After meeting up with Geovanny at Magic in Vegas we got a chance to ask him a few questions. He’s one of the hottest new designers in men’s underwear and we had to get him on the site. I hope you guys enjoy this interview.
What made you get into the world of Underwear designing?
I had always had a dream of designing, and when my male review show (Geovanny and the Boys) , had come to and end , I knew it was time. 
Where do you get your inspirations for the innovative designs you have?
I love the styles that came out in the 70s and I wanted to incorporate the old school running short with the side scallop to my underwear design , and that’s how the Geovanny brief come to be, also added the Power Pouch that is a signature trade makr of the Geovannyunderwear line. Alexander Brief is part of the higher end line and its just sexy , clean and totally comfortable. the western style rear yolk emphasizes your rear w/no gimmicks, and its a trade mark of the GeovannyUnderwear line. Briefs don’t have to be brief , even if there white.
Tell us about the Garter jock, it’s been a big hit on the blog?
WOW! this one is just blowing out everywhere! I really do love it! Well i needed to come out w/a jock for the higher end line and was stumped on how I was going to make it happen, when you look at it , its pretty self explanatory , but it is actually a complete new design all the way around. I love the women’s garter jock look, and wanted to see if i could translate it to men. The end result is just screams sexy!
How important do you feel colors are in men’s underwear?
I think color in men’s underwear line is great . We all have the basic whites , blacks , grays. Once you have those everything else is just fun /show off underwear. Imagine your getting ready to take of you jeans ,and what we are all use to expect would be white /black basics, but then you reveal a sexy blue or even hot pink , now your considered some that takes risk’s , its going to be an interesting night!
Who you do see wearing your underwear?
Anyone that loves to try new things, anyone that wants to feel sexy underneath even when your all cover up.
How has the underwear buying public reacted to the line?

A few weeks back we told you about the Jock Party they had in LA for Timoteo. I forgot they sent us pics and wanted to share the with you. If you are like me you aren’t anywhere near LA and wanted to see pics of the event. Here they are I hope you enjoy
I have to say one of the biggest surprises for me in the world of undies is the Animal Print undies. I have just been amazed at the popularity of them, so many of you guys just love the. I’m not sure if it’s just something really wild and unexpected or the fun factor that makes them a favorite. Over the past year more and more companies have come out with animal print. The latest line if Pikante, and NuWear has them all!
The line consists of Jaguar, Snake Skin & Cheetah. The first two pics are the Cheetah, while the second tow are of the Jaguar. The new jock in the first picture is a really cool and different design. Lately there have been many companies just re-visioning the jockstrap. They turned it into more of an every day pair, rather then something you wear for just sports events. They didn’t stop there they have made thongs and briefs a lot more fun with the new designs. The second pair is a thong with a cut out at the top. While the last two are more traditional cuts in the new fabrics.

This post is a little past due. I was hoping to post it last month, but with Magic/Curve and then getting a staph infection (which is nasty stuff) I finally get the chance to sit down and write it up.
I got this idea from FreshPair.com. When they did National Underwear Day, they had a figure that 80% of Americans stick with the same style of underwear in their adult life. For instance, if you wore briefs as an adult, odds are you would still wear them at 20 as you do at 40. This made me think of my own underwear habits. Which seemed to be the reverse of this survey. I’m not saying the survey is flawed or wrong, but it got me asking some underwear friends. They pretty much agreed that they are in the 20% that wear many different things.
If you have read this blog for a while you read how most of us got into underwear and I will go over my story for a quick sec, for those who don’t know. Well, I got started loving undies in my teens, at 13 I got my first pair of bikinis and never looked back. From then on I wore them through high school, and it wasn’t till about 7-8 years later I wore anything else. Then I started to wear thongs and jocks, which I loved and then boxer briefs (which at the time I hated), fuller briefs.
As I get older I definitely try more and more. I see a pair and want to try it. My favorites right now are (granted they are subject to change next month): Pouch Briefs, Bikinis, Briefs, Trunks, Thongs, Jocks and then Boxer Briefs.
I think most people who read the blog and are really into underwear are willing to try more. While the general population is more content on buying the same thing. I hear on twitter, Facebook and more people spending up to $300 on undies and the variety they get is amazing.
I started last month a group of guys that will weigh in on topics in underwear. This was a great post to have them give their opinions on, here is what they said:

- Have you stuck with the same style? If so what is the style you prefer, if not why? i have tended to gravitate towards jocks and thongs. I have everything from boxer briefs to g strings. but most days its jocks and thongs. I love really anything that is kinda sluty where nobody can see (unless i bend over) then it becomes this whole exibition thing..
- What style did you wear in High school? thongs mostly
- What style or styles do you wear now? jock and thongs but like bikinis and briefs too.
- If you don’t stick to one style, what makes you change to a different style? depends on my mood, if i feel more fem i will put a thong on if i feel really butch i will put a jock on.
- Today i think it will be my rheb jock since we will be traveling, i always wear a jock on long trips….

- Have you stuck with the same style? If so what is the style you prefer, if not why? I used to wear boxers, but then i started wearing boxer briefs as soon as I got tired of boxers. Later after I started wearing trunks and briefs and now that is all i wear but majority of the time I used briefs now that is all I wear
- What style did you wear in High school? I wore boxer briefs mostly during high school now till when i was 19 i started wearing briefs as well
- What style or styles do you wear now? It varies I like many different types of trunks and briefs that is what I usually like buying. I don’t have one specific brand I buy but i have a couple of brands.
- If you don’t stick to one style, what makes you change to a different style?I change depending on what I’m feeling like wearing, and also depending on the type of jeans i wear so i can be more comfortable

- Have you stuck with the same style? If so what is the style you prefer, if not why? I fall into that 20% who doesn’t stick to one kind. There is pretty much any kind out there that I would wear or try, and pretty much like. I love trunks, thongs, compression shorts, briefs, boxers…. it just depends on the day and what I feel like wear, sometimes change twice a day depending on if I’m going out or doing something out of the house.
- What style did you wear in High school? When i was in high school i was really into boxer briefs. But I that is when I started to branch out and try some new things.The first interesting pair i had bought was this silky blue briefs,they were wide mesh in the back, and the front pouch was sold blue. I’ll never forget them.
- What style or styles do you wear now? Lately I have been buying a lot of short leg trunks.I have always loved this style most of my life. I find them extremely comfortable and a perfect form fitting style. Also right now I have been trying to find underwear that does not have a tight waistband but will also be form fitting every where else, sometimes I find waistbands to be a pain in the butt.
- If you don’t stick to one style, what makes you change to a different style?I love all different types of fabrics, so the main reason why I buy different styles is the design all the way. As long as it catches my eye I take it from there. But I also look for something that I find sexy, or I think my partner would find sexy. If its got a unique twist to it, I’m all about it.

I got this in an email from our friends at Jockstrap Central. They said: we went back in the studio with Santos this morning. I’ve been getting some new products from Omtex ready for a Friday launch and came across this photos of Santos in our Omtex army camo jockstrap while editing them and had to share it. This has got to be one of our hottest photos of Santos yet! We agree and hope you enjoy this sneak peek.
We’re back with more Spanx reviews! Now it’s time for the Tank review. I was hoping the tank would have the same fit and feel as the t-shirt I liked so well. I really did love the shirt.
I wore this one to another networking event. Notice a trend here! I’m looking for a full time job and being in marketing, you have to network your butt off. Sell yourself! I wish UNB was my only job. Like the other shirt, it wasn’t too difficult to put on. Granted, some of the shape-ware can be a 
workout just to put it on and, once it’s on, you don’t take it off till you’re done.
I really loved the achieved fit of these, making you appear thinner. The fit was good and not too tight. The material of the tank and the t-shirt is very high quality. It’s a 81/19% mix of cotton and spandex, one I think will hold up well for many uses. Knowing the reputation of Spanx, I wouldn’t expect anything but high quality products.
This one also rode up in the back, but again, I’m not too sure that it’s not more me being tall than the design. It didn’t’ ride up as much as the t-shirt. As I said, if it is the only downside, it’s a minor one.
The shirt retails for $55 which is a lot for a shirt, but if you are looking for great shape enhancing gear, you can’t go wrong with this shirt. It will be well worth the initial investment.

In the two years I have been doing this site, I have never had more requests than for Spanx for Men. It is now a reality. Right now, they only have shirts but there are plans for more underwear coming very soon. If you aren’t familiar with Spanx, they are a company making garments for women, and now men, to appear slimmer. I was given the opportunity to review two different shirts: the Crew and the Tank in the Cotton Compression line.
Granted, I’m a beefy guy. Not sure if many of you out there know that by looking at the staff information on the “Abo
ut” page of the site. I know underwear in general is about the new, the hot, and the now, taking into consideration how how a guy is in them. We’ve noticed a growing interest in shape-ware, including me. That being said, we can carry on with the review.
The first shirt to review is the Crew. It’s basically the t-shirt of the line. I pulled it out of the box and it looked a little small. I thought, “Oh no. I will have a fight getting this on.” There is nothing worse than having to struggle while putting on your clothes. I had a bit of a struggle but nothing bad.
I wore the shirt to a networking event. The first thing I noticed is that it felt like I has holding my stomach in without actually doing it. Noticed I did look thinner. It really surprised me. I also noticed my posture was amazing. In this shirt, you can’t help but stand tall, almost as if it is forcing you into the position. I really liked it and will definitely wear it to more networking events and interviews.
There was a downside. I think this is mainly because I am so tall. The shirt rode up a bit in the back, sometimes noticeable, but other times not so much. Being 6’4” (1.93 meters), this is a problem I usually face. I’m not sure it’s a design flaw, but rather that I’m tall and no matter what, it may ride. If someone else purchases these, let me know if you have this issue. If this is the worst thing about the shirt, then it’s pretty much awesome.
