleased with the fit of the pouch and the amount of support they give. N2N calls the pouch seamless, which is the look that it gives you of a smooth pouch with no seams. The pouch does have some stitching at the base of the pouch to give it some contouring. This contouring helps cradle the boys.

The fabric of the bikini brief I received actually feels softer to me than the thong version and feels great on. Both are made out of a blend of 92% polyester and 8% spandex fabric. I’m not a fan of the elastic waistbands that carry the brand name on them, so these are right up my alley there. They do have a small N2N logo tag on the right hip, which is subtle and how I think it should be. Another criteria that this pair of underwear met of mine are narrow sides. These come in at around one inch.

The two modifications I mentioned early do not detract from this being an excellent bikini brief. I would considering adding another pair of these to the collection. They are a little bit more than I would like to pay for a pair of underwear, but they are made in the USA. I do really like the mocha color (called brown on their website) I received. It is actually a color I don’t have in my underwear drawer, so it is a nice addition.

What's New In AussieBum Swimwear

aussieBum has quite a few additions to their swim briefs with some of them being limited edition. The collections to check out are Luxe, Hombre, Insignia, Xposeit, World Series, Gloss, and Vintage Stripe. These collections are for the most part just different fabric, pattern, and/or color options in current cuts they offer. But there is one new style that I’m excited about and that is the Xposeit collection, which is the one I’ll start.

Xposeit Collection

The name of the collection tells you a lot about this swim brief. This is the skimpiest cut of swim briefs that AussieBum offers. So it will be giving you greatest exposure of your skin to the sun and everyone else. It’s available in 3 colors: black, blue, and gold. The blue looks like it may be leaning towards a bit of a teal. It’s made from a blend of 80% nylon and 20% elastane fabric. Which should give you more of a traditional swim brief fit over the 100% nylon suits. Go get this swim brief and shrink those tan lines some.
XPOSEIT Options

Luxe Collection

The Luxe collection is their limited edition swimsuit with only 150 made per style. The fabric comes from France’s leading boutique fabric knitting company. It is made of a blend of 95% polyester and 5% elastane fabric. It’s available in seven color options. The first is Blue Angel, which reminds me of fish scales that are blue and white highlights. Then there is Coral Beauty that makes me think of an Indian pattern that is green, red, yellow, and tan. Next up is Flame Snapper, which is an interesting print. It’s stripes of yellow. Orange, pink, red, and black that also have a diamond pattern incorporated into it. Like lots of colors then the Rainbow Runner might be to your liking with it’s stripes of colors. Redfin is multiple shades of pink with kind of a beaded stripe and wavy stripe pattern. Then there is Stingray, which is white and looks like a random basketweave pattern. Lastly, there is Zebra Shark. It’s a black and white zig-zag striped typically called Chevron.
Luxe Options

Hombre Collection

The Hombre line is inspired by flames and hair. It’s available in two color options and it made of a blend of 90% polyester and 10% elastane fabric. The first color option is called Flame. It’s base color is black and then has yellow and reddish orange narrow hair like flame pattern on it. Your other option is called Ice. It also has a black base color with a turquoise hair pattern. I like the subtleness of the color pattern on this collection.
Hombre Options

Insignia Collection

Insignia Collection is available in two color options and is based on the chevron print. You can choose either Atlantic or Pacific.  They’re made out of a blend of 90% polyester and 10% elastane fabric . Atlantic has a white base color and navy and red zig zag. Pacific also has the white base color, but with blue and yellow zig zags. The color zig zags vary in widths, but they are all on the thin side compared to other chevron prints I’ve seen.
Insignia Options

World Series Collection

This collection is inspired by showing your country spirit especially for the Olympics. It’s a limited edition line, so grab your country’s pair before it is too late. They are made out of 100% nylon and represent five countries: Australia, France, Germany, Great Britain, and USA. Australia features a green base color with yellow (gold) kangaroos. The base color of France brief is blue and it has red and white rooster. Germany’s main color is black with red and yellow (gold) griffins. Great Britain’s also features the griffins, but in red and blue on white. Red is the base color of the USA and it has white eagles along with blue eagles with white stars. The World Series collection would be a great way to show your country support at the pool or beach.
World Series Options

Gloss Collection

The AussieBum’s Gloss collection gives a classic swimwear brief a luxuriant wet-look. Made of an Italian fabric of 80% polyamide and 20% elastane blend. Available in three colors with white accent sides. Pick from Cherry, Diamond (white), or Noir (black). If you want to glisten in your swim brief then checkout this line.
Gloss Options

Vintage Stripe Collection

The last collection is the Vintage Stripe. Which is available in the classic style or with the wonderjock (gives that extra lift and support). Vintage Stripe briefs are made of 100% polyester. The wonderjock version comes in three color choices. Which all feature vertical stripes of the same width. You have the option of Brando (white and blue stripes), Dean (black and olive stripes), and Gable (white, blue, red, and light blue stripes).

Now the classic style is available in 6 new options and their stripes vary between pairs. First up is Flynn, which has equal width vertical stripes of blue, yellow, red, and light blue. The Hudson option has a base tan color with various widths of vertical stripes of brown, black, and blue. Next up is Valentino with has equal width vertical stripes of white, red, and blue. Wayne also has equal width vertical stripes that are white, yellow, and aqua. The Welles brief is the only one that isn’t vertical stripes. It features thin diagonal stripes of silver on a black base color. To round out the classic style, the last option is Chaplin. It features wide navy stripes (base color) with white and red vertical stripe accents.
Vintage Stripe Options

Now that is a lot of new options for us all to try out. What one(s) have caught your eye? Comment and let us know. I’m personally leaning towards getting Xposeit in the blue. Also like the looks of Luxe Blue Angel, Hombre Flame, Hombre Ice, and Vintage Stripe Chaplin.

SHOW YOURThe Olympics are here and in full swing now. How are you supporting your country during the Olympics? Here at UNB we of course like the idea of supporting our country with our underwear. Nothing better than showing your support with the first layer you put on for the day. An even better way to show off your country spirit is breaking out the swimwear that represents it at the beach or pool. Everyone will know who you support for sure that way.

Unfortunately, I’m unprepared for sporting my country flag on my underwear or swimwear. I’ll be going the color route. I use to have a pair of bikinis from Kiniki’s called Stateside. They would have been an excellent choice to support the USA. Since I did not prepare with flag underwear or swimwear for the Olympics. I decided I should go out and explore the options. I’ve put together two boards one for underwear and the other for swimwear. Both will feature choices to show your country spirit. I’m a bikini, thong, and swim brief fan, so that is what you’ll find listed. I’ll continue adding as I come across more.

For swimwear, I’ve come across pairs from CA-RIO-CA, Emporio Armani, Turbo, Dolfin, Splish, TYR, and Arena. The countries represented are Australia, Brazil, Cuba, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, UK, and USA. Check them out the swimwear Pinterest Boards.

Ok, finding bikini and thong flag underwear was more of a challenge than I expected. I found a few on Aliexpress. Also came across a couple pairs on Deadgoodundies. So far only had luck for bikini and thongs for USA and UK fans. Will keep working on finding more and adding to the board. Keep an eye on all the patriotic options on Pinterest.

Either it be underwear/swimwear featuring your country’s flag or just your country’s colors. Make sure you support your country and athletes.

Cha-Ching: Save On Those Undies

Ok, I’ll admit it I’m somewhat of a penny pincher. A little less so when it comes to underwear than other things, but I watch and wait for deals. Since getting married and having kids, I’ve had to cut down on my underwear spending. Nowadays I try to get the most bang for my buck. One thing I follow pretty strictly is not to pay more than $12 a pair though I do have a splurge rule. The rule is that if it is a pair I really want and it is on sale for a great price then I can consider it. Let’s move on to some of my methods to try and keep my spending under control.

First, there are some brands of underwear out there that do sell pairs under $12. No, it isn’t just Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. I do however still wait for sales on them. You probably don’t buy a car or television at the first place you look, so why do that with your underwear? Yes, you’re not spending as much money as on those big ticket items. But you sometimes can save a couple dollars on a pair. That’s a couple dollars towards another pair. Also with comparison shopping. You’ll start to learn how brand and retailer pricing compares to each other. This will come in handy with my main way to try to get some savings.

Another way to save some money is to check out the sale and clearance section. These items are most likely discontinued styles or colors. But good savings if they still have your size. Another thing to watch is shipping rates. These vary from place to place and free shipping isn’t always the best place to buy. A lot of times that is built into the price anyhow. So when comparison shopping make sure you factor in shipping.

Now if you do all the above work, you should have a good idea of some good places to shop for some underwear. The next step to even more savings is signing up for retailer and brand emails. Also, you can follow them on social media sites. Don’t stop there. Take time watching what comes into your inbox and social media feed from them before jumping on the deal. Over time you can learn what kind of deals they offer and which ones are their best ones. Once you know their best ones then you’ll know the times to buy.

What money saving tips do you use when shopping for underwear? Comment and let us know.

You Should Own One - Speedo Solar Swim Brief

To preface this post a bit, I do prefer more of a bikini style swim brief or micro brief. My favorite swim brief is the HOM micro swim brief, which they no longer produce. The one I’m going to suggest that you should have in your collection. Is between a typical swim brief and a micro brief.

I’ll call this brief the skimpiest conservative swimsuits that is perfect to wear anywhere you please. It should be acceptable swim attire everywhere that it is acceptable for a women to wear a bikini. It’s a swim brief that pretty much gives you full frontal and rear cover. The best feature is it has narrower sides than a typical swim brief. This suit is made by Speedo and they list it as one of their best sellers. So what swim brief is it that I think everyone should own?

If you haven’t guessed by now or figured it out from the picture. The swimsuit I’m talking about is the Speedo Solar 1″ Brief. This is one case where I think a well known brand is somewhat of a benefit. With Speedo being a big swim brand, I think it helps some with acceptability. This is especially so, since swim briefs still seem to be shunned to some extent. Normally, I don’t recommend something because it is a particular brand, a trending brand, or a big brand. But doesn’t hurt in this case.

This suit is great for reducing your tan lines at least a bit more over a normal swim brief. Though the sides are more of 1 1/2″ width than the 1″ stated. They’re well made with them being the Speedo brand. It’s a great fitting swim brief and one that will stay where it belongs swimming or in the waves. This is also a great transition swim brief for those wanting to go from a full swim brief to more of a micro swim brief. So far I have 5 styles/colors of this swim brief and would not hesitate to add more. Once I finally break into a full fledged swim brief wearer at the beach. This is going to be my go to conservative swim brief.

BRAND: Speedo
LINE: Swimwear
STYLE: Solar 1″
COLORS: Cyan, Orange Crush, Navy, Atlantic Blue, US Red, White, Lava Grey and Black
FABRIC: 80% nylon, 20% lycra
SIZES: Even waist sizes in inches

DC5-16-26N2N Bodywear furnished the DC5 SLIK G in a nice rich deep teal color for review.

Rating: 9.4/10
Daily Fit: 9/10
Sizing: 10/10
Construction: 10/10
Styling: 9/10
Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros: Great back cut
Cons: No real cons, but only available in 4 colors

I’m pleasantly surprised with the fit of the DC5 Slik G thong (furnished by N2N Bodywear). I was a little concerned about the pouch being too roomy after my experience with the N2N Vintage G, but the Slik G’s pouch is right on to my liking. N2N calls it a seamless front pouch, which is the look that it gives you of a smooth front pouch. The pouch does have some stitching at the base of the pouch to give it some contouring.

I really like the back cut of this thong. It’s a little skimpier than a traditional cut thong where the sides come to create the tail. You know where you get the triangle right above the cheeks. How it is cut, you don’t have a lot of fabric between the cheeks at the top. The tail is a pretty consistent width all the way down through the cheeks. You still get the sexy traditional thong look for your backside with the Slik G. You do feel you have a thong on with these. I think it is part to the thickness of the elastic that is used, but it’s still comfortable. They just give you the reminder you are a stud in a thong.

Here’s some specifics about the thong. The thong feature a small N2N logo tag on the right hip. I find this refreshing from the blazing elastic waistbands promoting brand names. The tail is about 7/8″ wide and the sides are about 1″. The pouch does seem pretty supportive. I’d consider wearing them for something active like sports. They’re made out of 92% polyester and 8% spandex, which gives them a silky or satiny feel with some stretch. The N2N brand is made in Los Angeles. It’s available in 4 colors: brown, teal, dark gray, and slik sand.

Only modification I’d make to the thong is a little narrower front pouch. That would not stop me from getting the thong in another color though. Overall this is a great fitting thong and I would recommend giving one a try.

The Bottom Drawer Underwear Collection and ManagementA reader asked about the size of our collections and how we manage them in terms of deciding what to keep, what to wear on a daily basis, etc. Here’s kind of how I handle mine. First off, I use to think I had a large collection of underwear. That perception changed some, since I started blogging. I’ve heard the amount of what others have and it seems I need to go on a buying binge. At the moment I’m approaching 175 pairs of bikinis and thongs. I’m slightly weighted more towards bikinis than thongs, but not by much.

I first separate my underwear into what I call old, but still good to wear and then my good ones. So I have about 125 I consider good and 50 I consider old. Now the old pairs I wear more when I’m planning on getting sweaty, since sweat can be hard on the material and elastic. The good obviously would be my everyday pairs. When does good become old and old become retired? Basically old underwear gets retired if the elastic is shot or develops a hole. Good underwear becomes old if it has been around a while, fades, or gets discolored. Also any general signs of wear or one I don’t really wear much and don’t care about.

What I choose to wear for the day normally just depends on my mood in the morning. If I’m in the mood for a thong I go for it otherwise it will be a bikini. Some days I want a real nice snug fitting pair; other days just whatever. If I know I’m going to be active like playing a sport then it will be a great supporting pair. If I know I might be seen in my undies then I most likely won’t go too crazy with my choice. Typically that means no thong and nothing too loud or sheer. I’m finally past the point that I don’t care too much if I’m seen in a bikini that is a little on the skimpy side. Now it doesn’t mean I try to let the world see, but if someone gets a peek so be it. Next step is to get to that point with a thong. I’m not one to match my underwear to my outfit. I have enough trouble matching tops and bottoms as is. I try to match for the holiday or occasion, since my wife points out when I don’t. That’s the general idea on how I manage my undies.

Why I Love Underwear - The Bottom Drawer

Some people get a rush from bungee jumping, sky diving, rock climbing, or other extreme activities. You’d probably call those activities a bit daring and a walk on the wild side. Well, for me underwear is my walk on the wild side. Now you may say how does underwear give you a rush? First off I don’t wear what you typically would picture a guy wearing. I enjoy skimpier styles of underwear. You know the bikinis and thongs that people say ‘eeew’ about when it’s a guy. Yeah you know who you are – just get over it. Nothing wrong with us guys enjoying skimpy underwear in this day and age.

Okay, back to how it’s a rush. First there is a rush when that new pair arrives in the mail and the anticipation of trying it on. Hopefully, once you pull the new pair on it meets or exceeds your expectation. Otherwise say bye bye rush. Also not meeting the norm for guys underwear gives a bit of a rush along with daring I’d say. Sometimes out and about it might hit me that I’m wearing a bikini or a thong. Which gives a little rush knowing most likely none of the other guys are.

I think daring pretty much speaks for itself with my underwear choice, since it is not a typical male choice. With the wild side it is partly because it is against the norm. Most people likely see me as a quiet, conservative person, so who would think I’d be wearing a thong or bikini. Let alone my obsession with them. So I think they would see it as a wild side.

Now I wouldn’t just be wearing bikinis and thongs for a rush, to be daring, and have a wild side. Those are side effects of me discovering these styles for men. I wear them, because I find them more comfortable than briefs or boxers. I do not like having the restriction around my legs that the leg openings caused by briefs. I like support that boxers do not give. They make you feel sexy and give you a boost of confidence. They’re fun. It’s nice to wake up and pick out a pair that fits the mood of the day. Maybe even pick a pair to change the mood of the day if need be instead of slipping on the same thing day in and day out. An added bonus is my wife seems to enjoy finding out my choice for the day.

Suggestions to Help Break Out The Swim Brief

I did a post similar to this on my blog, but thought it would be appropriate to write one for UNB with the UNB 2016 swim brief and swim thong challenge going on. These ideas should work for both swim brief and swim thongs. For swim thongs you need to make sure it is legal to wear one at the location. A typical swim brief should be legal pretty much everywhere.

My first suggestion is to try and find a less busy beach or a portion of a beach that is less populated. I find it easier to strip down to a swim brief when there are less people around. I also try to avoid high school and college ages. Since they’re more ingrained in the swim trunk and board short era.

Another idea is to get to the beach early and set up and be in your suit before others get there. Then it is their choice to set up near you. Once I’m already wearing my swim brief, for some reason I don’t mind as much as other people show up. Now I don’t normally set up near a main area of the beach. I keep the above suggestion in mind.

This is the one that got me last summer. Don’t wear swim trunks over your swim brief! It makes it a lot harder to drop them to display the swim briefs. If you are wearing regular shorts then, it would make the appearance that you normally wear swim briefs when you remove them. I’ve been told just wear the swim brief from the car to the beach or even from the house to the beach and leave the shorts at home. Next time I’ll be wearing shorts instead of trunks over my swim brief.

My last suggestion is bring someone to support and encourage you. If it wasn’t for my wife, I may still not have worn a swim brief in public. So go find someone to support you, be it your spouse, significant other, a good friend, or maybe even an opened minded family member. Obviously has to be someone you trust and think will be supportive in your breaking the male swimwear norm.

Now just find that right day and take the challenge and make sure you let UNB know by tweeting us with the hashtag #unbswim and include a picture if you desire.

Year of The Swim Brief - The Bottom DrawerWell, the last couple years was suppose to be the year of the swim brief for me, but for the most part that didn’t happen. The swim brief mainly appeared in my backyard and not the beach or pool, which was the real goal. My past public Speedo swim brief appearances have mainly been on vacations at less populated beaches or pools. I find it easier to get the confidence up to strip down to a swim briefs at these times. In hopes of increasing my chances of sporting just a swim brief I added some more conservative swim briefs to my collection last year, since the Speedo 1” Solar was really my most conservative one. The hope was I’d be more confident to wear them with a little more coverage at the local beaches near where I live, since it is a rarity that one is seen. I only had one chance last year and of course I chickened out.

Now it is 2016 and summer is slowly approaching here, so what better thing to start thinking about is the beach and swim briefs. Always easier to imagine it than doing it unfortunately. Now if you haven’t heard yet that UNB is bringing back their swim brief challenge this year and adding in a swim thong challenge, you have just been informed. If you do the challenge all you have to do is tweet @UNBBlog with the hashtag #unbswim that you did the challenge and include a picture if you like.

So with me contributing to UNB, it makes sense that I should join in the challenge and break the swim brief out of the backyard in 2016. Hopefully, it will be met several times when summer is here at the local beaches. Watch for the hashtag #unbswim coming from me on twitter when summer approaches. Maybe even some photographic proof will be included.
